Coffee Planet in Cardiff

The quality of the coffee became better and they serve V60 now. Guys in the shop are really good. The only issue there is the shop is always smells like something moldy or musty. This makes the place not nice.

I can’t recommend this place highly enough and the main highlight for me was how friendly and welcoming the staff are. They really brighten up your day and to top it off they will make you the best coffee you’ve ever had.

Nice location and staff. Good service. However did not like latte coffee - very sweet taste!

Look forward to dropping in whilst working un Cardiff three or four days a week. Lovely coffee, good sandwiches and cakes, and excellent staff. Jaz is a ray of sunshine and can surely cheer up the lowest person!

Best Cafe in Cardiff, great customer service from Jaz and Lolly, amazing atmosphere, spend all of my time here.

I went there to work ay 5:30 pm because they closed at 7 pm so i had enough time. I asked for a frappe and she told me they weren’t making those. I then asked for a caramel latte, she prepared it whilst using her phone and she gave me a normal latte. Then 30 minutes after she told me I had to leave because she was gonna close at 6 pm because there weren’t enough customers. Terrible experience, wouldn’t recommend.

Honestly, reading previous reviews made me excited to come to this place. But the atmosphere was sad and I didn't feel welcome at all. Just going to stick to other places on Queen St.

Bought some lemon drizzle cake lunch time today, it had obviously been left out as the cake on one side was hard and inedible and unable to find a lemon taste at all in the cake, so disappointed.

A very relaxed feel about this place. Lovely coffee and excellent service. They even found a plug to charge my daughter's iPhone (the one with the massive charger). A great place to meet up, or do some work. Friendly and helpful staff put the icing on the cake. Well done, highly recommend.

Great place to stay while studying they put on a few parties and events handing out free drinks and sometimes food among other things. Was an issue with water pressure for a while when staying for first few weeks or so but got fixed eventually.

A nice little coffee shop. Wonderful coffee. Staff were pleasant. Disabled adapted bathroom, though there is a lip at the front door that may make access a little tricky for those with mobility issues. Really nice vibe in the coffee shop. Wifi was unreliable.

Great service, great staff and great coffee. The prices are good too and they have nice discounts for students which my partner appreciated. The atmosphere is also really good for working, when I get bored at home I just pop by with my laptop and get work done. Good Internet connection and comfortable chairs!

The team was concerned to keep the clients’ needs, such as dietary restrictions, in mind, checking and rechecking. They worked in conjunction with each other, professional and good humoured. The coffee and croissants were good also.

К сожалению, вынуждена писать негативный отзыв. Купила кофе в пачке и попросила смолоть под фильтр . Дома обнаружила что помол для фильтра не подходит, этот помол под чашку , в лучшем случае под эспрессо. Я думаю, что люди, которые для продажи выбирают упаковки с кофе где указан сорт, способ обработки и высота произрастания , должны понимать важность помола для способа заварки и обучать этому свой персонал. Фото прилагаю . Две звезды ставлю за неплохо приготовленный латте.

Pleasant coffee shop with a good range of snacks and hot drinks. Efficient staff and clean toilets.

I got a sticky toffee frappe and finished it in 10 seconds. It was that good. I was so disappointed because I wanted it to last for the hour that I was there. Straight up inhaled it like a vacuum. It's also a very nice relaxed place with great studying ambience. And it's quiet.

I ordered a frappe, they did not crush the ice, I asked them to crush it, they half crushed it, I asked for caramel over the cream, they did not put. I did not like it.

From someone who's worked in cafes and bars for a good few years. This place not only has amazing prices, but does the most delicious drinks! This is the only coffee shop I've found in Cardiff who make iced lattes amazingly. The staff were awesome, I wish they were able to take card tips. I highly recommend for a chill experience.

Hot food, friendly staff, comfy space. What more could you want! I got the chicken fajita wrap, they toasted it and it was very crispy. The toffe iced frappe was very sweet, I really like the whipped cream. And the soup came with a toasted bun and Welsh butter! Was a nice surprise. Nice place to pop in for a treat. Would recommend.

