Called in for lunch with my mother yesterday, there was one other customer - that should have been a warning flag. Supposedly wheelchair friendly if you're able to negotiate the door, I was really struggling but no offer of help from the waitress. Ordered a cheese and onion toastie for Mum and eventually a pepperoni pizza for myself as everything I asked for was unavailable. The toastie arrived , it was very dry and contained cold raw onion and a paltry amount of cheese. Looked like toast with a miniscule amount of filling that had been microwaved. I spoke to the owner/manager about it and was told it was full of cheese but it had soaked into the bread! I have to agree with one of the other reviewers his attitude left a lot to be desired and customer service was non existent. My pizza arrived about 10 minutes later, PLEASE DON'T ORDER ONE, it was like no pizza I have ever tasted before. It was supposed to be stone baked but should have said stone based, it was impossible to get a knife through it and not just around the edge. The topping had some peculiar white cubes mixed in with the green peppers and pepperoni which was some kind of cheese I think. Fake mozzarella is my guess as it hadn't even melted. It was gross. Cheapo frozen pizza. When we were leaving and the waitress came to clear the table I said to her about it and she just shrugged and walked off. Says it all really. Certainly wouldn't visit again felt ripped off, £15 for two cups of tea in essence. Hopefully they will be out of business soon so they can't keep mugging customers off. Check out my pictures, answers on a postcard as to what the white cubes are please.

I called for coffee with my wife and asked if they had any plant milks available. I was told that they didn't. My wife asked whether they might consider stocking any in future and was met with a hostile and negative response from the manager/owner so we left without ordering. We won't be back

Since Starvin' Jacks closed, this has become our regular weekly stop off for a great mug of coffee. Warm, friendly, quiet and relaxing .. don't let it's position next to the bus station put you off with its drop-outs, smokers and drunks outside the station doors. This is a gem and a nice calming oasis to relax in for an hour or so. Best flat white in Swansea .... full bodied, dark and very strong!! Love it!!

My wife and her sister recently went to have some food and drink. My wife had a bowl of broccoli and cheese soup. After the first few spoons it tasted very sour, so she took it back and politely explained that she couldn't eat it. The young lady did not say anything about it or offer a replacement but just stood there, so my wife asked to see the manager. The Manger's response was even worse! Instead of offering a solution, he stated that other people haven't complained. My wife said that in that case she just had spent about £6 for a cup of tea. The manager still did not offer anything else and he was not even apologetic. As far as we are concerned this was one of the most awful customer services we have ever experienced. We are certain that such behaviour would never be tolerated by employees in any other establishment. It appeared that to them their behaviour was totally acceptable and seemed to be tolerated by other customers. However we found the experience very upsetting and the rude attitude towards a genuine complaint was absolutely shocking.

Been meaning to visit this place for ages. It's adjacent to The Quadrant/bus station in Swansea. Great coffee and very reasonably priced - much better than the chain coffee place nearby! Try it and see, you won't be disappointed! Great find.

Been here twice this week, the good thing about the Coffee Bean is it's not too busy or noisy you know you will get a comfy seat.

We've visited The Coffee Bean 4 times in the last 2 weeks, what a great find! Lovely comfortable surroundings and the staff are really welcoming. We've tried the teas, coffees, soup of the day, toasted tea-cakes, Welsh cakes, jacket potatoes and according to my mother-in-law the best cheese and onion toasted sandwiches she's ever had! We've thoroughly enjoyed everything and will definitely be visiting again

My favourite pub in Swansea. Always lovely, friendly staff, serving well looked after beers. I didn't eat there but the food always looks delicious. This is one of the last remaining proper pubs in town. Use it as much as you can so that it says with us for as long as possible...

Have used this Pier cafe for over 20 years and it’s a shame it’s closed now after a fire. Used the temporary Pier cafe this morning as an alternative but won’t go there again. Food still good but absolutely shocking service from young male at the counter and waitress who was clearing the tables! Young guy at the counter was totally uninterested in our custom and coffees were served spilled into our saucers. Even worse was the young female waitress who wasn’t clearing tables and when we asked her to clean our table she rolled her eyes at us. Eventually came to clean the table after we had our food and coffee on the table and sprayed cleaning product over our plates on to the table! Add to that there was no toilet paper in the toilets! Nothing worse than poor service and having to eat off dirty tables. The management need to be made aware of these issues.
