Cobblers Bar and Bistro in Wyre

We called in on a very wet lunchtime between xmas and New Year. It was quite busy, perhaps helped by some of the other cafes in town being closed. I liked the different takes on the traditional brunch menu. I chose chorizo, njuda, eggs and beans on toast. Very tasty with a noticeable kick. My brother had the breakfast baton with bacon and eggs. We thought it would be a good idea to be able to add extra items to your choice. Excellent coffees with a complimentary biscuit. It wasn’t cheap at £22 for 2, but the food was excellent.

Amazing food great staff would highly recommend to anyone. They couldn't do enough for you great entertainment on as well what more could you ask for

We visited this establishment last Saturday. Met by very helpful lady who provided menus and came back a few minutes later to take our drinks order. We took our dog who was welcomed and they brought him some gravy bones which went down exceptionally well. Young lady came back and took our food order which came within 15 minutes as it is all cooked fresh on the premises. Food was excellent as was the service, friendly atmosphere and dogs welcome, quite a few dogs were in the restaurant. Would recommend this friendly establishment and will certainly return .

Doing a quick bit of Chrismas shopping we called in at cobblers for a morning coffee. Instantly greeted by an elf who found us a nice table. We only had coffee and toasted fruit bread and butter. The service was speedy and the staff were brilliant. The specials board looked really good and the plates of food that passed us on the way from the kitchen looked very tempting will make a point of having lunch there next time we are passing. Can't fault the food or staff but the kitchen is very slow. Three times now had to wait 40 mins for a small breakfast. Either not prepped up fully or short on kitchen staff but avoid if you are short on time

Evening bistro menu is small but the dishes are perfection! The best fillet steak I've had in Years. If you go in the daytime the coffee is the best in town!

This a brilliant place to visit in the daytime for lunch and a coffee. It is even more impressive for their evening bistro service. The new chef has settled in and turning out the best freshly cooked dishes in Garstang! The wines are equally as good but the Mediterranean Bistro dishes are just stunning!

The quiz night in cobblers bar Is a fantastic night that is not to be missed . We were treated with such warmth by 3 wonderful staff members Cliodhna, Lorcan and Connor who also played on our team . The pints are brilliant and thr service is to be commended we will 100% be back to cobblers bar and the Wyatt Hotel

Came here recently on a Monday afternoon for lunch. We had to wait a little while to order as the girls who were working were to busy stroking one of the regular customers dogs… I ordered the fried chicken burger and my wife the fish and chips. After what seemed like a lifetime our food finally arrived, on biting into the burger I was disappointed to find they use chicken thigh instead of breast, a cheaper cut and it’s obvious why, but the main issue was the burger was swimming in grease. (I feel sick just thinking about it) It also came with the strangest coleslaw I’ve ever seen.. no mayo just the cabbage/onion and carrot?! The wife enjoyed her fish and chips but it’s safe to say we won’t be returning.

We stumbled across this gem of of a place last week... Walking in we were greeted with the biggest smile from a lady called kerry... Drinks and food were ordered quickly, still in keeping with covid. Excellent hygiene standards. The food came hot the presentation was eye pleasing.. The taste was even better.. Fresh smoked salmon bagel with dill cream cheese with a side of home made chips.. A crisp glass of savingnon blanc finished it off perfectly. .. Will be back soon.. Also dog friendly which is a bonus 💕

This could be a really good cafe but sadly for me inprovements could ne made.. Cappuccino not hot enough and only half a cup full., no napkin given with food, staff not particularly friendly I found.. Table service but you have to stand and queue to pay at the end...

It's Monday at 3pm. I decided to pop in for a takeaway hot chocolate however I was aware it was Monday and thought it might be closed. Although it said on the door opening times it was closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday there were people inside so I went in. There were no staff anywhere so I waited, still no staff so I called out" Hello" several times still no one came. I then walked in to the back towards the kitchen and peered through the door. Staff looked at me as if I'd broken in? I then said' Are you open?" Yes was the reply. Oh I said. A young girl came out and made me a Hot chocolate which was lukewarm I handed it back and asked for a HOT chocolate. At the same time a older couple were complaining about their coffee having no milk in them despite them being flat whites?? I asked the girl why it said on the door closed M, T and W? She said 'oh that was last week's times"???? These two girls were about as lively and dynamic as a dry sponge. Not good enough. It was painful. Unsure if I would return but hopefully it was a one off???

