Always get from here as a great spot :) Tonight I had the Christmas chip. Absolutely fabulous!!!!! Honestly unreal! Quick delivery as always too.

Dunno if it's because I was starving but the cod supper I got here went down an absolute treat. Bloke even threw in a free curry sauce for me as I was running low on cash, hero. Portion size was more than enough. Even had chips leftover there was so much.

it's supposed to be chicken fillet burger believe it or not! it didn't even fill the bap and the chicken was skinnier than the batter i have to say it was more like a chicken nuget burger it wouldn't fill an infant and I asked for salad and just received lettuce, I wouldn't have payed a £1 for it never mind £4.80. I'll not be back

Food wasn't great, big portions but . Just wasn't impressed..

I was served by Ann White and her customer service was amazing also the taco chip I received was the best yet from cod house and I'm a regular order out there. Keep up the good work ladies and thank you so much.

There are no dine in options at this location. Takeaway only. Food was good with plenty of chips and a very good size fish. Nice and hot.

Always first class food and service

Hit and miss in here, must be to do with who is on duty and cooking. 28th Feb 2023, order Cod, Chips, Onion Rings, Steakett and Battered Sausage. Steakett was fine, enjoyed that OK, Fish batter a bit thick, more batter than fish and I do not want to pay over a fiver for a pile of batter, the rest was OK, except the onion rings, my goodness , why did you even serve these to someone. Totally out of order, Batter so hard I could not even bite into it. Totally overdone, onions inside burnt and barely regonisable. I got from here the week before and all food was good, but, I have now had a gut full of rubbish food from takeaways, not saying this is the worst and not signalling out any paticular takeaway but mo one should not be sending out or charging for food that is inedible. Any one ready these reviews including all takeaways, any more food that is served inedible and not deemed fit for consumtion will be repoted to the Food Standards agency and picture taken of the food and also the food and packaging kept to be checked. I am sick of paying for rubbish food from anywhere that dares to serve it. And note, everyone else should do the same of they are not happy!

We ordered food from here for work. The delivery driver was very unpleasant when coming to our workplace because he had been waiting at the gate when he was told to take the number to ring because we aren’t always in the office. He had complained about waiting and was told he was given the number the second time around. Wasn’t a very pleasant service

Will definitely not be returning to this place it's the first time I tried it and have to say the hygiene standards leave a lot to be desired not that the place was dirty but you can imagine the horror when I was watching the girl helping with the cooking make up a curry chip then proceeded to lick the side of her finger not once but twice and I didn't see her wash her hands at any time.I also had ordered wings with Frank's hot sauce and got salted chilli wings instead which tasted of overpowering salt although the rest of the food which I ordered was average,meaning I've had better in comparison,the only thing it had going for it was the food was still hot when I got it home,sadly not an experience either my family or I enjoyed

Onion rings ...OMG superb. Whatever you are having Fish n Chips, Burgers, Kebabs or anything else just add onion rings. Gorgeous.

Picked a fish up this evening. Got home and the thing was barely cooked. The batter was soft and soggy. The dog wouldn't even est it. £5.90 as well. Safe to say I'll not be back.

Can be really nice at times but honestly depends on whose serving. Today my burger was burnt. Waiting times can be crazy. The girls dont really seem to be organised

When preordering lunch you expect it to be ready when you order it for! Don’t start making it at that time. People only get a certain time for lunch, hence the preorder. Wont be back!

I was in here tonight when a young girl came in for an order that came to £20.20 but she only had £20, owner made her leave out gravy, absolute disgrace!! I gave the wee girl the 20p, 2 weeks before Christmas too, needless to say given that and the bone dry chicken we'll not be back.

Food absolutely beautiful staff were brilliant definitely go back again.

Every time we have gotten from here they have got the order wrong. When we ordered online they left items out so we went in and placed an order. They gave us garlic dip instead of curry and battered mushrooms instead of onion rings.

I got a cheesy chip there was chopped onions in it couldn't even finish it just put me off eating it the next time I went in I must've have been standing about 5 to 10 minutes there was about 3 of them sorting out delivery's instead of serving customers waiting

Hadnt been for some considrable time and called in to get food and it was reasonable so thought when family was here i placed a delivery for cod supper fish gujons and 2 battered sausages. Here is the Rub. BurntFish - Burnt Gujons Over Fried Chips only thing eadable was the battered Saysages tried to phone to complain phone busy so Throw the Food Out A Waste of £20 Sadly it will be some time before im back there.

Huby got a sausage supper there he loved it although he said its changed it used to be 2 sausages and said chips were not that fluffy this time. But it gave him memories of his old days when he lived around the area.

Good fresh deep fried food. Really good chips, crisp and clean. Good scallops and chicken burger. Very good portions.

