We were invited here for an invitation day. What a lovely club. A warm welcome in the pro shop from the team. The course was challenging and in great condition, a great experience. The club house team also accommodating with good food and wine to enjoy on the balcony. Definitely will return.

We hired Henbury Golf Club for a joint 50th birthday party. Neil and Josh were really helpful making the arrangements beforehand, and Freya and the bar/kitchen staff on the night were great too –friendly and efficient. The venue looks lovely inside and out, with beautiful views and an excellent terrace area for early evening drinks outside. Our party happened to coincide with a big England football match, which lots of our guests were keen to watch. The Golf Club were very accommodating and welcomed us all to watch it there, even though this meant we had the run of the place well before the designated party start time They didn’t need to do that for us, and it was much appreciated. We ordered the buffet menu, which was really tasty and there was more than enough for everyone. Without being asked, Freya and team packaged up all the leftovers for us to enjoy the next day. All in all, an excellent venue with great service. We’d definitely recommend!

We don't play golf, but the members are always polite when we walk through on the public rights of way. Loved walking across the peaceful greens in lockdown to enjoy the beautiful trees, but good to see business thriving again now. Sneak into their shop occassionally for a bar of chocolate when walking! Welcoming atmosphere.

I hosted a society golf day at Henbury this month and it was a great success. The course was in fantastic condition and the staff looked after us brilliantly. We will 100% be coming back again next year

We recently attended an excellent Christmas Ball at HGC. We are fortunate to belong to such a happy, friendly Club. It was great to attend such a special event after the difficulties of 'Lockdown'. The food was delicious, well done Owen and his team. Really looking forward to a full calender of social events in 24'. Can't recommend this Club enough.

I was at Henbury golf club on this occasion for post funeral wake. The club staff were friendly and efficient. They provided a good supply of delicious snacks. Bar service was excellent.

I joined last summer so have just completed my first full year at the club. As a new lady member, it was great that the ladies section operate a “buddy” system so I had someone to play with, ask about all of the rules and she introduced me to a lot of the members which was great. Everyone was very friendly and more than willing to play with me, even if I was new to the game. I was added to various WhatsApp groups which was a great way to meet more members. They also have three roll ups per week which is such a good way to just turn Up and play. It can be quite nerve wracking to join a new club when you know no one but I can honestly say that everyone I have met has been friendly and I have thoroughly enjoyed my first full year as a member.

Had a fabulous lunch today. We were a party of 25 and were looked after by extremely efficient and pleasant staff. Food was excellent. Well done Chef

Played against the Ladies Section in a match with the Mendip Spring Seniors. What a lovely day of golf! Really enjoyed the company. Greens in fantastic shape, the course is tight in places but a lovely parkland course in the heart of Westbury village.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the ladies of Henbury GC that hosted MSGC Seniors in a fearlessly contested match. On a superbly pepaired course Henbury ladies were victorious. I am very much looking forward to revenge at the return match at MSGC next year.

Course is in fantastic condition and very friendly welcome in the proshop. Good value compared to other Bristol courses.

Dry weather🌞 when I play but windy🌬️🌀 number 10 tee very up up hill 😂🏌️‍♀️⛳, green and fairways all the par 3 hole ⛳ you need to try very nice tee 7 par 3 love it outstanding all look good for me very enjoyable day, people are friendly ⛳🏌️‍♀️🙏🙏

Attended for a wake. Like another golf course venue I have attended, no sound dampening so impossible to speak to other people and hear what they are saying properly. Food provided was good.

A very pleasant course with challenges for all abilities; the greens are quick and true. A delight to play and great traditional clubhouse.

Defiantly the number 1 Golf Course within Bristol, Henbury is a challenging parkland course bordering the famous Blaize Castle estate, accuracy is defiantly the key to scoring well. Members and staff are very welcoming with a very well-equipped bar, the chef using only locally sourced ingredients ensures food of the highest quality. My guest pointed out "I didn’t know Golf Clubs served gourmet meals" . Well worth the visit just to savour the food.

Lovely course with many and varied trees. Will definitely come back to play it again.

Wonderful course!! Shame about some members lack of course etiquette ie: walking out from wood to the fairway middle of your swing and walking with a dog in the middle of fairway and talking etc.

Played a club social match at Henbury GC and the course was in fantastic condition. It had hosted a County match the day before and the Lady Captains Day on the day we played it. The post match meal was excellent and our hosts were great company and looked after us really well. Cannot wait until our next visit.

I love playing at Henbury Golf Club! The welcome is fantastic, from pro in shop to all the staff in the bar and restaurant. Challenging holes for all standards of players and always in top condition. Love the par 3 drop hole (7th). The food is second to none, I’ve never had a bad meal or service. Really is an excellent club!! Can’t wait to get a game again after lockdown!!

An established and well maintained golf club in the heart of Bristol. Suitable for all standards of player. With freindly staff and facilities of the highest standards. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

For a golf course so close to the city centre Henbury packs a lot into the space it has. The course is tight and rewarding those who are accurate rather than the long hitters. One of the highlights of the course is their very own Amen corner, the 6th (stroke index 1) is a tough par 4. The 7th is a brilliant par 3 with elevated tee leading down to a green guarded by water. Navigate the water lined 8th unscathed and you are set up for a good round. The clubhouse serves great gastro-pub style food along with a broad selection of beer and ciders, all can be enjoyed on the fantastic terrace with great views over the course. A day spent at Henbury Golf club is a day well spent.

Nice course. In REALLY GOOD condition in December given the amount of rain we've had. Only problem is that I was put in a 4-ball with a guy called Liam Bailey. I therefore struggled to concentrate on my golf because his eyes were so pretty.

New chef and bar manager at Henbury golf club Bristol. Wow, this is something different. Great food served with care, flair and style and a front of house manager who actually cares about her customers. Highly recommended in the difficult times.

Nice course, and would have got 4 stars had the customer experience not been very bad. We were charged £38 for a round on a Tuesday after 4pm. The delightfully cheerful pro then forgot to tell us that the green had recently been cord and were soft and very furry. In fact the first cut around the green were shorter than the greens themselves, which made putting pointless. He also forgot to mention that on 5 holes we had to play off mats. I really want to like this course but the experience in general has made me never want to play there again, thanks to the grumpy Scottish professional.

Course was in excellent condition for the time of year. Was very disappointed with the pace of play. We were behind a 4 ball that made us wait on every shot for a considerable time. As we were a 2 ball we should have been given the chance to play through. I would add that 2 charming lady members who were playing slowly immediatly offered us the opportunity which we gratefully took. Thanks Ladies
