Coffee was excellent, unfortunately the coffee and hazelnut cake was disappointing, no coffee flavouring at all, poor quality synthetic cream, and 4 hazel nuts. Interesting that nothing in this place is priced! May be it is but we’ll hidden.

First visit to Foundry Rd and we were not disappointed. The coffee was excellent and the staff were fantastic. We were invited to be escorted around the Roasting area on next visit. Bought some coffee gifts for family as well. A big shout out to staff members Georgia. Amelia and Rian. We cannot wait to return.

Way over priced, and not good quality for the outrageous cost, not very friendly staff and coffee wasn’t very nice, only take card so that was also a let down

Fab coffee bar with their own ground coffee. Buy the beans ground to your own preference to take home and make your own coffee. Drink in or takeaway - no huge ungainly M style cartons either . Buy your own Coaltown Mug or bring your own mug to get a discount everytime.

Great coffee, tea and more. Ginger beer, soft drinks etc. Cakes but no sandwiches or food at the time we were there. Card only, no cash. A few tables inside. You can also see the roasting room! When the weather is nice, there are several tables outside. We sat outside, one had tea, one had a caffe latte. Sunshine and good coffee, what more can you ask?! If in the mood for a good coffee, Coaltown fits the bill.

Love that you can see into the roasting area - superb menu - even for the non-coffee fan. Will definitely have a cake next time!

I live in Carmel so only 15 mins away and have passed this coffee house so many times and never called in. A friend who is a regular who comes from Gowerton to buy the coffee (must be good) asked me if I wanted to meet for a coffee and a chat (yesterday the 11th of Jan 2022) and I agreed. I am so glad I did. What a great place, fabulous décor and the cappuccinos were so good I had 2. Stunning coffee and only £3, It makes a Mocca (mockery sorry 😂 ) of Starbucks prices and they cant get anywhere near the quality of this coffee. The young girl who was the barista was so so lovely, really chatty, as I waited for her to prep my coffee she said with a smile "doing anything exciting today" bless her, she was so lovely. If you are anywhere near and need a pep up here is the only Place I would recommend within 20 miles for a really great coffee and if you feel the urge try their carrot cake. sumptuous.

Been buying their coffee on and off for a number of years so it was good to get to go and see the roastary and have a drink "fresh'. Wasn't disappointed, the coffee is lovely as are the cakes. It's a shame they hadn't started pizzas again post pandemic. Also, the best toilets in Wales.

Superb, current environment- could be in London or USA- exciting to see the great coffee making equipment and the decor overall makes it a 'must visit'- worth the drive from miles around. Food and staff all excellent- not cheap, but worth it- we live locally now- so great for us

This is our second visit to this traditionally themed coffee bar,the decor and location takes me back to years ago ,when coffee was a one of luxury. The member of staff was delightful and it was great to hear her passion for the brand.

I prefer this location to the main one, it’s quieter and more nicely decorated I think! The coffee is still excellent as are the cakes.

The aesthectic doesn't appeal to me but does that matter? Not really because the coffee is Amazing and the hot coffee is creamy and delicious. It is a small coffee shop so don't expect seating to always be available. If you want a nice place to sit and drink awesome coffee. I suggest walking the extra mile to the roastry. This coffee shop is great if you are waiting for a bus and need a pick me up or just a warm beaverage on a cold day. I love coaltown coffee but this place and the roastry have 1 glaring problem which stops it from me from rating it 5 star. The place only accepts card. This on its own is not an issue until you have to insert your card. When you insert your card they turn an 10 to 14 inch tablet towards you. The numbers appear on the tablet in a very large font. It is impossible to hide what number you are pressing and makes it very easy for an eagle eyed customer behind you to aquire your pin code. Of course this is not an issue if you pay contactless. I am not sure why they don't use a regular card reader or a chip and pin machine. Everytime I buy from here I always pray I haven't reached my contactless limit to avoid this. It is a real concern of mine which sours the experience but only a little. Still the best coffee brand around though

