Brilliant tasty food- highly recommend - bread is so fresh- fillings deeply filled and beautifully wrapped and good service

Fresh ingredients and a wide array of sandwiches to choose from. Service with a smile, even in busy hours. Have been coming here on and off for years, recommending them to everyone I can. Prices are reasonable and the sandwiches are very filling, you won't be left wanting a desert. Best sandwiches in Maidstone by a country mile.

Ordered 4 platters of sandwiches for my husbands birthday party. So many compliments about how fresh and tasty there were. Loads of filling and the bread was super fresh. Thank you so much.

Have been coming here on and off the last 3 years and can say without question you get the best sandwich in town Always fresh tasty produce served on the freshest white or granary door stop slices, hence the name of the shop. Or you can have a wrap that they somehow manage to fill as much as the sandwiches. Or they will make you a fresh salad or jacket potato that are equally delicious. All in all, i have yet to experience an off day and can just give it the big thumbs up.

I have been going to Chunkys for over 10 years and have always had amazing sandwiches, great thick slices of tasty bread and stuffed with fillings, with great filling options. They don’t skimp!

This does great sanwhiches at reasonable prices. All made to order so you can have what you like. The bread is amazing definately chunky. They have a few seats upstairs if you want to eat in. They also do jacket potatoes and salads. Great place for lunch

Tussen twee meetings waren we op zoek naar een deftig sandwichbar waar we snel iets konden vinden om onze maag te vullen. Chunkys is volgens mij de beste plek in Maidestone voor smaakvolle sandwichen. Ga er zeker even langs!

Just popped in first time for a cuppa tea and a coffee was very friendly man there the tea was a really nice cup of tea perfect infact .toilet was clean and a nice little stop off whilst shopping they do food but we wasn't Hungary

The sandwiches here will quite simply blow your mind, they are HUGE and will most certainly fill you up. Great value for money and staff always seem happy to see you.

Whenever we work in Maidstone we have to go to Chunkys it's our little treat for a great lunch I highly recommend you try the Duck! You won't be disappointed on any of the choices! Great place you would be mad not to visit!!!! 5 stars!

When I worked in Maidstone I'd always come here for lunch - amazing value for giant well-filled sandwiches. Would recommend the Bacon and Chicken!

Can't recommend this little take away enough. The sandwiches are really tasty and quirky. Personally I love the peanut butter and strawberry jam!

He estado visitando las rústicas 'durante años y puedo decir honestamente que nunca he comido un sándwich mejor o más grande. La mermelada chili que utilizan en el bocadillo de bacón crujiente es deliciosa, el pan que no se está sólo suaves y cortados en rodajas de tamaño enorme puerta y el servicio del equipo de allí es amable y agradable. Nunca se entender por qué la gente al final acabamos comiendo en la tienda sándwich cadena en la esquina cuando este está a sólo unos minutos a pie! Yo siempre recomiendo este tesoro escondido a amigos y familiares.

Yo trabajo en Maidstone Chunkys y visitar al menos una vez al mes- se llama Chunkys por una razón - sándwiches son macizos - un montón de abundante y hecha delante de ti, llegar antes de la hora de almuerzo ya que hace caer más concurrido que "metro" - Comer fresco - Sí! - En la puerta de al lado. Recomiendo las salchichas y bacon, Atún variedad, New York Deli y el Minty cordero - su elección de pan fresco cortado grueso blanco o granero. Stick francés, envolturas y cajas ensalada están disponibles y chaqueta de patata. Patatas fritas, pasteles, café, té, refrescos están disponibles como cabe esperar de un personal amable y una comida estupenda - precios razonables. Busque el sandwich de la oferta del día. Recomendado.

Eran lo mismo: mermelada lleno, un montón de opciones y un llenado precio competitivo - perfecto! Capaz de pedidos por adelantado. Sin duda volveremos cada vez que estoy en Maidstone :)

Bad News for the owners, I've managed to stop coming in every day so I've got some money left at end of month now. Highly addictive best sandwiches in Kent, if not the UK

Today I had the chicken and chorizo sandwich with my salad, on white bread with mayo and oh wow, so yummy. Nice big thick slides of bread, enough mayo that it wasn't sickly, big chunks of chicken and chorizo that it was stuffed. If I'd had salad as well, I think it would have been falling apart every time I took a bite lol. Very tasty, best sandwiches in Maidstone and they aren't expensive either

I've had a few more of the sandwiches since my last review and my favourite is definitely the peking duck with no salad. Just the right amount of filling and sauce so that it isn't dry or falling apart to be a nasty mess, it is 100% perfect.

Having worked in Maidstone for almost two years, I regularly visit Chunkys for their amazing sandwiches. They have many sandwiches to offer, all of which are freshly prepared by order. The staff are very friendly and the shop is in an excellent location just off Maidstone High Street. I look forward to many more delicious sandwiches in the future.

Love going here, had the green Thai sandwich and it is lovely even with the lettuce and tomatos in it as well. Loads of filling so it was hard to keep hold of lol. lots of sauce so it wasn't dry. It was completely perfect and very filling.

