Had a spot of late lunch here. Lovely selection of items on the menu. Opted for avo on toast with pesto and it was really tasty and fairly priced. Coffee is from Bean Brothers and again, Coffeevolution has a good selection of beans to take home as well as a guest + house option for a brew in-store. If that's not your thing, there is a counter full of sweet treats and bakes. Whether you are after a brew, quick lunch or a tasty snack, you can't go wrong here.

I have dropped by for amazing hot chocolate but stayed for breakfast too. I have tried the maple French toast with bacon which was divine. Much better than expect and not too sweet. It was also very filling. I have also tried an orange hot chocolate for the first time and it was also delicious. The staff are really friendly and helpful which made my time here even more enjoyable. Also for the first time, I have tried sitting downstairs which feels cozy and like a perfect spot for spending time together with friends or do some work/studying.

Service here has gone downhill, walked into today, not busy - two guys on the til, not one acknowledgement! Bring back the old staff, students have no idea of Custer service.

Really disappointing based on reading other reviews. The person taking the order was a poor communicator, firstly told us they didn't have the French toast but the other guy checked and they did. She left us stood in limbo without telling us he had gone to check. Then, they had no pecan nuts to top the French toast. The French toast was on their specials menu but they were scrabbling around to find accompaniments and it wasn't cheap. It's really quite dated and dirty inside, not sure how they have so many positive reviews to be honest. The guy tried his best to provide something but it was cold and really rather poor for the money.

We went for a quick lunch However after waiting 40.minutes we asked about our food order- which was a quick egg dish and they had completely forgot about it. I don't know how this can happen when you pay when you order and it goes through the till. I couldn't wait any longer as had to go back to work so left without eating. They did offer to refund my bill, but just noticed this was for food only. I think it would be fair to not charge for a drink for such inconvenience. I won't be returning

Busy, friendly and most important: REALLY good coffee. Informal to the point of being borderline tatty (but not sacrificing hygiene) Free newspapers to read.

Excellent coffee 99 percent of the time. Food is ok, bread sometimes way to thick, just abit more finess with the bread and ingrediants.

Undoubtedly the best coffee place in Huddersfield. Friendly staffs, atmosphere and the spot on coffee stood them out than everyone.

I had a fantastic club sandwich with a large mocca to wash it down with. Food was great and the drink was hot and very tasty. I go there more often now and only had just one slightly negative experience with a server that seemed to be on another planet. Plus, you can buy Bean Bros. coffee to take home. They will even grind the beans for you!

Definitely my favourite place to get coffee in Huddersfield town centre, great coffee and friendly staff.The only advice I’d give is to lower the level of the music a little bit downstairs and seats could be a bit comfier.

visited here twice on my 24 hour visit to see my son, the first visit was a flat white and slice of millionaires shortbread which had orange flavouring - soooo good 2nd visit was for brunch with a flat white, i had a toasted goats cheese and roasted veg sandwich - to die for and could have eaten it again and again

Popped here today for some breakfast whilst waiting for my train. My single shot soya flat white is one of the best I’ve had in a long time, perfect temperature and strength. The porridge I got to take away with me for my train was equally as good. Staff were really friendly and personable and the place is very atmospheric. There was a bit of a queue but they worked their way through it. Lovely little spot and one I would definitely recommend! Hope it continues to do so well. I would recommend they add matcha latte to their menu 🍵

I’ve been to this cafe a couple of times; it’s a great retreat away from the chain stores and the city. They make great coffee supplied by an independent brand, and the food is fresh homemade quality. There’s ample seating throughout; you can sit on the street or downstairs inside the cafe. If you want something cosy and unique, make sure you give them a try!

Without a shadow of doubt the best coffee in Huddersfield. Beans are of the utmost importance when in comes to great coffee. They source their own speciality beans and roast these locally. I have never had a bad cup from here. I also buy their beans for my espresso at home. They are very competitively priced. The café itself is light and airy. It's always clean and tidy with friendly staff on hand to cater to your caffeine related desires. The food is tasty and of great quality.

Terrific coffee shop in Huddersfield town centre with indoor seating at ground level and in the basement. The coffee shop has outside seating in a pedestrianised area. Great menu for panini, bagels, sandwiches, salads and cakes. I popped in for a lovely piece of fruit cake and a cappuccino.

Visited this place from reviews on here. Wasn't overly impressed with the cost of 1 tea, 1 coffee, 1 bacon on toast and avocado on toast.....£15.50!!!!!!! Not even a bacon sandwich, the bacon was on one piece of toast and had very little taste, same as the avocado on toast. Presentation was nice but portions are ridiculously small. If you are hungry I wouldn't recommend this place but it's location is nice. Depends what you are wanting, we wanted to eat and not still be hungry after it. If you just go for breakfast to have a chat and a coffee then you will probably like it, I think you pay for the quirkiness of the place rather than the food. Quite disappointing

My daughter's favourite coffee shop and pre Covid chill space which is downstairs. Coffee excellence, spoiled for choice syrups, and service to make it how you like it best. Still doing take out currently. Staff trained well and friendly. Now selling vintage trinkets also coffee wares. Try them. Never been disappointed.

The shop has great coffee and coffee house foods options. During lockdown 1 and 2 the benches outside, that are there anyway were nice to use. Great meeting place or hangout.
