Great food really spacious good customer service

Food was generally good, but some of it wasn't very warm. Good selection available at constantly being check and refilled.

Charged us around £9 for our 2 year-old. She only had a spoonful of plain rice and a small bowl of ice cream. Disappointing this time.

Went as a group of 8 on Friday 22 December 23. The food was very good,hot and a good selection. Not the cheapest all you can eat for the price. What let's the restaurant down is the atmosphere. The decor needs improvement and no table covers. Linen table cloth with paper over the top would suit. Staff very friendly and didn't rush you.

Food was absolutely disgusting. Lukewarm, not enjoyable at all, spoke to manager who said they won’t refund full price for us. We had barely touched the plate! Avoid at all costs.

I recently visited Chom Chom with my family and we had a pleasant experience. Upon arrival, we were informed that they didn't have a veg buffet available that day. However, the staff at Chom Chom kindly offered us the option of ordering from their Indian veg food menu. We decided to give it a try and we were pleased with the taste and authenticity of the Indian dishes we ordered. The staff members were incredibly humble and kind throughout our visit, which added to our overall satisfaction. In terms of pricing, we found it to be reasonable considering the location. Another great advantage was the availability of free parking at Waitrose, where we were able to park for 1-1/2 hours. Overall, the experience at Chom Chom was enjoyable and we appreciate their efforts to accommodate our dietary preferences.

Great choice of varied foods from Asia. The noodles are cooked to order and are amazing. Lamb Indian curry always good too. Nice cheese cake.

It's self service but there is always someone to help. Sometimes they are slow to refill the most popular dishes. There is a limited and frankly poor choice of deserts but the ice-cream machine is fun. Overall Good value and good food.

After reading some of the poor reviews we were unsure whether to try this restaurant. We're so glad we did. Whilst there wasn't a massive selection on the buffet, what was available was absolutely amazing. The flavours of both the indian and chinese dishes were fantastic. Staff were also very helpful and attentive and refilled the buffet selection when asked. Highly recommend this restaurant. We will definitely be back

There is very few items to choose from, and what there is available it’s pretty boring. The noodle counter was nice, and the chef comes out and cooks it to your liking. The bowls at the item machine was so dirty I had no choice but to have a cone. And the cake section was so meh, was rather dry and again boring. The overall cleanliness of the place was bad, typical stained chairs and dirty cutlery/ plates and bowls.

Arrived at approx 1730 on a Friday and got a plate of food that was average to taste and limited in variety. About 15 mins later approximately 40/50 Chinese children arrived and swiftly cleaned out the buffet like a plague of locasts. The food was not replaced quick enough, even all the cakes were gone and the Ice cream machine also ran out. If the restaurant knew this party was arriving why not lay on extra food and staff. A very bad experience. All our party of people does not recommend this restaurant one bit

Cannot fault this restaurant at all. Food was tasty, plentiful, and lovely and hot. Mixture of Chinese and Indian selection which on a midweek evening I thought was excellent. No complaints from me whatsoever, and I would gladly go back.

Food was OK, some items were rather dry. Customer experience was quite bizarre with man kept coming to take our plates randomly. He really needs to learn to smile as he appeared quite off putting.

Good Asian restaurant. The food tastes fantastic. Recommended for try if you like Asian cuisine. Staffs are humble and friendly. Most of the items are halal. The seafood was well cooked; the chicken items were also delicious.

Chom chom was a ok. But they would be better opening as a take away noodle resteraunt as their noodles were brilliant, everything else was average.

Awful, if I could give one star I would. The selection of food was extremely poor as well as the quality. We ended up leaving hungry. Not only that when we come to pay the bill the staff member walked away with my bank card out of view without asking and put the payment through with contactless. Very unprofessional.

Awful buffet. We were 9 people went there and all of us were terribly disappointed by the item range( only few items), the plate size , the food itself, their service ( the food ran out but they did not fill it up) . The options are so small and some dessert dishes were empty and they just left them like that. They purposely did that. We paid 160 pounds and the food and their service was terrible. It was like daylight robbery. We wouldn’t recommend this even if it was 5 pounds per person. Not worth it at all. Avoid this place.

It's an all you can eat buffet with mainly Asia foods (though there is pizza and ice cream too!). The food was tasty, the environment was welcoming and the service pretty good. Not far from the station and town centre.