We happened across this wonderful cafe (far more than a cafe!) and were just after a latte. We had the dog, so hubby bought a couple of lattes and came back to the car, raving about how good it was in there. We started to drink and mid sentence, he stops what he’s saying, just to say “Blimey, that’s amazing!” The latte is more like a hot milkshake. It’s smooth and there’s no bitterness. I wound up popping in, to see what the fuss he was making was about. It’s lovely, well furnished and interesting. There are travel mugs, coffee soap, T shirts and a few bits to buy. Also coffee, I am no coffee connoisseur, so when one of the friendly staff asks if I needed any help, I was very happy to accept. Becca, kindly told me which of the coffees was in the lattes we had purchased. Needless to say, one wound up in my handbag! I also ended up taking out two more coffees, whoops!!! Great place, which is worth going out of your way for! We wish we were local, we would go there an awful lot!

An amazing experience with a very social atmosphere. Everytime I walk through the door I am always greeted with open arms from every barista there. Even if you don’t like coffee, they serve amazing tea and a hot chocolate to die for.Ever since I walked through that door around about a year ago, I have challenged my taste in new types of coffee, especially under the countless fantastic suggestions given by the barista Dan, a barista which has now always been linked to the espresso bar in my friends minds. It’s rare to find a place where the music is as good as its coffee.Keep up the good work Coaltown.

Went here for a coffee and a chat. Coffee was very good. However this is a very small coffee shop and when somebody takes the largest table and uses it as an office making phone calls and papers spread over a table that would seat 6 people. It resembles sitting in his office. Not a relaxing atmosphere and impossible to chat. Never again

Stopped off after walking Llyn y Fan Fach. Was recommended by friends. So glad we stopped. Really great quirky vibe. Fantastic coffee and fabulous pizzas. It's so good that we were thinking not to post a review in case it gets too busy/popular that we won't be able to get in next time. As it was it was really busy on a drizzling Sunday at 2pm.

Being an old wrinkly, we tend to run out of energy quite quickly, hence not being able to pass a coffee shop, my good lady wife and I have never frequented this establishment so had no idea what we would find. From the out side of the premises it's looks pretty impressive, good parking and plenty of space, on the inside to the right came a sight of a bygone era, coffee bean city, huge sacks of coffee beans, roaster's and grinders, in front and to the left is the counter and seating. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the coffee is outstanding, but the best part was bumping into some very good friend's, what a treat, two hours later it was time to pay the bill, cost wise it's on par with all other coffee shops, the thing I must mention is that this establishment only excepts credit cards, so don't get cought out or embarrassed by turning up with a pocket full of cash and no card. All in all it was a lovely visit.

Lovely little cafe in the arcade. It can cosily fit approximately 10, so it was pot luck that we managed to get somewhere to sit inside. The coffee was strong and full of flavour and the chocolate brownie was delicious too. If I'm in the area again I wouldn't hesitate to come back, but I would also like to check out their other (bigger) cafe & roastery on Foundry Road too.

After getting fish & chips opposite the lady advised us to go & have a drink... £2.50 a pint she said. So we went and yes it was £3.90 for a pint & a half! What amazingly great value together with a warm welcome from the barmaid. Sat outside with a glimpse of the sea. Highly recommend.

Stopped off at this oasis on our way to Tenby. My wife and I both ordered bacon sandwiches and coffee lattes. Beautiful “home baked “ bread (probably from a bakery but looked and tasted home baked) a generous helping of thick cut bacon and a delightful cup of coffee. Staff were busy but friendly and attentive.

Not suitable for gluten free options despite menu description. We stayed locally and this restaurant had good reviews and described having gluten-free options available which was cinic red when we phoned to book a a table. The reality however was very different. Unless I wanted a vegan red Thai curry there were no options for me on the menu. The items described as gluten free in the menu weren't available and we were told the menu was out of date. Very disappointing and not suitable for anyone wanting gluten free options.
