Delicious food and friendly staff with a relaxed atmosphere.

Momo had no filling and flavour. You could only taste chilli powder in Aalo Nimki. Very disappointing.

I tried this place on 30/01/2025 for the first time and I can honestly say I was blown away by the quality of the food and the size of the portions. Me and my friend both had starters, he had the chicken chowmein as a main and I had the King Prawn chowmein and it was to die for. We both shared a bowl of egg fried rice and I have never tasted egg fried rice as good as this EVER. The chef even came to our table and explained the different dishes.The service was great as was the price if you have never been here you have to try it you will not be disapointed. I would rather eat the food from here than any chinese take away or resturaunt. The bonus is that you can also get home delivery with deliveroo. It was outstanding. PINKY

I never leave feedback but food was so good that I just had to. Great food, piping hot when it arrived. We really enjoyed it.

Driver was lost. He was driving around for like 15min. Texted him but he didn’t see my message. Momos are great but ramen very oily, overcooked noodles and not well seasoned.

Everything was amazing about this place from food to hospitality. I did home catering for our big family gathering ( 30-40 ppl). The food was on time, delicious and very good portions too. Service was very nice. Food was served in a big and presentable serving dishes where food kept warm for very long time. Every guest of mine praised and enjoyed the food. I really recommend if you require catering service.

We tried Chulo Thakali Kitchen for some Nepalese food, and it was fantastic. The chicken curry and daal were absolutely delicious. Mula Chutney was just perfect. The prices were affordable, and the restaurant had a cozy atmosphere. It’s a great spot for delicious and authentic Nepalese food. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend giving it a try!

Very disappointed with the Thali. Was given 1/4 of a popadom, the salad consisted of a slice of carrot and a slice cucumber. The chicken curry was full of bone fragments and not very appetising. Don't think I'd buy from here again.

2-star in food quality is nothing to do with the taste or quality, rather for their packaging. Multiple times their packaging has been extremely poor that all liquids were spilled and today, I received panipuri without paani (its water). All the water and gulab jamun liquid were spilled in the bag. Please don't say that it's the fault of driver as it has happened many times. I like their food and has been a regular customer. That's wky I have never given a public bad comment, rather wrote this in the instructions for next time. But this time I felt disappointed as I paid so much money for the food and it came in such a state.

In my honest opinion I had best Thakali thalis in other Nepalese restaurants and this one has disappointed me big time. The positive ratings given here are mostly fake. The food was undercooked and it was very bland. The ambience is below average and I would not recommend it.

One of the worst meals I have ever had. It was uncooked and tasteless. I almost fell sick after eating. Even the mango lassi was terrible. Staff seemed busy taking pictures with their friends rather than paying attention to the customers. Looks like the 5 star reviews here are given by friends of the owner. Wish I could give a negative rating.

The worst food I’ve had in a long time. Undercooked and tasteless. Very underwhelming experience and would certainly not recommend. I am sure there’s plenty of better Nepali places around.

Food never got delivered but it say’s delivered for some reason so cannot give rating on how good the food is because never got it or ate it to rate it.

The owner is very friendly You should definitely give the Pork chow mien and Pork Jhir a try.

Friends pointed me in the direction of this restaurant, although under new management, the food is well worth trying, especially the lamb dishes, crispy lamb, absolutely amazing taste. Lots of different flavours, sweet, sour & spicy. The staff are friendly and willing to assist with recommendations. Give it a try.

Lovely tasting food. Great flavours. Good spice levels. Food arrived on time and hot. However, barely any meat. Few small scraps of meat/prawns on the top of a huge bed of noodles that filled the majority of the container. Prawns were the smallest I’ve ever seen and could count them on one hand. Shame!

The order became later and later from 1.30 to 1.53 in the end, the food was very different but a good variety, the lamb dish was quite chewy and not tender, but the taste of the 3 dishes was good. I would try a few main dishes next time, as it was my first order from here.

I had the finest dining experience. After shopping at the festival place in Basingstoke, we stopped for an evening meal. The food was cooked fresh and was delicious. All food was prepared and cooked in a traditional Nepalese way. The staff at Chulo Thakali Kitchen are very polite and friendly, and the service is amazing. The warm hospitality and delicious food made our evening absolutely incredible. This place is highly recommended and should be on everyone's bucket list, especially if you're near or in Basingstoke.

The food was just amazing. We had the sandheko chicken, the chicken thakali thai and the deep fried momo and they were delicious. We would definitely come back and recommend this great restaurant to our family ans friends. Also, the service was great, they reccomend us the food and provide us with a nice experience.
