Churchfield Food Store in Ealing

I so much want to like this place. But I had the most shockingly bad salt beef sandwich I’ve ever had in my life… A few tiny scraps of limp, flabby, wet stuff that tasted like dog meat, in a flavourless bit of stale bread. I so want to support local traders… I do hope this is a one off. If you do go there, it’s almost worth ordering a salt beef sandwich to see how truly appalling it is.

I love this little local cafe. The coffee 🤩 it is amazing, as are the juices, sandwiches and other food items, plus offering a shop with authentic Italian things is a stroke of genuis, as we can replace Sainsbury's and single use plastic with support for small business. Plus, the fact that most people talk Italian makes me feel like I am actually in Italy, coupled with authentic Italian food, makes it a wonderful experience, as well as a nice cafe

Have been using this cafe/food shop for a number of years. They sell wonderful Italian produce, great food, and excellent coffee. They used to also have wonderful service. But in the last few months, the service has dropped off a cliff. Instead of the cheery staff, doing all they can for customers, smiling, being polite, and making you feel like you are wanted there - it is now a couple of sullen guys who don't seem to want the customers in there. Very very sad. This used to be such a great institution. Customers are very hard to win, and very easy to lose. I do hope somebody reads this and fixes it. There are other cafes opening in Acton, and I just am not going back there unless it improves.

Visited one afternoon with the intention of having food and wine. Unfortunately the attitude of the female brunette cashier was a huge turn off. After taking our order, she proceeded to chat (in Italian) to other diners while we waited. Finally, she sloppily served our food (cold inside). We had already finished our food and our wine had still not arrived. She continued to chat (in Italian) to another member of staff while we were kept waiting. Upon asking for a refund for the wine as we decided the atmosphere was horrid, the slammed the cash down and walked away. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

One of the best coffees in Acton (they even have a Lavazza ice coffee machine) serving up amazing sandwiches while you pick up some charcuterie to take home. From wines to best brand dried pasta, burrata to fresh anchovies. A gem combo of a shop and cafe.

I just ate the most delicious sandwich of my life. Spicy salami with mozzarella and rocket - melted in thin Italian bread with crispy outside. The only disappointment was when it was finished.

This is a great authentic Italian Deli - all the staff are experienced and they really care about what they are serving. I can't really fault it other than its a bit pricey. But, if you want quality it's worth it. The coffee is consistent too - always smooth and they don't scorch the milk.

Good food very tasty. Not cheap but worth it. They are listed on the government website for the eat out to help out scheme but are not giving this discount to customers which is odd.

A real gem located in Acton, this is a great Italian deli-bar serving a great array of lunchtime meats, cheeses, sandwiches, salads....and more! Slightly pricey but quality and ambience make it excellent value. The service team are clearly a very happy bunch and make you feel quite welcome. I go at least once a week and have not yet managed to work my way through all the gorgeous options.

Been coming to this local restaurant regularly but today *froze* because a delivery man was keeping the door open for at least 10 mins and was rude when I pointed out my food was cold. Wasn't impressed by the staff response either. Not sure if I'll be back. Plenty of other really good options.

Just discovered this place. Had a lovely glass of wine with charcuterie & cheese I selected from the counter for £11. Really reasonable. The atmosphere is really nice. I will be back!

This cafe is a great asset to Acton, truly Italian Quality in everything. Coffee is the best in the area, I also love the all Italian products that there sale here , just a test of Italy in Acton. Its fantastic...

Staying in Acton (car sitting), we soon established Churchfield Food Store as our daily go to for a good coffee and croissant! The interior is lovely and relaxing and a few tables and chairs outside too. The service from the staff is welcoming and the coffee (they serve illy) is lovely. They do food and sell food items but we have only enjoyed croissants and toast and jam here. It’s certainly, as far as we can see, the smartest coffee shop on the road and the clear number of regular customers speaks for itself. They have a loyalty card system and dogs are loved in too. Will miss this place.

Great atmosphere, high quality produce, absolutely delicious focaccia sandwiches and coffee. Italian products at the back of the shop and fresh cheese/ham/hot food available too. Run by actual Italians. Best café on Churchfield Road by a long shot.

The coffee is ace here - and I have tried every outlet in the area. Its all very Italian so you can fill up your olive oil bottle, buy some cheese or panettone before settling down for coffee and bombolini (such ace bombolini) or later...

This is a lovely, though very small, Italian cafe near the Acton Central overground station, serving tasty sandwiches made with excellent, fresh foccacia bread! Very tasty!

Gorgeous Italian cafe near the Arch climbing wall (go for a climb to work up an appetite!) Delicious fresh sandwiches made using rosemary focaccia baked on site, homemade arancini, excellent coffees and sweet treats, friendly staff. Would highly recommend.

It's nice to see this new foodie place in Acton thrive. Though it has serious competition on the road, it is resolutely ploughing its own unique furrow, successfully. It's pricey of course but the quality is good. A place to treat yourself.

The customer service is great.. the coffee even better. They have a wide selection of authentic treats and a good range of deli products. Been there a few times...swing by if in the area.
