Outstanding food, impeccable unhurried service.

Good food ruined by poor service. I was lucky enough to go as part of a corporate group so no damage to my wallet but I must say the experience was deeply disappointing. The evening broke down into a few areas. The views are stunning. We struggled to get a drink before the meal began despite multiple requests. Canapés were brought round which were lovely but when asking what they were the waiters didn't know.. Starter - beef tartare and delicious Main - Steak and chips but the sauce arrived late and the majority of the party had finished their meal before it arrived. Dessert - Chocolate pudding with a mandarin sorbet - again delicious. Such a shame the experience was ruined by such bad service

Bland, bland, bland. We have been to many Michelin starred restaurants so our expectations were pretty high. Unfortunately, this restaurant did not live up to its star. All the food was extremely bland and boring. The staff were not very knowledgeable and came across like they were reps on a sales pitch. We told the manager (or who we thought was) and he just said he would tell the chef and nothing else. Not worth the money, or the star. I’m very surprised it even has one. I would not recommend. Only thing good about this place is the view and setting.

City Social offers a stunning dining experience with breathtaking views of London. The food is beautifully presented and tastes fantastic, though the portions are on the smaller side, especially considering the high price. Service is excellent, and the ambiance is refined, making it ideal for special occasions. Overall, a 4.5-star experience – a bit pricey, but worth it for the quality and setting.

I rarely give 5 stars because I believe that’s reserved for places where everything is perfect, which is almost impossible! 😄 The staff were professional, and the food was great. However, the dessert portion was disappointingly small—it felt like a joke! But the taste was spot on. The view, especially of the Gherkin, was stunning.

Visited this restaurant on 4th of October . Unfortunately it was very disappointing . Food was below average . Desserts were especially sad . Wine was ok . Service was really bad - during whole evening I tried to find waiters, looking around , but they were always busy with something , so it was difficult to attract their attention . Clearly it is not the level you would expect from Michelin rated restaurant.

Great views Tables need a better clean.

Unfortunately it was a disappointing evening. I found the wine selection although very broad over priced in most cases and have had the same wines in other leading restaurants for much less. I ordered a steak, which was a mistake, I asked for medium rare and got a scorched steak which was cold in the middle, clearly straight from the fridge. I pointed this out .. and it was taken back and warmed up, so which I received and even more burnt but at least warm pieces of meat back, I would have expected a new plate and steak. By the time the burnt meat was returned the sauces and sides were also cold. The already split and greasy tasteless “béarnaise” was even worse cold and the runny pepper sauce inedible. This was a return visit after a previously delightful evening, but this will be my last visit. This could have been all addressed when paying the bill, and after waiting 15mins to pay, was not offered any sort of compensation for a shocking bad experience for such a restaurant

Had a business meeting. We were well on time at 13-00. Firstly the waiter didn’t understand our English while I always give discount as it’s not my originally first language but my counterpart is American living all his life in London. Secondly our starters arrived 13-51 and I had to ask what was going on. Both of us were limited by time to a normal 1.5h lunch window. Our mains were rushed around 14-15 after which I started asking the bill. The desserts were included into the business lunch we opted for so she decided to rush them and presented them together with the bill. There was not even a hint of apology or understanding this is not what you expect from general upscale place like this. Restaurant was probably 30% full so should not be an issue with capacity

Food is really standard to mediocre. Nothing special at all. Waiters are overloaded; didn’t come to ask about the food. View is very nice.

Food was ok - bit of a mixed bag. Lobster ravioli was great. Ribeye was meh. Service terrible. Very very slow. Food took ages to come out and also took ages even to get a menu.

City Social is a great dining experience. The food is excellent—every dish is beautifully crafted. The view is amazing, with panoramic sights of London’s skyline from the 24th floor. The service is top-tier, attentive without being intrusive. Overall. Highly recommend!

