We stopped off for lunch after finding it on Google. We would otherwise have stopped at the Moto services but thought we'd give the Pit Stop a go. Drinks and lunch for four of us cost £30, so on a par with what we'd have spent elsewhere. However, the value was excellent. Service was swift (5 mins or so), toilets were clean and the quality of food was great. The only thing we'd change in future is to order one meal between our two kids - my son had a sausage roll, chips and beans which was such a big portion it would easily have fed both of them. We will revisit if passing in future.

Very good truck stop. Just a pity that the parking lot is closed after 7:00 PM U.K. time is completely full. And when you enter the restaurant there are very few people, while the food there is very good and delicious. That SNAP account has not made it easy for drivers who want to eat there because most pay with Snap and then go back to their truck and eat there.

Great coffee, great food and awesome prices. Everything a decent roadside stop should be. I'll definitely be returning!

Only stopped to have my break although I would loved to have had something to eat but cafe was mobbed and all the seating occupied with families out for brunch, not really into crowds. Shop clean but tight aisles felt a bit claustrophobic, toilets very clean and hot water to wash hands was a must, always look warm to cold anywhere else. Although I visited on a Sunday parking was a joke at 1st I was convinced it was ANOTHER A.W Jenkins owned site just like Penrith & Lockerbie uninviting but the staff in the shop not wearing a Jenkins uniform led me to believe it wasn’t

Only stopped for a cup of tea whilst charging my car. But the food looked great, and the staff were very friendly. Great shop too.

The kitchen staff here need to do the minimum of a level 2 food hygiene and safety, i had mouldy bread sent out with a breakfast, so if they can’t serve fresh bread whats the rest of the food like? And they didn’t seem to be bothered about , not good at all won’t ever be calling in there again

Don't be put off by the lorries. The cafe is excellent serving a wide range of well priced hot food. Quick friendly service. Small supermarket attached for takeaways.

Stayed here in my lorry overnight & i cant find fault, not that i was trying. Its the first time ive stayed here and depending on my journey it wont be last. The food i had, dinner and breakfast was excellent & in my opinion good vaule for money. The staff are really friendly & polite, the shop has everything you need in case you forgot something. The toilets as well as the showers are very clean & hot & powerfull. Really comfotable & quiet over night, its has a night watchman which is reasuring. I cant recommend this enough, this is what a truck stop should be, clean, friendly & comfortable. As i said if im in the area at the end of my day i'll defo be staying here.

Half way between Cardiff and Oxford stopped here to charge the car using their ultra fast chargers. In the 30 minutes needed to get the car to 80% managed a toilet stop, coffee and cake. Really well stocked shop, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Both times found a charger available and didn't have to wait.

Good place to park for the night. Decent enough food, clean showers and well stocked shop. But, and here we go…….it’s too expensive! £35 to park in a truckstop is scandalous! No parking spot is worth £35! Granted you get a shower and £9 meal voucher, which by the time you add a pint to your meal you will have spent between £40 and £50 for a night out. Too greedy!!!

We stopped off for a toilet break and a quick bite to eat. We had great fresh food at very good value as well. The food was better than most pubs offer. Also the staff are very friendly and helpful.

With fast charging available for EVs this is becoming a popular stop. Good homecooked food in the cafe. Could be the next 'Teebay'...

With 9 hungry mouths to feed for breakfast on NY day, we decided to give Pit Stop a try. We were not disappointed! Great menu selection, reasonable prices and a clean and pleasant environment. Immaculately clean loos! There were 9 very content customers when we were finished. Would recommend.

What a disappointment,very limited parking for hgv as local company have clearly taken over.opening times for new year's day was close 15.00 last food 14.00,so after finally finding a parking bay and going to cafe I was turned away at 13.00 stopped serving food.where as the pitstop we all know and like gone.☹️☹️

Visited with my wife last week and to say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. Just off the motorway away from the awful motorway service stations and easy to find. The shop was well stocked and priced sensibly. The toilets were immaculate and working well. The cafe was excellent. The food was very reasonable and really good. All of the staff thought were friendly and seemed to be happy working there. All in all a nice experience and a credit to the owners and staff. I intend visiting again next Saturday and hope to have the same pleasant experience. Well done.

