Ace delicious so tasty the best ,

The hot food was wet due to condensation from heat retaining bag used. Ice cream had been melted and refrozen and worst of all the sell by date on it was May,3 months out of date. Truely awful experience.

Did not appricaite clearly reheated food with dry meat that tasted like it was days old. Even the chips were bone dry and cold. Appalling Food quality.

When phone restaurant they were rude, food had spilt all in the bag, they had forgotten items and it wasn’t hot either

NOT one piece of pineapple in the meal, this is one of the key ingredients of a Malayan Biryani. Very disappointing because the meal was otherwise of good quality.

Food was cold once arrived and had missing items, shop did not answer the phone after numerous times calling. Will not order again.

Took 25 minutes to deliver from 5 minutes away, the first sign of trouble. I had chicken tikka, naan and chips. Chicken was chewy and tasteless, chips were almost inedible. I asked for chilli sauce but what came was some sort of slimey sweet stuff. The salad was so sad it looked days old. The naan was ok, couldn't eat the rest. Awful.

Yet again the order was all smashed in the bag and all curry's leaked together curry leaking out the bag was even sent from a different curry house we ordered from miles away from our house so impossible to drive to to get replacement order how can this even be correct and person on the phone very unhelpful this is the second time this has happened in the last three orders just eat need to deal with this restaurant ASAP.

Food was fairly cool when it got to us, swimming in oil and missing the rice to go with our curry and when I phoned up he said he’d rather give me a refund than send it out as I live too far (I don’t) Very disappointed and probably won’t order from them again.

Quite possibly the worst curry.  Not only did it take an hour and a half to turn up.  It was only luke warm when we received it and the order was incorrect, (received Jalfrezi instead of Tikka) swimming in oil.  Had trouble in the past but hoped, as it was a quiet night, the order would be good. Won't be bothering again....

One of the curry lids had popped open an leaked everywhere.

Food was very tasty but the korma had a streak of ink at the top from the writing on the card as it had sunken but apart from that it was lovely

I am not impressed at all. The delivery man was very rude to me and my mum whiles we was giving him directions and he was 20 minutes late and I want a refund. It was appalling😑

Had food from here a few times now, always really good quality food and always hot. Delivered on time every time too. Very friendly delivery driver.

My food took 2 hours to come. Which then led to my whole order being cold not one piece of food was even at a warm temperature not happy at all with my order.

Both curry's were tasted like sugar water . I ordered shahi Paneer and chicken Tikka masala. Needs lot of improvement.

Absolutely Disgusted! This will be the last time I order from here. Keema naan had plastic wrap/cling film cooked inside of it. It was only found once my partner had bitten into it. Not acceptable at all.

Food was good but wouldn’t order again. Had to call the restaurant 3 times because the food was late. First time the person on the phone told me the driver should be there any moment, 10 minutes later the food still hadnt arrived, called a 2nd time they answered and instantly hung up again. The 3rd time whilst on the phone the food finally came. But between the food not arriving until an hour and a half after ordering and the communication its just too much hassle.

Delivery took 1 hour and 47 minutes when predicted 1 and 10. Food was cold, poor quality and taste was really bad. DO NOT ORDER DROM HERE. BAD SERVICE BAD FOOD.

Missed paid items off my total order - I am yet to be refunded! Carrier bag food was packaged in was filled with oil which was dripping when through the bag when delivered. Food cold & greasy.

Delivered the food 1 WHOLE DAY earlier than scheduled for, said they would deliver the food at the correct day & time after I rang up, I did not receive the food at the scheduled time and on speaking to the staff they tired to put the blame on me, and told me they would not Send the food out.

The CURRY I've ordered was so bad.. I've never tasted it in my life so bad and for the biryani party it's OK.. I wouldn't say extraordinary but ok.. don't try curries from this restaurant🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮

Worse service ever. Food was below average. Had to walk 5 mins from the place to collect the order and there were oil spillage all over the package. Delivery man was very rude and was accusing me of giving wrong address. Had my lesson learnt, never in my life going to order anything from here.