Ordered through JustEat. Ordered a butter chicken, it was the completely wrong texture, consistency and did not look like a butter chicken at all. It was very spicy, I order this dish knowing it is mild due to health reasons. I called the restaurant to try and resolve it, however they could not find my order to start with, then was told it was the correct dish, they just added extra spices into the dish, apparently that is how butter chicken is meant to be, I have never had one like that. The man on the other end of the phone tried to hang up on me mid conversation as he obviously couldn't be bothered with me anymore, he argued with me and basically told me I was wrong. Told me there was nothing he could do. This was my first and last time ordering from this restaurant, wouldn't recommend to anyone.

All the food is great but the duck is incredible and the prawn toast is the best iv ever had. Plenty of choice eat as much as you like and nice choice of deserts too if you've still got room.

Looks nice enough for sit down but terrible service for takeaway. Ordered, went to pick the stuff up, the. Got told one of the dishes wasn’t available (although everything else was ready) - something they should have said when ordering. Asked for something else that we thought would be quick. 50 mins later I am in the restaurant still waiting. Which means I will probably end up with one hot meal and 5 cold ones.

Ordered VEGETABLE chow mein and fried VEGETABLES. But somehow ended up with a prawn in one of them. Luckily I don’t have a shellfish allergy….. (I do.)

Ordered from here through Ubereats. It was a £30 order and they delivered to the wrong person. Then I called up to ask what had happened and they said they could send out another order. Once again, it says it’s been delivered when it hasn’t. We called up again and they told us they had delivered it and described a girl that did not look like me at all. I said I could come in with my ID and security footage showing it wasn’t me but they told me it wasn’t their problem and hung up. I tried calling the delivery driver who said the same thing. The workers at Chom Chom then started denying that anyone under my name had ordered and hung up on me. Very rude service

Awful really! The food is bland, old, and full of fat. Most dishes available were swimming in oil. Disgusting!! The best thing was the bread which was cooked fresh for us. The staff were non existent and rude!!! They were however interested and polite to another party of people who were all of Chinese origin. Tried to also overcharge me and didn't even apologise. If you want to waste your money and clear your stomach with being sick and diarrhoea then I recommend using this place. Needs shutting down. Dirty rude place. -1/10

Do not buy from here. Ordered special fried rice and got rice with absolutely zero flavour. It tasted like it came straight out of the rice cooker, very plain.

Wanted to give six stars but It wouldn't let me, This place is an amazing restaurant me and my older sister come here every year for our birthday dinners and we love it, the food is nice, the staff members are Kind, the bathrooms are kept clean, they even have a buffet here that I love honestly if you haven't been to this restaurant before you are missing out, 10/10 service highly recommended

I celebrated my birthday and we were a group of 10. I enjoyed every single bite of the meal in Chom Chom. Considering the quality of the food, the price was reasonable and plenty of choices for drinks. There was plenty of room for bigger groups. I recommend it to everyone. Will definitely come back again!

Food was really good and the staff were friendly. Honestly felt that the starters were better than the mains. Both cocktails we, the Pina Colada and the Mojito were really good.

Boy cheesy here. Great selection of potatoes. I've never had potatoes in sweet and sour before. The mystery fish thing is nice. Now it's 3 in the morning and I'm still eating this food. Left them multiple missed calls and to my message they reply nothing because it was out of business hours

One of the worst dining experiences of my life. Extremely poor experience, food was bland, options on the menu were not even there! What was even more of a shame was the manager and staff were not even humble enough to take a criticism! What a dissapointment, never again. The staff are very standoffish. I've got a TooGoodToGo bag twice, wanting to give them another chance and both times, they looked at me like I owed them money. There were other customers, who got the same bags and the guy was smiling and wishing them well as they were walking out but as soon as I walked in, his smile dropped. I'm not gonna bother wasting my money here again, there are definitely better restaurants around the area. In other news, the food is meh. You basically get plain rice and a bunch of chicken in different sauces (curry, sweet and sour, etc)

I literally went up to serve food on to my plate and took one look at the disgusting sloppy mess and walked back out. Cant belive they have 4 stars 🤔???., 1 choice of soft drink can't move because tables are to close so they can cram everybody in there. Word of advice avoid this poor excuse for a Chinese restaurant, looked like frozen chicken strips and old produce...... I am now currently sitting outside eating a KFC waiting for my friends 🍗 🍟, owner is extremely rude.