Stinking more vinegar than curry on my chips won't be back

Absolutely rotten. I ordered a curry chip with a splash of vinegar. What did I receive? A bloody bath of vinegar with a sprinkle of chips and curry sauce. What the hell like. A bath of vinegar? Ma curry sauce was swimming, that’s how bad it was. I’d rather run through the falls naked than visit this chippy again. Delight robbery, feel like I was mugged off. My mate Hutchy was gonna come down and let the hands go after i told him about my experience here. 0/10. Shocking. Abysmall. Disgusted

Very bland food. Not a patch on Captains Table

Not as good as the reviews would have you believe. Was really looking forward to it after reading the reviews as some said best chippy in Glengormley. Onion rings burnt, chips overcooked and very little curry on the half and half. Portions of chips not acceptable and served in small polystyrene closed containers which make the chips sweat and go soggy. Burgers were ok but I could honestly make better myself so not enough to make me want to order from here again.

Good portions and delicious food.

Very disappointing. We have heard such good reviews but sadly did not meet up to expectations. We ordered at 1830hrs and it arrived at 1940hrs which is ok as I know they are busy. The food was not very warm, very greasy, soft and soggy. Not a very good first impression and won't be ordering again.

Got a goujons with chips.. I find this. Disgusting / vile. The chips were so greasy I mise well drank cooking oil and barley any chicken 4 small thumbs size pieces. Would not recommend boke 🤢🤢 if I could give this zero stars i would..

Always raging when I don't get a pic of my lovely food,I was actually working across the road from this chippy at the time and was able to get a walk in order, Chicken Goujons and Chips + dip,£4:90,the batter was amazing, nice and light ,chips were perfectly done.. for the curry lovers out there for that was my small dip,it was the chinese kind,not your traditional chippy stuff,I didn't mind though I'm a big fan of any curry, definitely a place for a revisit.

Never normaly have a problem with this chippy. The food is usually amazing, fast delivery and always comes warm. But tonight in the fish batter was a metal staple. Very disappointed as my child could have been eating that.

Friday 10th of April 2020, under the circumstances, this place is THEE best in Glengormley. Under pressure an as always, 1 or 2 not so nice customers who like me had to wait. I had phoned in my order an was told 30mins. 32mins later my order was go to go. Fish cooked beautifully an the best chips in a long time. Any1 reading this, give these people a break, they are trying there best. Top marks, The Cod House.

First time customer as we stopped here on passing through Glengormley. Ordered a cod supper and separate cod, we got very large cods and the separate cod even came with plenty of chips. Both the fish and chips were cooked fresh and still piping hot when we got to the end of them. Top quality and not at all greasy. Would highly recommend.

Called in yesterday got two of the lunchtime specials amazing value & tasty

After a long week and after much coaxing from my girls, I got take away from here. Order taken smoothly and all correct, service was very quick, even though it was busy. Got a cod supper and cod bites supper-enough to feed 4 and all for £13. Batter was crispy and cod cooked well, chips were nice and big. All in all good service and meal!!

This chippy is quite local to me so I have eaten in it many times now. Food has always been good and don't thik I've had any issues with my orders yet. Takes a bit long than some other chippys I've been to as everything is cooked fresh rather than sitting out under a heat lamp. I fully intend to go back again.

Best chip shop in Glengormley. Hands down. Cook everything fresh, portions are great. Get the taco dog... It is a beast. One of the best batters I've had very light and crispy. I can't reccomend them. Highly enough.

We eat in this place regularly as the food is good quality, unfortunately when it comes to the staff and the taking of orders the quality ends. It got to the stage we’re stopped using them (which for us and them is unfortunate), 80% of our orders either have missing items of parts of it are wrong. This evening I collected an order and came home, guess what! part of the order was missing, so I called them and explained the situation, I was told I would have to come round and collect as they are busy, my reply was, “so am I!” An hour and a half late my order arrived, guess what? It was wrong, so I called again, what is the problem now? I started the tell the old woman with the attitude whom I would assume is one of the owners because I’m not entirely sure how anyone with an attitude like hers towards customers would ever get a job! It stinks!!! She hung up the phone on me, the younger girl, fair play to her tried to resolve the issue by explaining they were busy etc, NO EXCUSS!!! Get more staff or close. I was made to feel like the whole episode was my fault and I should just except what I was given, “Amazing customer service!” Needless to say what they sent to me was put in the bin. NEVER AGAIN!

Fish was burnt to a crisp. Not edible. Most went in the bin. Very disappointed as the last fish I got was great.

Best taco chips I've ever had, nice and clean, highly recommended.

It's hard to get a good chippy sometimes but the Cod House is one of the better ones.

Consistently​ good food delivered to your door fast

Clean, decent service - can get a parking space outside as long as not a busy time. Not a 5 star as not my favourite chips! ( I am super picky on chips!! ) Would not be on my list - but service, prices, etc seemed all fine.
