Cinnamon Indian Balti Tandoori Takeaway in Conwy

We've been regular customers for a few years now, but after last night's experience I would never go back. We order food at 7.40, was told it would be 50 mins. Our food eventually arrived at 9.30, only it was completely wrong. Our butter chicken had no chicken in it, our plain boiled rice was pilau rice, our saag paneer was samosas (when we're celiac and can't have gluten.) I phoned up to try and resolve the situation but the person on the phone couldn't understand a word I was saying as he didn't speak a word of english. I asked for a full refund and they could have the food back, only I had to wait another 50 mins for them to drop my money off. When the delivery driver dropped off my refund they never even apologized. Overall terrible experience

Visited for a takeaway whilst staying in the area with family. Ordered for 6 people. Took 45mins which was fine and service at the front desk was good. Food was probably a 3.5/5 for frequent and well travelled Indian cuisine eaters. However I would score our whole meal as a 2/5. The food was astonishingly hot. I can eat a lot of hot food, but my madras was at least naga strength, someone’s Garlic Chili Chicken was inedible it was so hot and my wife’s Balti was at least madras hot. Not great and left everyone not enjoying it.

Ordered a take away as we we were staying local and would not recommend this place at all. We ordered Garlic Mushrooms, Donner & Lamb Kebab, chips and 2 coke. Turned up to collect it at the requested time only t be ignored for 10 minutes whilst the chef walked around the kitchen holding a child. The food was awful, I don’t know what was in the mushrooms but it wasn’t mushrooms and it tasted greasy. The kebab was a burnt naan bread filled with dried up donner meat and chunks of white meat that smelt like wet dog! need to say we didn’t eat anything. £15 wasted on food that was inedible, food was beyond terrible and the place was so dirty it needs shutting down.

Probably one of the best Indian takeaways we've ever had! Generous portions nice and hot on delivery. Took a little longer than advised but was certainly worth the wait! Well done Cinnamon Balti 👏 👍 🙌 👌

Staying at the local camp site, we had a takeaway from here one night and my wife said it was the best vegetable Biryani she has ever had, my dopiaza was good too.

I'm a long term customer and did not want to write this review as the food is tasty with good portion sizes. The problem? Everything is good/as expected when ordering, however it all falls apart when you go to collect. Having ordered over the phone your told a rough time to collect - 20 mins, 30mins, 45 mins etc, this is fine, then you go to collect at the appropriate time and find yourself waiting, sometimes for a very, very long time. This has increasingly got worse over the months. It used to be 10-15 mins on occasion, now its every time, with my average wait around 45 mins after the time I'm told it would be ready. This waiting issue now happens every time. While in there, I've heard multiple customers on multiple occasions complain that they've been waiting over two hours past their collection time and personally witnessed a number of customers demand their money back due to waiting so long. The frustrating part is this is so easy to avoid. Instead of telling people their food will be ready in 20 mins - and lying to them, tell them it will be 45 mins or an hour. I wont be returning unfortunately.

Made quite a large order for our family via Just Eat, excellent meal and brilliant portions! We all enjoyed our food.

We had the set meal 1. The main dishes were very greasy and had a funny taste. We are curry lovers from Manchester but would not recommend this takeaway as it stands. Felt like cleaning should be made a priority. Staff working on the front then going back to the kitchen to prep. Only one chef wearing a white uniform whilst others wearing own clothes. Also a mother with a new born baby standing in the kitchen...

Forgot items in the order and refused to issue refund. No apology for their mistake and made us come pick up the food.

Odered a dhansak which a very basic curry when i tasted it was so bland that it was just as though they had taken there basic sauce mix and had no extra spices added. i had to throw it away

Dirty and slow! If this was my first visit I wouldn't be back. Ordered 1x chips and 1x pakoro online. Waited 40+ mins for it to be prepared, then visited the takeaway and waited another 20+ minutes. Very poor!. The staff couldnt have been in dirtier overalls, felt like I was in a mechanics shop not a takeaway . Looking Into the kitchen I was greeted with a filthy workspace, gallon tub full of raw chicken was the highlight. Not very appetising. For a midweek order this experience was pretty slow. Will probably be back but not the basis of this visit.

