A decent place to get some food if you are at Nottm City hospital.

Strange layout. Get served food then you have to go to till to pay. You get takeaway cup and condiments before going back to use coffee machine and then go past till again.

For a hospital restaurant and cafe this isnt too bad. Food is well made and of a reasonably good quality. Plenty of offerings for all meal types and dietary requirements. Prices are good (could be cheaper) for what you get. Plenty of table space. Mix of both staff, visitors and patients eat here so atmosphere is always busy.

Nice breakfast options and reasonable prices. Really liked that hospital staff are charged less than us the general public

Quick simple tasty drinks out of machine a bit naff

Staff friendly and helpful (and patient with old duffers like me). Food typical of hospital restaurant meals, they are simple, staightforward and I love them. Especially the fried breakfast - there was fried bread! And it was good fried bread. Lunchtime chips good too.

I arrived too early at the hospital for surgery, so I decided to have breakfast at the restaurant here. There weren't many food options, so I chose five items from the menu. I ended up selecting two portions of bacon since there weren't many choices. Among the food, I particularly enjoyed the deep-fried potato cubes; they were delicious.

Good, nutritional tasty food and a varied selection to choose from. Friendly staff. As it's a hospital it's probably not the right atmosphere to take someone on a first date. For people visiting patients, it gives you a chance to recharge your own batteries in a non-clinic environment.

Went for our first breakfast today while waiting test results. Had the seven item breakfast for the grand price of £3.53, plus a good size latté for £2.10. Quality was perfectly acceptable, and how people can say it's overpriced at that is beyond belief. Looking forward to the next one.

The food quality and taste was awful, will not be using again.

Staff never seem organised in there , very snappy attitude , very nousey atmosphere.

Not impressed at all with this restaurant. We entered to be totally bamboozled with the layout. Breakfast was still being served so chose that. Bacon incredibly fatty, sausages insipid and toast could not be located. My wife wanted a toasted tea cake. She was informed they did not do them yet we pointed out to the lady, a menu with toasted tea cake on it. She looked shocked but no tea cake appeared. I had in my possession, a form allowing me as a patient free meals with I stayed at the hospital hotel. Again another lady had never seen one of these forms before. She disappeared to find out if my form was acceptable, returned with a positive. Sadly she kept the form as it had 4 days written on it so I had to ask my clinic for another form but we did not use this restaurant again.

Not been for a while but have always had lovely meals that reminded me of school meals (yes, that's a good thing).

Excellent place to eat at the city hospital, hot food and light meals, used by staff, patients and visitors, very reasonably priced. Spaced seating, sanitiser and masks available, Co vid friendly.

Overpriced and over-cooked. Small selection of food and not very large portions. Closes too early in the afternoon. Very cold seating area. The only items worth paying for are jacket potatoes. Friendly staff.

Food ok, quorn sausage a bit anemic! Sat near fire exit everyone using as normal exit. Staff very friendly. Building outside and in VERY tired in much need of restitution.

The food is excellent all cooked fresh and mostly healthy options, they open early and close around 2.30 so be aware, if you work at the hospital it is cheaper money wise, however I found the cleaning in certain areas could be vastly improved .

Also situated in the City Hospital, the food is very good and at reasonable prices, I would recommend it if you are visiting somebody to go in and try a meal, you will not be disappointed.

Awful over priced poorly cooked cheap food with unqualified staff with poor hygiene. Absolutely disgusting place. Location is good as you will need the hospital after eating there. After the basic food hygiene rules broken inforont of me I was terrified to eat there.

Food here is tasty though it's self serve canteen style. Discount for NUH staff. Not cheapest place to eat out but food nutritious and usually generous portions. Careful of extra veg on a dinner though as it can add ££ if not lbs

Freshly cooked food, at a reasonable price if you were visiting someone in the hospital and comparing it to, say, a mid range pub food chain. But don't expect the same range, although aways a well thought out vegie option. Got to say, there are some strange pricing strategies :a baked potato with tuna cheese and a salad would cost more than a "proper" meal. This used to be a hospital canteen, open long hours to serve staff, but is now "rebranded". Yes the food is better and fresher, but is more expensive, with restricted opening times, not helpful if an emergency crops up and you work through lunch time. There are other snacks available in the hospital, however. But staff rooms now have bigger fridges to cope with more staff bringing in their own food....

Its ok but take plenty of cash as the prices are a bit pricey

I put 2 coffee sachets in two cups added hot water ie no service blymi costs £3,40 🤔 foods all on display but can't have any ?? Waiting for staff change over you couldn't invent it !!,

Staff friendly and cheerful, but food no better than the average NHS canteen. Snack bars and other prepackaged items generally pricier than my (non subsidised) work canteen.
