An okay local eatery, but not special enough to be worth a detour. The toastie was ok, but the bread was average- I appreciate a nice thick piece of sourdough with my mozzarella and persto. Parking nearby is easy, but not directly outside. There are a few seats outside which was appreciated.

Nice place unfortunately as far as an English breakfast goes really needs a lot of work. three stars on that is quite generous. I wouldn’t stop her again, but I do hope they find out how to upgrade the English breakfast. after all, it’s not rocket science, it should be crispy fried. Perhaps it’s microwaved I don’t know. Otherwise lovely place. Best of luck

We've just moved to the area and popped in for lunch whilst waiting to collect keys to the house. The staff were friendly, and the food tasted great. I had a bacon and egg sandwich, which I really enjoyed and everything felt fresh. The only thing I would say is the poached egg could have done with a little more time. I was told they don't fry anything as typically you have a fried egg with a bacon sandwich. I wonder why you don't fry? Is it a health choice thing, or an issue with ventilation? I will definitely come back, but would advise offering fried eggs. I like poached eggs, but not on a sandwich and I find poaching doesn't leave much room for error between setting the white and overcooking the yolk.

After months of I’ve finally found out how to leave a review, AVOID this place at all cost, I’ve had thousands of breakfasts in my life and this place is definitely without a doubt the worse ever, me and 2 of the boys had what we thought would be a breakfast, turns of we had couple under cooked food floating in a puddle on our plate, I asked for well done bacon so they decided not to cook it at all, it come to almost £50 for 3 breakfast and 3 coffees, even had to pay extra for the toast! Never ever tasted anything like it I had to go to another place down the road straight after for a decent break because we could eat any of it, first and last time I step foot in there, But they do a decent coffee that was quiet nice but as for food stay the hell away!!

Lovely and friendly staff served us. Good simple tasty food just as we had requested. Very reasonable price which was refreshing to find around this area. We are only staying on holiday for a few days but hope to call back soon.

If your looking to pay £3.50 for half a cup of decent coffee then this is the place for you, however the food was absolutely shambolic, I have eaten better food from a moody fridge inside a corner shop the poached eggs looked like jelly and I could still hear the bacon oinking at me however I may have been in shock from the fact that the only thing that was relatively warm on the plate was the burnt hash brown I’m sure I chipped a tooth on. This used to be a fantastic cafe with great breakfast however now it is an over priced coffee shop who should definitely stop serving food as I had concern for my 3 year olds health who I’m sure could whip up a better breakfast on their own.

Great location, nice cafe but the quality of the coffee and the food is poor. The coffee tastes as if it’s cheap, low grade coffee beans and you could order a flat white or a cappuccino and essentially receive the same coffee. The food is basic and the ingredients aren’t a great quality, it’s a real shame that they don’t champion local producers and local farms to provide their eggs, sausages or bacon.

Waited 10 minutes to get served. Was ignored by staff, except to be asked to move so other people could pay.

Left motorway (M40) at Junction 5, 2 mins down the riad is this level coffee shop. So much nicer than motorway services. Great coffee, nice cakes, and hot food.

We wanted to buy coffee, but both coffee vending machines ( a disappointment itself) were not working. Thank God we could cross the roads and get coffee from a Starbucks, which is another dissapointment

Lovely coffee & friendly staff. Bacon, Brie & Cranberry Panini is a favourite of mine along with the great selection of homemade cakes! We love visiting and it’s always very clean.

Always a lovely visit to the quaint little café. The drinks are lovely, staff are polite and the cakes are scrumptious. They cater for Gluten Free and Vegans. Truly is an all-rounder for food and beverages.

A lovely little place, but the drinks took forever! The staff were very lovely but spent so long laughing a joking with customers that 2 peoples coffees were forgotten and mine took over 20 minutes, this meant we had no time to drink them and they were left. A real shame, I can’t fault the friendliness but it might be worth balancing it out with delivering what they are charging for. Can’t comment on the quality of coffee as I didn’t get to take a sip!

So called in today (1st time) and asked for a nice white coffee, It might take a while but "I'll be back"

Easy parking, very close to motorway but a lovely setting. Little parade of shops. Nice staff. Decent coffee, free wifi and food was good value for money. Afternoon tea’s look decent too. Would recommend for a pit stop

One of the best coffee shops around. Sitting inside and outside and they cater for all allergies. Lovely cakes vegan, gluten free or dairy free. And they also offer different milks.

Friendly helpful staff, nice decoration and seating areas. Had one of their sausage and bacon baguettes. Have to say I was disappointed with the portion size and the very cheap poor quality sausages inside. The coffee was ok, not very strong though unfortunately. For £8 I would expect a bit more. When a blind customer asks for prices read to them the law says your staff need a very good reason not to comply. Still haven't heard that good reason.

Normally very good, good quality and hot plates and hot food. Today menu change the Big One has gone which was double everything with coffee, so had to settle for Full English one of everything plus coffee for same price. Which makes it expensive. However the main issue for me was cold sausage (rest was hot) and cold plate, which means by the time you are half way through everything is cold and congealed. The quality is the same so that's a plus. Apparently the reason for the menu and price change is everything now reflects prices with VAT. But why has the Big One disappeared from the menu? VAT would make it around £11. Bring it back!

Stopped off on our way up the M40 in Stokenchurch and had an excellent breakfast (for just £6) at the Back Street Cafe. Saw it on Google Maps while looking for somewhere to eat. The coffee was good too. This will not be the last time we call in on our way north. Try it, it's definitely worth it and only a few minute from Junction 5.

Love this place. The food is great and the staff are so friendly. They have book inside and outside seating. The prices are reasonable and they have a wide selection from full English to beans on toast. The coffee is good too. Highly recommend.

It’s okay, hygiene in this place should be much better. Staff are using till, making coffee and touching sandwitches in same time without hand hygiene or gloves. Chair and floor look also dirty. But defenetely better option for quick food in Stokenchurch thank Tesco or Shell garage. Food is nice and fresh but it depends who’s preparing it.

The staff are so friendly, helpful, quick with service and committed to making yummy food. They even stopped serving a type of fish that didn't meet the standards they thought customers deserved which I thought was great. Only thing is it's a tiny bit overpriced for cakes and smaller items. However hot meals are definitely worth every penny :)

Wow what a little gem of a place, I had been driving through the countryside looking for a place to eat. I did not fancy another trip to McDonald's. I have seen this place a few times, and finding it was open I turned round and pulled in. I wish I had taken a picture of the breakfast I had chosen. I am one that eats with my eyes first. If it looks good enough to eat I would enjoy it more than a big mess on a plate, It looked like it was made for a billboard. I continued to enjoy it more because it was fresh and hot, which is something else that is lacking these days. They are friendly, helpful and care about what they dish up, It is not cheap bacon or sausages either. I will be coming back again without a doubt. The only little criticism I have, which is not aimed at them in the slightest. This is the parking, it is street parking only available and is often full due to the printing shop and corner shop in the same area. They deliver too, but only in a 3mile radius.
