I have recently had a full knee replacement operation and I am still finding it difficult to walk which is why I use my mobility scooter to get about. On the 27th August we decided to go to coffee 2 for lunch only to be told, in a loud and hostile manner that I wasnt allowed in the shop, he loudly proclaimed that it was his "companies policy" to not allow mobility scooters (mine is a small transportable model). I didnt make a fuss and left. When I got back home I checked the website for their Bromsgrove shop and it clearly says that access is good for wheelchairs etc - DEFINATELY NOT a disabled shop!!! As in my opinion some wheelchairs and much bigger than my scooter.

I have used Coffee 2 many times. Today my partner, who has to use a mobility scooter went in. As soon as my partner drove in, he was stopped by a member of the team and told he could not bring his scooter in. When asked why he was told "it was company policy" Coffee 2 sadly I do not think you are aware of the Equality Act 2010, where it states "you have legal responsibility that mobility scooter, wheelchair etc have equal access to your premises" As from my experience today, I will not be dining in your restaurant ever again, you have lost more than one good customer.

Stop serving food @ 3pm! Tried to order at 3.01 to be told " they turn everything off at 3pm"! This was for a sandwich and poached egg, not a roast dinner! They served the person in front of us with a toastie and salad! It says 3pm on the front of the menu - trust me, no- one reads the front of the menu. Rude staff and expensive drinks and desserts. While eating a very over priced, tiny toasted teacake, and apple pie ( tiny slice, no cream or ice cream) I saw at least 4 people come in and walk out when they were told there was no food for sale for the last hour of opening. Owner obviously running it as a hobby, and doesn't need the business.

It really upset me and ruined my already stressful day.i would advice people to visit elsewhere, even a customer was discussed how I was treated as they overheard it all.i give 1* for a very poor and insensitive approach to someone with an illness.show compassion in future!!! I went for a mocha this morning using my loyalty card to get a free drink (spent about £40 to get a free drink) upon giving the server my 2nd loyalty to get my stamp, i was told in a unhealthy way that NO YOU CAN'T HAVE A STAMP ON A FREE DRINK.. what is the cost of a coffee at cost price pennies (that's from somebody working in this industry) will i go back ??? Might have lost £40 , if 10 people have the save view that's £400 lost.. plus not counting the sausage sandwich i normally have so it could be £5 per sarnie which is £50 over 10 weeks.. it soon adds up in this economic tines.. Popped in yesterday afternoon to grab a coffee whilst waiting for an adjustment on my friend's engagement ring from the jewellers, walked in at 3.45pm bearing in mind the sign on the door says they shut at 4pm, and was told they'd shut already! Well why have the door still open when there were no existing customers left?! I said there was a sign that said they shut at 4pm but a guy was saying about the change on tier restrictions, but it would have all been take away anyway so what's the difference? If so, why not update the sign on the door? Clearly just couldn't be bothered to serve us but didn't have the balls to say!! Went to Costa a few doors up instead and had lovely coffees!!

Popped in for a breakfast on Saturday morning and were seated close to the door. Ordered two breakfasts and two teas. The tea arrived saucer was swimming in spilt tea. No milk sugar or spoons, so requested these, milk and spoon turned up asked about sugar, returned to table with one sachet. In the meantime staff were serving customers outside, trying to deliver two cups of hot beverage without a tray meant they could not open the door, hubby got up at least 5 times to open door for them. Never seen anything like it, total chaos, must be a new staff intake. Breakfast was quite good but eggs were flat as pancakes, not very fresh at all.

Dropped in for a bite at lunch time had poached eggs on toast which were cooked perfectly. The iced latte was not iced and in fact not very cold. Not sure if this is a family run cafe but they have a huge number of staff. Not sure how they turn any profit with staff outnumbering customers at the time I visited. Place also needs a bit of a clean. I'd run a cafe at this level of trade on two people downstairs and one in the kitchen and at a much busier time. Staff In need of traning and how to work at pace.

