We travelled from Derbyshire to see family, and as a couple who both love soul music, we thought we would visit this bar. We met Franz the owner; as we were travelling back the following day we only stayed for an hour. A fabulous place for soul music lovers. The walls reveal a history from Franz' past . His passion for soul music and pride in his bar is clearly evident. We hope the bar goes from strength to strength. We will revisit when we visit Plymouth in the future. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Franz has totally nailed the Camden vibe. Music is second to none and the whole feel of the bar is what you would expect in a major city private members club. One visit and I am hooked, have introduced my friends and they are now regulars also. To my mind the best bar/club in Devon.

Nice place, oddly quiet for 10pm on a Saturday. Nothing on tap only bottles and cans. Not too shabby otherwise

What an amazing place!Franz you and your mum must be proud what you achieved.And the doorman is so polite and very helpful I felt safe.The best bar in Plymouth and nobody can beat that!I could give you all the stars from the sky five is not enough!So cosy,clean and just beautiful I felt like I am at home and didn’t want to leave!Well done guys and I definitely will be back with more friends every time I go out I will be there for drink or two!The worst thing was to find out that you have this little gem from 2019 and I didn’t know nothing about it until 2023!Like I told you yesterday if you could have some nibbles I will be living there from Friday to Sunday.See you soon!

Outstanding atmosphere! The local on it is own it is design for just the style of music . Soul music 💓 different sources and through different times. I did enjoy it! The variations of alcohol drinks was huge and they even find one for me, Vanilla Rum 😋 Great place for sitting, and enjoying on your own , but this also great place to meat fantastic and interesting people ☺️

The polite and courteous doorman piqued my curiosity as I smoked outside (while visiting another venue),so had to investigate.... A simple and stylish interior enriched with unexpected details,the friendly,knowledgeable and charming barman recommended we had a strawberry and black pepper gin,the owner was interesting and clearly inspired as reflected in every detail. A memorable evening .

Great and relaxed atmosphere and had a nice lively buzz as the evening went on! This first visit was a couple of weeks ago but we enjoyed it so much we are going back tonight, yay! The owner was very welcoming and the staff friendly and efficient! X

Franz is such a great host and makes Club 27 a special place for a relaxed drink with friends. Lovely decor and the bar has a special feeling that makes you want to stay that extra bit longer.

Nice place to have a drink, when I and my mates turned up we had to sit in groups of 4, but when a group of 10 students turned up they were a loud to stand and sit together I left

First time going into Club 27 and was made to feel so welcome by Franz and customers. Would definitely recommend having a drink or two here. Love the atmosphere and decor! Will be back again very soon x

Great Bar keeps, fabulous music and an all around great venue

What a surprise ... Fantastic atmosphere, great music and friendly people. The owner is all hands on. Best night for a long time. Plymouth needs many more like this.
