Rude staff , who couldn’t be bothered to explain muni then served my food on a wet tray . Food was tepid and the rice was flavourless. I regularly use this food hall but I won’t be returning.

Bought 3 bowls with 3 potions/extras 2 bowls were filled with- rice and, 1 with noodle and hardly any space for the extras. So called egg fried rice was dry and tasteless with hardly any egg. The extras/ options were very few. Each bowl cost £8.25 or there about. I felt ripped off so, will not be going there again. I do not recommend it. It is a waste of money.

Terrible restaurant... Portion is so small. When I request the large option the rice was nearly finished and the lady didn't want take a fresh, she said that was fresh but wasn't... Was dried and a bit hard. The Portion supposed to come with 3 tops. Each one came with 4 pieces of each top I choose. I not recommend to no one, I believe you should eat kfc or McDonald's instead (I don't like KFC or McDonald's) Go for something else and I am sure you did the best option

Myself and another 4 friends had lunch today 16/12/2021 and the food was superb. Service with a smile and friendly. They all do the extra mile to make your visit enjoyable. I've read some the reviews and they are vilest. Freshness and quality was all long. # A small note to the owners of the company... the way some customers treat the staff are appalling. Happens the guy who was doing the boxes asking a lady on phone 3 times how he can help her and she just ignored him. Then he served us and she started shouting in a foreign language . So appaling. This one used to be good, but it went down the drain after they refurbished the place. Before that they used to have decent food and decent prices, now it tastes bad. The food is tasteless and overcooked. The chicken balls were so dried and overcooked that they looked like something out of the British Museum. The rice base was was 95% bland rice, 4% vegetables and 1% eggs, and is advertised as egg fried rice. This was my last visit here ever, I’ll be going to Chinatown from now on to get proper Chinese fast food.

I have dined at many Chinese restaurants in my time but I have never eaten food as bad as this place cooked up for me. It's vomit inducing. (I didn't literally vomit but I felt sick that I had to force all of that disgusting food).Absolutely disgusting. AVOID!Venue: 3/5 - Neon coloured and bright, looks like a modern cafeteria (even has trays and plastic cutlery), with the odd anime styled pictures on the walls.Staff: 3/5 - They weren't rude, they were just average staff, trying to finish their shift.Food: 1/5 - Bland, tastes even worse than what it looks. Smelt nice whilst I walked past.Value: 2/5 - Small portions, should definetly be charging less than what they currently charge.Selection: 2/5 - They had 8 different types of chicken (including caramel chicken... Wonder what that tastes like?) and you could pair that up with either Egg Fried Rice or Vegetable Fried Noodles. That was it. No special fried rice, no chow mein (the noodles aren't actually chow mein) and no other meat than chicken. Which certainly did not taste like chicken... It was probably horse meat mixed with chemicals. In depth analysis:After many months of walking past the restaurant and admiring the smell, I finally was dragged in by the nose today. They only had 1 type of rice which was egg fried rice (which I didn't pick because it looked extremely yellow and unhealthy, maybe someone spilled the food colouring?) and they had one type of 'noodle' which was vegetable fried noodles. I thought 'Yum! I could do with some chow mein!' I was really hungry so I had a large box (which is not large at all, but regular is tiny) and had chicken in black bean sauce and sweet and sour chicken. I was surprised to know that they only sell chicken in there, no beef or pork or any other meat. I was wary of the sweet and sour chicken because it looked REALLY red (another food colouring spillage?) and there were no sweet peppers (in anything). £1.50 for a soft drink? I'd rather drink my own saliva. The staff were average, but had the audacity to have a tip jar by the counter as if they were incredibly nice. Taste Test:Let's just say that the chicken is definetly not real chicken, it's probably only 50% real chicken. The texture was mushy and food was very VERY bland. The sweet and sour chicken was more batter than actual 'chicken', and the small amount of pineapple that they put it there was disgustingly sweet, like they had added sugar to it. The black bean sauce had no flavour, and the noodles seemed to be undercooked because they were still tough. It was definetly not chow mein noodles. If the two staff at the counters were responsible for cooking the food, they need to find a different shop to work in as this is clearly not their speciality. Whoever made these recipes needs to taste them.In short, you're better of getting frozen Chinese takeaway from your local Iceland. However, if you can, check out Canaan Chinese which is a local Chinese takeaway. It's absolutely delicious and fresh.

The food is ready-cooked and keeping warm in big glass containers, each labelled with the name of the dish. The food is served in a cardboard box - even if you are eating in - and is priced at £5.50 for a base of either noodles or rice and one 'topping' (e.g sweet and sour chicken) or £6.50 for two toppings. I was after plain rice, but only saw egg fried rice or white rice with peas, so when I asked the server if they had plain rice he pointed to the latter. I said I didn't like peas and he said he would try to pick them out while serving me a portion - you can't fault him for trying to problem solve. I went for noodles instead, which were delicious. The sweet and sour chicken less so - it had a fairly manufactured taste. But it was hot, and filling, and fast - I finished my meal with a few minutes to spare and made it to the theatre just in time

The 'food' here was so bad as to repulse me. I felt as if my mouth had been violated by the English rugby team. The 'sweet chicken' was absolutely, unbelievably sickly; it was like eating old rice bubbles which had been soaked in sprite. I have been to China, and have Chinese friends. Rice bubbles in sprite is not something they do in China. The interior design is a disturbing shudder back to the early 90s; a time we would all rather forget. The wait staff were rude and poorly dressed, giving credit neither themselves nor the establishment. All in all, I'd rather eat from a toilet. I feel sick now, and will go. Don't come here.