We visit the town centre most mornings for coffee and have tried most of the many coffee shops now available. Last time we came here was a long time ago and we never returned but we have noticed how busy the place has become so we decided to give it another try. I suspect it has changed hands. There is an excellent menu and comprehensive display of cakes. The prices are also very competitive. Staff were friendly and there were plenty of them, unlike some rival cafes near by. Good sized coffee cups too. We will certainly use this place more often. My only gripe is that there was a waiting time for the limited toilet.

Food is absolutely beautiful and cannot complain, however there is nothing more annoying than people clearing plates WITHOUT ASKING when other people are still eating and drinking!! - as I was the last to finish my breakfast 3 different waitresses/ waiter came over collecting items from the table before I had finished to the point where I felt like I had to stop eating to give them my plate too!! - granted it was busy but I paid for my food just as much as anyone else! And shouldn’t be made to fill like I had to rush!! My mom barely finished her coffee before her mug was taken away! What is the harm in waiting until EVERYBODY has finished!!! Makes things very uncomfortable!!!! Espesically as the waitresses barely spoke a word other than bumbling! The waiter was pleasant though. I wouldn’t mind if they were low on mugs and asked pleasantly to take them away! But it is beyond rude to clear away plates leaving one person made to feel uncomfortable eating!

I informed the staff of this issue where they just looked at me with blank faces and proceeded to stare at the half drunk tepid drink. I returned to my table and was promptly brought back my half cup of boiling hot microwaved hot chocolate... on a positive note.. this could be a great little coffee shop. the foods good and the drinks are usually ok. but the staff need to learn about customer care. maybe it's time we drink our coffee else where..

Strangely Bromsgrove has three really nice coffee houses within a hundred metres of each other but we love having breakfast here. The young staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfasts are great in that you can "build your own" so 7 items (which is a nice big breakfast) is £4.95. Their tea and coffee are great and when I asked if they had honey for my tea they offered me a choice of two! Love that attitude.

On a cold afternoon we decided to stop for lunch. Ordering was fine but the service was haphazard. Drinks arrived promptly but only one soup came out and the young man said “I’m going to get the other one now”. Our French onion soup was a very small portion with a slice of bread and butter. It was also missing the cheese crouton as described in their menu. I also found it rude of the young waitress who leaned across our table to get my finished soup bowl even though my mother was still eating hers, making her stop eating as the girl got in the way. Customer service standards are not up to scratch. I wouldn’t return as I prefer other eateries in Bromsgrove.

On this most recent visit we waited 15 mins for 2 cheese toasties. I asked at the counter and they said they were being done. Another 10 mins later I asked again and they said there had been a mix up and they would go and do now. By this time our drinks were well and truly finished. We chose a sweet chilli chicken panini , which was superb and very filling, and a ham and cheese toastie, filled with thickly sliced ham and loads of cheese. They were obviously made to a quality standard not to fit a price. Excellent value for money. We didn't try the coffee but the tea was real quality- Tea pigs rather than your average Twinings or Tetley! We would recommend it without question. I cannot understand the negative comments on here. A choice between this and a a Wetherspoons or Costa? No contest!!

Cannot understand the VERY negative comments re quality .. I was there last Tues 30 Sept, chose this one AFTER walking from top of High St to Spresso , firstly because of the modern simplicity & quality Interior design, likewise the striking signage. plain,simple,neat.. the very prompt service by delightful waitresses was exactly friendly, welcoming & polite...the Cappuccino s & cakes were excellent.. we had the Cranberry & Pumpkin seed Flapjacks..@ £1.85 although other choices were equally enticing and value for money. Probably only thing lacking was shortage of other customers at the time we were there..not that it was empty but only few others..so the overall delightful ambiance I could see was possible was depleted somewhat..However the shop was nicely relaxed, as it should be....as two age 70 retirees from business background, being regular customers of coffee shops,& small Tea rooms,we recognize good quality & service when we experience it.... both of which we met here & in the next Bromsgrove shop round the corner in SPAINS Hi Fi..