I can't believe that I didn't know about this place. A guy I work with told me about it so I went along at lunch time and was greeted by a long queue going out the door. I was quickly served but due to the amount of people before me, I had to wait 15 minutes for my sandwich so I'm going to make sure I pre-order in future. I had the firecracker chicken sandwich and it was amazing! The bread is really tick, there was so much filling that it was falling out and it was delicious. I'm going to keep going back so I can go through the menu

Never had a bad sandwich here. You get what you pay for and its excellent. For the same price as a subway you get fresh, good quality ingredients and support a local, independent business.

I popped in to grab a sandwich on my way home after shopping. Really friendly staff and even the standard cheese and pickle sandwich was really tasty! Really reasonable price and much better than the supermarket packet sandwiches! Would definitely recommend.

The place to go for a sandwich in Maidstone - you'll never want a shop bought sarnie again. Gorgeous fresh doorstep bread, excellent choice of fillings with the perfect mix of salad & sauce. Can recommend the minty lamb & the sausage & bacon fillings. Local delivery too.

These are the best sandwiches in Maidstone. Handmade while you wait on think cut fresh bread with your choice of filling and reasonably priced. Why would you by prepackaged when you can get freshly made to your specification for the same price or less?

If you want a good sandwich this is the place to go. They make them while you wait on fresh chunky bread and so much filling you might have to eat it with a knife and fork. They also do jackets and salads. They have a small room upstairs if you want to eat in.

Oh my gosh.... Where do I start! This place does the best sandwiches I have ever tasted in my life and at such reasonable prices! It's just behind a subway and I can't understand why anyone would go for that processed chain rubbish when this is nearby! The team are always friendly, even when they are rushed off their feet, and their making method is efficient and unfussy! I have no idea where they get their bread from but it's soft and fluffy with a good crust and always sliced into huge doorstep pieces! I always go for the crispy bacon and sausage on brown bread...with extra red peppers and red onions! Which is great as the bacon is actually crispy and the chilli relish stuff they use is delicious! I've dragged countless people along, and even when I lived quite a way away, this is the first place I always visited... It's also great that they have an excellent hygiene rating too!

Although the shop it's self is tiny the same cannot be said for their sandwiches, there is a vast choice of fillings to suit all taste which you can have as a sandwich or salad, the bread is freshly made every day for them ( my favourite is the granary), the prices are very good considering what you get.A must is their millionaires shortbread which again is made daily and melts in the mouth, you will not find a better one anywhere in Maidstone I guarantee, if you are in Maidstone I recommend you pop into Chunkys.

Such good value for money and they are very generous with the sandwich fillings.Good variety on the menu and you never have to wait long. Bread always tastes fresh tooOnly negative thing is the upstairs area where you can sit isn't particularly nice. But as a takeaway place it's perfect.

Massive fan of Chunky's in Maidstone. Try to go there everytime I head into town. Friendly staff, tasty sandwiches, this is the perfect lunchtime treat for a great price.

Sometimes nothing more is needed than a chunky bacon sandwich and that says it all. The price was fine, the butty was quick.

Not a restaurant, but an unassuming sandwich bar. Limited seating upstairs and down, but worth any lack of comfort for a great sandwich at a very reasonable price.

Lovely sandwiches with average prices. The staff always serve you straight away when walking in the store. However the lady didn't wash her hands before making my sandwhich which isn't great. Apart from that, I always come here and would recommend this sandwhich bar to anyone who's in the town!

Chunkys does what is says on the tin.. it provides doorstop style soft sandwiches with more filling than you can shake a strick at. They often have nice cake too.. not sure if this is home made??It's not posh but it's brilliant value for money.. I always come out with a full belly. Go there you won't be dissapointed.

Go here regularly at lunchtime and the food is great. The sandwiches as you would expect are chunky and filling and you can choose pretty much anything you want. The meal deals are great value and the sandwich of the day is always nice. Go and enjoy!

Brilliant food and always served with a friendly smile... I eat in their almost daily and have never once been disappointed.. I would recommend the reggae chicken in a wrap

First time I came to chunkys my mouth actually fell open with the amount of filing they were putting into my sandwich. The sandwiches are huge and the menu has a great choice. I would just recommend not getting the french stick as it is impossible to finish! Best sandwiches in the world!!! Staff really friendly too. Not the best sandwich shop in Kent, best in the world by miles.

A new find by myself in Maidstone as sick and tired of all the regular chain options and what a fantastic find!!!! Best sandwiches by far, loads of choice, great food and very reasonable prices!!! Am very much a regular now and no chance of getting bored as have so much to choose from, even tho chicken & bacon bagette is a fav!!!!

Chunkey's Friday's come but once a month at my school. Staff in the staff room always waiting in eager anticipation for the site manager to get back. No-one has ever had anything but good comments and we're working our way through the whole range, still.

My colleagues and I ordered a variety of sandwiches over the phone which were delivered to us very promptly. Possible the best sandwiches we have had.

Without a shadow of a doubt chunkys is the best sandwich bar i have been to. Their sandwiches are huge and with a generous portion of filling, the menu is very large with a lot of variety and the service is top notch. Definitely worth a visit.

The most FABULOUS sandwich bar in Maidstone and only two doors away from Subway its worth the extra 2 seconds walk.
