When me and Willow (my dog) arrived we were made to feel so welcome and immediately provided her a water bowl. I stayed to enjoy a lovely evening meal and drinks, and a breakfast in the morning. Its no exaggeration when I say its the nicest food Ive had this year. Definitely staying here again. Thank you very much

The Coach house catered for the wake of my late father in August 2024. The room was just right for 35 people. The staff provide wonderful food over and above the usual buffet. Nothing was too much trouble. The buffet was great value for money. We would highly recommend this venue for a small party or meeting of 25-50 people.

What a really nice Pub. Stopped here, fairly unplanned, on the way back from trip to Devon, with family and dog. They were very friendly, the bar area and restaurant decor is really smart and the food was excellent (English pub style food, done really well). They even brought a bowl of water for the dog! Thanks, will be back if we are out that way again.

Stopped here today on our way back from Cornwall. The person who served us, I think she was the manager was so accommodating and friendly. She was very busy with walk ins but her service was fantastic and we had an amazing late lunch. The Fish and Chips is really good! Dog friendly in the bar side and a really lovely pub. We will visit again on our travels

My friend and I stopped in here for Breakfast. The building is very nicely decorated. We took our seats and viewed the menu and surprised to see the prices for what is a cooked breakfast. We opted for the big breakfast coming in at £17.50. Extremely expensive even compared to London prices where I’m from. I have paid £55 for a breakfast before in Mandarin Hotel in London, now that WAS worth every penny. Well this one was absolutely shocking and not worth half that amount. 2 slices of toast was just 2 warm slices of bread. The 3 rashers of bacon was 2 when it arrived. 2 rock hard (over cooked) poached eggs. A slice of Black Pudding which was not cooked, it must have had the same level of heat as the warm bread that should have been toast. “A THIMBLE OF BEANS”… I would be ashamed to present them - I wish I could post all the photos we took. Half a tomato and mushroom were as described, as were hash browns. Sausages were good. Conclusion is it’s a rip off for a poor quality meal. Due to over cooked eggs and a thimble of beans and dry warm bread, lead to a dry breakfast. You should be ashamed to put that on a table and more so with that price.

Excellent pub/restaurant, set in lovely village, we spotted the sign on main road into Winterbourne Abbas. Great menu selection - we had cod and chips (with all the trimmings). Ordered an all day breakfast, what a joke! 1 overcooked, burnt, dried up small sausage, 2 rashers of small bacon, one was burnt and dried up, hidden under reheated chips, the other rasher just dried up. A reheated soggy mushroom and half warm bake beans served in a large egg cup. All in all, the worst cooked breakfast I think I have had in my life. My conclusion was that I had been served the remnants from much earlier in the day. £15 for that, what a rip off, suggest they employ someone who can cook!!!

We were driving back from Cornwall and we were half way so we stopped for lunch. I had the cheese baguette whilst other members had the pork baguette. As a vegetarian I found the choice underwhelming and the cheese in the baguette quite bland. My father in law had a pork baguette which he said was very dry and very thick. The service was quite slow considering the pub was quite empty.

Nice decor and lighting so it has a nice ambience. Service was good and friendly. Food was nice but expensive for what it is. We went a four years ago and found the food not worth the money so didn't go back. We tried it again yesterday in case it had inproved but kids meals are £9 main course and 3 courses for £18 which is more than I've ever seen. We won't be going back because the place and food don't match the cost. It's not worth it for us.

WWE had a great meal, problem we had was when our plates were collected we were asked if we wanted Desserts, we said no not yet, we were about to order drinks while we made up our minds about Dessert, unfortunately the guy brought us our bill, we never asked for it, but we felt like he wanted us to go... Pity about that we have eaten at the Sister Company, the Kings Arms in Portesham a good few times now & have never been in a position to fault them, they are absolutely great... We will go back to the Coach as the food was very good & hopefully next time we will be allowed to stay longer😉😉

I wouldn’t recommend going to coach inn . Disgusting behavior from staff and a vile mouth from the manager. They said they were able to accommodate a group of 80 of us in there function room and 43 food meal booked 3-4 weeks prior . Was told we’ll need to preorder and was told to look at the menu on there website then when I gave my order was laughed at and said that was wrong menu whilst being very snarky. Then changed the number of people to 25 a week prior and was confirmed everything was okay . The manger on the phone made racial comments about they don’t allowed Gypsies in there pubs and referred to us as “being trouble” when we have eaten in this pub for years and me partner used to call in there after work for a pint (never once a incident) absolutely appalling service and women should be ashamed of her self

On the plus side, the breakfast was excellent with beautifully cooked free range egg and top quality sausage. The evening menu was a bit limited, but nicely cooked. The room & bathroom were a bit larger than usual. On the down side for some perhaps, was that the room was right next to the A35 passing through the village. It's not a busy road late at night, but may be an issue for some.

As we headed to Devon we stopped at this place to have a breakfast as all the old roadside places are now take aways or coffee stops , anyway I have to say the place itself is absolutely beautiful inside with a lovely outside seating area but that's where the nice part of the experience ended unfortunately 😞 I ordered 2 full English breakfasts with extra toast & when I was told the price I was very shocked that it came to £33 🥺 but I thought this will be amazing ! I should have realised it was going to go wrong when the young barman didn't have a clue how eggs where cooked , he asked me how I liked them & didn't understand my answer. Breakfast arrived it was tiny honestly the extra toast wasn't even toasted it was more like a slice of bread & then when my partner asked if the cereal sitting on the side was included in the price he said yes which he hadn't told us it was just didn't have a clue so very disappointing 😡 I don't mind paying good money for anything if it's worth it but believe me it wasn't sorry to say we will never go back 😔😔

We came with friends as we had all been gifted afternoon tea, and chose to visit this tearoom. We booked just over a week in advance. What a great choice! A great selection of beautifully fresh finger sandwiches, scones, cream and jam. and a selection of small cakes, which were so light. Absolutely scrumptious. We weren't rushed, so we could sit and enjoy our food. The folk working in the tearoom were very welcoming and we had a delightful afternoon. Thank you!

We had an incredible experience at the Cross Keys. Mo and his team hosted my Father's funeral wake yesterday. The whole experience was incredible - made so special by Mo, Lucy, David and the girls. Nothing was too much trouble, and we felt completely wrapped up in their arms from the moment we walked through the door to make the arrangements, right through to the day itself. I cannot thank the team enough for creating such a special celebration, which you planned so incredibly well. The delicious food platters were superb, and all the guests said what a beautiful venue it was. I was personally nurtured throughout the whole day, with Mo and Lucy checking in with me to make sure everything was perfect - and even David coming in on his day off to make sure my Dad's favourite music was being played. I can't thank them all enough from the bottom of my heart for all their kindness. We stayed in their family suite for the night. Our room was superb, with the biggest bed I've ever slept in, and beautiful views out onto the market square and the Conduit. I can thoroughly recommend a stay at the Cross Keys - the service is exceptional, the rooms amazing, and the breakfast was superb. We also had our evening meal in the restaurant, and it was exceptional. THANK YOU TO THE WHOLE TEAM AT THE CROSS KEYS - YOU ARE ALL AMAZING.
