A very welcome break walking the Wales Coastal Path today. Great drinks and yummy cake. Lovely friendly staff and a well stocked shop. See you on the next walk. Diolch

Having been a regular customer over many years with great experiences in the past today has been extremely disappointing. We waited so long we had to chase up our order twice and when it came the breakfast was cold and inedible. The staff lacked organisation We were not alone with these relections today sadly. We hope this is a one off as it is usually a pleasure to eat and drink here.

If you're driving through, it's definitely worth stopping by. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. Simple but filling. The menu doesn't change, so this works I it's favour of knowing what you're going to get. Lovely little shop attached too.

Lots of staff working, 99% doing nothing, 2 doing all the work, training your staff will help you serve customers. Over 1/2 an hour for 2 coffees ridiculous,

We actually stopped here twice - once going on holiday and once on the way back, 2 weeks later. Great food - cooked to order and very plentiful, as well as being reasoably priced. Staff are lovely and we enjoyed the artwork, plants for a donation and the tiny shop which hosts a multitude of treats, as well as basics. It also has a book section for new books and lots of second hand books for sale. The toilet facility supports water/toilets in Africa and there is also a child play area. It can get busy at the weekend but the food is worth the wait. My only regret was the novelty biscuits there on the way down were not there on the way back, so we missed out. An incredible little space and a real find that we intend to visit on our next trip to that part of Wales.

The breakfast was very expensive, it was a very small portion considering how expensive it was! It was also cold!!! We also ordered a jacket potato which was raw inside and tasteless which didn’t arrive until at least 10 mins after the rest of our food, we wanted to eat together as a family. We were stood waiting for a long time to get a table and the staffs customer service skills were shocking, very unorganised and rude. I won’t be coming here again and don’t recommend anyone else to either.

Perfectly positioned on the long drive to and from Pembrokeshire from Cumbria. Absolutely well worth pulling off the main road for an excellent coffe, with an amazing piece of home made cake to accompany it. Between two adults and three growing teenage boys we had two flat whites, and a luxury hot chocolate. From a good range of cakes, we chose chocolate brownie, Jaffa cake cake, chocolate cake, and carrot cake. Not a crumb was left by anyone, and it took all of our 16yr olds willpower not to lick the jaffa cake cake plate clean! An added bonus is that it is a community led enterprise so feels good to support by using. We will plan our journeys in the future around this cafe. Excellent.

Spotted this place as heading South on A427 after giving the very crowded market-day Machynlleth a miss. Very pleased we did. Great coffee and real tea. It was busy but lunch was served up very promptly by friendly staff. I had the days special which was a generous Frittata. After lunch went for a walk through the village, then returned later, after the crowd had gone, and had a desert of tea and scones. Would certainly stop here again.

Came across this little gem on way to Tenby, lovely community non profit cafe, didn’t eat but the food we saw coming from kitchen looked lovely!!! Real gem of a place👍

We were on a road trip in Wales when we saw the cafe on the side of the road. We pulled into the more than ample car park and you are faced with a beautiful modern building housing a cafe and local community shop. The service here is exemplary and having ordered two breakfasts, we were very surprised at the size of the portions and quality of produce. The staff were extremely happy and helpful and shopping for local produce which also helps the community is a brilliant idea. Thankyou and keep it up.

Stopped past here today, lovely building and great coffee. The guy served us within seconds of waiting was polite and charming. Hope to pass again and sit down for food.

We have called here a couple of times on our travels in Wales and always found the staff very friendly and helpful. We usually have a drink and snack and they have always been vey good. On this occasion we both had toasted sandwiches that were wellcooked and well filled. The ordinary tea is very tasty, as is the decaf tea. It has always been clean and the toilet facilities are excellent. We have only bought at the shop once but that was fine - well stocked and nice extras to the usual convenience store. The car parking is a little tight but understadable, as the available space is small. We have changed our regular stops to include Cletwr, as we find it has all we need. The second hand books are always worth a look too.

We went into the place thinking that it was going to be amazing as the reviews suggest, however, our experience was terrible. I ordered a tea that wasn’t tasting particularly great, it lacked flavor and I didn’t even finish it, also, I had to ask for another mug because mine was filthy and some lemon or honey for the tea that they couldn’t provide. My partner got a coffee that wasn’t great either. We wanted some food but it wasn’t really a lot of variety, nevertheless, I ordered a sausage sandwich with onion. I had to take it back and ask for a refund as the onion was presented in big chunks and it was raw, I got 2 mini sausages that were slightly undercooked. On the other hand, the staff was really nice and the shop inside was okay.

After making several attempts to find breakfast around Mach, we decided to try here. Nice coffee and our vegetarian breakfasts were delicious. Staff were friendly and polite. Lovely little shop to visit too.

This is a lovely community place serving excellent food and has good things for sale in the shop. It is full of local tourist information and second hand books for sale. They use local products. Clean toilets, Highly recommended.

A return visit was a joy as we discovered the doorstep sandwiches, wonderful. Great staff and coffee - loyalty card too.

Make sure you give this place a visit for a hearty breakfast or light bite. This is a gem of a place, friendly, hard working staff that take pride in what they do. Breakfast was full of flavour using quality ingredients and thoughtful presentation. Lovely setting and building design with choice of indoor or outdoor seating. Free cordial for kids and an indoor play area to keep them occupied. Good base for local walks. A credit to the community, well done.