On a flying visit to Garstang and Cobblers was recommended by the Estate Agent we visited. Lovely friendly staff great coffee and so looking forward to moving to Garstang and making Cobblers a regular stop

Don't walk past this bistro if you are in Garstang. A warm welcome, good range of food and drinks available and all at a reasonable price. I would definitely recommend.

We were visiting Garstang last Tuesday and decided to try Cobblers for lunch. On entering, we could see how busy they were. A staff member came over and asked if we had a booking. We didn’t, but we were asked if we would like to leave our details and someone would ring us when a table became available. We did this and only waited 10 minutes for the call. I’m so happy we decided to wait!!! On arriving we were asked to sanitise our hands and were seated at a table in the window (perfect for people watching) Track and trace was taken and our drinks and food orders were taken quickly. We opted for the beef burger and the Poached Salmon, with spring onion mash, Mornay sauce topped with a poached egg. A Mythos and a latte. What can I say!!! The food portions were huge! Everything home made and absolutely delicious (the onion rings are to die for) we were too full to order dessert, but the ones we did see being served looked lovely. We will definitely have one next time we are in Garstang! To our absolute surprise when our bill arrived we discovered we had a large discount. We had forgotten about the eat out scheme. Thank you Cobblers!!I don’t normally write reviews but I felt this was well deserved. 10/10 from start to finish, although the staff were clearly run off their feet, not only with customers but extra cleaning, they were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I refer to your reply to my daughters review. Myself and my son in law were facing the toilets, and felt as if we were in a corridor, with people walking past to the toilet which is why we asked if we could be moved. The speaker was over our heads , and couldn’t be described as background music.there were 3 loose teas on your menu,fruit , earl grey and lemon and ginger.I asked if there was any breakfast tea, and was told she would look for tea bags. As I am teetotal,and don’t drink juices I asked for water. We usually eat at the deli where good food and welcoming staff are the norm, unfortunately they do not open on Monday. Please get your facts right.

I have visited this venue numerous times, I have never been disappointed. Used takeaway service during lockdown could not fault anything. Went again this week during the eat out scheme yet again nothing to fault at all, food was beautiful, service excellent as always. Can see a lot of effort has gone into making cobblers as safe possible

Enjoyed a meal for two in lovely surroundings. Had black pudding starter. We both had Steak Rossini with chips, to finish we shared a fruit crumble , we couldn’t fault the food , the service was just right and portions sizes were too. Totally recommend Cobblers, it was a perfect romantic evening!

Selected here for lunch based on other reviews. I think we must have gone to the wrong place as it is not good and doesn’t deserve it’s ranking. We were seated in the corridor which lead to the toilet. The chair cushions were filthy. Radio was booming with a speaker above us. Had to ask for menus to which the manageress did apologise and said that she should have told us she would bring them to the table. They were brought and quickly left. No idea of soup of the day, quiche choice or meat for hot sandwich. Mum wanted a cup of tea. They had no tea bags but only loose leaf in three strange varieties. She opted for water. Ordered meat of the day on crunch roll, fish and chips and quiche. We felt like we were in the way whilst people visited the toilet. Some for longer periods than others! The staff did put a chair in the door way to try and route the toilet queue a different way but the toilet door was still our view and customers climbed over the chair. Unfortunately they didn’t have an alternative table for us. We asked twice for the radio to be turned down and the manageress said of course not a problem just ask (we had done twice). Fish and chips greasy, meat crusty roll was served on a soft sub roll I only wish we had taken a picture of the slop it was! Quiche was ok. Queried the bread for the meat sandwich was told it’s just white or brown and manageress didn’t seem aware it said on the menu that it was crunchy. You can’t serve pulled pork with juices on soft bread. We paid for drinks and left. Manageress said it was just one of those things.

What a delicious meal we just had yet again at the cobblers bar and bistro on Garstang High Street. The steak was cooked exactly to how I asked, the creamy home made peppercorn sauce had just the right heat of spice to go with my favourite chips anywhere!! The starter was bloody amazing too, Turkish spiced lamb on a flat bread, all homemade, all delicious!! See photo!! Then the pudding Omg the pudding, I opted for the fruit crumble and custard which today was an apple and cherry offering!! Soooo good, honestly it was worth the drive there just for the crumble! I believe the owner when he said they have regulars who come in just for a coffee and crumble!! I certainly will doing that in the future lol.Thanks again to the team at the cobblers, handling local fresh ingredients with skill and respect, delivering great food for a great price, in these uncertain times if you want to treat your tastebuds, support this local restaurant/bistro and all their local suppliers by dining at this gem in Garstang.