City Social, a one-Michelin-starred restaurant perched high above the city with breathtaking views, sadly fell short of the expectations its accolades promise. While the location and ambiance are undeniably stunning, the dining experience was a significant letdown. Service, a cornerstone of any Michelin-starred establishment, was particularly disappointing. The staff lacked warmth and attentiveness, with the overall atmosphere feeling more clinical than welcoming. This was particularly evident with the sommelier, who, surprisingly, seemed to have little knowledge or enthusiasm for the wine selection—a glaring misstep in a restaurant of this caliber. The food, unfortunately, did not redeem the experience. My steak, which should have been the highlight of the meal, arrived cold. When I mentioned this to the waiters, they took it away and reheated it, hence it was returned to me dry and overcooked. Although the dish was eventually removed from the bill, the damage was done. The quality of the meal was more akin to overpriced pub fare than the refined cuisine one would expect from a Michelin-starred venue. While the views at City Social are indeed spectacular, they are not enough to justify the lackluster service and subpar dining experience. Michelin stars are awarded for excellence, and unfortunately, City Social did not live up to that standard during my visit.

We stopped in for a nightcap. Great looking bar with good ambiance. Staff was friendly and professional with great service. Amazing views of London. And the drinks were excellent. A perfect way to end a night in London. Next time we’ll come for the food!

WARNING! If you're considering dining at City Social in London because of its Michelin star, I strongly advise you to reconsider. Our recent experience as a table of five was nothing short of disappointing, and it's hard to believe this restaurant has retained its Michelin rating. While the starters were passable, they didn’t offer anything particularly special—certainly not what you'd expect from a Michelin-starred establishment. Things took a turn for the worse with the main courses. The steak, in particular, was a letdown, tasting no better than something you'd pick up at a supermarket. For the price, it felt like an absolute rip-off, more akin to pub grub than fine dining. To make matters worse, the staff were unprofessional, messy, and lacked the warmth and attentiveness you'd expect from a restaurant of this supposed caliber. From the moment we arrived, we were met with a lack of enthusiasm that set a poor tone for the evening. The service was nowhere near the level of excellence one associates with a Michelin-starred restaurant. We left feeling like the reputation of this restaurant was far more impressive than the food and service itself. It’s doubtful City Social will retain its star for much longer if the quality doesn’t improve. The views, I admit, are excellent, but they’re not enough to justify the expense or the hype. Save your money and your taste buds—there are far better places in London to enjoy a meal

Had a birthday dinner at City Social and had a good time. Raj was our waiter, and was friendly and attentive. He also came with a chocolate dessert with a candle and wished me happy birthday. The steak was nicely cooked and really tasty.

Very disappointing for a michelin star restaurant!! Food was very plain and there was no presentation. What'smore, the waiter and waitress were not welcoming at all and made us uncomfortable!!

Fırstiy no smile when we came to tower 24 by the lady working there at 7.10 pm . Then the waiter gave the wrong burger, we ordered chicken not beef then they insisted on me paying for it several times and I never had beef in my life as it’s against my ethics . The waiter at the bar never gave sauce even after burger came we had to wait 15 mins and he always gave an angry face - absolutely disappointed the staff were so impolite despite asking for sauce several times . Receipt attached we want a full refund

The setting of the restaurant is really beautiful. The view of the city is incredible. The servers were attentive and didn’t make us wait too long to take our orders - however, when food was presented, there were a few times that sleeves were touching the food from the servers leaning over the table and not walking around to put plates down and when the fries were placed on the table, the server knocked one of the fries out of the container.

Come here for a lunch but we had an hour only, the staff were very accommodative. Food was on point - both of us ordered the fish dishes and are cooked just right. The desert was an highlight - the ‘ice cream game’ is legitimately a game (without giving out too much details), it added so much joy to our in-and-out lunch.

My wife booked a table for my bday. Food was great, service was even better especially Mihir was exceptional.

The experience as a whole was lovely. The staff are attentive and very nice and friendly. However, I was disappointed with the food. The steak was over cooked and dry and I didn't wish to complain in front of other guests. I have a sweet tooth but found the chocolate mousse disappointing. The mousse also has a fruit jelly in the middle which I didn't find too enjoyable. The food for me wasn't outstanding.

