The food was cold and couldn't eat 1 thing of it , a complete waste of money

The old man in cash counter is very rude and not professional. Won’t like to make purchases anymore.

We tried couple of snacks like Golgappe, Papadi chat and Chole bhature in main course food. Golgappe is good but there was hardly any papdi in papdi chat and yogurt was also not fresh. Chole Bhature was ok but again chole sabzi was like general homemade taste with no taste and feel of traditional black chole.

Samosas were amazing , chips were nice but then the chicken curry was like flavoured water with chicken in not a curry at all

We had some veggie samosas and some paneer spring rolls pretty good. However do NOT get the sauce. It's just water man. The sweets were disgusting. Go here for certain items. They are pretty cheap.

I went in for a takeaway after it was recommended by a colleague and straight away the service from a mature guy was awful. I ordered my takeaway and when I got home, I was very disappointed with my chicken saag which looked like spinach water sauce

The food was horrible and customer service is also terrible. I tried other many places of India food , this was the worst experience i had in my life . Don’t go by seeing the restaurant seating or it looks good but their food is not good at all and service also . They were not giving attention to customer at all . Worst worst Experience……………….!

I ordered food to be delivered from standard sweet centre via the deliveroo app. The food is usually okay, but the bag they pack it in is flimsy. You can't pick it up by the handles. It breaks. The deliveroo delivery man rang my door and when I opened it the bag was broken and some of the food spilled. I rang the restaurant for a refund. They blamed the delivery man and not themselves. I explained that the bags they pack the food in are flimsy. So not his fault but theirs. No way was she giving me a refund. I would not recommend this restaurant for service or politeness. Deliveroo refunded me the money. But I would never recommend this restaurant again. Very disappointed

Pedido comida para una fiesta de 15 , samosa & bhajis fantástico. No se notaba la diferencia entre el balti y el tikka Marsala. Con ambos curry’s la salsa era del mismo color y ambos sabían igual. Qué pena que el servicio al cliente era fabuloso.

First & last time coming to this place. Nothing was fresh, everything was at least a day old or frozen. Only the Ribena was ok. We ate in, please tell me why I have to go to the counter to collect my food on a tray like I'm having a school lunch. I would avoid this place.

Best samosas in Coventry! Lovely variety of curries and sides to choose from including chicken tikka, pakoras and bhaturas. They have a great selection of sweets available (they do catering for events so can buy by the bulk). A decent seating area available as well if you want to do so. Try their masala chai!

Shocking service. Got our order wrong and missed some items from our order. Order came freezing cold and took around 1 hour for delivery. Called the restaurant 33 times and no answer so eventually gave up. Waste of money 🤯

A lovely place with a great selection of food. I recently purchased the lamb, chicken, and vegetable samosas, and was particularly impressed with the pastry — it had a fantastic crunch and texture. The vegetable samosas had a pleasant heat, adding a nice kick. While the lamb and chicken could use a bit more seasoning, the overall quality was still excellent. I look forward to trying more menu options in the future, Also great sweets. Still confused why the owner always looks sad and upset pity guy.

I had an absolutely terrible experience at this restaurant due to shockingly bad customer service. The girl working at the till had an awful attitude, treating customers with blatant disrespect. She wasn’t just rude to me—she gave everyone unpleasant looks, talked back to customers, and made us all feel uncomfortable. We are paying customers, not getting served for free, and deserve to be treated with basic respect. To make matters worse, I was offered food without any spoon or forks, and when I asked for them, she rudely responded, "Come and take it." I was shocked. What’s even more disappointing is that they don't wear hand gloves or chef hats while preparing or serving food to customers. This lack of hygiene is unacceptable. I’m stunned that a reputable restaurant would hire someone with such poor manners and unprofessional behavior. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had, and I will never return to this place again. There are plenty of other options for Indian restaurants in Coventry, and I would highly recommend exploring those instead. I hope the restaurant takes necessary action to uphold its reputation.

Brilliant driver who went above and beyond

Staff are very arrogant and smirk at the customers the old man has the speed of a sleuth they are rude to customers of a different ethnic group there's a name for this without the customers you wouldn't have a business should leave there predice at home remember it's a business not personal.

