Amazing experience at Coffee 1, the two girls serving me were the nicest servers I’ve ever had at a coffee place! Super positive attitude and the drinks were super yummy.

The best coffee shop in Nailsea by a country mile. Well laid out and very helpful staff that are a credit to the coffee chain. All together a very good and relaxing couple of hours.

Great coffee as always in Coffee 1 shops. Lovely location with big glass windows to people watch from.

In the past I have written how poor it was here, so today I was delighted to find it clean, tidy and good coffee, served by pleasant staff. So lovely and made us want to come back again in the future. So nice to have clean tables & floors, well done, thank you ☺️

Only came here for a coffee but had a cake too, especially as there was a choice for vegan options ( thank you). It was late Sunday and there was a touch of closing soon about it yet the 2 Team members were lovely and helpful re local advice I needed as a visitor. One of the better examples of this Brand

Rude rude rude. Nobody picks up the phone for me to discuss this matter. I complain about a drink I had got it was just like froth cold water. The server told me to go somewhere else then started to talk about me. Sticking her tongue out till I left. One staff was so nice and told the other server to stop shouting and cursing at me. I did ask to speak to a manager but they wasn’t In shift till Sunday or Tuesday. I have tried to call but nobody picks the phone up.

Coffee and cake was excellent, the service was good too.

Nice coffees and food but the service is ridiculously slow. A huge line of customers waiting and only one doing the coffees etc whilst the other is chatting and laughing with his colleagues doing nothing.

Decent coffee, weird customer service experience on multiple occasions and they still haven't fixed the multiple leaks. Do yourself a favour and go to the much better coffee corner (for better coffee) or Costa coffee (if you want to sit down).

Very sad really but Coffee 1 in Nailsea really isn’t getting there & in my opinion will struggle if other competition opens in Nailsea, Today we went for coffee, tables not cleared, floor dirty & quite a wait to be served as only two staff working, They were doing their best but sadly a very hot coffee wasn’t!! A cappuccino luke warm, had to ask for a spoon, tray was dripping wet. We keep giving them a chance but….

Morning coffee with a friend, yes it was busy but...! Sour faced staff who literally ordered me where to stand (even pointed), tutted & rolled eyes. Two female members of staff serving, neither showed the slightest hint of any interest, professionalism or customer service. In all fairness the coffee was quite good but I won't be going there again.

Went in to this coffee shop today with high hopes! Was greeted by a shop with only two staff and huge queues! The two staff members one called Jen I think and the other I’m not sure but was blond with a ponytail. They were absolutely rushed off their feet trying to do all the jobs, getting grief from all angles! (Not warranted) In my opinion when I got to the counter and the blond lady gave me a small smile I could see she was trying so hard to be positive in a bad situation! But she was very kind and polite and said sorry about the lines but it’s due to staff shortage! This shop needs more staff to make it a more pleasant experience for customers and the staff! Coffee was great! Food was great and well done to those two ladies!

Visited coffee 1 in nailsea today with my family, and the lovely April served us! She was very kind and attentive, made sure we had everything we needed. The peanut butter mocha was lush! Excellent service, delicious coffee and a real hub of an atmosphere, couldn't ask for more. We will be back!

I ordered a frappe on Friday 2nd Jan. I received it and it had curdled I took it back to the server who served me. She gave me a filthy look and said do I want something else? I politely said I would have a late instead and that I’ve never had a frappe like that it was just water and milk. The server said that normal from there I said well I normally go to Costa she rudely said we’re not Costa. I walked away to the stand where the condiments were. As I was going to walk to my seat the server was discussing me with a fellow workmate as it happens the workmate stuck up for me and asked her to step away. Into the kitchen part. As I was telling the other worker what was going on the server told me to go away and shut up. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. Coffee 1 need to have a word with their staff about customer service.

Went today 27th January 2024 at 11.25am not enough staff and staff on till / serving not at all happy, service awful. Suggest everyone goes to weston super mare branch, much happier staff and service 200 time better. A real shame much prefer coffee 1 to others.

We visit Coffee 1 in Nailsea often but I do feel sad for the staff with the amount of moaning they put up with from customers! Sadly of late, the oven hasn’t been working,the dishwasher is broken and there is a ceiling leak! A lot to contend with? It’s not the staff’s fault but management need to get things sorted as lots of Nailsea people will go elsewhere, a lot to choose from in Nailsea! Our coffee or tea is usually lovely but not so keen on take away cups which are often used since the dishwasher problem. We love coffee 1 but don’t always use because there’s always a problem! Staff are always kind & welcoming thank you

The coffee is 4/10, used to be much better, the atmosphere is nice but buckets collecting brown water in the middle of the room didn't help:)

I k ow they have been struggling to get staff but … you cannot be so rude and offer such poor service. I hope it improves as i quite liked it. The manager just told me ‘costa is down the road’ yes it is and thats where i am. Not good enough

Service is very slow and tables needed clearing . Cakes were OK but nothing special.

