The most miserable barwoman in Bath. As if you’re disturbing her when ordering drinks. No excuse for bad customer service.

The place is lovely, very little, bit that is past of the charm. Food can be better, at least the jacket potatoes, quick were served half raw and with a very poor garnishment.

Visited Bath for the day on a very busy Saturday. After doing river boat trip we were hungry and found this delightful little pub.( smallest pub in bath). Spoke to waiter who said there were tables upstairs. We were so lucky. Ordered scampi and chips in a basket and they were the best I had ever had and for less than £10. My friend ordered ham egg and chips and it would have fed an army. Would highly recommend and will certainly go again to a much loved city.

This pub proudly advertises as 'Bath's Smallest Pub's and it is indeed quite small. However it has all the necessary requirements for a great pub. The beer is excellent and the seating both inside and out is very comfortable. Sitting outside allows you to watch the world go by with a great drink in hand. Didn't try the food but it is available and that is for next time.

Had lunch on Sunday - beef was TERRIBLE - fatty and chewy. (A good work-out for the arms trying to cut.) The veg was ok and drinks good. My son enjoyed his scampi and chips. On our first trip to the UK we stopped in to the Coeur De Lion Pub for cider and lunch. Atmosphere is very local, and very friendly. Staff was wonderfully kind to us, very friendly, and since we ate outside brought our meal out to us as well. I hadn't tried Steak and Ale pie before, but for the next week after eating here I was chasing the same meal that I had here at the Coeur De Lion, Steak and Ale pie with garden peas. All in all between London, Bath and Brighton, I had 4 Steak and Ale pies over 10 days, and the variety offered here was simply the best. The Coeur de Lion seems to be a locals pub, if there is such a thing in Bath. Sequestered down an alley and out of the way, you'd have to either be lost, or looking for it, in order to find it. It is worth the trip, and next time we are in Bath we will visit again.

Definitely a local pub. We had a nice table outside since the inside space was tight. Ordered and paid inside, took our own drinks outside, and waited for the food. It was delivered after a while. Despite being a very picturesque and traditional place, the food leaves a lot to be desired. Following the waiter's recommendations, I ordered the famous Fish & chips. We are faced with a dish based on ultra frozen foods. The dish is expensive (£15.95) and extremely poor. There is nothing special about potatoes and peas in their taste or appearance. The fish is quite good, but it is small in quantity. I don't like to use sachet sauces, but in this case it was necessary. On the other hand, the atmosphere is very pleasant and the staff is friendly. In short, it is an expensive place with no quality food. For a pint it's fine. No more.