We booked a table to celebrate our anniversary. We chose from the excellent value set lunch and splurged on grown up cocktails and wine, including a delicious glass of Sauternes with dessert. Faultless service and perfectly executed food. I paid extra for the ravioli which was truly fantastic. Great views over London. As it was Monday lunchtime, there were only a few tables. All the same, the food was spot on and though the waiting staff were attentive, they let us get on with enjoying the food. We did ask for regular butter to put on the superb bread... The bread came with a perfect onion shaped blob of smoked onion butter which, for me, smothered the taste of the fabulous fresh bread. A minor niggle, immediately rectified. We had disclosed that it was our anniversary and a superb chocolate based dessert with gold leaf adornment was presented to us to share. A nice touch. Thank you After lunch, the staff showed us around the various views and I was able to thank one of the chefs as we looked into the spotless kitchen . An unhurried, excellent meal.

Pure indulgence in both food, wine and service. Amazing setting and views - it’s almost, no it is indeed perfect.

Civilised food in the City!! Superb views. Staff who are attentive without being constantly in your face. Superb cocktails and expansive wine list. Great value set lunch menu. Only negative was the smoked onion butter, which was style over substance... A fantastic onion shaped blob of butter which utterly smothered the taste of the excellent bread. .. But soon rectified by the waiter who brought us a decent butter to smother on our bread. The sauces with our food were so good, our plates were unashamedly whipped with the bread!! Petit fours with excellent coffee. Unhurried, lunchtime perfection.

Went again, stunningly bad. Not Michelin worthy. Mainly paying for views. Serious food people wouldn’t eat here.

I entertained 2 clients last week & left disappointed & concerned. I didn’t complain in front of my guests but when I’m paying £260 + 15% service, so £1 short of £300, for 2 bottles of wine I cannot accept that it is spilt on the table during the service process. We were rushed to place our order & even had to choose our dessert at the same time as the other 2 courses which I have not experienced in a Michelin star restaurant before. The lobster ravioli starter was good but then it should be for £12 extra. Once our bread basket was empty were we offered more….NO. The steaks were good but so they should be for £20 extra but salad served with a dish that has 2 sauces with it…..really ?? Surely some home grown new season vegetables would have been more appropriate or at least be offered ? Were we asked if we wanted anything to go with our steaks like mustard….NO…..my client requested some malt vinegar for his 8 fries but it wasn’t offered. Finally £6 extra for a selection of 3 cheeses from the trolley….what trolley ?…..I got a plate of what I was given not a choice of 3 choices of cheese that I would like to eat. The food was good but was not as good as I have experienced in other restaurants so for me it didn’t represent value for money or live up to my expectations in any department, the restaurant was pretty much empty so I’m guessing that the reputation of the restaurant is not what it was or should be. I emailed the restaurant with my comments & got a very dismissive could not care less reply. Perhaps their opinion of themselves is a lot higher than that of their clientele. Overall a 4 out of 10 experience.

Atmosphere and service was incredible. The private booth made the experience perfectly secluded, with the view being the city of London late at night. Overall, the food was very good with some dishes being a lot stronger than others.

Staff had very good attention to detail. Food was as amazing as the views. I loved the atmosphere and will definitely be coming back.

My favourite restaurant in London this evening we sat in the bar and had a meal as we were heading to the O2 for a concert. We had fabulous views and ordered a lager and Jameson's whisky ginger and lime (very nice) we ordered a burger and fries and fish and chips (GF). Both were delicious and reasonably priced at £17 & £18 respectively. Id anything my chunky chips although delicious were slightly over seasoned with salt. Service is excellent and ambience lovely. Definitely recommend and with service included the bill was £66. Very reasonable for the top quality food and experience. Thank you.

We only went for cocktails which were great and quite affordable. Watching the sunset over London was certainly the best atmosphere for a late Friday hang out. Can’t wait to go again.

For a business dinner I informed the host which in turn informed the restaurant that I'm dairy free. The food offered was vegan, and the waiters refused to replace with anything of substance stating this was pre ordered. These options which included a beetroot appetiser and English pea acquerello rice, petit pois à la française as a main were mediocre at best. Aside from that, the wine was excellent and glasses filled often, and the atmosphere is fabulous.

Delicious food with great views in a slightly overly stiff and formal space. Cocktails are great too.

