Always greeted with a warm welcome. Doesn't matter what time of day you go, the food is always top-notch. It's all cooked fresh to order as you can add items (extra cost, of course). The staff know their stuff and are always happy to recommend something. In all the years we have been going there, we have never been disappointed. If you are planning to go on a Friday or Saturday evening, then you will need to book, It does get very busy then, and their online booking is really easy to use.

First time I've eaten here and will definitely return as the food was very good and the restaurant had a nice ambience. I had the Filetto di Maiale and my partner had the Risotto All'amore, both delicious

Really lovely little place. Great hospitality and food was great. Would really recommend if staying at The Norton Park hotel - just down the road and far superior to the hotel restaurant.

Very good food although the main courses could have done with a bit more vegetables. Good service in a pleasant restaurant.

Staff at Amore are friendly and attentive. The food is of mixed quality - a seafood risotto was very tasty with generous amounts of shellfish, but the Caprese salad was served without basil and the calamari was tough and chewy. All in all, it was an enjoyable evening and the prices are reasonable.

Friendly service. The starter was missing the whitebait which was only explained once we'd queried. Calamari was a bit rubbery. Another starter was missing its basil. Mains were ok.

Lovely place great staff, gorgeous food.

I believe that all members of staff should at least know of food intolerances/allergies, but this is not the case here. With that said, they do cater for gluten and lactose free individuals, to a degree. The food is decent enough and service is good all round.

Been going to this restaurant for a few years now. Not quite up to its usual standard. Little things like wobbly table, no table presentation at all outside, no fresh flowers on our table- not enough cutlery on the table. We were not asked if we wanted any water at the start of our meal? We asked for it. Two starters meal was wrong, one of the party were happy to eat theirs I had to wait for mine to be remade - apology for this was rushed. We got asked if we wanted desert before our meal by a different waiter - The homemade bread for the Brusetta Alla Romana was tiny - please consider a better portion size. Finger bowl for the muscles should come ahead of the muscles plus a spoon to finish eating the sauce. Small things - we had to ask for this. No steak knife was offered?! Attention to detail slightly off. Main meals were fine. - It just lacked good table service. Outside, the ambience was lacking. No flowers no candles - lighting in the booths but not on other tables. It wasn't busy so not sure why these things happened. Hopefully our next visit will be better. We each had 3 courses plus drinks- just expect a little more attention to detail and refinment in service.

We booked late via the website & then ended up phoning up to add an extra 2 people to our table which was accommodated even though it was late notice. The place has a lovely cosy feel to it & the staff were lovely. We all had 3 courses & a couple of bottles of wine. The food was all really tasty & the wine good & reasonably priced. If we didn’t live so far away I would definitely be a regular visitor!

We went to Amore Italian restaurant Overton for lunch after visiting friends, we where seated right away by there very friendly staff! Food tasted amazing service was excellent, will definitely be back and will definitely recommend to other friends and family

Recently attended for lunch with a small baby, staff very welcoming which isn’t the norm when you have a pram, they went above and beyond with service and even made the effort to try and put up with my mothers learner Italian! We had their set menu for lunch which was very nicely cooked and at a very reasonable price and we did not leave hungry. If in Overton it’s definitely worth a try.

This restaurant is amazing.Can’t believe I found this gem in Overton.We recently moved in the area and decided to dine in last Friday. They have a very friendly team.The food is delicious.The atmosphere was amazing and this restaurant is decorated beautifully in a building with character.Will definitely go back . Grazie Amore!😊😊

It was a delightful dining experience at this remarkable restaurant. I have made a reservation for us at approximately 4 pm on a Saturday, which is typically a quite busy time by the looks of it, but we were still served and had a dining experience like it was a casual day. The food was lovely and deserts were too! To top it all off, we've been served by quite a young waiter, who actually seemed to be highly trained and very friendly and happy to help us if we had needed any more drinks or had any other requests. The atmosphere was lovely too with Italian background music and very nice decorations. Will return, prices are favourable and can be within anyone's budget.

The food was delicious and authentic, although a couple of dishes traditionally veal had pork substitutes. Everything was fresh, and appeared cooked to order. It's a relaxed atmosphere, Italian staff, with no overwhelming background music. The only downside was that it felt cold. Our group kept our jackets on to eat, and I almost never feel the cold! It was a chilly night outside for April, though.

I usually travel to the UK for work and on more than one occasion I happened to pass through Overton, where I discovered this excellent Italian restaurant. Unlike other places that claim to offer Italian dishes, in Francesco's restaurant you can taste the real food of the Belpaese. In particular, I had the chance to appreciate several dishes on the menu, including cannelloni (really delicious) and a salmon fillet, tender and grilled at the right point. I also happened to taste a piece of pizza from a colleague of mine and I must say that it is not the usual "tomato cracker" that they often pass off abroad as the real Italian pizza: the crust was in fact nice and soft, with a really tasty tomato. Although the place was full of guests, I found a great welcome and accurate service: the staff is very attentive and leaves nothing to chance. Recommended for those who want to eat the traditional dishes of Italian cuisine.

Firstly I'm not a serial complainer- most of my reviews are 4 or 5 star. However this was the worst dining experience I have had in a long time. The service was so inattentive as to be non existent. We were left to our own devices with not so much as a "is your food okay?" The food actually was not okay. The quality was poor. The chocolate brownie was so hard - not chewy just hard that it didn't get eaten. The sauce on my main was more of a soup it covered the plate to the edge. Someone on another table asked for the courgette to be removed from her vegetables but was told it arrives all mixed together in the tin 🤔 The restaurant itself needed a critical eye cast over it - dead flowers on some of the tables, worn out and food stained menues etc. I have always said the best restaurant you can get it is a family run local Italian and this was the first time I have been proven wrong on that theory.

