We wanted to experience everything that the volunteer-run railway had. We were pleased with the restaurant at Winchcombe, one of the stations on the railway line. I chose a coronation chicken roll, which was full to the brim with small chunks of chicken in a delicious sauce. I said 'full to the brim' but none of it squeezed out onto my hands. I loved it. The tea was freshly made. The staff (not 'staff') volunteers were friendly and informative. We liked their waistcoats too!

We visited here today with our family who are visiting us here in Winchcombe. We thought this looked nice for some tea and cake however the lady was very abrupt and rude and did not appear to want to be there the cake also tasted very dry would not revisit.

If your looking for yet another coffee chain serving overpriced frothy milk then this is probably not for you. However if you enjoy your sandwiches freshly made, a moist slice of homemade Victoria or coffee & walnut sponge or even a toasted tea cake then this will delight you. Sorry no fancy breads or overly complicated filling here, but our family regularly pop in for the joy of simple food, made with care presented with a few crisps and a little salad on the side. To this add the atmosphere of a small country station with trains chuffing in and out and what better way to pass an hour. The staff are always polite, maybe not the quickest at calculating the price but as the children are occupied in the model railway we’re in no rush. Look out for the cosy on the tea pot or treat yourself to local beer, cool cider or a little pot of ice cream on a warm day. As we call in regularly, even when we are not on a train this is the experience over a number of visits across the year.

This small cafe on the platform really has a feeling of old times with quite a few items on display to view. The staff are brilliant just a pity the quality of the coffee and food does not match. Needs some investment to bring this up to modern day standards of food and drink whilst retaining the old world charm.

Een theepot met een warmhoudmuts erover heen. Wie kent ze nog! En ook nog te koop. Prima gebak en je zit op het perron van de antieke trein. Echt een leuk uitje.

Winchcombe station has been wonderfully restored and we enjoyed sitting at a table, on the platform, having a light lunch of sandwiches and cake (indoor seating is also available). Whilst we were there we saw the diesel and the stream train arrive and leave (this was well worth doing) as most of line is single track you also get to see the single line key handover taking place. The food we ordered arrived very quickly – nothing too posh here, but nice food and drinks served quickly by friendly and polite staff. One thing we really liked was the knitted cosy on the tea pot (how very English!).

Excellent coffee, cakes and lite bites served by the smart, friendly and efficient staff. The decor suggests very well a 1950's style station tea room with tables both inside and under the platform canopy. A great place to spend a little time whilst waiting for the next train.

We stop at this café when we travel on the GWR and it is a lovely café. The staff are always friendly and willing to help. Looking forward to stopping at this café when the railway opens again in the spring.

Please don't visit this on a busy day at the train station! We went as a family on the Thomas the tank day. I'm assuming the staff were volunteers for the day most of which were lovely. But one lady was very rude and unhelpful! The whole set up was a shambles and no coordination involved! People book these tickets in advance so I would assume they know how's by people to experience!

We had a simple lunch here while riding the vintage railway. Although the menu is very simple, we all thoroughly enjoyed the delicious fresh sandwiches, freshly made to order. In these days of factory-produced, too-chilly sandwiches it was very refreshing and a real treat to have these made just for us. With a pot of tea, it really completed the feeling of being taken back to a less-hurried time gone by. The service was very friendly and we did not have to wait any time at all for our order to appear. Had the weather been better, we would have enjoyed sitting at one of the tables on the platform and watching the trains go by. The vintage uniform complete with frilly head piece worn by the lady serving was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend this over the other cafe on the railway if you only wish to have a light sandwich lunch. The cakes looked very nice too. Another bonus is that all proceeds from the Coffepot Cafe go to help support the work of the Gloucestershire-Warwickshire Vintage Railway. Would definitely return and bring our visitors!

Visiting the GWR, it is very pleasant to visit the Coffee Pot Cafe on Winchcombe station. Good service for hot and cold drinks, plus freshly made sandwiches,,home made cakes. The cafe is styled in the 50's, so nostalgic, with steam trains coming through.

Real old fashioned charm 1950's themed tea rooms. Lots of nostalgic bits and pieces to look at which brought back memories for my parents and a few for me! Fabulous home made cakes and tea served in a proper tea pot with a cosy. The fact that you can watch the steam trains come and go even if you are not traveling just adds to the atmosphere. Nice fresh made sandwiches and toasted tea cakes but no hot food. I know we will be calling again.

Superb traditional pub serving excellent food, excellent beer, excellent service, excellent value. Would thoroughly recommend this pub. Please note it is very popular especially on a Sunday so you really must book in advance.