I try to pop in here anytime I fancy a coffee. Good range, decent prices and cozy seating area. Staff have always been lovely and a bit of fun. It may seem a tad outisde town but I promise you, it's a cute and safe space.

Discovered this gem of a coffee shop on way to a meeting. Only had a takeaway, but blend of their coffee was great. Much better than some of big chains. Also go for a biscoff blondie

Slow (despite being quiet). Could have got the flight to Brazil and grown the coffee myself in the time it took. Staff nice. Coffee bang average.

Their cherry bakewell latte is amazing! You can get iced too and with alternate milks as well :) Definitely recommend!

Very clean and quiet. A perfect place to watch the crowds walk by, read a book or catch up on some work. The coffee isn't excellent but everything else is perfect!

Nice food, better ambience than I was expecting considering it's position - and most importantly, great coffee!

Plus: the place smells heavenly and the staff are really friendly, the tables are clean and chairs comfortable. Minus: I chose hot chocolate with syrup and whipped cream, and that was an absolute sugar overload, would have been much better if the cream was unsweetened. But overall a very pleasant place to spend a moment in. I think there were people trying to work there from their laptops too so I suppose you could consider this to spice up your home working routine.

Just popped in for a little chat with my friends over coffee. Really lovely, vibrant atmosphere. Not too loud and the music is quite upbeat. Open to 7pm which is amazing for a coffee shop. Barista was lovely and opted to bring my drink over (iced caramel latte). I thoroughly appreciate this amenity because it makes the customer feel more welcome and relaxed. Would absolutely recommend :)

Excellent experience, varied selection of drinks and food. The Panini's are incredible. Good value for money and ideally located.

Their delicious and warming mocha was such a nice respite from the cold wind. This shop also sets aside nicely packed coffee grounds for your plants for the taking.

This place is a little gem, the staff are always friendly and helpful. The coffee is fab. Handy as is just around the corner from my work. I don’t need to ask for my order, they know what I have as soon as I walk in. Only a small place but it’s clean, handy and worth popping in for a cuppa. Also the cakes always look good.

Wonderful place to relax with a coffee and a bite to eat. Staff are always very friendly and it's usually very cosy. The only downside is at peak times (usually around midday) it can be very crowded and difficult to get a seat, but I guess that's just a reflection of how well liked it is.

Sometimes this place is OK but recently rubbish! Lukewarm warm coffee sometimeshop give u a latte or milky coffee instead of a flat white! Friendly staff but shame about the coffee

baristas are dam good at what they do and they love to know about your choice and they are ready to alter your coffee for you. A must visit place in Cardiff.

Very good customer service, as soon as I came through the door both the man and woman serving were very considerate and polite. The coffee was hot and the atmosphere relaxed. Best cafe experience in a longtime. Also the lady was very beautiful in physical attractiveness, and in her attitude, a rare combination, in this entitled generation, I'm an old fashioned guy this place definitely hit the mark.

This is what you call coffee 👌 and its closes at 12 midnight in Thursday and Friday so if you have work to do this is the place👍

Only stopped for a few drinks and some Welsh cakes, nice atmosphere, friendly staff and everyone enjoyed there drinks. My partner liked the latte. The Medium size was a good amount for the money. Welsh cakes were tasty.

+ Good coffee. Good range of options (espresso and I think they do filter). They've a special origin of the month espresso coffee too. - Food is pre-packaged and pretty basic. So much plastic (sachets of ketchup etc). Staff were arguing about working hours quite loudly. Certainly loudly than the quiet music of Jason Mraz playing in the background.

Opend a year ago , nice location for Cardiff university students, have diffrent kind of seating good for homework with laptops or books, they offer free water with lemon flavours. And they have self coffee machine. I like the Spanish latte its sweet and test very good. Five or more of cake options and lots of coffee options too.

Lovely coffee, friendly and helpful staff, clean and tidy shop. Would not hesitate to visit again! I enjoyed my festive creme brulee very much, it was the nicest coffee i have had in a long time! We also had a mint hot chocolate, which was nice and minty, and was served perfectly. The staff came to ensure the drinks were okay, which is a nice touch. A lovely little shop that is tucked away from the busy streets of Cardiff, but a proper little gem!
