Clubhouse Restaurant in East Lothian

Craigielaw Golf Club has an excellent restaurant, with a great menu. Best of all, it's open to non-members, and hungry travellers such as myself. Service is friendly and welcoming, and the food, although a touch higher than average pricing, is well prepared and presented, and very tasty too. The restaurant looks out towards the sea over the golf course, and has panoramic views. An enhancement to any meal.

Truly friendly staff. Wholesome food and an amazing atmosphere. I recommend Fish and Chips. Wonderful spirits and appetizers.

Nothing to complain about, but nothing to write home about. A pretty bog standard menu and pretty bog standard food. Thankfully, at relatively bog standard prices as well, so you get exactly what you expect!!

Paramos en la oportunidad de cenar, muy tarde un domingo. El personal de la mesa, moviendo otros cenas alrededor - y procedió a servir la comida estupenda. Mi rib-eye steak estaba preparado exactamente cómo lo solicite.Muy buena comida y excelente servicio, también era una gran variedad de cervezas. Sin duda volveré.

Este restaurante es a menudo tranquila sobre todo cuando nos han visitado en el otoño y el invierno. Golf en la oscuridad no ha cogido todavía! La comida aquí es un corte por encima de la habitual casa club o comida de pub y el servicio es muy rápido y sumamente educado.

Este es un club hermoso en un entorno hermoso y pintoresco, pero no es un gran restaurante. Había cuatro de nosotros. El Cullen gomera estaba bien, pero sólo cálido y bastante finas. La ensalada de pollo era lo suficientemente agradable, pero el queso y patatas fritas "aperitivo" era una broma. El servicio era el mínimo absoluto, fría, desinteresada y humorless. No había ni rastro de una bienvenida sobre el lugar. Lo siento.

We visited in the evening for a meal. The table was by the window with fantastic views over to Fife. The food was lovely and will be back. The fish starter sampler is worth trying.

we played here for a full week and visited the clubhouse on many occasions the clubhouse whilst very smart lacked a bit of atmosphere and the private members lounge didn't help. expensive but tasty food & drinks

Llevé a mi anciana madre para el almuerzo - hermoso día, preciosas vistas desde el restaurante, que es en sí mismo un ambiente agradable, con un ambiente agradable. La comida era deliciosa, muy bien presentada y llegó rápidamente una vez que habíamos pedido. La única pega era una camarera, que dejó sentado en una mesa vacía durante 25 minutos sin explicar que necesitamos ir a el bar para pedir... No necesariamente me impiden volver, pero una mala primera impresión creado. es las pequeñas cosas que hacen la diferencia.

Great food in a beautiful setting, staff very attentive. Stayed for a couple of days and can highly recommend the fabulous Scottish breakfast along with the excellent accommodation well worth a visit

Liked the view and food was good but staff came across as being very unfriendly. Will not be back, there are plenty of other local restaurants who have a warmer welcome.

The meal was so good our first night we dined there our second night too. We were just as pleased the second time. John the manager was so friendly he is a credit to the place

We were looking for somewhere new to go and this was a great find. The incredible view across the Firth of Forth would have been worth it alone, but finding that the food was decent, well priced and generously portioned was a bonus. The golf club members were also very friendly and helpful, realising that we'd never been there before and pointing us in the right direction for seating and drinks. We had a burger, fish and chips and a ploughmans lunch and while they weren't top notch, they were well cooked and of a good standard. We're looking forward to many more trips here to relax and enjoy the stunning scenery.

We wouldn't normally choose a golf club as a lunch venue, but it was in the right place at the right time. A modern building with a massive picture window looking out over the forth (via the golf course).My nachos cost a little more than a fiver and I was served a mountain! My wife's roast veg panini was equally appreciated.The bar/restaurant does lack some soul, having a committee-designed and managed feel about it. But for a quiet bar lunch maybe with extended family and friends you could do no better around here.No awkward steps.