A friend recommended this place for its excellent service, and it did not disappoint. When we visited on Thursday night, it wasn't very crowded. Though the music was a bit loud, the ambiance was pleasant. The cocktails were delicious, and the food was amazing.

What can I say besides everything was perfect from the food to the view and the service. We went with the set lunch menu and wasn’t disappointed and enjoyed them with our zero alcohol mocktails and everything was excellent. I would recommend dinning here.

What a sad experience! Came from Toronto for a week visiting 4 different Michelin-starred restaurants. City Social had a cool entrance and private elevator that opened into a dark and bustling restaurant vibe at 8pm. Great so far as was the table by the window for the three of us. Our wines by the glass were pricey but excellent with coravin pour. I often get “generous” pours but the Reisling and Bordeaux were quite the opposite and were both poured without an offer of a taste. I got over this and our foie gras was delicious as were the snails (although the latter were slightly undercooked). The lamb was underwhelming in terms of presentation and quantity but tasted alright. Our 2 fillets were cooked to perfection and were great tasting cuts. Seasoning was minimal though and why they served the tiny fillet alone on a large plate with the chips and salad on 2 more dishes, I don’t understand. I was looking forward to the Bernaise sauce with my steak but it did not pour and was really a paste that i scooped out of the tin serving urn. It didn’t taste very fresh either. The tarte tatin was amazing, a massive portion even for 3 of us and the highlight of the meal Though the food was sub par for a Michelin restaurant, the service was the worse I have ever had in a fine dining establishment! Starting with little things like giving us a carafe of water and never refilling or pouring and not cleaning crumbs between courses from the table, it only went downhill. None of the 3-4 inattentive waitstaff mulling about ever asked how our dishes were and only did so when presenting the check. Then at 9:30 they turned up the lights very brightly above our table and all tables at the windows. I asked them to lower them back and they did. Piece de resistance though was that while eating our Tarte Tatin at 9:30, a waiter came by and told us to please scoop the shareable dessert into our side plates because that dish was needed! I was so shocked and gave a visible frown, that the waiter observed, but carried on waiting for us to move the dessert onto our individual plates. There were still 4 other tables eating, 3 larger groups and us. One table had been there longer than us. Disgraceful and disappointing that a restaurant would give us the bum’s rush like this. Do not eat here if you have any standards! and City Social…buy more plates!!

Great bar for cocktail followed by a fantastic dinner in tbe restaurant, both with a panoramic view of London. Attentive team of people, friendly and welcoming. The food was just great. Fine dining, thoughtful dishes. Great advice from tbe lady sommelier (forgot name.. sorry). A great experience that shall be repeated

What I can say is, wow, what dining experience. It was a lovely sunny evening anyway. The view I had was looking on and beyond the Gherkin. The food was amazing and many drink choices. I was very happy with a Midnight cocktail, duck pate and a beef stake main. Accompanied by a Spanish red wine. Even more fun was the Ice cream game, just try it 😊.

This is our second time here. The first experience was fantastic! So we chose City Social to celebrate my boyfriend's special birthday, in May 2024. We had a private room. Tasty food, top-notch service, stunning view and pleasant ambience. Highly recommend!

This restaurant has its Michelin start because of the views nothing more the food is like a 6/10 and the service a solid 5/10 we had a reservation in the notes i asked for a view had to wait 15 minutes to get seated then we ordered starters and main dishes at once we got the starters around 20minutes in and the mains proceeded to take 1hr and 40minutes… once we asked where our main course was they said it had only been 20minutes and i had literally timed it with a picture i took of the starters 50 minutes before…

Great views! We ate in the bar and the food was very reasonably priced and of very good quality. Good cocktails. Wine list is more in line with the main restaurant and on the pricier side. I’ve previously done private dining here for a work event and that was spectacular.

Service was excellent. Devon crab and prawn/lobster raviolo and the presentation were great starters. The fillet and ribeye seemed to have been cooked as requested but the meat seemed very tough and unpleasant. The main course presentation was very underwhelming for Michelin star. Would suggest to others not to get any of the steaks. Cocktails and dessert were fantastic though.

