Found this quaint tearoom a couple of years ago and now we always pop in for lunch when passing through the area. Consists of two lovely rooms to enjoy a good selection of food and beverages. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and in our book is always a plus (as there is nothing more displeasing than staff that don’t want to be working)! If in the area would recommend you take a break here, you will not be disappointed…..

Lovely tea rooms in a former pub, just off the A36 between Salisbury and Warminster. Plenty of room, friendly service. We ordered light lunches. Recommend for teas/coffees and food.

From the moment I called and spoke to Kevin to enquire about visiting with my large family (17 guests) for afternoon tea to celebrate my mother‘s 70th birthday, to the actual event itself, nothing was too much trouble for Kevin and his team. I felt as though the process of booking for a large party was made very easy and straightforward and I had full confidence that we would have a wonderful time. And indeed we did. I arrived to find that the restaurant area had been sectioned off and decorated with birthday banners which made it really special. I was not expecting that. The service was impeccable. We had a combination of breakfasts and afternoon tea and the food was excellent. The ladies that served us on the day were extremely friendly and attentive and they looked after us so well. We cannot fault the Codford Tearooms in anyway, and we are very much looking forward to our next visit. My mum had a birthday to remember. Thank you Kevin, Lizzie and all the ladies that served on the day.

Well what a lovely surprise this place was. Stopped for a quick snack and a coffee whilst on our way to Bath. We were greeted by the lovely Lizzy, what a lovely friendly chatty lady. Bacon sarnies, don't usually eat white bread but this was lovely, oat milk mocha and a flat white. My husband then spotted the cakes. Apparently it was the best walnut and coffee cake he's ever had. It had been very cold when we arrived but the wood burner soon warmed the place up. Will definitely visit again when we're back this way.

We stumbled across this place on our way home from Longleat, looking for breakfast. We ended up having a roast dinner each which came with a free pudding. The food was delicious and the only thing better was the excellent service. From a warm welcome to a friendly chat I’d recommend this place to anyone in the area or passing through. I feel bad for forgetting her name, the South African lady, was beyond hospitable. And the roast beef was to die for!!

Stopped for tea and scones, really good scones served with jam and cream with a lovely pot of tea. 🫖 we were there with our dog and sat in the sun trap wind sheltered rear garden/patio.

We stopped for a cup of tea and cake breaking up our journey. We were treated with a warm welcome as we arrived and explained if we took a seat to our preferred choice outside she would follow with menus. Locals outside greeted us and recommended the breakfast still being served until 12. We changed our minds to have brunch at 11 and it was the best decision we made. We continued to chat , learn about the tea room and the local area and bought cake on our way out. The carrot cake was the best I've tasted! Do NOT let this place pass you by and we will plan our routes to this part of the world via it and join the "halfway housers" that know of it!!!

Warm welcome and delicious food, our first visit, To Codford tea Rooms for Mothering Sunday and they did not disappoint . Warm welcome from the staff and nothing was too much trouble . All party members were given a complimentary glass of Prosecco, followed by a delicious roast of either Chicken or Pork , complimentary dessert of apple crumble and custard. Nothing was 2 much trouble . Tasty, hot food on traditional plates and china cups. The Cypriot coffee left a good lasting impression. Will 100% be back . Well done to the team of waitress who provided a friendly efficient service from the moment we walked in the door and left .

Oh dear. I’d read the previous good reviews and wanted to try this place out. It looked lovely from the outside, and all the signs suggested a thriving little tea room. On entering however, there was no pleasant ‘hello’, simply a voice ordering Alexa to “stop!”, and the ‘music’ immediately stopped. There were no other customers in at all, which led me to wonder whether they were actually open - but therefore no problem finding a seat! Alexa was reactivated, and the mindless music was played at rather too loud a volume. Service was prompt, (well, they certainly weren’t busy) and I ordered tea and a scone. The tea was fine, plenty of it, and served with a china cup & saucer. The scone was large, but too crumbly in texture, so it just disintegrated. Sadly it was served with margarine rather than butter, and very mediocre jam. It was reasonably priced, but still didn’t justify my 20min trip to get there.

The Codford tea rooms is a hidden gem, just off the A36 & the A303. Great place to break your journey when heading to or back to the West Country. So much more than just a tea room. We had a delicious lunch & huge home made scones (we didn't have alcohol but they do have a full licence). The portions were really substantial & reasonably priced. The service was also fantastic. Beautiful quintessential tea rooms not to be missed.

Had Sunday lunch here with our family. We went for the Roast which came with a generous amount of meat, vegetables and the most tasty gravy and yorkshire puddings. The atmosphere was great with a lovely warm fire, and really welcoming staff. The bill was really reasonable and would definitely recommend. There is a really great lunch menu with lots of delicious sounding options so will be back soon

Reading the other reviews, which are exceptionally good, I feel really disappointed that our experience was not as good. Perhaps it’s because we seemed to be the first customers of the day, but both our coffees were only lukewarm, and we both had scones & butter, where the scones were on the dry side and the butter seemed more like margarine. It was a nice place, service good with a smile, but food and drink let it down. A shame.

Our visit was planned to try out the tearooms as we are always on the lookout for great cafes that we can then recommend to friends. Our aim was for a coffee and cake and the tearooms delivered brilliantly. I had a cappuccino, which was rich and a really good coffee, and a very large slice of home cooked Victoria sponge. The cake was delicious, light sponge with a sweet buttercream and strawberry jam filling. It was wonderful. My wife had the same except her cappuccino was decaffeinated but had all the taste of the normal blend. The service was quick and friendly and the tearooms were clean and tidy with appropriate, quiet background music. This was all we had hoped for and we will certainly be back again and again. I am really looking forward to trying the full English breakfast.

Absolutely delicious. Freshly made sandwiches. Cake homemade. Warm homemade scone with jam and clotted cream. All a selection and you have the choice. So you choose, they prepare and make. So relaxing, sitting sipping tea and eating, was a treat and scrumptious. Will definitely go back again.

On our way back from Devon, we vowed to find a local business for lunch, having seen a road sign for the tea rooms we chose to investigate. Firstly, dog friendly. This was a huge bonus for us, the weather was inclement so finding somewhere indoors was amazing. Our dog had his own menu. Brilliant. Great milkshakes, really great serving size for lunch. I had sweet potato jacket with local ham and cheese. Substantial salad on the side. Wife had local ham, egg and chips. We cleared our plates. Service was friendly and helpful. Our dog was given plenty of attention. We would absolutely visit again. Thankyou for having us.