We have visited amore at their other locations and been very impressed. Unfortunately, this was not the case at Overton. We waited well over an hour for the main course, it was relatively busy and we wouldn't have had a problem with this had we been informed of the wait or simply a 'sorry for the wait' offered when they did finally arrive with it, neither happened. The pizza was also extremely thick, more like a deep base dominos pizza with very few toppings, and seemed much more American than Italian. Very disappointed in a business we'd come to love and won't be returning.

OMG .. 🤩 wow .. this place got recommended to me .. a must to visit , service amazing , fast, staff so friendly .. food out of this world .. nothing too much for them

We chose to eat an appetizer with homemade focaccia, olives and 3 main courses (two steaks and a salmon fillet with a side of potatoes and salad) at this Italian restaurant in Overton. Francesco's welcome, the friendly staff and the truly special environment were the icing on the cake of our experience. Tasty food and plentiful dish! I will definitely come back to eat at this restaurant which makes you feel closer to Italy even if you are in the UK!

Food fantastic Atmosphere in the corner of the restaurant poor you get ignored unfortunately. 40 minute wait for drinks and rude manager. Such a shame as the food is top quality.

Mixed bag. The starter was poor, comprising frozen prawns and stale bread, but the main course main course was delicious, juicy ribeye steak with very good fries, salad and dolcelatte sauce. Requested a ristretto coffee at the end of the meal at which the Italian waiter looked mystified.

This place is amazing, the smell of the garlic bread cooking made our mouths water, we had 3 courses & it was all delicious. Will definitely be returning & recommending to friends & family. Food was so good we forgot to take pictures 🤦‍♀️

We organised lunch at Amore last Saturday for a large (20+ people) group. We can't speak highly enough of how helpful the staff were during the pre-booking of the menu choices, nor how attentive, friendly and helpful they were on the day. To top it all off the food was delicious, plentiful and quickly delivered. This was not our first visit, and probably won't be our last. Highly recommended.

Lovely restaurant, came down here last night to have dinner with my family and it was absolutely lovely🥰. When we came in we were greeted by very friendly and welcoming staff. The food was absolutely fantastic and the atmosphere was nice and cozy. Overall very nice and special restaurant, will come again😁

Simply superb. True Italian food including specials you'd only find here! Friendly, fast service. Beautiful interior decor. Set 3 course lunch is perfect in choice, flavour and price. Set 2 course also available but you'll want all 3 once you see puddings! Highly recommended. Update: good outdoor dining area too! Update 26 Oct 2023: Still superb food and service at great prices for our set 2 course lunch today. Also see that they now offer the set menu on Friday lunch too. We may make this our Thursday working-from-home lunch treat!

The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing, you get welcomed by a lovely staff, in particular Thomas and giavana, and the food is delicious especially the white wine prawns

We’ve been meaning to come for a while now, so happy we popped in for a Saturday lunch at this gem! Very friendly, very welcoming, clean and well kitted out ! Very much enjoyed our lunch, service was excellent. Just missing wider selection of drinks Only 4x beers, all lagers - suggest adding some darker beers Only 1x cider Magners, not to our taste - suggest adding Inches, Stowford Press or Aspels.

Fabulous, authentic Italian in Overton. Entrance can be a little misleading as this place is cavernous. Pasta cooked to al dente perfection. Calzone was a highlight.

Very nice approach to the client. Positive and smile waitress. Speedy food and very tasty. Run by Italian ppl. Recommend ☕️ Calzone very good 👍 Parmezana pizza with chicken so so - you can taste oregano and not enough salt.

Booked online only an hour before we were due to arrive, but they could fit us in and we even got a window table. (It being a Monday could have something to do with that). Friendly server, who knew without asking that meals can be adapted as they are made fresh so my intolerance to cheese could be accommodated. She also remembered our drinks order - very good! Food was tasty and plenty. The only downside was that it took a while to come - I'm not sure why, as it wasn't very busy. Also one of the desserts we had ordered wasn't available. But all in all a good experience. Knocked off a star for these small inconveniences. Also because my husband told me the flush in the men's toilets wasn't working and when he told them they admitted that they knew but hadn't yet fixed it. :-(

The restaurant was recommended by a friend, and I am glad they did. The staff from the outset were very friendly and helpful. The portion sizes were amazing. During our celebratory meal a large party who arrived after us were complaining that our three year old being too noisy, some hope given that there were 8 diners at their table and all were talking so loudly. But the staff quickly relocated us to a new table the Window seat, and settled our little girl down with fresh roses and a colouring set. I would definitely recommend this family run restaurant for any special meal that you are planning. Excellent service and fantastic food.

Our family and lots of our friends have been using Amore for a few years and we were very disappointed on our recent visit. Our dishes were not of their usual standard, we had pizzas one was burnt and one was soggy. The Branzino dish was also soggy and did not have the accompanying salad. A prawn starter dish was more like a large bowl of soup? Some olives in another starter were very mushy. There were other issues, we didn't complain at the Time, but did mention when asked by the waiter how our meal was. His reply was that their chef has 35 years of making pizzas! Sadly we will not be returning to what once was our favorite local restaurant.

Portion size is good, service is also friendly and good, but they need to work on their meals. Risotto was lacking the flavoursome sauciness that should come from a long slow cook, the Saltimbocca was, basically, overcooked, the Parma ham had lost flavour and texture, and the pork was losing tenderness.
