Cinnamon in Wigan

We are new to the Coppull area and this is our first takeaway and review for this restaurant. I can honestly say this was one of the best Indian meals we have had and we have had some indian meals back in yorkshire over the years. We had starters and mains with side dish and nann and everything was delicious, good size portions and delivered hot and on time. Definately will be ordering again.

Came for a midweek deal. Starter main and side for £12 which is brilliant. Food delicious! Plenty of parking. Good choice of beer. I had the tikka sizzler which was lovely

Called for the buffet after seeing it advertised. A little disorganised with lots of empty tables full of dirty empty plates. Whilst we sat waiting for a table we saw the barman use his hands to put the ice in glasses, sorry but not hygienic at all. Food wasn't too bad, wasn't a lot of choice but for £11.95 not bad. Full of families with kids running about. Not sure I'd go again. Not very clean or tidy.

Great choice, friendly staff and atmosphere, liked the seating style. We all tried something new and all enjoyed. First time but we will be back!

Smelly lager!! chutney tray with poppadoms down from six choices to four !! Includes sliced onions from a jar !! Both our dishes were far too spicy, one being a bhuna which is not a spicy dish, exchanged for another but got the same one back with yoghurt added to kill the spice !! Tasted nothing like a bhuna more like a korma !! Ordered a tandoori chicken instead and got a bright red dye stained one which I couldn't eat !! Same with other dish taken away to do another one, same one returned with yoghurt to kill the spice !! Just rubbish. Whoever made that days big pan of base gravy/curry had made it too hot and tried to save it with yoghurt!! Finally asked if we would like to take it home!! Replied if we couldn't eat it there what makes you think we could eat it at home !!...Charged full price for our meals which we didn't eat and came home hungry, resorted to making something at home !! £50 lighter !!

Absolutely amazing with a warm welcome from staff fantastic menu with lots of choice. We order our meals which was delicious from start to finish fantastic service food well worth the money 💰 we would definitely be this restaurant. 💯 %

Excellent meal & not like some places where you're rushed out, nice time between each course, Mulligatawny soup to start, then lamb Tikka naga & garlic rice with special nan. Good selection of drinks, bitter before meal, wine during, liqueur coffee after & a nice malt whisky to finish.

Came for the all you can eat buffet was ok for an all you can eat not a lot of choice 2 starters chips fish fingers nuggets for kids rice chips nan bread 4 currys that was it papadomas not included in the buffet you have pay extra for it which they don't tell you

First time to this restaurant and thought we’d try it out by coming for the midweek special menu. We were impressed as soon as we walked in. Beautiful restaurant and pleasant attentive staff. The food was absolutely gorgeous. The chicken was so soft, everything was freshly made and piping hot and the portion sizes were fantastic. My family were up from Birmingham and the said it was the best balti they have ever had. Could not fault anything at all and ot was also great that we were not rushed in and out, just the right amount of time between courses. So glad we have found this place, will now become our regular for family occasions and can’t wait now to sample the full menu on offer in the future

Torn between 2 and 3 stars on quality. The mushroom rice was lovely, peshwari was amazing, as was the chicken in the dishes, but the curries themselves were lacklustre. The madras lacked any flavour other than garlic and there was no heat to it whatsoever, it was really disappointing. The dhansak didn’t taste too dissimilar to the madras. All round, it was a disappointment I’m afraid, which is a shame as I was really looking forward to trying the new and improved service. Delivery was prompt though, arrived right when it said it would and the driver was very pleasant. Undecided as to whether I will try again, we’ll see!

Missing items from my order called to be told 10 mins after delivery time arrived 30 minutes late food was Luke warm at best won’t be ordering from here again….

Food arrived 1 hour 40 minutes late and then arrived without rice!

Food took over an hour and a half. Balti was lovely. Chicken chat wasn’t good at all.

Went to the all you can eat buffet the food was luke warm and not much choice We were a family of 9 with 2 children over 8 and a 2 year old I'm absolutely disgusted that they charged us £6.95 for a 2 year old who had a few chips and a couple of chicken nuggets. I actually thought it was very expensive for children in general

The food was fantastic. Even though it was a bit late, the delivery person apologised and gave me a couple of beers as way of apology. I would definitely order again and highly recommend them

When the food eventually over 1hr 20 mins arrived cold I discovered the lamb balti is actually beef totally different consistency don't smell or taste like lamb. The keema rice tastes like chemicals. I don't normally have takeaway its a treat once a month but this has ruined the experience for me. I never complain about anything but food of this low quality has prompted me to write this review. Safe to say I will never order again. Please the discount offered give it to your next customer.

Do not I repeat do not get a delivery from here, they never tell the truth when they are going to deliver if they say within the hour add another 1 1/2 hours after that. We rang twice chasing it up and they tell you lies and don't care. If you want to keep your business treat your customers with respect. Go elsewhere there are plenty of Indian restaurants.

Always love this take away but last 2x late and cold so ruined

Rang to see where it was to be told the delivery man was on his way, rang back 15 minutes later to be told it was just being packed!

The food is outstanding but the actual delivery time bears no resemblance to the estimated time when ordering. And being told the delivery is already en route when in fact it hadn’t even left the restaurant, is very frustrating.

It was late but it’s a busy night. Food was still warm and good quality

Not eaten here in a while really disappointed. Chicken chat was bland and more like a soup. Main meal came and it was look warm. For £30 I am disappointed.

Very nice food delivered faster than advertised, what's not to like?

