Cocoa Mama Chocolaterie in Mid Suffolk

Called in for some chocolate gingers and had a very lovely hot chocolate while I was there. Lovely place, great gifts, very friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

Really friendly welcome. Some lovely chocolate and gifts. Great coffee and cakes . A jug of cold water with the black coffee so it wouldn’t be too hot was a thoughtful touch . Would definitely return

I went into this cafe whilst killing some time, being a fan of chocolate I was very excited to try it. I was blown away by how friendly the man working there was, the salted caramels were very tasty and I also tried a banana chocolate which I had with a latte, sitting in the beautiful courtyard area. Would 100% recommend and will definitely be coming back!

We visited here and were pleasantly surprised to see they also offered lunch options. We both had the tomato & lentil soup which was quite simply delicious. It came with a freshly baked roll & a little pot of seeds. If you visit Eye or are even just passing through stop here for lunch! They also have lots of chocolates (obviously) and some delicious cakes all of which are baked on site!

The first time we saw Cocoa Mama it was closed so we were determined to catch it next time, and we are supremely glad that we did. It is a charming little café/shop with adequate seating for the bulk of the time but I suspect after 10.30 and at weekends some people may not get seated. Their coffee is very good in nice crockery. Their homemade cakes are great and of course their main thing is the chocolates which are great ranking amongst some of the finest artisans I have tried, there's no pretentiousness, yes they are prohibitively costly to buy any number of but on our two visits I selected four to accompany my drink and we took a small number home. They also make things such as chocolate gingers, brazils ect which we are gradually trying. The staff are friendly and efficient and unlike in some cafes a happy atmosphere predominates as the staff know they have a special offering and want their customers to enjoy it. Eye is a wonderful little town, well worth visiting, and for me Cocoa Mama is it's chief advert to potential visitors. I think every town should have one stand out café to enhance further a great day out. The only reason I can't award it five stars is that it is slightly expensive, other than that great!

Lovely friendly staff, small but comfortable café, pleasant homemade food and a really nice chocolate treat after lunch !

We went in here for fruit smoothies. They were absolutely delicious and very welcome on a boiling hot day. The staff are lovely, very helpful and attentive. They had some very delicious-looking other things to eat and drink which we will remember and will probably try in the future.

I have been to Cocoa Mama's on a few occasions and have either sat in for coffee and cake or ordered coffee to go. Cocoa Mama's have the most amazing Mocha I have ever tasted. Highly recommend this place, wish they were open for longer as they close at 3pm.

What a delight, the server was really Lovely, in fact an absolute pleasure have her serve us. The cake and drinks ordered were delicious. Service with a smile was most definitely present here. I'd happily return and recommend.

Lovely little cafe, would highly recommend the Chocolate Cloud Cake. Coffee is good and strong. Staff very helpful and know straight away if they can seat you. Worth a visit. Only downside is it is small and you could struggle to get a seat.

Mmmm, I am not a big fan of chocolate, my wife on the other hand thats a different story. We came here as a family, 7 in total, there was a good selection of cakes and savoury items to cater for all of our needs. Nice food and good service in the quaint market town of Eye.

Lovely coffee shop with homemade products and delightful gifts. Well worth a visit in this charming historic town.

This was a lovely visit, very nice place to have a drink and snack. The cakes were out of this world. Theres plenty of seating as theres more out the back and in the courtyard. Service was very good and efficient.

Called in for a light lunch, we both had the homemade soup and roll, as well as coffees. The soup was a spicy vegetable, thick and tasty, and the coffee was fine. The staff were very friendly and service was great. Only a few tables in the cafe, so quite an intimate cafe, but a decent choice of paninis, soup and light lunches.

Lovely coffee, chocolate and other drinks served by helpful staff in cosy premises where there are lots of different places to sit. Good take away service too.

Lo que un lugar encantador para tomar café por la mañana y algo traviesos. Con todo casero, es difícil seleccionar lo que quieres. Nos gustó el ambiente y el personal amable. Esto también sería un gran lugar para el almuerzo, el menú parecía muy sabroso e interesante.

Tarta vegana de chocolate. ¡Sí! No era realmente esperaba un opción vegetariana!