It's not a very big buffet, but the food was nice. I had to visit the toilets there. Not very impressed!! They need a lot of work doing!

Wasn't worth the £36+ they charged us. It wasn't Asian food, it was Indian food and I dont like curry's or spicy foods, it was really over priced and there was hardly any selection of food to choose from. Drinks were over priced too, food was ethier overcooked or dry. We went for our anniversary dinner and it ruined that for us so not happy at all. They didn't even seem like they cared when we complained. EDIT UPDATE: the food made my partner really ill for about a week after eating it, he has had really bad stomach cramps and thrown up twice in that time. He has only just gotten better. Wouldn't recommend going to this place at all. It ruined our anniversary dinner and made my partner so ill he was sent home from work. We havnt been contacted after making this review and havnt had our money back, we don't know how to go about getting it back so all I can do is post this bad review on it.

Drove from London to Canterbury this evening!!! Really enjoyed dinning experience here. The food was hot and fresh, the chefs refilled the food frequently. The staff are super polite and friendly, they take away the used plates from the table as they remain vigilant. The food was tasty, can order chef to make your fresh stir fry noodles, omelette and naan bread . Loved watching the chef cooking up a storm!!! Desserts including an ice cream machine....what a treat. The decore and lighting were delightful. Hopefully will return when visiting the area.

Love a buffet,but the only problem is timing ,food is either getting cold or empty waiting for refills,food was tasty enough and would go back. Returned a further two times. Absolutely worst takeaway I’ve ever had, ordered a takeout for my birthday through Uber spending over £70 and I have to say the biggest waste of money, the food was absolutely disgusting, congealed, lacked any type of flavour, the duck it was awful left all of it ended up all throwing away, felt like the food was not very fresh at all, the satay chicken was dry all in all avoid, tried making a complaint through Uber and heard nothing back

I rarely review, let alone leave a bad review. Aside from the standoffish staff, the food was absolutely awful. I love Chinese food, but this was the worst example of it I have ever had. The food and curries were barely warm, while having a solidified and congealed texture in their trays. The butter curry I decided to go for had a sickly smoky flavour and an unrecognisable jelly substance in it. The deserts looked as if they had been sitting there for a week. I noticed a few signs talking about how they want to reduce food waste, which is great. But it's no wonder they are getting food returned to them when it tastes and looks as it does.

First time we went there really impressed second time not so much didn't even get to have Prawn crackers considering its a chinese mostly currys

Not really happy about there curry and food . Rice was harder for long time no change dishes chicken tikka was also not soft. Just like dine in interior design and the chefs who makes you fresh food instant. Attend dinner time money and value of the food quality overall not satisfied….

Had so many people recommend this place but it was awful . Me and a friend came here for dinner and as we walked in the lady behind the bar asked if we wanted a table I said yes we’ve booked for 2 - she points to the other end of the restaurant and says there… where is there? Got some food , it was average :/ not a lot to choose from for £16pp we had to ask 3 TIMES for water and after asking the first time we was told we couldn’t have water because Its not a drink that costs money off of their menu . Other tables let their kids come up to our table and just sit there … worst experience and won’t return

Been here a few times now and being honest it’s hit and miss. Most recent time was ok, we was sat down but had to request for drinks, usually you’d get asked for drinks after being sat down for more than 5 minutes. Food was a good standard, it’s always the same though, lots of choice of drinks. Service was average, although she was quick to clean used plates. I will be coming again as food is really nice, good choice for the kids, desserts are average, some were stale at the time so not great but can’t fault the mains

Un'ottima alternativa al classico pub inglese. Offerta a buffet all you eat a 15 pound. Cibo vario asiatico, cinese, indiano e thailandese. Locale pulito, personale gentile e disponibile.

A must visit when in Canterbury and you're on a budget.. The food selection is great - although desserts are a bit limited. Very helpful and friendly staff too.

Average food, sadly no satay chicken. Loved the lamb and the masala. Avoid the dessert section, jelly was hard, likewise the cheesecake. Felt like it's been out in that fridge for days. Decor/building clean/well maintained. Staff friendly enough but felt judgement when we didn't fancy ordering a drink. I'd pay £9.80 - £13. Felt a bit overpriced at £18.
