Up there with the best I have ever had around the u.k. I am 51 and tried a few. Yes you may wait a little when busy but that's because it's that good. How many.place do they que out the door. (With a smile on there faces)

The chopstick house is a traditional Chinese takeaway. The menu's Mostly the same as other Chinese takeaways in the area. I had the chicken chow mein, the chicken pieces were a bit on the big side and a bit bland, there was not as much sauce or vegetables as I've had at other Chinese takeaways. The food was ok but it's not as good as my favorite Chinese takeaway.

Food never fails!! Get plenty of it. Definitely worth the wait!! Cash only which is annoying. The only thing that they seem to can't get right is the prawn toast.

After reading this takeaway was Hull's no.1 Chinese takeaway we thought we'd give it a try. Sorry to say it was very disappointing. Special green pepper and black bean lacked flavour and sauce. Only found 2 large prawns, the rest were minute. Not much green pepper and the meat was flavourless. The chicken chow mein was good, but the chicken pieces need to be bite size. The chips were extremely dry and the prawn crackers were stale and flavourless, bearing in mind we actually paid for them. We've tried a lot of Chinese takeaways and to be honest I wouldn't rush back. Plus they only take cash which is a bit antiquated especially as nearly everything now is contactless. I remember the server Tom from when I was a young girl and found him tonight to be quite abrupt and not very welcoming. All in all extremely disappointing.

Absolutely shocking, ordered first time asked for the chips well done; got home they were barely cooked. Came back straight away and placed a new order (stressed can we have the chips well done) and they were exactly the same. Gone right downhill since Tom stepped down his ownership, such a shame as it used to be the best

Ordered on Sunday night and was ready to collect in 15 minutes. We ordered various starters, which were good size portions, all piping hot and very tasty. The mains were amazing, again good size and tasty. Got a free bag of prawn crackers with order and friendly service. Can’t wait to go back.

First time using this Chinese. Will highly recommend the Chicken fried rice, chips and curry sauce. Tasted really nice. Will definitely use again. Also nice to find a Chinese take away open on a lunch time.

Ordered for the first time from Chop Stick Ings Road Hull, the food was excellent and plenty of it. The food was hot and very tasty well worth another visit, would I recommend it, yes I would. Not sure why one person gave a 1 star review, must be a grudge.

We ordered a takeaway from Chopstick House yesterday evening by telephone and was told it would be ready for collection in ten minutes. The food was hot when we got home and was very tasty indeed. We ordered mixed hot starters for two followed by Duck in Sweet Chilli Sauce with boiled rice. It was so tasty . Thank you for a lovely meal.

I recently returned to Hull to visit family and had a craving for the Chinese takeaway that I used to visit weekly over 20 years ago. My family no longer live in this part of Hull but for nostalgia’s sake I made the trip to Tom’s. I was not disappointed! The food was even better than I remembered. Still the best Chinese I’ve ever had. What’s more it was lovely to still find Tom there who was as friendly as ever and even recognised me after all that time. For customer service alone Chopstick house deserves an award. Thanks Tom I won’t leave it so long before I return.

Just had mixed starters and chicken curry with chips and rice and they were both delicious. We usually use another Chinese for our takeaway but saw it had been given a very poor review this week, so decided to give Chopstick House a chance, so pleased we did. We will definitely be going back.

Too many large onion chunks in the curry sauce. The containers are not the plastic type with click on lids they are the tinfoil with cardboard lids. They pack the containers on top of each other in a plastic bag which they tie. I put the bag on the car floor, it tipped over and the curry sauce leaked out of the containers. I don’t think I will go there again....too messy....

We ordered from here before, and it's usually good! Me and my boyfriend ordered roast duck in black bean and the duck itself was off. It tastes very weird, and now my boyfriend is ill from the off meat. It wasn't bad, but still ill. The staff were lovely, and the rest of the food was nice.

Defiantly the the best Chinese by far in hull. And I've tried probably all of them and this one serves the best food. It's cooked to perfection every time boiled or fried rice is allways spot on. And always with a smile. And even thanks you for your custom. Not many do that nower days. I would defiantly recommended this one to anyone who wants good honest food with a quick service. The only thing that let's it down is they do not deliver. Pick up only. But still the best. I'd say.

I have visited Tom's since 1978. It is always good. Tom's a great guy who always has a smile and a wave, and who gets to know his customers. The food is my favourite chinese take away bar none. The plain chow mein is a must have.