Went here for dinner with a client on 13th May '24. The service was embarrassingly bad. It was like the staff hadn't worked in a restaurant before. We got the winelist without any menus...how can I chose what to drink when I don't know what food is on the menu. Service was slow and no etiquette...pouring males wine before female. Keeping the wine 3m from the table and then not refilling the glasses after being asked. We had to get up and get the wine ourself in the end. Food itself was ok.. but nothing exceptional. Not sure how they got their Michelin star.

Visited this place for cocktails and was blown away by the exceptional quality of drinks and service, not to mention the breathtaking view. Highly impressed!

Came en route via Montreal via some excellent meals, and was similarly very excited for City Social and the first restaurant of our trip in London… and wow what a disappointment! I suspect they cater to the mid week crowd in this area and not to Friday nights and food-centric patronage. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and it was not worth it, if I were the reader of this review, I would book elsewhere. She had an incredibly hard week of work, and we were looking forward to this - we will have to try elsewhere since this was not it. They forgot the wine menu which she loves, they forgot a dish which I was looking forward to, and never brought the dish out even after asking (I assume they were out of an ingredient - who knows!). Other issues too, several minor and very noticeable. Overall not a great place for guest and food centric dining. My personal advice - again, it could have been an off night - save you enjoyment and go to a truly food and guest-centric restaurant instead of City Social, life is way too short for this, and I wonder if the service workers were not treated well given the lack of passion for why meals matter. That said, the food that was served was quite good but lacking the “why” behind it from our servers - greatest respect to the chef and their amazing food efforts, improve the service given how many people are working the dining room and they could have an amazing soft product that could complement their oddly great food. Best of luck to City Social, and my hope that it was simply an off night, or service worker treatment that will improve or who knows. I really am hoping they can improve.

Was my birthday meal last night Took half hour to even get a food menu , very very slow service, wine was too cold for red wine didn’t even get offered an aperitif Food was tasty and well presented have to say not up to Michelin standard though and have eaten at a few Was my birthday also didn’t even get a cake or some chocolates, nothing Spoke to one of the higher up staff last night who did say they staff down last night however, when dining in a Michelin restaurant and I have worked in Michelin also , the customer should not know about the lack of staff , no description of the dishes were made, and it says cheese trolley however simply came on plate, also, I’m gluten free and there as wheat crackers on the plate , very nice to offer some complimentary cheese though that was appreciated Overall a really unpleasant and disappointing evening and had been excited to eat here for a while , And not Michelin standard at all both service and food sadly Sad really as for some and my partner we had to really save up for this meal it a lot of money and felt really sad when leaving

I love this bar! There are lots of venues in London with great views, but this one is just really special. The bar team were outstanding, and just seem to love their work, nothing was too much trouble. We expected the food would be good given it was City Social, but we hadn't expected there to be so much attention to detail, and the service from Nesli and Keira was so endearing, it really made it a special evening for us.

An intimate venue but lacked atmosphere and expected staples to be hitting mark, missed on quality. Good views for a Friday night. Pricey.

This place is perfect for a night out with great scenery and fantastic ambience! The nibbles are so delicious, and the cocktails are over the top! Trust me; you don't want to miss the opportunity to watch the sunset while sipping on the amazing cocktails. I highly recommend it! 🥂

Truly an enchanting place, everything taken care of down to the smallest detail, exquisite food and spectacular drinks. What can I say... everything was excellent and plentiful, fast service and kind and professional staff. I thank the Bar team for the wonderful evening, and for recommending delicious dishes and drinks and always with a smile! You can see that they do their job with passion, thank you!

Great views, good food but I was a little annoyed that I ordered a G&T with lime cordial and after requesting 3 times, it never came with lime cordial. Very much a first world problem but an issue for me nonetheless. Otherwise it was perfect.

I thought finding it was a challenge... Finding the exit was... Like Daedalus' labyrinth only much better views. The food was good... The views excellent but none compare to the service. Staff make the experience and it was something else. To start, they're all very young which is even more a credit to management and themselves. If you want a public yet personal experience close to the centre of London, I can't recommend it enough!

If you are a chef going for a trial here please be aware that you can be invited for a trial here via whatsapp and not only will you not even be contacted afterwards, you will not be paid for your trial, so you will essentially spend six hours doing free labour. Please make sure if you are invited for a trial that you get it in writing that you will be paid for your time.