Our family visit here often but the night we went, we waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for the main course with no apology until we enquired as to the delay. The female manager/owner ignored all but the staff but was finally attentive to the other tables after they had complained - and even bought them complimentary drinks but completely ignored us: she made not one visit to explain or apologise, instead leaving it to the poor younger staff to do so. This shocked us more than the wait. When the food arrived, it wasn’t the best and we had to ask for the vegetables missing from the plate. Meatballs were tasteless and looked like they had been made in a microwave. My son was overtired and didn’t eat the food.So sad because we normally enjoy it here. Credit to the young staff who were good but the Manager is obviously not au fait with how to run a restaurant well nor good customer service.

Service was good, place following good hygiene. Full breakfast looked amazing. Don’t have the Prawn cocktail it was not good.Prawns were plentiful but very small more like shrimps. They were dreadfully tasteless and sauce was like water. Bread was ok but rather stale.Ordered tea which was very very weak

Visited twice in past 2 weeks, once for a coffee and scones and once for Sunday Lunch. Both were absolutely delicious and the staff were brilliant. Hand sanitizer is available on entry and by the toilets, all menus are cleaned after use and tables are spaced nicely meaning we felt incredibly safe. Whilst they're no longer doing Sunday lunch I'm looking forward to going back as their food is fantastic!

Had a brill birthday meal here , a few cocktails first and then I had food from the specials and my hubby off the normal menu, our food was presented beautifully and was fantastic , full of flavour ! The staff were lovely and friendly and were all on top of all the guidelines we have heard of and you felt safe (which in this day and age is what alot are thinking about!) Will definetly be returning! Highly recommend!

We had a return visit under very different times whilst staying nearby but everything is as it should be, track and trace details being taken which is totally right. The scones were as delicious as ever and the sausage bap went down very well. The lattes were very welcome on a quite cool and rainy day. Great visit!!

Popped into my favourite cafe in Garstang High Street today, yet again I wasn't disappointed. During this unsure period the cafe where doing everything they possibly could to meet and exceed the recommended guidelines for cleaning. No menus on the table, no salt and pepper, all brought to you and then removed and cleaned when your finished. I whitnessed them wiping the tables and chairs down after guests had left. They are literally doing everything they can to keep their customers safe and the premises clean. This is their livelyhood like all the small businesses out there, if possible we need to support then all. Food was amazing as usual, service was amazing. I even got extra cookies.... :) Thank you cobblers

This is a great little tearoom in Garstang, superb bacon buttie, great enviroment and the staff can't do enough to help.We could tell that the locals loved the place, will be back next time we visit Garstang.

Called in for lunch today I had a Prawn baguette and my husband had cheese they came with salad and crisps and were absolutely delicious the nicest baguettes we ever had in a cafe . The service was with a smile and the atmosphere lovely . We will now try an evening meal but highly recommend lunch .

Went on "Black Eye" Friday with three friends for a bite to eat and a couple of pints. None of us had the Christmas menu and stuck to their Bistro/Classics. All very good. Service great. Plates not groaning with food, but there was enough to fill you up (I was quite envious of a prawn cocktail). Slight menu adaptation for one of us was accommodated no problem.Two courses, two pints averaged £25 a head. Live guitarist/vocalist on who was very good, but given the small space, could have turned the volume down a notch, but that's personal preference.

Booked a table for Saturday lunch, place was very busy. Nice, comfortable surroundings and the staff were efficient and friendly.

We enjoyed a really lovely meal here on a Friday evening, there was a good singer, the atmosphere was relaxed and the food was delicious. The music wasn’t too loud so we could have a good catch up, and the food and drinks were reasonably priced considering the quality. I’d highly recommend.

Visited on a Monday lunchtime when the town was just about closed, this bistro was like an oasis of warmth and cosiness. This was our first visit to Garstang and we popped into Cobblers for lunch. We received a warm welcome and found that there were lots of interesting meals and snacks to choose from. We opted for the delicious home -made leek and potato soup and the Lancashire Cheese and Chutney sandwich which was served in a lovely artisan wholemeal bread. Service was lovely throughout our visit and we can highly recommend this restaurant.

We celebrated my husband's 60th birthday here in September and had an awesome night. Thanks to Gareth and his staff, the whole night was a success. I hired the bistro privately so there was 27 of us. We had a great sax and keyboard player which went down very well.
