I’ve used this takeaway a number of times during the pandemic and have always been pleased. However, the latest delivery was another story: They do a dish called ‘Nawabi’ that is supposed to be Chicken tikka wrapped with minced meat, shallow fried, served in a slightly spicy bhuna sauce. I’ve eaten it before and really enjoyed it. This time, there was no chicken tikka in the meatballs and so hot with chilli that I couldn’t eat it. Additionally, my partner’s Mixed meat pasanda included prawns – I’m not sure who would consider this ‘meat’. Fortunately, she does not have a seafood allergy, but the dish wasn’t entirely pleasant. It’s a pity, I’d enjoyed the food before.

Placed an order for two chicken balti, 3x naan, boiled rice chips the whole order had no temperature, it was like I'd got it out the fridge, the balti may as well have been a tomato batli as it had more tomato than anything else, the chips were solid, the rice had clumps as it was that cold. Won't be ordering again!

We drove all the way to Birmingham for a family outing, hoping to enjoy some quality time together over a desi breakfast. After some search, we found Chaska Chai for a desi breakfast. This place did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in, Chacha Jee greeted us with such warmth and kindness that we instantly felt at home. The food was delicious: halwa puri, tarka saag, haleem… chai to name a few dishes —just the kind of authentic flavors we were craving—but what really made our brunch special was Chacha Jee himself. His friendliness and genuine care turned a good meal into a great experience. If you’re in the mood for tasty food and a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend Chaska Chai. It’s definitely worth the drive!
