Came here tonight, was pleasantly surprised. Fish and chips were fried fresh to order and staff were hesitant to give us the chips until they were properly drained from the fryer. Give this place a chance, if we don't use local stores we will lose them all together!

App says open so I order at 6pm, 7:30pm comes I think what the hell no food yet so try ring the shop NINE TIMES NO ANSWER! To have to bike all the way down there for them not to be open and paid by card so now have to wait 5-7 days absolute joke!

Ordered food for 7pm, for some reason food came at 5:50pm, phoned takeaway and arranged to pick order up for 7:10pm, Picked up, pizzas felt cold but was assured that they had just come out of "oven", 😉, Owner said if I'm not satisfied I would get refund! Time will tell on that front but not holding my breath, Very disappointed, if it wasn't for my wife I'd have returned the food. Learn by this people and try else where!! Thanks

Although the reviews on TripAdvisor aren't great, reviews elsewhere were really good so we thought we'd give it a go. Unfortunately, we can't recommend The Chip Stop. The chips looked as though they'd been sitting for some time and were very soggy and greasy. As for the fish, the flesh was OK but the batter had my pet hate - a layer of mushy fat under it. Safe to say, we won't be going back.

Overcharged for a pizza. Charged extra for having one topping on half of pizza! Owner not interested claiming people have been getting away with under charging for years! Rip off

We prefer the flavour to be good and nice and going with the order as the wife wanted sweet and sour chicken wrap with salad and garlic but no sweet and sour and a tiny few bits of chicken my got hoyed out the wife one as no dam flavour thort proper chicken would of been used but no sweet and sour flavour I wanted a chicken wrap but they used chicken nuggets and way far to much cheese when asked for small cheese all to gether bitter taste My son got chicken and kebab meat with chips and salad he eat it all but it had Tikka flavour in he wasn’t to please A shake up of menu should be done not chicken nuggets in wraps and produce a menu that is to its word

Very good choice and selection from there menu waited about 45 minutes for delivery but not too bad as ordered on a Saturday so was probably busy.

Huge range to choose from in the menu with very fast local delivery. Food tastes great the fish and chips was to die for and the mozzarella sticks are nice too.

Ordered a large kebab got a small Ordered nann bread £1:50 I had to finish it off in my oven it was inedible And for the bag of chips 1 large pool of grease with an inadequate amount of deep fried chopped potatoes Call themselves CHIP STOP I reckon they stopped the chips from leaving the shop I wouldn't regurgitate there food to my chic

Were lovely unfortunately the kebab was absolutely vile worst kebab meat we have ever had smelled and tasted like those really cheap beef burgers Honestly vile both got binned chicken Kiev was just chicken no taste of garlic but plenty of cheese however the spicy pizza was really bad the meat tasted sour so that pizza is now in the bin I'm sorry but this place has completely changed nothing like it used to be I did say I'd try once more and if it was bad we wouldn't return so unfortunately we won't be wasted almost twenty for it all to go in the bin again sorry guys plus prices have shot up food gone downhill such a shame

I always order from here every time I get a take away, it's usually lovely, but tonight it was awful, kebab was stone cold, pitta bread was also stone cold and stale! my partner doesn't like chips so always has salad, no salad tonight they gave chips instead! couldn't even eat the kebab at all so it got binned, very disappointed! not sure whether I will order again!

Really love this place but this order wasn't good at all paid 1.50 for bag of chips and they were terrible on this occasion they were scraggly and rock hard the Milano pizza wasn't very nice too much garlic and very thin when I asked for deep pan the kebab very dry Pitta bread also rock hard was so disappointed as I love the chips etc usually didn't eat very much of the meal at all 1 slice of pizza and a couple of bits of kebab meat shame really nice other times and they've put prices up but food seems to get worse don't understand that hey ho I'll try one more time if it's bad I'll find another place to try so sorry for the not so good review guys

We order here almost every week and its great. this week they werent up to standard, fish was soggy and pale batter, no extra batter on either portion of chips either. very poor. delivery guy brilliant as always.