I had lunch from this restaurant and it was a disappointing due to the following: 1) Staff was not paying attention to me despite me waiting in front of counter. Staff needs to improve. 2) This place has few tables. Tables are not cleaned after customer leaves leaving them with left over food. So, we have limited options while picking a clean table. 3) I ordered balti chicken and chilly coriander naan. Balti chicken was poor. I just wanted to leave after seeing the sad state of the restaurant. Please go for take aways, I won't recommend dine in on the premises of the restaurant.

I went there on Friday as my brother lives in a care home nearby. He has advanced dementia and finds it very difficult to walk and sit. The coffee was nice and my brother enjoyed the cakes. My brother finds it difficult to coordinate himself; I found it impossible to help him sit down at the table… I just about managed, although he was quite far away from the table…people could see my struggle but did not offer any assistance. The worst part was when we were leaving ( again staff and customers were watching) I could not manage to get him out of the chair ( he is heavy) not one person helped… what happened to a bit of human kindness? After some time struggling, I had to call the carer and he rushed to our aid… thank you Ali from Aspect Court…

Will never order back from here. Ordered via Uber eats - Aloo paratha, bhatura, roti and mattar paneer. One of the worst experience I had in coventry. Food was too oily and salty. Roti and aloo paratha was very salty and mattar paneer was low in portion size and of not the best quality. Bhatura was flat and drenched in some odd flavoured oil. Really upset on the money spent for dinner. Will never recommend for anyone.

I recently visited this establishment and unfortunately, had an unpleasant experience with one of the staff members. The individual in question, who appeared to be of Indian descent, exhibited a dismissive attitude towards customers who were not of the same background. Her behavior was unprofessional, and she did not demonstrate the customer service skills one would expect in a retail environment. It was disappointing to encounter such a lack of courtesy, as customer service is a key component of any business. I would strongly suggest that management provide additional training to ensure that all customers are treated with respect and fairness, regardless of their background. This will not only improve the customer experience but also enhance the reputation of the shop. This version of the review communicates your concerns clearly without being offensive or disrespectful.

Never delivered the order, called restaurant and told it had been collected

I have been going to this family business for over 15yrs, the lamb and saag curry is the best! also i would also recommend the veg and lamb samosa.

1. Food portion size was very less. We ordered chole bhature but the bhature was flat and chole was without any seasoning. 2. Service was pathetic as the lady on the counter wearing black top was very rude. No smile at all. Didn’t serve us on the table but looked me in the eye and then looked on the food so the I pick the food myself. 3. Horrible atmosphere as I told them to turn on the ac as it was boiling hot but they said they will turn it on in the afternoon. Never go there again and would advise everyone to please don’t go there. Instead visit royal punjab dhaba or stargrill.

We had samosa chat Mango lassi and veg pakora, didn’t enjoy at all. Couldn’t able to finish even 1 pakora out of 4. Lassi was just mixture of water. It made us realise that Don’t judge book by its cover. Seems very good from outside but the food is the worst.

really disappointed. The Samosas were really greasy, the tamarind sauce that accompanies them was nothing like the one you get in the day time as a walk in customer. The lamb balti was nice but the chicken tikka masala and the chicken curry were abismol. My daughter couldn't eat the tikka masala as it was too spicy and too salty. Waste of money no quality on food

Ordered a load of lamb & veg samosas and veg pakoras for my daughters 21st birthday party and they went down a storm! Everyone loved them and at least 5 people descibed them to me as 'banging'! Would definitely order again 👍

There was no chutney with the order. When I collect my orders there is always chutney with my food.

Took out some sweets one couple of occasions. Both times the sweets were stale. Badhusha, ladoos were not fresh and tasted very average. Kaju katli was ok. Spring rolls and samosas were good though, but very disappointed with the sweets.

Went about 2 pm yesterday. Service better No point upgrading look inside if food has deteriorated. Went for papri chaat. AWFUL!!! The imlie chutney was all brown water poured on - no taste no seasoning . Less than teaspoon of yoghurt . Papri was very stale and very hard. I had about three spoonfuls. It looked like my dog had been sick ! Disgusting. I did tell the woman that served me it was awful . She apologised. I passed her the dog sick. Sad to see how far the business has sunk . Not bothered with standards anymore. Shame - it used to be so lovely. Standard Stale Foods Don’t waste ur money.
