So I booked afternoon tea. 1 week in advance for some family birthdays. I could not book for children so was told I could have an extra scone as we wouldn't be having the drink and the children could share the adult one. Fine. So visited today. Called this morning to see if it was ok to add my husband as he had got off work early yesterday was the answer that would be a straight forward change. I went in and bought the children's drinks then we waited for our food. 4 afternoon teas arrived I asked where the extra scone and additional afternoon tea were and the lady said I don't know about this I'll go and speak with my manager. Manager came to table surprised there was a problem so I explained again and she agreed we could have another scone and another afternoon tea. By this the me we had eaten all but the cakes and another lady came out with some sandwiches and cakes and said well I'm sorry but there were no more scones so we have put some extra cakes on. And we need 24 hours notice anyway. I'm sorry so you are parking that right back with us don't say it's fine and charge us the full amount after all we for the 15 pounds we didn't have the coffee or a scone and we also didn't like the majority of the cakes very dry! You might thinks this ends here but no. I went in to pay and the lady asks me to pay for the extra scone! Basically if you go here you will be charged a very high price for poor food and extremely poor service. And if you complain they will talk about you in the kitchen. Very professional. We won't be going again Save your money

Had jacket potato with chicken bacon pesto £8.99, not a lot of it, bacon cut up small and dry same with chicken , pesto sauce just squerted a little on the top, jacked quite small. Only lettuce leaves with it which were going brown, did not eat. Totally over priced for what it was, Would not go back again.

Stopped for coffee and cake whilst we were having a look around the garden centre. Lots of young staff working hard as they were overwhelmed with customers. Heard food orders were at least 30 min wait as customer ahead of ordered from menu. Beloved had sticky chocolate orange cake which he said was very nice. His cappuccino and my Americano were weak. Had better in Wetherspoons with their Lavazza coffee. My dairy free pecan tart was satisfactory. Most disappointed that the outside seating area is surfaced with the environmentally disastrous artificial grass, effectively endorsing it as a suitable product. The irony being, as a café, plastic straws are banned. Shan't use it again.

this is the food bit of the garden centre. the outside seating has been much expanded with a marquee and outside seating. it used to be a little cafe under the previous wyevale ownership. sadly the little kitchen easily gets overwhelmed and a 30-40min wait can ensue for something cooked. the cooked breakfast is £7.50 and its ok, nothing special . you collect your drinks first and pay then wait for food to come out. they drop the food and run back in without saying anything as they are running to catch up. if its busy. i heard several complaints . if i buy more plants next time and fancy a coffee i would just buy something that can be put on a plate straight away. it is quite a popular venue and ok for simple food . plenty of parking, dogs allowed, some plants healthily discounted. staff are fine

Consistently brilliant pizza delivered in a timely manner and polite delivery staff! The half and half pizza is a game changer. Cookies are to die for and garlic bread is great but the sides are considerably expensive considering the price of pizza in comparison. I’d personally give the wedges a miss.

Always good here for a takeaway. We've been rather a lot in the last 7 years or so of living in the area. We usually have the same thing, (Set meal for 2(B) ), always well cooked & nice & excellent value....& usually enough to have some for lunch next day lol! We have compared with others in the area, though for us, New China is the best of them. Xx

Ordered on the app for collection. Received my order promptly as there was no queue but the drinks themselves were very disappointing. Ordered a gingerbread latte with oak milk which tasted very watery and can barely taste gingerbread. Also ordered a cortado that arrived in a flat white sized cup full to the brim. Also did not not taste very nice, watery, not nice.