We've ordered from Cinnamon a fair few times now but unfortunately last night was the final straw. We ordered our food, which to be fair to them tastes really nice, they told us it would be an hour, an hour and a half later we rung up and they told us we pre-booked for a later time, which we didn't do, then they told us it's being prepared and is on it's way. Thirty minutes later we ring up again to complain and the chef hung up on us. It's a shame, because we would have ordered from here a lot more if they were reliable. This isn't the first time delays like this have happened. Good food, terrible service.

After using this take-away for many years, the service I received today, Friday 12 November 2021. After placing an order at 6.29pm, I followed-up with a call at 7.40pm to ask as to the status of my order, to be informed that it will be another hour and they were not supposed to be doing deliveries today. I explained that Foodhub, how I ordered our take-away had given me the option to choose delivery. The person I spoke to on the phone was basically rude, I explained that I was diabetic and that to wait for a take-away for 2 hours was unreasonable and now causing me health issues and I possibly will not be using their take-out again, the response was, fine don't use us, I am too busy for this and the phone was hung-up on me. I am astounded by their ack of customer service. A good business should be customer centric which they are obviously not. It is now 9pm, no curry has arrived.

I am gutted to be writing this as I have loved using this place for many years but our recent visit was so so bad in every way. Ordered and paid for food online at 17.;30 for collection at 19.30. Had to wait outside till 20.10 as food not ready and when we tried 3 different curries between us they were so bland it was untrue. It was honestly £55 down the drain so unfortunately we won’t be back.

I just wanted to say that we’ve had two take aways from this curry house in the last week and they’ve both been delicious. The house balti had lots of flavor and was a good size too. The locals all recommend this place for a curry and we can see why. It’s the best curry we’ve had in ages and all reasonably priced. Definitely recommend!

The takeaway I had from here is up the the good old standards from a few years ago when people far and wide visited this takeaway, no mad colored rice! Proper thick filled tasty dishes. My favourite of all time!

As usual we had a fantastic takeaway from Cinnamon. This was pre-ordered a week before for a large group and the staff were extremely helpful and professional too. Excellent value for money and all starters and mains were delicious. It is hard to find a take way as good as Cinnamon.

Being local I have eaten here a fair few times and not once have I been disappointed. Others have mentioned that this has recently changed hands but that has not affected the quality of the food, and if anything has improved the overall service due to shorter waiting time, something which annoyed me in the past. The food always tastes fresh and freshly made and extremely tasty.

dont let the interior fool you this is an amazing place for take out we had a meal here and it was amazing even my fussiest child ate all of her meal

I often grab a takeaway from Cinnamon even though it's more than a ten mile drive and I've got an Indian takeaway in the village where I live. The menu is extensive and everything is cooked to order which does mean a bit of a wait but if the weather is ok you can pop down the beach for a stroll to really work up an appetite. No parking problems. Opens every day at four.

Felt very hungry and decided to treat myself to a takeaway, have used this place a few times before and service is always polite and food good, I usually go for veggie Madras but thought I'd try a Samber There were quite a few people waiting and it being Saturday night I thought the order might take a while but it was only about 10-15 minutes. I got back to my flat (am lucky enough to live in this beautiful village!) and literally filled a big plate with the generous portion of vegetable rice, thinking it would have made a meal in itself! Then I added the spicy stuff and it was delicious, there was actually enough to feed two people so I didn't manage to eat all of it, but it was very tasty and well prepared. I think I'll be back to try some of the other dishes - compliments to the chef and staff!

Brilliant!! I go here with my partner, we’ve been here a couple of times and I always love going. I usually have their mushroom vindaloo which is mouth watering. I’m vegan too, so they’re pretty good at catering for different dietary requests. The staff are super friendly- he remembers my order each time and always smiles and talks to us whilst we wait for my food. The portions are reallllly big (lasts for breakfast the next day) and are piping hot! It’s very good quality and the prices are quite affordable too. I would 100% recommend getting food from here.