After coming out of the London dungeons we were starving so decided to go in as it was just there as we came out with lovely views of Westminster and the Thames, should have heard alarm bells when the place was quite empty and they ask you to pay cash first! We knew it was going to be budget at £7.95 eat all you want, but didn't expect it to be as awful as it was..... So much fried stuff, the chips aimed at the kids were cold and dry, it was just horrid....dessert was some dry orange segments..... Wish we'd just gone to the international food market by festival hall for noodles!! Waste of a prime location, should be a harvester or wetherspoons in a place like that so family's know what they're going to get after spending a fortune on the attractions,

its not a classy restaurant, so its doesnt try to be one, its just food that tries to cater for everyone who are in a rush and need to eat something quick. The price also is very generous taking into consideration the location and it being a buffet. And the views are lovely, i believe this restaurant tries to approach customers in a more informal manner and tries to make you feel welcome. All round i think its a great place to eat and enjoy yourself.

after walking around chinatown we was quite hungry. my husband said he fancied some noodles so we visited Chopstix. it was very busy and as soon as customers left their table it was filled within minutes so we took that as a good sign. we had noodles along with two types of chicken dishes and i was astounded at firstly how much food was crammed into the cute boxes we ate out of and secondly at £6.00 each what value for money. you could pick two chicken or vegetable etc toppings to go with your noodles. my chicken had the most delicious orange sauce over it. the noodles were lovely and we was beaten by the portion sizes. my husband loves his food but he couldnt quite manage to eat my leftovers ! will come back here. ps after tasting such lovely chinese food i dont think i will bother with chinese home takeaway anymore after sampling what real chinese food tastes like !

I generally am not a fan of what seem like overly bitter reviews in which people absolutely slate the restaurant or hotel. For this place I will, however, make an exception just in case it saves even just one of you out there in Tripadvisorland from wasting your money. The actually location is amazing - the views out of the windows of the Eye or the Houses of Parliament are great, but you can see them from the pavement outside or even the McDonalds a few yards down the path. Warning bells also should have started to ring when somewhere in such a prime location wouldn't even accept payment by card. Cash only.£7.95 for all you can eat isn't too bad on the face of it, but I challenge anyone to leave here feeling like they have satisfied their appetite - eat all you can physically stand before wretching is more accurate. The food was flavourless, greasy, dull. Tempura vegetables were pretty much a case of "hunt the vegetables", the noodles were cold, and although there was plenty of choice, absolutely none of it looked or was appetising.I implore you, beg you even - if you fancy some good chinese food, take the time to walk the 10mins across the water and up into Chinatown. If you are on the South Bank and looking to grab something quick, I'd suggest McDonalds or the Subway round the corner. Whatever you do, do not go to Chopstix. You have been warned.

Positive points:+ Considered cheap for all-you-can-eat food (7.95 pound + drink). Yes, you can eat as much as you like! + There's always 1 staff who makes sure the buffet area is clean (I've seen one particular staff who keeps coming back to the buffet area to clean the dripping sauce, tempura crumbs, etc)+ Buffet trays are always replenished with hot food from the kitchen. They never leave the trays empty. + If you get the window seats, you can see Big Ben, London Eye or building across the river. Options are quite limited, but they're all hot and fresh from the kitchen. Mind you, it's not a typical Asian or American buffet where you can find 20+ varieties. Not many choices, but it's suitable for big eaters (or those who are hungry). Although the restaurant's name is Chopstix (Noodle Bar), they try to cater simple Western food (eg. hashbrown, fries, sausages, etc). I would recommend this place for backpackers or those who are travelling on limited budget. (There's McD around the corner or coffee shop just across Chopstix, but with 7.95 you can't get much at these 2 places). In terms of taste: some of them (eg. fried chickens, fried noodles) are a bit tasteless (but you can always add more sauce to add the flavour). PS: You need to pay first (and get your plate) at the cashier, and you need to use the same plate to get your food from the buffet area. If you want to have soup, you can get disposable bowls from the cashier too.

The only thing going for this place is the price, that is where the positives stop; when you actually look at what you get for the price yourealise even that is not great.only 50% of dishes were actually Chinese. Fries, onion rings, hash browns, fish fingers, sausages....all of the food was awful.... Cold, soggy, greasy, bad tasting meat. You're are given a plate closer to the size of a saucer to eat off, accompanied by plastic knives and forks. The place is the worst end of. We left after eating very very little.

Visited this place following a visit to the Film Museum, we're sorry we went. My husband went to the bin and slipped and fell on food spillage on the floor. The staff were not interested although they very quickly cleared the spillage and moved the bin! My husband then found that although he was not injured his iPhone was not working. He asked to speak to the manager and was told there was no manager only a superviser, who had no knowledge of health and safety and would not take a record of the accident, she said there was no accident book or means of recording this! She put my husband onto the phone to the "manager" who was very obnoxious and blamed my husband for slipping on the food spillage. He got no where on the phone and is now left with an iPhone that doesn't work. Be very careful in this restaurant. (the food was ok)

I paid £7.99 to eat dry, cold rice, watery sweet and sour 'chicken', cold noodles (despite this being a 'noodle bar' there is only one noodle dish, which tastes horrible), greasy prawn crackers, and chewy, cold french fries (the selection was so small of other food that I settled for some fries). I left after one plate, still hungry, feeling sickened and disgusted that a restaurant so close to major tourist attractions serves such terrible food, COLD. Surely this is a violation of the food health laws . I will not be returning to here, it's not worth the very likely risk of food poisoning.

Very good location (in County Hall facing the river) and reasonable price for the area. All you can eat and food quite tasty but not a huge choice. Also did not take credit cards which is unhelpful in a tourist area.