We had gone to the bar for drinks after a business meeting. The bar team was very warm and hodpitsble. The guests I had brought loved the service and also the cocktails.

This was our favourite restaurant before 2022. I don't know what happened, but my recent visit in 2024 was a huge disappointment. The menu has been "downgraded" significantly, and no longer has the bold creativity and vibrant flavour. The service level also dropped. The famous triple cooked chips in duck fat is GONE!!! Now it offers good-enough chips with good-enough steak. However, nothing mindblowing or impressive. Sadly, we will no longer visit City Social in the future. Don't get me wrong, it's still good food and good view. But the "above and beyond" elements are gone. Even the bathrooms were renovated to a worsened standard - no more city view and small stalls. Good food but not worth £100+ per person and will not be a must visit anymore.

A Night to Remember at City Social – 5 Stars All Around! Had the absolute pleasure of spending an evening at City Social's bar, and wow, what an experience! A shoutout to Carmine, the mastermind behind the bar, whose cocktail game is on another level. From the classics to his own creations, each drink was a masterpiece... ask for the foam... shhh... It's a secret. Big thanks to Hubert and Sebastian, too, whose bartending skills kept us entertained, happy, and thoroughly hydrated throughout the night. Their service was top-notch - always with a smile and incredibly attentive. A special mention to Keira and Nesli for their outstanding service. The attention to detail, the engagement, the warmth, and those smiles made our evening extra special. It’s clear they put their hearts into their work, and it really shows. Let’s not forget the unsung heroes behind the scenes – the culinary team who rustled up the delicious treasures that filled our plates and our tummies. Each dish was a delight, and their efforts didn’t go unnoticed. In all respects, this was a 5-star experience. Sit in the bar; I promise you won't be disappointed. You'll leave with a full belly, a wide smile, and perhaps a little wobble, thanks to the incredible food and drinks. Cheers to the team at City Social for making our evening one to remember. We can’t wait to come back!

All I can say is....do it. Thank me later It's a really good atmosphere and setting for a great date night. And the food I even better. I honestly love coming to city social and that's why I've been several times. I highly recommend it.. if my recommendation means anything🤷🏿‍♂️🤣

Went for drinks for the third time here, it's a great view at night and definitely a must for those out for cocktails in the City of London. Cocktails were nice but not much in the way of options for whiskey cocktails on the menu.

Had a fabulous evening, last night, with one of our biggest clients. They were VERY happy. Loved the food, the wine, the service and the view. It's definitely not cheap, but it is worth the money in my opinion. I'll definitely be back both pa and with clients.

I usually dont write reviews however this deserved one, we hosted a birthday dinner at city social private dining options, and everything was amazing. The person incharge, i wish i could remember their name they were so wonderful i honestly have no words, any arrangements made prior with the restuarant were fulfilled and i could say i couldnt have asked for a better 20th birthday. Thank you and your team, i highly highly recommend

The food here is exceptional and it deserved its Michelin star! Every dish was cooked to perfection. In a couple of recent reviews I presume that some key staff were off at that time, because this time it was class all the way. The sharing dishes are a great idea which just adds to the experience. The lobster ravioli and scallops tartare must be tried and the veal chop sharing dish was perfection. The only negative was that we were being pressured to have another bottle of wine. I know they have to do this but there's only a need to ask once. I am also not a fan of the wine being poured for us. I advise pouring your own for an even split! Another reason to visit is the view which is incredible from the 24th floor!

Went for drinks so cannot comment on the food, but lovely views, a large drinks and cocktail menu, and fantastic staff. Highly recommended a visit!

Still surprised this restaurant has a Michelin star. Food was mediocre at best, service sloppy and slow. It took a hour to have some starters served, staff was unprepared to answer questions. Wine list unnecessarily long, suggestions were made without knowledge of what we were going to eat. Atmosphere reminded of a regular pub. Quite disappointing.