In short, terrible delivery driver. Food tastes ok, but cold. Delivery for 7pm, been sat facing my door since 6:50pm. App says food is delayed will arrive 7:35pm. Phone call from restaurant at 7:20pm saying the delivery driver had already come and knocked for 5 minites so he left the food by the door in the freezing cold. Delivery driver definitely didnt knock because i was basically sat by the door waiting. I even added a note for a "loud knock please", but apparently it never happened.

Terrible delivery service. Ordered food at 6pm for 7pm delivery. Delivery changed by restaurant for 7.10. Arrived at 8pm despite being told at 7.30 on his way. Won’t be ordering again. Very poor.

I'm disappointed not to have received an update on the delay on my order. It had exceeded the already long wait for food and i had to phone up for an update. The curry was nice as usual, but the starter was really bland.

2 hours wait and it was cold and over cooked

We ordered 2 hours ago and still nothing has arrived. Phoned the restaurant twice told ‘10 mins twice’ this is now 25 mins ago. Was complaining second time and they hung up the phone. Called back and no answer. Called again from a different number and answered straight away. We have no power as already paid. Will not be using this restaurant again and very much put off just eat/any system that depends on paying up front. Disgusting.

Order was late and only when I rang the restaurant did they say driver on his way (clearly wasn't, as only got the notification from just eat as I got off the phone) order was missing items and rang restaurant again and they said would refund. Told them I wasn't happy with the service and wanted the delivery and service charge taking off too.

Went here last night with family and we couldn’t fault it in anyway the food was so tasty. The staff was so friendly and so good with our daughter would very much recommend here over anywhere else such a great easy atmosphere aswell will definitely be going again.

Appalling service. Food arrived over 2 hours after we ordered it. Over an hour later than the suggested delivery time. Rang the restaurant twice to ask why the food was so late and was dismiss with "yea its out for delivery now". Do not order. It’s not worth the uncertainty.

Our order was late but we totally understood as it is Saturday evening and they will be busy. When good arrived it was fresh and piping hot, we also got a complimentary beer and popadoms! Best Indian around we love the food from here!

Food not up to usual standard. Onion bhaji soggy, salad looked like it was made the day before. Curry was more tomato than chicken rice had hard bits. Usually love the food from here but like we ordered from a different restaurant.

we ordered ar 8.35 the food arrived at 10:10 we rang at 9.40 and were told it was 5 mins away and were sorry as they were down a driver . food was good but anything would have been we waited too lomg

Food tastes really good and delivery was on time. The only issue I had is, they gave me boiled rice instead of pilau rice without mentioning that there was no pilau rice - I assumed it was a mistake.

Really disappointed the food didn't taste like it normally does. The naan bread burnt, chicken tasted different and the sauce wasn't as sweet as normal it was very bland. Chips were barely cooked. Didn't eat any and now needing to make tea. Waste of money!

3 and a half hour late food but only because we went to the restaurant itself after waiting for delivery. Absolutely no words, just abysmal service, no manager as he was on delivery, had to wait half an hour for food on top of the 3 and a half hours we already waited after arriving, when we got home 2 of our dishes were not even cooked properly, chips went straight in the bin as they were just soggy and warm. We paid a lot of money for this and couldnt recommend any part of the dish. Will avoid this place in the future.

Over 2 hours late (understand it is NYE) wrong rice sent, ordered 2 chappatis sent 1 naan, missing a curry and the curry was watery and the chicken was dry. By far my worst experience at cinnamon which is a shame as I usually enjoy it.

Over one and half hours late. Still no food, restaurant not answering calls and they have put status ‘delivered’ on my order. Zero stars

Didn't mind that the food was late - expected with it being nye. But some of our food was undercooked and we received the wrong items too.

New Year’s Eve tired of cooking so thought we’d order a takeout Food ordered at 17:37 arrived 20:10 called the restaurant at 19:00 to see where the food had got too the guy who answered was talking to someone else rather than being helpful with me told me they were busy and practically hung up anyway food eventually arrived and it was cold and bland 1 of the curry’s tasted like that Chinese curry powder you mix with water absolutely disgusting chicken chaat the chicken was shredded like it had been cooked on a full chicken then cut off the bone and reheated in the sauce chips were cold and rubbery won’t order here again even if they were giving it away only upside was the delivery driver who was apologetic and pleasant waste of £35

Cinnamon could not fulfil my order as they’ve taken far too many for New Year’s Eve and couldn’t complete it. After an hour of trying to contact them, because imy order was late, they said it would be another 1hr and 40mins!! I await my refund!!!

The best Christmas day at the cinnamon restaurant food absolutely delicious 100% service from all the staff I would definitely be to book for Christmas day very good value for money. Thank you to Abdul Boshor and all the staff for making our Christmas so special. ❤❤❤

The food was tasty enough and all on time but the Masala was a disappointment, it was basically just a red Korma . It was so coconut and not a ounce of spice, I even had to add my own chilli flakes.

Watery tasteless curry, used to be good

Waited two hours for bland awful, curries had no taste, Nan was charcoaled and onion bhaji tasted like dough. Very disappointed won’t be ordering again

Wasn't Impressed. Bland food. Arrived late. Called restaurant who seemed dismissive. They also ignored my note to have very few vegetables in curry that was crammed full and barely any sauce.

The food is great but the delivery time was off - this has been a regular feature of this restaurant and I have switched to another. Great shame as excellent food