We have visited Coffee 1 in Nailsea quite a few times since it opened. The staff are always lovely & helpful. The coffee, tea good(although no lemon tea?) We have eaten here recently with our grandchildren, nice choice of snack lunch food and served hot, great friendly service. Sadly each time we’ve visited, either as a couple or family, tables are so very slow to be cleared and cleaned from the previous customer. So much so I asked for a cloth on one occasion but given a serviette to do it! It does make us less keen to use as it can look grubby, which is such a shame as we like the atmosphere, coffee & food. Maybe you could look at this constructive criticism and improve please? Thanks

I’ve just seen some recent negative reviews about the space. I thought I’d give it a go myself when I got there I was greeted by very smiley happy female staff member who seemed more than happy to help and serve me, I was especially surprised by the free little broken biscuits offered by the staff serving me while I waited, This was a yummy little extra today! I had a gorgeous flat white made with the smooth the roast of coffee, I think it was called and this was paired with a beautiful cinnamon bun and it was slightly warmed with the recommendations from the staff. The store itself is stunning and the locals need to be more accepting in my opinion. Nailsea I will be back !

I cannot believe the rudeness of the staff, I was ignored, the service was slow. They were more interested in chatting than serving customers. Absolutely horrible experience.

I made the mistake of having an iced Mocha where you get about 20ml of coffee in cardboard cup of ice, which one can't drink. I'll remember to have a hot drink in the future as they have always been good.

I ordered the so advertised iced pistachio latte. Was so disappointed as it was nothing else than a syrup with normal latte. Looked so different to the advertisement. No decoration etc. Not worth the money.

Toilet filthy also the cutlery. The dishwasher needed salt in it.

Very slow service. Dogs not in the allocated area. Bad wifi could not bring up my coffee1 app Had to repeat my order as the guy did not understand what i said Tables not cleared quickly. Drink cold, went back and ask to warm it up , they just topped it up from the original jug. Don't go there anymore go to Costa now,,, much better service and NO DOGS !!!!!!!!!

1st visit, good cheery customer service. Coffees excellent. Comfy chairs, atmosphere pleasant added bonus of guitarist singer outside. Will visit shortly

I love Coffee #1, but this one is pretty bad. It is usually filthy inside and the staff are extremely slow. No sense of urgency, particularly when it is busy. I don’t understand, how in a coffee shop, when it is busy and there are 4 members of staff how only one of them is making coffee. Isn’t that the point of a coffee shop, to serve people coffee? More often than not they serve the coffee far too hot. The only thing going for it is that it is better than the awful Costa on the same square. That Costa is gross.

Tea leaves instead of a bag 👍, lovely cheesecake. I'm not a coffee drinker but I was told it could be better, more flavour, sorry Costa make a better Americano, but I'm sure that could be fixed. Ambiance could be improved with something to deaden the noise level, because you stop for a coffee for a catch up, maybe some blinds on the windows. Otherwise great, would recommend!

This is supposed to be a latte. No taste, flat as a pancake, and looks more like tea. The second one they made was not much better

One of the coffee#1 branches with best views I have seen. Massive windows allowing plenty of natural light inside. Hot chocolate should have a bit more chocolate because it tasted almost like hot milk. Overall it is a good place for a drink with friends because it is quiet and it has many sofas to seat on.

Nice coffee#1. Place really nice with amazong views of the centre and the park. There are a lot of sofas with super big windows that provide good light. The hot chocolate that we ordered was good but didn't taste a lot of chocolate just milk. The staff was eficient and we didn't wait a lot for them to be prepared.

Been a few times now and coffee is OK. However, the state of the place today was awful. Dirty tables and the floor was covered in a mixture of dust, dog hair and crumbs. This was not today's dirt either, clearly hasn't been cleaned in a while. The fact there are already bad reviews about cleanliness and nothing has changed makes it even worse. Deserves the 1 star I'm afraid.

For a chain coffee place, I'd say it's the best one out there. Good coffee, good price, good service.

I’m in there now and, as the previous poster said, the tables are covered with dirties and there’s a long queue to be served. I’m only an occasional visitor to my old home town now and it’s depressing to see this place lauded as some sort of prized opening. It’s also marketed as a ‘local chain’ yet the very average food offering is from Caffè Nero - explain that please.

Despite this coffee shop being relatively new, the staff are disappointing. The standard of service is dismal and immensely slow despite arguably having plenty of time for staff to have the opportunity of dealing with the influx of customers. Today a member of staff made a highly inappropriate and frankly racial comment surrounding a black coffee. Disappointing for such a coffee shop.

I want to start by saying I quite like this place and the people that work there, however almost every time I have been here there are cups and dishes on most of the tables and have had to ask a staff to clear and wipe down a table so I could sit. The thing is, I don’t think this is due to the staff not knowing it needs to be done, there just aren’t enough of them to keep up with it. My understanding is this is a new location and this may be part of the initial growing pains, so I am hoping they will be able to get some more staff in there so they can really show off this new neighbourhood hangout. Their products are good, i enjoy their lattes, and this place could be really great if management gives the staff what they need to do their jobs properly.

Probably the worst flat white coffee in Nailsea, tasted bitter and burnt. Tried it as they're new in town, I'm going back to Coffee Corner.

Too noisy as they’ve not used sound proofing on the ceiling, so noise echos. Tables always full of used cups and plates, not enough staff to clear away, poorly managed. Not consistent with sizing of Frappe glasses. The black plates and cups always look smeary, dirty. Some staff are so miserable, a smile costs nothing, and for the price you pay for all this a free smile would be good. Quite let down by this store and it needs the main bosses in to sort it out. Don’t insult the people of Nailsea with rubbish and service without a smile!