I've been to City Social once before in 2022. That time both food quality and service was great. My recent dining experience at City Social, however was awful. 1. Staff was very un attentive (my booking was at 8:00pm). Me and my partner are normally the patient type, but we was taken to the table without out our coats being taken and crammed in this 10 row of tables which me as a slim girl had to squeeze into, with 20 other people on top of each other who could all hear your conversation. Which is fine, if you're going to Nando's but when you paying the prices charged in this restaurant you expect to have some privacy to your meal. We asked to move table as it was a special occasion for me and my partner and we had already noted in our booking request that we would have liked a table close to the window, which we didn't get even though their where table available at the time, nor was their an explanation, at this point we didn't care where we sat as long as we wasn't in the seats we was placed in. We even offered to wait at the bar for a hour if needed while they found a table. It took so long just to get a simple drinks and dining menu, we must have been sat there at least 40 minutes until we was acknowledged by anyone and once their was a lack of communication between staff of who was serving our table, as we got asked about 5 times in 5 minutes if we was ready to order a drink and felt like we was repeating ourselves explaining we was being dealt with. 2. Staff was not professionally trained. When we was still eating our food was taken off the table, a waiter had then come over to tell the other waiter off and to put it back onto the table as we was still eating, it felt almost uncomfortable to watch and could have been handled away from the table after. 3. If the above two points wasn't even bad enough, the waiter then poured someone else's wine into my unfinished glass, this wasn't the first issue we had off wrong things being delivered to the table as our starters came up with the completely wrong order and was sent away from the table. Whist the waiter did replace my glass of wine for free, bottles of wine aren't cheap in there and I wonder whether the person who's wine had been poured into mine was told, and replaced too. 4. Finally, if the above wasn't enough. The bill arrived to our table which was completely incorrect, I've always been one of them people who look at the total and pay but luckily my partner does look through it and they had charged us for multiple different alcoholic drinks and food we had not eaten. Again the waiter was shouted at behind us. We didn't want to make a scene out of it, hence we paid the full bill for the evening and left but the food was nothing spectacular and the service was enough of a off put to not turn up again.

This was our second time at City Social, the first time was great for my husbands 30th birthday so we decided to return. Probably one of the most disappointing meals we’ve had in London compared to other meals at this price point. In two words: forgettable and disappointing. We started off wanted to share 2 snacks. I have a gluten allergy and asked for suggestions for my husband and I to share, and were suggested that we have the chicken karage and padron peppers. We ordered those only to find out that the karage were in fact not gluten free and in fact coated in breadcrumbs and flour as it landed at our table. No resolution was provided, despite the fact that we confirmed we needed the whole meal to be gluten free on my reservation, in person on arrival, when seated, and when we ordered. How this made its way out from the kitchen is beyond me. This ruined my trust that the rest of the meal was safe for me to eat. The padron peppers were undercooked and just ok. A whole bowl to myself was too much. My husband said the chicken was great, but he had to eat the whole bowl to himself which was filling and just not the plan. Again, a whole bowl to himself was too much. The starters were … good. But the fork provided to me was dirty and smelled of dirty dishwater and really ruined the first taste of the dish. I had a small crab shell in the dish which isn’t the end of the world but again, the little things were adding up to make this experience disappointing. For the mains we had steak which we ordered rare and it came out medium well and so bland. The sauces were bland, and the steaks we could have made at home taste a million times better. The chips, again, were bland. We opted out for dessert. The pacing of the meals was off and we felt rushed, even though the restaurant was empty. The wine list is extortionately priced for mediocre wines. Their sparkling selection is just moet and dom perignon. No English sparkling or something interesting. For the whites, there was cloudy bay that I could have gotten a bottle of from a local off license for £12 priced at £25 a glass. The recommendations by the Sommelier were good, just didn’t feel that their by the glass selection was as fabulous as it could be or used to be. Disappointing is just a term to describe the whole meal. I have no clue how they have retained a Michelin star other than having a space with a great view.

Despite they told me my birthday celebration was noted, and also that a private corner would have been reserved for us, we were in the very center of the room, no view, and the food compared with last time we've been there, was not excellent. To conclude, my birthday was not even mentioned. So for 200 quid and a restaurant of this level no, not a pleasant experience this time, I don't think I'll be back another time

Amazing view on the City, good burger, good service but you pay accordingly to le location.
