Chun Ho in Newport

Always early, hot food tastes lovely and reasonably priced. Friendly staff

I love the Chun Ho but their delivery times are just too long now.Its a shame but will have to stop ordering until it improves !

Ordered through Foodhub, spoke on phone to confirm if open (Chinese New Year). Very polite and professional on the phone. Very happy with ordering experience, punctual delivery and of course with order. Generous portions , reasonable price, very good quality and great taste. Generous sized bag of prawn crackers on the house too. This was our first order, won't be our last. Keep up the good work guys.

I wanted a nice meal and delivered on time especially as it was New Year's Eve so justed wanted to relax. Chun Ho was absolutely bang on again.Thanks all for such good service and food in 2024 and hopefully it will continue in 2025.By far the best Chinese on Just Eat.

I think the food was cooked by Russel BLAND . We are new to the city and rear some reviews and chun ho was a strong contender . But the food we received was so flavourless . Ordered a chicken with green peppers in black bean sauce and we got beef . Sad to say but it was the first and the last .

Great portion size for rice and beef curry, grilled dumplings were especially delicious and had a good quantity but are a bit over priced.

The chicken and sweetcorn soup was too sweet, tasted like sugar was added. The beef curry and rice were really great.

food was delivered later than originally stated, but it is a Saturday night and I was kept up to date. It was still piping hot when it arrived and everything was delicious as always. Cant recommend this place enough.

People were very friendly but the food was lacking taste and quality. House chow mein was not that good. Salt and pepper wings were quite good though. It’s been such a long time when I’ve had good Chinese food. Sad but I won’t be going back.

As a take away meal it was quite expensive compared to other Chinese restaurants. The quality of the food was average. There was no egg in the egg fried rice. Late with the delivery. All in all disappointing.

Mixed bag really... the salt and pepper chips were cold and tough, the chicken wings were cooked fine but cold, the chow mein smelled like it was done in a burnt pan. The crispy beef was great and the ribs were good.the delivery was only 15 min late, so the chips and the wings stood for quite a while.

Ordered a meal for 2. Starters were fantastic - spare ribs and duck. However, the chicken main was an awful texture and there was no way we were eating it. King Prawn main was average in flavour.

I ordered sweet and sour king prawn balls and got burnt bits of prawn in batter and also salt and pepper squid but got Calamari rings like you buy from Iceland for 99p a bag and was charged £8 for a cheap soggy but rubbery substitute the only thing that I can say was nice was the chowmein but really poor quality food never worth £28 and to top it off it all arrived wrapped in chip shop paper and was all in the same cartons that you get a kebab in not how Chinese should be no wonder it was all so

Very average / poor quality considering the price - half of dishes were cold, slimy chicken, tasteless kung po sauce, and prawn crackers inedible (think they had been cooked in very old oil, disgusting)

Food was late even after adding time to the window. Chicken was a bit slimy, ribs old and dry. Wouldn't order from here again.

Food arrived lukewarm at best, nearly 2 hours after ordering. Prawns found in pork fried rice dish, chips reheated from earlier in the day and soggy. Chicken balls soggy. Duck overcooked. Will never order from here again.

It was ordered at 720, a window of 820 to 840 was given. Then at 820 the window was changed to 830 to 850. Eventually it turned up at roughly 910. Due to the inconvenience I would like a refund.

Best Singapore Chow Mein around

The guide for delivery time when choosing where to order from stated 30mins. Other restaurants said 60 and I was in a hurry so that's why I chose this restaurant. On paying for the order it said 45-60, and then it didn't turn up for an hour and a half

It was alright,the chips had a funny taste and chew like they had been left to go cold and re-cooked. Lemon chicken had a tasty sauce but not a lot of chicken and the foo Yong was an expensive omelette. Wouldn't order again for money spent

Chow mein was so tasty and juicy - amazing portion size too. Didn’t need any soy sauce as taste was great. The salt and pepper chicken was really good too! I also got wontons which were nice and crispy! Shame I’m not a local or I would definitely order again!!

The best Chinese we have ever had im just disappointed I've found out I'm allergic to gluten :( but the chicken satay is the best I've ever had! It's always juicy and the beat chicken I've ever had and my husband is a chef and has worked at 5 star restaurants, its beyond good! The chocolate banana spring rolls are amazing! We've introduced family and friends to them and they just said wow! The duck is excellent too and the chicken balls have recently got way better! The portion sizes are value for money too! Best Chinese ever!

After searching and sampling many takeaways, this by far is now my go to. Great portions, full of flavour, arrives piping hot and good delivery times. Order on their website for the better experience. Easy to order. We won't be going anywhere else.