Been ordering from here for 11 years. Used to be great but now a two hour wait for food, despite living two minutes away and its stone cold. Its a shame as the food is nice when it's hot. I'm giving up.

They forgot my poppadoms, gave me the wrong naans, didn't care it was late and were rude over the phone I order from here often I don't know what's wrong with the service tonight but it was terrible. Also the madras wasn't even spicy it was like a puddle of oil.

I didn’t even receive the food and it says it was delivered. Either they didn’t deliver at all or they didn’t have the competence to ask the person who I’m assuming took the food proof it was theirs.

Food was delicious as always. However it ended up being very late because they messed up my order and made it with chicken in stead of paneer (I don't eat meat). They did resolve it to be fair to them and brought me the correct curry. All in all not a perfect evening but food was very good.

Had to call the restaurant 2x to chase up the order. It was however fresh when it arrived and tasty.

Delicious food every time. Having been customers for a few years now, we know the food will take a while to arrive and make sure to order early. Today, food arrived much quicker than expected! Oil had leaked out of the boxes though so a bit messy unloading food from the bag. Overall, we are happy customers and will continue to use Clay Oven 👍

Terrible, food ordered at 7.10pm, still waiting for delivery at 9pm. Called restaurant, they reckon food was dispatched but can't tell me what time. Total scammers, I don't think they've actually prepared, cooked or sent my food. Avoid avoid avoid

Awful two and a half hours delay cold tasteless absolutely awful

My food still hasn’t arrived and it’s been over an hour. When I called the shop they sounded quite rude and told me 20 minutes and 30 minutes later still no food. I phoned again and they said another 20 minutes. At this point it’s not even worth it.

Owner called and said that we are supposed to go to different restaurants to collect food some of these restaurants are the opposite side of town this is terrible customer service as I order the food online for my mother in law who is unable to travel this far and she can not travel across the city to collect, the shop solution was to just cancel the order after a lot of angry exchanges the worker agreed to deliver but I don’t think we will ever use this place again as this is not what is advertised if we had been made aware of this then we would have gone else where

Delivered approx 5 mins late. We were disappointed they didn't read our comments/request to them within the notes section when we ordered. However the food was lovely and we really enjoyed it.

Ordered via just eat. Got to the deadline and was asked how our food was when we hadn’t even received it. Called and it would be 20 minutes. 45 minutes pass and still no food. Got a text saying it was on the way and another half an hour and still no food. Phone call to say he was outside but he wasn’t and wouldn’t answer the phone again. Heavily pregnant with a child in the house and we waited over 2 hours for food. Absolutely disgusting. Will not be ordering again.

Food was absolutely amazing. definitely one of the best tasting indians in coventry. delivery time was not great . was pushed back twice, and had too use the app to see where my order was, which added another 10m, when driver arrived he was friendly and apologetic. i could see there was a car full so looks like it was done on restaurant close which is understandable, i have had deliveries before that were bang on so don’t let this put you off just don’t order near closing would be my advice. regular updates from restaurant, but over all i’d order again. would just prefer a realistic delivery time and i’d of been happy to wait, thanks!

First ever time ordering and oh my lord it was amazing!!! Ordered just before closing food was fresh and pipping hot the only down side was my mango chutney spilt every where in the bag

Food is great but, once again, £40 order packed into a single bag so cartons at bottom get crushed and leak everywhere. Sort out the packaging please. It doesn’t have to go in a single bag!

Ordered from Clay Lane only to find out they are operating from Balti Hut in Earlsdon. Just eat said the delivery was on its way at 8.45 I called the takeaway at 9.05 where I was told the food had still not left. Food took over 2 hours to come ridiculous.

Your excellent food is being let down badly by your packaging. I’ve left a note time and again to say you are packing too much into a single bag. The food at the bottom is always crushed and leaking badly. Please sort it out!!!