Good lorry parking Monday's to Thursday. Restaurant always does nice food which is always freshly cooked. Shop area has recently been redesigned. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

Bit dubious first time stopped here just used Nisa Local which is haphazard but the attached Pit Stop Cafe is great! Sensibly priced, clean and very helpful service - nice pit stop!

For a Pit Stop is good. Good sized shop and eating area. Clean (and we all know not all of them are). EV charging points (6) with proper quick charge.

Very good in general. Excellent for a truck stop. Far better in every way to you standard motorway services.

Nothing special. Limited variety. Clean toilets. Stopped here to charge our car. The charging station is an anecdote. Almost nothing works.

As it's on our regular route from Somerset to Berkshire, we make this our preferred EV charging stop. 6 ionity chargers, I use electroverse app and get discount on the charge too. Plenty of space, fantastic cafe for coffee breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks all eat in or takeaway, with friendly staff. even take our cockapoo in. 5 stars isn't enough, I'd give it 10.

A lovely Pit Stop. It doesn't look much from the outside, but it has everything you could possibly need for your journey, and more. Great facilities too. Love the mini cosy pub feel 👍

Have eaten there before, and am always impressed by the clean, well-maintained facilities. This is a homely, welcoming place with friendly staff and a wholesome atmosphere. Yesterday, I just popped in to buy snacks. Obviously very popular, as a large number of trucks parked.

Pulled in here for the night thought I'd try the cafe out, staff where jolly and friendly and the food was lovely too. Well recommended

I highly recommend this pitstop for food its amazing ,big size portions and reasonably priced ,friendly staff and the toilets are lovely and clean .M4 junction 17 is definitely the place to go just follows the truck service signs .

Much better than the other over priced service stations , if you're on that stretch of the M4 junction 17 is the place to go for a proper meal. Follow the truck service sign.

Of all the UK truck stops, this is, by repute, the best. Agreed, in my experience. Fresh cooked food with many options. A well-stocked grocery shop. Clean and light toilets. Clean parking area for about 70 trucks. Fuel, too. The operators' care and concern are evident. Also, great EV charging facility and parking for non-commercial vehicles, too.

Never stayed here before as locally based. This has got to be the best truck Stop in the country, high quality food, great shop, good showers and toilet facilities and most of all the staff...!!! Helpful, polite and smiles ....lots of smiles....! Great service Guys and Girls..!!!!!

A really nice little pit stop for travellers. Plenty of parking spaces, well provisioned shop, and clean facilities.

Will not be stopping here again at the weekend. Cafe closes at 230, with no facilities for even hot drinks. Missed opportunity as convenient location and large bank of EV chargers

What an amazing find this is. We stopped to charge the car after hearing a few good words from fellow EV drivers on Facebook and we were not disappointed. The food was great, the staff friendly and informative. I hear they are increasing the number of chargers before the end of the year which is sorely needed. We arrived with about 4 cars in front of us so I waited around 15 mins before getting to charge. My only worry is if the location gets very popular then they'll have to increase in size and lose the friendly family atmosphere. This has replaced Leigh Delamare as our midway to Wales stop.

Arrived 1130 all chargers in use and a queue fortunately I did not need to charge. Pretty typical pig's breakfast which typifies UK charging at present. BTW at least one charger appeared out of order. The actual stop is fine.

der Shop ist ok auch preislich aber der Platz zum parken bischen eng Wäsche waschen 11 eur trocknen 9 Euro. Bei Beschwerden wird sofort reagiert. Mann kann die Parkgebühr auch mit der DKV begleichen

Felt like we’d unlocked a hidden universe. Ended up mtg friend here after local pub we had planned to meet in was closed. Lovely cafe with reasonably priced drinks, helpful friendly staff, and tasty looking food (we will plan to eat in the future). Bonus feature was “TooGoodToGo” bags from shop (via the app)… such a clean tidy, well presented establishment and very well stocked shop. I can’t believe in my decade of living nearby I’ve never been before!