Absolutely gorgeous Bangladeshi/Indian food. Everything nicely spiced and freshly made. Generous portions, to be honest enough in one portion to share between two. Sag Paneer and Lamb Dhansak in particular exceptional. Rice and Naans good. Be prepared for a long wait as orders are made freshly, IMHO best strategy is to order and then go for a beer or two at the excellent Llanfair Arms up the hill and over the bridge.

Staying nearby in holiday accommodation we found this takeaway from comments in their visitor pack. We ordered a vegetarian meal for two on a Friday night and this was presented to us in a huge carrier bag after only a 10 minute wait personally by the owner.Really excellent food and enormous portions which nearly overwhelmed us. The food is always fantastic, cooked fresh to order. You can see them cooking your food. Staff are lovely. You must be prepared to wait though. Always, without fail! We order a takeaway one Saturday night and arranged for a taxi to pick it up. They said it would be ready in 45 mins, We gave them an hour and explained that there would be a taxi driver picking it up at 8pm. The driver still had to wait for 20mins!!!The portions are always huge, lots of meat, delicious spices. Worth the wait however I do wish that if they give you a time, they stick to it!

Have been using this takeaway for over 6 years now and always great food. A long wait at times but well worth it. I travel 20 minutes from home there as it is so good.

We always come to this Indian and the food is delicious. The prices are reasonable and so are the portions. HOWEVER, we ALWAYS end up waiting about an hour and a half for our meals. This is ridiculous and something this takeaway really needs to work on, granted it can get busy however it wouldn't be as much of a problem if they were honest about how long it was going to take. We normally get told that it'll be ready in about an hour which we understand but we always end up waiting much much longer in the waiting room. I love this takeaway however the wait for food is really starting to get annoying.

Following a friend ferrying me around to take my car to a garage for a much needed fix he drove me home and was going to pick up a takeaway for his family on the way back. Having heard good things about this takeaway in my village I suggested we call there and I could grab something too.When I eventually got home and opened up my meal it was a revelation, the portion size was immense, my single meal was plenty enough for two. However this generosity paled into insignificance when it came to the substance of the meal. I have never seen a takeaway that looked so appetising. The look and flavour was vibrant and evidently made to order with `proper` fresh ingredients. An absolute joy for the eyes and the palate.

Regularly visit here for food and its been delicious every time with the portion size leaving me enough for lunch the next day lolYes you may have to wait extra now and again but once you're home tucking into it, all is forgotten :)

We order from this restaurant regularly, the food is very good with generous portions, tasty and everything is cooked to order - what a pity that the waiting times are never 'on time' or even fairly close, such a shame - I recommend that you ring in your order way before the time you need it by, we are regularly told that there is a 45minute wait - but you could add another 30-50 mins onto this.

Extreme tomato puree flavour to every dish giving strong tomato tasting curries if you like that sort of thing. Definitely not subtle or delicate curries. Quickly gets very busy at peak times so could be waiting a while.