Took my son here for a toasted sandwich and a cuppa, no welcoming what so ever from the lady serving! She was far too busy talking to her colleague/boss/friend!The toastie looked very average and very very overpriced, expensive cup of tea too! There was no atmosphere in there either just felt as though u weren't wanted in there! Won't be going back will stick to Costas and the Wetherspoons

I went in for coffee and a sandwich with my friend and much to our disgust the owner was talking to his staff like somthing off the bottom of his shoe!! And he was stressing out badly not like he runs a major coffee shop brand would defiantly recommend druckers in Halesowen too!!

Been a couple of times now as prefer independent places where possible. Nice coffee at reasonable/average prices. Not eaten there but the cakes are HUGE & look lovely. Next time... Staff pleasant enough but don't engage really with the customer. No real atmosphere. Nothing terrible, all just 'ok'

If you like apple pie, you must visit Coffee 2, it is the best, most apple, apple slice I have ever tasted. There were other very tempting cakes too, Also had a really good toastie - they used really nice bread as well as good filling. Coffee was excellent too - one up on a nearby chain coffee house.

We find it hard to walk past this excellent coffee shop its the smell of wonderful coffee that gets you first. Then when you enter its dissension time cappuccino ,Latte, espresso, then should we have the slice of cake to go with it .Why not and sit in the window and watch the world go by .Give it a try we recommend ,And soon to open on Sundays.!

The coffee is good here but have had better. Unfortunately it's the kind of place U could visit over and over again and never be acknowledged by the staff...I don't rate the feel of the place at all! Only visit as it's local but wouldn't necessarily recommend!

I met a friend here for coffee, both of us choosing here over Costa because we wanted to support a non-chain coffee shop. I had to clear my own table upon arrival by clearing everything onto the next table that was also covered in used dishes - that table was later cleared by another customer and not staff. I didn't use the high chair for my baby because it was filthy.I will say that my soya latte and my friend's cup of tea was fine and she enjoyed her cookie - but I had to queue for ages to get them. The one plus is that you order at the counter and then they deliver it to your table so you don't have to wait longer still. There is no real atmosphere in there and there was a man at the table across the gangway on his laptop glaring at me and my baby when the baby (11 months old) gave a couple of excited screams when I gave him some biscuit. I wouldn't even have thought this would be a place you would go to do work on a computer given it was noisy anyway! Also, the loo had no toilet roll in. It's Costa for me next time, sod trying to shop local in this case!

Would always rather support a local company than a chain. Lovely cappuccino and cake offers. Great milkshakes for kids, spacious and friendly. Would always choose here in the town.

I use both the Bromsgrove and Halesowen Coffee2 shops and they both offer excellent food and great service. Working in Halesowen I use Coffee2 on a daily basis for my morning coffee and I also have lunch on a regular basis with my wife and we have always found the staff to be pleasant friendly and efficient. As an absolute coffee addict I find they have the best coffee in town and they are always willing to go the extra mile. I have even had the owner himself bring me a coffee to my office when I was too busy to get out. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

Last week my wife and i visited coffee2 on our visit to halesowen thinking we would get a nice coffee & cake and to take a small break...How wrong we where!! It was like a scene from faulty towers! The obnoxious man who runs it was shouting and treating hisstaff with no respect, throwing things around behind the counterbefore storming through the shop into a back room like a bull in a china shop!We felt so sorry for those poor girls hence we will not be stepping foot near there again and would advise any else to avoid it like the plague!!Our advice to those girls "Get another Job" where you are respected for thehard work you do!!!

This so called coffee shop was the worst that i have been to. The cakes were so dry you needed a glass of water just to swallow it. The owner runs around stressed and very rude in his attitude. You would think that with the amount of competition he has he would make more of an effort and stop selling stale cakes and inferior coffee

My wife I visited C&C to try out the new menu. Which is very exciting read and it took much deliberation to choose a starter and main. I opted for the Trout Tartar and Venison while my wife chose Confit Duck and Pork. The starters were superb. My Trout was amazing full of flavour and textures. I also had a sample of the duck which was cooked to perfection. Wow we thought let’s move to the mains. Once again the chefs at C&C did a fabulous job. The plates were beautifully presented and I am pleased to say there were great flavours to back it up. So hats off to all for the bravery in the menu and for delivering quality food presented in a lovely way. As a foot note a big thanks to all front of house too who were once again at their very best.