I always think “how hard can it be to do a decent cooked breakfast”, but going on evidence, it’s generally too much hassle for most places. This breakfast tastes like someone cared, a lot. The bacon and sausages are local, and very tasty. The black pudding is oaty and tasty, not the slimey slab most places dish up. Even the hash brown had a little something; a slightly peppery taste. Thick buttery toast. Very much worth a visit! It is sometimes a fine line between acceptable and lovely cooked breakfasts and this is definitely the latter!

Polite, friendly staff working hard. I had a vegetarian breakfast which was the best I have ever eaten. My husband had a meat breakfast which he said was fabulous. Nice break in our 4 hour journey.

Such a lovely welcome, you can tell it’s run by people who really care. They are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The food and drink is very good and there are lots of additional services like plant swap and second hand books....

Cletwr a small community with much to offer a visitor. An excellent community shop and cafe open seven days a week in a new purpose built premises. An interesting walk along the river cletwr to the Dyfi estuary, wear sensible footwear.

OMG; all the food, soups, cakes etc are made fresh on site by dedicated staff and volunteers DAILY.

We've driven past here a few times but actually had time to stop. What a lovely place, the shop caters for all sorts and the cafe is so clean. We only had time for coffee & cake but well worth it. The staff are so friendly and I love the fact that as soon as a table is empty they pounce on it to clear and clean it so there's no sitting down to leftovers and dirty dishes. I'm sure this will now become a favourite place when in that area. Well done to all involved!

We stopped here for a family lunch after a walk at Borth beach last winter. Friendly staff - run by the local community - a fairly good menu choice for a small cafe, lovely interior. Recommend the veggie breakfast!

We saw this cafe while driving past and found it very welcome..went there for brunch the next day and loved it.. lovely interior... A little corner for kids to play. My 6 year old enjoyed playing while we enjoyed a lovely vegan brunch. Will surely visit again and recommend to all my friends and family when they visit Snowdonia.

Nicely situated just on the main this was a convenient pit stop. Very pleasant staff with a good shop within it. Only moan was the limited choice of cakes - Russian slices only.

What a lovely surprise this was. Just off the main road, community run and the best sandwich and coffee we have had in ages. A lovely welcome from the volunteer ladies who run the cafe just made it the perfect pit stop. Highly recommend if you are passing, but actually this place is good enough to make a drive worthwhile

A nice, child-friendly cafe with quite a posh farm shop adjoining it. We had the all-day breakfasts and some delicious rocky road, whilst our children enjoyed the play area. My only complaints would be that the waitress flatly refused to swap my fried egg for a scrambled/poached one without charging extra, which seemed a bit mean, and they could have been quicker at clearing the tables between courses. The place is nice though, and definitely an asset to the area. We’ll go back.

Needs to concentrate on accessibility for the Visually Impaired. I was made to feel difficult. Boards should have menus in bold print not ye olde fashioned twiddly writing.

A very child friendly place with a dedicated area for under 5s to play. We had good food and service and will definitely be calling again. Easy to find at the side of the road but only serves things like soup, sandwiches, paninis and ploughmans lunchtime.

Lovely looking place and great menu BUT all I wanted was a ham salad which was not on the menu and it was like I’d asked for diamonds on toast!!!! Was blatantly told NO! I had to pay for a full ploughman’s lunch wich had no cheese, no pickle and no bread! A small salad and 2 slices of ham and I had to pay full whack!!! Not impressed with there customer service at all!!! What a shame someone doesn’t know what there doing there! Was made to look like I had 2 heads because I can’t eat bread and cheese as I have a medical problem‍♀️

We've stopped off at the old cafe/shop on many occasions,this was our first visit to the new building. I think it's fantastic what a community can achieve. The cafe was fab,coffee and food great. Great selection in the shop. Lovely clean loos, they even have a electric recharging point for cars.

We have driven past this new building for a while now and d3cided to pop in fo4 a coffee and a panini . The building was nice, clean and well laid out. I ordered a coffee and a bacon und egg panini. I was told we don’t do fried eggs but I could have scrambled! I just ordered a plain bacon one. When it arrived the coffee was rather weak and the were just two half rasher of bacon that did not even cover the base of the panini. It was ok but rather ordinary both made me think things are done on the cheap. I doubt If we would go back as there are other options with better quality and quantity.

We’ve popped into the community shop and cafe for a number of years and enjoyed our refreshments in the old building. But what a change!!

It looked busy but we were server in a very short time. It was friendly, airy and spotlessly clean.

We visited Cletwr for the first time at lunchtime today, and for the second time three hours later. Its a real credit to all those who have worked hard to make it all happen. Many visitors probably have not read the story on the website and we would advise anyone writing a review should read the story first.

We have visited the shop and cafe Cletwr many times when it was housed in a large old converted shed. It was friendly, relaxed, served good coffee, home-baked cakes and lunches; sold an excellent range of local produce in the shop; and best of all, let dogs accompany their owners inside, which in the frequently wet windy weather you get out of season (and in season) in west Wales, is a wonderful bonus.

Visited ths wonderful welcoming cafe on several occasions on our weeks holiday. Hot homemade soup most welcome on a particularly damp day. Fanstatic to be able to use wifi and not feel rushed. Cafe used by locals and has a real community feel. Bara brith was my favourite .

We often drive past but today was the first time we stopped for lunch. Lovely new building, lovely food with friendly service and very reasonably priced. We liked the fact that local produce is used where possible and I also noticed that the children's menu - little plates for little people - offered smaller portions from the main menu. No frozen nuggets or E numbers here, just good healthy food. Well done to this community-run café and shop!

walked in at 2.32pm, the lady behind the counter whipped the menu boards down advising they stopped serving at 2.30! We're not even offered a coffee. Very disappointed and will not visit again even though we pass on a regular basis.