Furious ordered a kebab and a burger and received cheesey chips and a battered sausage! Justeat were herendous trying to sort this out! Do not order through this restaurant or justeat! Never been soo disappointed. Total joke

I paid for a pizza and garlic dip. I did not receive garlic and told delivery driver, he said he would return with it but did not . I was ****ed off as I paid for it and like pizza with garlic . I will be asking for a refund regardless of price. NOT HAPPY!!!!

Nice food BUT don't expect them to deliver when you ask, we ordered 2hrs in advance for a party, food was delivered in 20 minutes - not the 1st time this has happened.

Chicken wrap was tiny, pizza was dry and over cooked I rang shop to complain about food which cost 23 pound was no help at all basically not interested in state of food, said should have salad to make wrap larger. Ended up 2 people not eating what was sent we won't order there again

We've ordered from chip stop many times, however we won't be ordering again the food that was delivered was so full of grease and the chips were tasted like they'd been made the previous day and the fish was over cooked and had bones. Not what I expected and very disappointed!

ordered the x4 wrap meal deal as i have done in past but tonight we were disappointed with our order.. chips tasted as if they were from lunchtime today.. kebab meat was like shoe leather... the chilli sauce was nice although hardly any on garlic sauce is as always spot on.. not sure what went wrong today as weve never had a bad order..

Never disappointed with chip stop, 9/10tines it's early, and my son loves treat night from here if your looking for good food at a good price this is the place plus the batter option is just the best

the chicken was burnt and the chips appeared to be refried. very disappointing as usually they are a lot better than this :(.

Chicken on kebab dry and tasted odd had to leave the full pizza absolutely rank. Ordered small and large garlic. Large clearly watered down totally different to small and even that was watery. Kebab not not nice either won't be ordering again.

So not like these guys. Over 15mins late and had to ring to find out what was going on. Understand they had driver issues but should really update customer. I would have actually accepted to cancel order rather than receive fish and chips at gone 8.30pm, and they weren't the usual high standards. Won't stop future orders, just an one off hopefully.

Absolutely diabolical. Ordered an order at 9pm to be delivered for 10.. still awaiting order bow at 11.12. They have marked order as delivered on app and wont answer the phone.

Ordered early to ensure delivery, it is New Year's Eve after all. Imagine my surprise that 25 minutes later there was a knock on my door and the food was delivered! Everything was piping hot and delicious and you just can't beat it being delivered so fast by a very smiley young lady =)

Ordered mozzarella sticks and sausage and chips (with salt and batter) Order arrived and chips were missing, I rang them up and they said they would deliver the chips to me as soon as possible. When the chips arrive they are cold, no batter and no salt. Rest of my food is also cold my this point

Order from here regular and food was lovely like usual however one wrap was wrong, after calling the shop they where very helpful and sent the correct wrap out on the next delivery round. Only downfall was that we had to wait 2 hours from ordering for the wrap. But both the store and delivery driver very apologetic

....the chips looked like they had been run over by a car and were stuck to the bag like mashed potato. However, the delivery lady was lovley! Service with a smile just a shame about the chips.

Kebab meat was beautiful. Chips are amazing but the batter is weird and ameamic. Nice though apart from that.

Paid for large wrap and regular one but got two regular. Apart from that and being a few minutes late it was fine.

Placed order for 10:30 this was changed by the shop to 10:40 which was fine but it arrived 9:50! My partner wasn't home from work hence why I asked for a specific time. Told when delivered the shop closes at 10! Why have delivery options after this?? Other meal was freezing and didn't reheat well! Very disappointing!!

A didnt get the fucker a partially deaf and me dog sat on me buzzer lowered me buzzer so a didnt have a clue now seen me phone called them back and its either closed or sum 1 is ignoring me livid

Payed for 1.5 litre of diet coke only a can was delivered - delivery driver said he would check and get back to me however didn't so paid £2.20 for a can of coke
