Civerinos Slice PROMSLICE in Edinburgh, City of

El servicio del sábado por la noche fue la hospitalidad más atroz que he experimentado en Edimburgo. Era un día precioso el sábado, así que comprensiblemente había una larga fila en Civerinos. Esperé 1 hora para ser servido, y había escuchado a otros en la cola diciendo que una vez que te han servido es una espera de 15-20 minutos. Entendí que iba a haber un retraso, pero me pareció bien, ya que había disfrutado de la comida de Civerinos. Una vez servida esperé 40 minutos, con órdenes esporádicamente gritadas sin estructura ni orden real. Tuve suficiente y fui a preguntarle a la jovencita que daba las órdenes qué seguía esperando 92. Resulta que 92 estaba listo, y había estado esperando en el mostrador. Mi pizza estaba fría y las patatas fritas eran mediocres. Es decepcionante lo pobre que era este servicio, ya que Civerinos era generalmente mi visita, ya sea la tienda Portobello o uno en Edimburgo. Seguro decir que no volveré.

Servicio lento. Tardaron el triple de tiempo de espera. Pizza también se equivocó y no pidió nada en fichas y le pusieron romero. Bastante molesto. Más de una hora esperando una pizza.

La pizza estaba fría y la base era sólida. Mi hijo incluso dijo que no quería el suyo porque era demasiado difícil. Realmente es tan sobrevalorado y caro. Chips y bocados de macarrones eran decentes. Aunque muy salado.

fabulosa pizza y patatas fritas de romero y sal marina. Gran porción y precios razonables. Muy ocupado pero vale la pena como orden caliente y recién cocinado. Sólo una cosita para tener en cuenta. El personal está vigilado por todos los clientes que esperan, así que por favor cuiden a sus amigos de higiene. Presenció que el personal tosía en la mano varias veces pero no se lavaba.

We love Civerinos - always a great atmosphere, delicious pizza and lovely staff. We tend to visit for a slice in central Edinburgh, near the meadows, but the Portobello beach set-up is also well worth the visit - come rain or shine!

The pizza slices used to be good, now clearly made in advance & reheated, resulting in a dry over crispy slice of pizza, such a pity, on the plus side, no huge queues anymore

For years I would tell people how Civerinos was the best Pizza in Edinburgh, and if you are lucky it can be. However the Civerinos Alice on the Portobello prom is so terribly inconsistent I will never purchase from there again. This review is based on my last three visits to this establishment. The first two times the Pizza slices were dry, lacked cheese and tomato base. This was to the point that we couldn’t even finish the slices. It was so busy we didn’t feel that we could ask for the slices to be changed. The chips were very good though. We then visited again in January 2024 and again one of the slices was extremely dry. This time it was not so busy so we ask for a replacement, which we were given but the server didn’t seem pleased that we asked. On this occasion the chips were so over salted that they were inedible. Due to already having to ask for another slice of pizza we just left the chips. It’s a real shame as this would have been a 5/5 review if they had been producing the food to the level I know they can.

I used to love Civerinos pizza, but recently I have been very disappointed by the quality of food. Also most our orders have arrived incomplete..such a disappointment

Pizza always fantastic from Civerinos - hot, full of flavour, and not greasy or stodgy at all. Sides are very good too, especially the garlic crust bites. New additions and changes to the menu quite frequently so always something new to try. Great view to sit and eat, usually a bit of a wait which is testament to how popular it is. Also travels very well for delivery.

Went with my wife after work and they staff really work hard, they overall wait was about 15 minutes and food was amazing!

Waited 45 mins in que to order then another 25 for one pizza and one portion of chips. Extra £ for ranch dip which was awful. A LOT of the pizzas came out burnt, litter everywhere, not enough staff to deal with a hot Saturday, they had no one cleaning tables. All staff uniforms dirty and not just with flour/ pizza sauce as you would expect. One young man stood next to the corner of the arcade next door, in filthy trainers, trousers,top and filthy hand towel tucked into his trousers/ apron and was smoking, not a good look. Think management need to come and see the peak times and how it’s working (or not) . Think it’s gone downhill, it’s not living up to the name at all. Such a shame. Staff were by the way very friendly and hardworking, just looked like they have been failed by management or team lead.

Aweful. Staff obviously thought it funny to replace fresh chilli with ridiculous amount of dried chilli flakes which made pizza inedible! Bad attitude from staff. Avoid at all costs

Pizzas are actually delicious! There are 3 sizes: slice (quite large), medium (normal pizza) and big (big one to share). You order, and then go take a seat, or sit on the beach! For an order of minumum 50 pounds, you get a free log and fire - so there are quite a few on the beach and it brings a very nice atmosphere. They made a mistake with my pizza but customer service was very good - hence still a five stars.

£3 for a can of juice? Genuinely daylight robbery. Even £2 is a complete rip off, but for some reason Civernos think a 500% profit margin on a can of juice is acceptable. You don't even get charged this much in expensive restaurants in town. Absolutely mental prices.

Have been here lots since it opened but the last 2 visits has been disappointing. Smaller slices, burnt on the bottom. Chips are always good but used to come with a dip, now you have to pay for one. Have heard the one in town is much better.

Good pizza , expensive ( like much in the area) but fine. There was a really big queue but we didn’t have to wait too long . The pizza was tasty and hot and staff friendly. The only letdown was the tables where filthy, you did well to get one so you could sit nearby but then they never got cleaned or the floor swept giving a grubby appearance which was a letdown.

We got pizza n chips £8 cool but my daughter who is 10yr old asked for a can of juice £3!!!! She only had £2 you would think they would have let her off £1 considering the lad was giving away leftovers to teens walking past n there behaviour wasn't acceptable for my daughter to see!!!!

Not great, over priced and over rated. There are tons of better pizza places in the Lothians. This is ranked an awful lot higher than it should be in my opinion. Very Domino esk, but more expensive and not as good. I don't even like Dominos!

30 minutes to place order then 20 minutes for the pizza. Either get a grip or get more staff. On the good side pizzas are tasty,bit over priced but as stated very nice pizza

Waited over half an hour for our food while many other customers who had ordered after us had all received theirs. After a very long wait I asked the staff if our order had gone in, they took the order number but then after a few minutes never came back to confirm if the food was on the way or not so we needed to ask again. When we finally got the pizza after more than half an hour we then still had to wait even longer for our fries while my sad three year old asked if it was her turn yet seeing everyone who ordered after us had their food. I understand they were busy and it can take longer for a whole pizza rather than slices but it was really just a bit rubbish and we could surely have had the side order for our sad cold kids. I had even asked the staff if they'd reccomend we get a whole pizza or slices, as a bit of constructive feedback if the wait for a whole pizza is so much longer they could let customers know this on ordering and a bit of friendly communication would have helped so much. I reccomend avoiding getting a whole pizza, just get a few slices instead! The food is nice but it wasn't worth the wait
