Called in for lunch today, although extremely busy the staff handled a busy lunch sitting with great expertise and always with a smile. We felt very welcomed and counter staff were really helpful in our needs and choice of food. One young member of waiting staff did a wonderful job of clearing tables, seating diners in accordance of their needs, and serving lunches - all with a charming smile. The food in itself was delicious and fairly priced. I did think of the kitchen/cooking staff as plate after plate left the kitchen, speedily and looking freshly tasty. From experience I would say this is one of the best cafe teams I have experienced in many years. Working together, everything “just works” super smooth, super pleasant lunch experience.

Lovely cafe to visit. The staff are excellent, the food great and the variety of drinks very good. It's a quiet and relaxing place in which to have lunch and we use it frequently, both as a couple and with friends.

Ate here last week on a recommendation from a neighbour but it was only all right. Nice enough ambiance with not comfortable seating and a long wait for delivery of the food. Definitely not the menu it shows online and a limited choice for lunchtime. Actually we were sorry we stayed and should have used our initial instinct and moved on elsewhere, not ridiculously expensive but still nearly £24 for lunch that was not inspiring

Visited there with a friend to catch up and has a plain scone with jam and cappuccino, both lovely. Plenty of tables, friendly staff, cleanliness, plenty of food on menu.

we were here for lunch recently and everything we ordered was delicious. It's a very pleasant place to visit and the parking just outside is especially good.

The breakfast was amazing. Very well presented, top quality ingredients and very tasty. Couldn’t finish it as massive portion. The cafe was very busy which is also a good sign. A hidden gem.

Situated on the upper floor of Sterling Furniture Store this is a light bright cafe with tables well spaced out and overlooking the car park on one side and looking down into the store on the other . We ordered at the till and chose a table . The wait was about 10 minutes which is not to bad. I took the small Breakfast and tea and my daughter took the link sausage roll which was bursting with 3 sausages certainly value for money . The meal was of good quality and we would certainly come back

A bit of the beaten track but worth it. If this café was in the city centre, it would be packed out every day! We enjoyed lovely, freshly made sandwiches in a cosy atmosphere and took some delicious cakes home. I hadn’t been for a while but it’s every bit as nice as I remember, we’ll definitely be back.

We didn't stay but went for lunch one Sunday. We booked but several groups turned up without booking and were able to get a table. The menu is the usual pub grub but nicely presented and service was quick. Ae chose the roast beef, meatball and curry with icecream and coffee to follow. All very tasty The welcome and service were frienly and efficient and the dining room light airy and spacious.

What a disappointment. I found the Bothy at Boglily on TA, loved the look of the place, the gorgeous photos of cooked food on their site and the good reviews. We are doing a road trip and this was going to be our Sunday morning treat. The car park was jammed with cars and we saw people standing in a queue to pet baby goats. Upon entering the inviting Bothy and asking a young man for a table, we were told that we couldn’t bring our dog in. Fair enough. Not every dining establishment is dog-friendly. Though I was a bit surprised as the restaurant is in a buffalo farm, there’s a petting zoo and it’s in the countryside. The sun was shining so I asked if we could order our meal and sit at the table on the deck, directly next to the door of The Bothy (see photo for proximity). The young man’s response was that they don’t offer takeaway. I queried whether a table one step from the door qualified as takeaway. It reminded me of the TV ad with the man trying to buy potatoes at a farm shop and being told that he can only pay with digital currency. People taking themselves so seriously that they don’t think of the customer experience. We had driven up from our holiday cottage at Kinghorn especially to get a nice cooked breakfast from their lovely menu, so my surprise and disappointment were apparent. I was directed to the outdoor kiosk they call the Milk Bar to order something from their limited selection. We ordered one Double Cheese Toastie with fries, a latte, an affogato milkshake ( made with buffalo milk ice cream) and a scone, which was on their menu. The two lovely servers told me that they don’t sell scones outside and I would have to go to the Bothy Café to get one. When I explained that I had been told up there that I couldn’t get anything from them takeaway, the young woman offered to go get one for me. They were both very sweet and I apologised for my previous grumpiness. Unfortunately, it wasn’t worth the trouble. The cheese toastie and fries were served in a cardboard tray. The toastie was on “cheap white bread” according to my partner. I didn’t taste it. The fries and the milkshake however, were excellent. My scone was dry, cold and crumbled into breadcrumb texture when I tried to spread some butter on it. The crumb was impossible to pick up and eat but my dog liked it. It wasn’t worth eating for me as it then began to rain and we had to head for the car. I can’t help but think that the very cheerful, welcoming and upmarket website promises more than it delivers.
