Not great really, first impression was great as it looked like they had it sorted every thing covered up pastry wise and behind glass. Made my order. Cinnabon Iced Latte. Walked out took a sip, missing syrup went back in. (not a problem mistakes happen but it’s how you acknowledge the mistake) They remade it. No simple apology or anything. Just handed it to me nothing said like I was a bit of a nuisance. I come down here to Yeovil from up north reasonably regularly on business but won’t be returning here!

New staff again and not a happy experience. My wife always likes a hot chocolate but likes it weak. Today I asked for a weak hot chocolate and when it came out I could see it was strong. I explained what I had ordered and the lady was not happy poured the drink in the sink and throw the mug in the other sink . And was very rude when I tried to ask for half the amount of chocolate. There used to be a sign saying if the drink is not to your liking they would remake it . Very poor and the staff just look like they don't want to be there !!

Rude customer service from the Middle Aged brunette staff member!! Customer service from this place was absolutely shocking. The lady who served us today clearly has no manners. The glass we were given originally was filthy with what looked like dry chocolate on the rim, so kindly asked for a clean class for our cold drink- she proceeded to huff and tell me to get a glass from the water station. The order was wrong as they gave us the wrong cake so I went up to ask for the correct cake to which she said I had asked for the wrong one. I corrected her and told her that this was her mistake which she refused to accept. We managed to get the correct food, however the service here is let down by rude staff like this woman.

Nice atmosphere, lovely coffee, hot chocolate and as for their cappuccino cake..yum! However though most of the staff are really lovely still some training needed for newer staff, I have had the same young girl each time recently and she does tend to get the order wrong unfortunately. Try to overlook it but with the prices so high at the moment it is very annoying. Today I popped in to get a takeaway hot choc with cream/no marshmallows. Not till I got home did I gag on the marshmallows! Hate them, filled the cup too so very little choc to drink. She does need to concentrate more.

Coffee Hashtag 1 Is a mini-chain in this part of the world. In more exciting localities such as Bridport or Dorchester it is an also-rand. In the dreary gunge that is Yeovil town centre it feels a major attraction. A large space, exemplary coffee, cakes and even pastries and baps. It began in Cardiff spread across small towns in the west of England but now reaches as far as Banbury, Birmingham, Buckingham and Chipping Sodbury. Now 70% owned by Cafe Nero I fear it will merge into its competitors. In Yeovil it is distinct mainly for its hard faux leather sofas.

Had a coffee and sandwich yesterday and was shocked given current COVID climate , that during our stay a minimum of three tables of customers left and none of the tables were wiped down or sanitized before new customers sat down for food and drink at the same tables . We frequently have coffee and light lunch at M&S and even before COVID , tables were always thoroughly cleaned before the next customer . We will not be visiting here again for this reason which is a shame as the coffee and sandwiches / cakes are lovely .

This coffee shop is slightly cheaper then the bigger chains but has a nice cosy feel about it. Staff are helpful and friendly, the cafe and facilities are very clean and there are also drawing, crayons and books to entertain little ones. There toasted tea cake is excellent value and the Babiccino are perfect for little ones served with marshmallows and chocolate powder and are very reasonably priced. As well as very tempting cakes they do homemade porridge and toast a life saver for fussy eaters and the coffee is smooth and not bitter at all. Lets start with a positive shall we, my Latte and my Girlfriends Tea were tasty. But unfortunately there were a handful of negatives as thus, the person behind the till was pretty grumpy, the large size cup isn't as big as Costa's, the table was annoyingly wobbly, no one attempted to clean the previous persons plates and cups off the table for us even though we were in the café for well over 30 minutes and also there is no WiFi. As soon as you step into the café you lose the strong 4g signal, so you would have to wait until you leave to read any important emails or such.I can see why Costa was ram packed and this place wasn't.Shame.I think they could do with a much more pro-active and motivating manager.