We have used this Indian Takeaway on many occasions over the last 18 months. Sorry but never again, you have completely taken the p**s this time!We ordered a take away for 4 people yesterday 19.02.16 at 18:30hrs, we were told the usual story of 45 minutes until it was ready, no worries that's how it is especially if they are busy.As they are always late producing, I gave them 60 minutes and turned up to collect at 19:30 to find nothing ready, not a problem I thought it won't be long, how wrong I was I sat there and waited and waited then waited some more, I finally left the premises at 20:50hrs that was a wait in the shop of 1 hour 20 minutes and a total order time of 2 hours 20 minutes!To add insult to injury so to speak people were coming in the shop ordering over the counter and collecting food and leaving, as did the guy that knew the chef that just came in tapped on the window and gave chef the thumbs up before proclaiming he had telephoned his order 30 minutes prior.Our food was finally cooked and I delivered it home to our hungry guests in great anticipation of our feast to come, what a massive let down, The Butter Chicken was fine, the Chicken Passanda and two other 'Medium' curries were far too hot, way too much chilli, now I can normally eat and enjoy something hot like a Madras but the food we had was off the scale, so much so we threw it all away. The chef's need to learn about how much heat should be in what curry.I would like to thank the Cinnamon Takeaway for three things;1. Costing me £35 on throwing food away.2. Costing me 2 hours 20 minutes of my life waiting.3. Totally ruining the evening of four people with crap service and crap food.A piece of advice would be to tell your customers the real truth on waiting times, don't make doing fast turnaround for your mates so obvious to customers who have waited much, much longer, and make curries that are supposed to be 'Medium' to exactly that!Sorry but I shall never give you another penny of my hard earned cash, nor recommend you to anybody in the future.If you wish to check it was ordered under the name 'Jenny' and I was the guy in the light blue jacket.

First of all this Indian has made me ill, bad stomach ache and firing fire balls out of my rear. Three of us are food from there, all three of us are stuck to the toilet. Secondly the currys we ordered all tasted the same. I ordered the Bhuna, it was not a Bhuna. Disappointed, never again.

Had vegetable dupiaza. Very nice but had a kick which I've not had with a dupiaza before but it wasn't off putting. Really good value too and you see them cooking there as you wait.

We only had to wait about 25 minutes for them to cook our food. Which was really tasty. It was quite busy & we could see why. The service was very friendly & they have an excellent hygiene rating.

I have been to very many curry houses in my life and this is one of the best. Food is always top notch and the staff very friendly. Would love them to open a small restaurant and not just a take-away. Have to ration myself purely for the sake of my waste-line.

Been here loads of times everything and I do mean everything is made to order so it tastes so good.That is why sometimes the waiting times can be lengthy if quoted 20mins I go in half an hour.If someone orders 8-15meals with the campsite and the amount of holiday villas around nearby it does happen you can imagine they instantly get rammed, but the food is always worth the wait. Be careful though because their hot food is hot if you are a chilli head ask for a very hot version but be warned it will hurt!!But they do Malaya and korma which are not hot, they have vegetarian versions of the curries of which there are vegetable or mushroom, personally I like both, or ask for a meal sized sag paneer or veg Biriyani, maybe a bread again which there are several .... Sooo much choice gorgeous!!!

I have ordered from Cinnamon many times and recommended it to family and work colleagues...it is simply the best takeaway in the area by a mile.I have worked my way through most of the menu and cannot find fault.Some reviews have been marked down because of long waiting times,fair enough on very busy occasions...but this food is worth waiting for !!!

I am a curry-lover and have worked my way through lots of menus but I keep going back to Cinnamon and I drive 15 minutes to get it! Gorgeous food, great portions. Everyone that I have recommended has gone there and loved it and gone back again! Keep up the fantastic standard :)

I have eaten from many many Indian takeaways all over the country and I can say that this is one of the best and having had a few now the quality is consistent

I love this Indian. I live in the village and am so glad it's just down the road. The food is consistently really good. It's a bit on the spicy side, so if you don't like it too hot, I'd suggest you choose one of the milder dishes. I regularly choose the biryani - there's plenty for dinner and always some left to heat up for lunch the next day.

This great Indian Takeaway saved our lives several times on our 14 day stay in North Wales. Wide range of dishes, everything fresh, crisp and tasty. And always hot when we arrived in our rented cottage. Staff was very friendly, Portions more than enough. Definitely a reason to come back to LLanfairfechan!

The best in the area, but when they say 30 minutes allow 45, and go to the Village Inn for a pint. All of the starters and sides are VERY good value...mains a little pricey, but worth it. You can view your food being prepared through a window, but cannot hear much as the phone is constantly ringing. Although not listed they will do individual requests like Mata paneer, well he will for us!!