We are lucky to have this 'cafe' in eye. The food is good, the chocolates are luxury, if slightly pricey. They make very good gifts !The staff are always very helpful and extremely pleasant. Attached to this cafe is a lovely shop with all manner of attractive items!This is a great place to meet friends and I do so regularly!Hot chocolate is especially good!!!

It's a standing joke that when my husband and I go out for a drink and scone we rate them so today was no exception! We both had delicious hot chocolates drinks and I had a warm cheese Scone and my husband had a ginger Scone serve with a ginger preserve and we both said they were the best we had ever had! They sell a variety of hot foods and cakes - all cooked from fresh in their large kitchen! There is plenty of hidden seating so don't think they are only in the front of the shop. They also sell home made chocolates and a few gifts but their adjoining shop, Tilting Sky, sells lots of unusual gifts! A great little place which is very clean and tidy with friendly staff!

I use Cocoa Muma in Eye so much I'm on first named terms with the staff. There hot chocolate is the best I've ever tasted and the homemade chocolate especially the champagne truffles are to die for they also have a loyalty scheme so every so many drinks and you get a freebie my next one is free I will be in later in the week to claim it. Thank you girls for giving me somewhere to come in my pj's after a night shift to get a take home hot chocolate amazing staff with amazing food and drinks

We popped in for a coffee and piece of cake and are glad we did. Cake was excellent and the choice of chocolates on offer was great too. Only thing I would say is that I thought it was a tad pricey but good quality.

We have bought chocolate here, and been given chocolate from here as gifts, which we have enjoyed tremendously and is a real treat. This time we thought we woukd have lunch...it is a small shop but tales and chairs are squeezed in in different places throughout the shop, just a couple in each place including a small outside space, so makes for a relaxed intimate time. You can browse the goodies and small gift shop whikst waiting for lunch. There isn't a great selection, things like quiche or ham salad, panini or croissant with melted cheese. The cake selection is better and the coffee good. But the atmosphere is what makes the place...

The thing that I love the most is the fact that you can make up your own box of chocolates from a wonderful array. They pack them beautifully and they make the most wondrous gift. Lovely people serve you and the experience is just delightful!

Just passing with a friend and popped in for a coffee and snack. Very friendly quick service has little areas with seating so great place for a catch up sells wonderful chocolates too.

Popped in for a lunch. I had a soup which was not really to my taste... However the chocolates are amazing. Would recommend the salted caramel and marzipan

The coffee is good, and the chocolates are made on premises in small batches. So local chocolate with many interesting fillings and some unusual ones too. You can lunch here with panini and salad, or soup and a roll. All very good with excellent service. The cakes are made on site and are of course excellent.

Lovely food and very welcoming place. Dont just look in an think no room as plenty more seats. Chocolates are fabulous

Whenever we have driven through the tiny, picturesque town of Eye, Suffolk, England we have stopped at Cocoa Mama Chocolaterie. There is a small sitting area to enjoy the tasty treats that are purchased. The hot chocolate is perfect for cool fall and winter days. There are plenty of fresh baked goods to choose from and we always take a large supply of the delicious chocolate confections home with us!! The service has always been fast and friendly. Simply wonderful!!

Lovely local shop. Good fresh bakes each day. Good range. nice seating area and great for gifts. Lovely atmosphere.

Giant handmade cakes. Locally roasted coffe. Very friendly staff and WIFI. There just isn't much else to say. It's perfect.

We needed a coffee whilst waiting for a hockey match to start at the local school. I found this cafe on TA and we weren't disappointed, 3 of us parents relaxed in the warm of this friendly cafe with good coffees and went to the match happy.

Seriously addictive hot chocolate and a good range of coffee with a chocolate sprinkled cappucino, attentive staff and nice surroundings ! Wonder around this market Town with art galleries and independent retailers.

Beautiful hand made chocolates and cakes, fresh ground coffee and a lovely space to drink it in. I often buy the Choctalates as a gift for friends cause they come in a lovely little box. Also worth going to their shop Tilting Sky just as much though has gone into the shop as the coffee house.

Often get a coffee to drink in or take away. Staff always friendly and efficient. The cheese and bacon scones are delicious, the hot chocolate fab and the skinny lattes lovely :)