First visit to Coffee#1 last Monday. My friend and I were both taken with the slightly quirky interior. In these days of relentless corporate identity, it was refreshing to find a coffee-shop with personality. Furnished with older pieces - mismatched tables and chairs, comfortable sofas and armchairs - it was apparent that recycling and the environment is important to the company. This impression was further reinforced by the little eco-aware poem on their napkins, asking that you take only what you need, and the fact that customers are invited to help themselves to bags of used coffee grounds to put in their compost. Also liked their bookshelves full of books. The idea that you are welcome to linger over a cup of coffee and a piece of cake with a good book is very appealing. The staff were polite, friendly and efficient. The coffees (a mocha and a cappuccino) and sticky toffee cake were both very good and not overly expensive. Coffee#1 has a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere, ticks all the coffee-shop boxes and we will certainly go there again.

I went into this place today for a coffee with my Mum and despite being the only customers at the food area it was a while before anybody took our order despite there being 3 women there at the time and the restaurant was very quiet as it was late afternoon. The coffees came and toasted sandwich that we ordered but when we sat down at a table we were rather disgusted by the cleanliness of the table, or should I say, lack of it. I politely asked the young lady who brought our order over if she could wipe the table for us and she sent over another young girl over to wipe it. She very quickly wiped it over but left lots of stains on the table but the worst of it was that as the table was an old pine tonge-in-groove type there was lots of old crumbs and sugar between the grooves. My Mum just mentioned it to the girl and her reply was "oh there is nothing I can do about that". We sat there and had our coffee and sandwich which was fine but rather spoiled by the disgusting mess on the table. When we got up to leave I went across to the counter and spoke to another youngish lady with dark hair about the mess on the table, despite it having been wiped over, pointing out all the food in the grooves of wood but was again told that there couldn't do anything about it. There was no apology or attempt to clean it, they seemed rather annoyed that I had even mentioned it. Anyone with any common sense could see what was needed was to get a brush or a vacuum cleaner to get the food crumbs out. It was disgusting to look at and I wouldn't want to eat there again. Poor hygiene and disinterested staff.

There are many places to stop for coffee in Yeovil, but this still remains our favourite. We love it's unique interior, it is cosy and not cramped. The service, however, could be a little faster.

I always coming there with my best friend and get white hot chocolate. It's delicious! Caffe latte as well. They cold drinks are amazing too. I like atmosphere and decorating inside. People on weekend are many many that why sometimes are tables dirty cause this 4-5 people can't doing everything. Generally. I like this place.

Been in Coffee 1 many times now and the staff in there are always polite and pleasant and I love the blueberry porridge and selection of fruit smoothies in there. Always enjoy the atmosphere in there too and the service is always efficient and the food in there is very enjoyable as well. Would highly recommend the food in Coffee 1.

Decided to pop in for a quick snack over lunchtime whilst in Yeovil.Luckily it was out of the normal lunchtime rush hour so we didn't have to wait too long to be served.Good selection of sandwiches and paninis though some had been sold out (sign of a popular cafe perhaps?).Staff cheerful and helpful and sensible pricing.I notice Costa is opening a cafe next door but one. I hope Coffee#1 maintains its competitiveness

Nice local pub, with a friendly atmosphere. Pub very clean and easily accessible. Jodie/Tracey hit the spot with a lovely Sunday Lunch presented beautifully……great hospitality. Enjoyed chilling over a pint of Guinness and a few baby Guinness chasers.

After owing thousands of pounds in rent to my very patient dad who gave him multiple chances, the owner of Riverside Cafe Ilminster, Ethan Parker was rightly asked to leave the premises. This is how he left the building, still owing thousands. He’s moving his “business” to Axminster very soon under a new name. If you happen to be a landlord in that area then do be aware. Do not trust this extremely immature boy.

We have eaten here 3 times now and each time it has been good. The roast dinners are very good - not worth cooking your own when you have the George in your doorstep. Nice vibrant atmosphere too

Can I just say my experience at the bull is always pleasant unless the owner Lucy is there she is rude. & shouldn't be running a pub. Me and my family were at a table having a laugh and a drunk she come over and told us to shutup we were being to loud the juke box was louder than us we could hardly hear our conversations. I mentioned it to someone who was working behind the bar & a few of them said she's always rude to people and to them.. Not the sort of person to run a pub if you ask me sorry!
