What has happened to this place?????????????? It used to be so good!!!!!! My son ordered food and was quoted £45.90 when it was delivered we were charged £64.00??????????? When queried the delivery guy apologised and just said that they must have taken the order down incorrectly. My son phoned the restaurant and confirmed the order and was told that it was indeed £64 and he had not heard them correctly, strange as his dad and I both heard the quote on speaker phone. The salt and pepper ribs were inedible and contained more salt than The Red Sea. The cucumber for the Duck pancakes was chopped into chunks the size of my thumbs instead of being finely shredded. The Singapore Vermicelli was bland and tasteless. I just can't understand how what used to be such a reputable place to eat can go down-hill so far so fast. Will not be ordering from there again and feel TOTALLY RIPPED OFF.

The waiters were nice and the food was decent worth a try if and the portions were big but the food was a bit pricey but i was satisfied

Where do I start, from being charge £1.60 for a small glass or cordial with tap water, to the most miserable waitress I have EVER encountered who dropped more food than she served , to have a load of rice brought out and no food for over 5 mins, and then the ceiling started leaking straight leaking straight onto the spare rib I was saving. The spilled a drink and soaked the stairs but left it and I had to hold my breath whilst my 74 year old father walked down them. Absolutely dire... needs closing down. Was like faulty towers.

Ordered a takeaway at 8pm and told 45 mins. Rang up at 9pm to check on the order and was told it was out with the driver. Rang up 25 mins later and was given another excuse as to way it wasn’t there but the driver was 5 mins away apparently . Eventually turned up 15 mins later…. ironically we only live 1 min drive away…….🤔. Not tasted the food yet so can’t comment about that but got a sour taste in my mouth at the minute.

Went with a few friends and the food served to other diners looked good. However having order we left as the food hadn’t arrived after about 30 minutes. We paid for our drinks and informed a member of staff that we had waited too long. As our first course was soup I couldn’t understand the long delay. We will not return again but was very disappointed as we were looking forward to a good Chinese meal.

Appalling place avoid rude staff food cold small portions avoid I’d rather travel out to get a decent one try speak to staff and you get shouted at don’t deserve custom

What a shambles, beer prices extortionate, selling coca cola from multi packs! Word of advise though don't mention anything while there the owners a full on psycho🤬

We waited over 3.5 hours for our food, by which point we'd complained to justeat who gave us a refund out of courtesy. A day later the manager turned up at the house demanding money. When we refused she proceeded to kick the door multiple times then got in her car, parked on the drive and refused to leave. The police were called however she eventually left once it became clear that we would not pay her.

Ordered through Just Eat at 18.50. Estimated arrival time 20.15. At 20.15 I asked for a text from the reataurant. Got a delivery time of 9.10. At 9.15 I called again. Was told that our order was packed and would be on its way. At this point I had called 42 times, only twice I got through. At 10.15 I called and spoke to a Manager who said eventually that she should not have accepted our order as they were busy. She made excuses about the order being small, our Post code, she asked me our address 3 times. Eventually the food arrived. Driver seemed quite taken aback that I was complaining. Starters of ribs and spring rolls were stone cold. Had to heat main in microwave before we could eat. Will never ever use this place again. Disgraceful. Saturday evening ruined over a rubbish take away. They should be removed from Just Eat.

Ordered a takeaway through JustEat with this restaurant, was supposed to be delivered by 8.15, after numerous phone calls we eventually got our food at 10.30 but the food was overcooked and dry as well as being cold and needing heating in the microwave. The manager of the restaurant was unhelpful admitting they took too many orders. There are so many bad reports on here, you should avoid those place at all costs. It ruined our Saturday evening in. Very unprofessional, very poor. Will never use again.

Worst takeaway in Wigan. Worst salt and pepper chips in the world. Avoid. Ordered through Just Eat and, after 2 hours, called the restaurant to ask how long our food would be. Restaurant manager answered and, after asking the question, very rudely stated that she was not willing to talk to us as she is busy and immediately hung up. After another hour, the ordered arrived and was cold. The salt and pepper chips were the worst I've every had, just dry normal chips with a few vegetables thrown in for good measure. Given the current situation it is understandable that the order might be late, however, the way the manager spoke to us and hung up was pathetic.

We ordered a banquet for 2 at £30 for a birthday treat in the lockdown. Chicken & sweet corn soup had no chicken and flavourless, bbq ribs were in 5mm of watery sauce, the duck pancakes had no hoisin sauce, no salad and the duck was burnt and hard. The rice was brown coloured boiled rice rather than egg fried rice and the Cantonese fillet steak sauce was a vinegar mix of ketchup and brown sauce with raw onions. We opted to pick up as this would be quicker but were still given an hours wait. A sad and disappointing birthday meal. Would advise all against wasting your money on such awful food.

Ordered a online delivery through just eat at 5.50pm order eventually arrived at 9.55pm cold Tried contacting the restaurant several times with no reply Asked the restaurant and just eat for a refund without success

Made an order and 3 hours later was still waiting cancelled and wanted refund, 19 calls later I got through and said I want my refund as my money was taken straight away and wanted money back straight away was greeted in the phone with oh sorry, bye

Ordered at 1730 via online. Rang an hour later to be told the order had not gone through as they were not using the app. Reordered and it would be delivered within 1 hr 15 mins. 3 hours later and over 200 calls to see where it was still no reply. Absolutely shocking service if you can’t cope don’t take orders and then take your phone off the hook because you can’t handle people asking where their food is!!!!

The website shows the restaurant/takeaway as open and I was able to order and pay for food online to be delivered. I received an email confirming my order and a delivery wait of 45 minutes, however the food never arrived.I have tried to contact the restaurant but had no success, it is clearly closed. My payment has been debited from my account.PLEASE DO NOT MAKE ANY ONLINE ORDERS AS YOU WILL LOSE YOUR MONEY AND GET NO FOOD.

Good food ish and good prices. Nice for an occasion but I've had much nicer food elsewhere. It's not good but it's not bad. Staff are very friendly, good atmosphere and nice decor inside. I'm not huge on Chinese food to be honest so this review might be a tad bias.

I ordered a takeaway from here once, have never sat in to eat and after my experience ordering take away I never will. Ordered a meal at 18.00, when it hadn’t arrived by 19.15 I thought I’d call and check. Was told the driver was on his way and would be with me In about 10 minutes. When it still hadn’t arrived at 19.45 I called again only to be told the same thing. This time I insisted she call the driver and find out exactly where he was while I waited on the line. I heard the call and she was incredibly rude to the driver. When I complained that the waiting time was now getting ridiculous I was offered a laughable 10% discount on my next order, which I was obviously never going to use as I would go hungry before I ordered from here again. When the food did arrive at around 20.20 (meaning I’d been waiting for two and a half hours nearly) the driver was very apologetic and explained he had been sent out with 5 orders to deliver. Predictably given how long it had been in his car the food was stone cold, and when warmed up was bang average anyway. Definitely not worth the wait. One to avoid.

Went for a meal with friends we were served out of date tiger beer and the food was the worst we have ever had

We normally love the food from here but tonight it was awful. Cold, greasy, inedible soup and items missing. Clearly avoid at busy times I’d say. Shame

I live locally and I go to this place now and again and have taken family there and the food is always excellent!! Really surprised at some of the other reveiws, I've never had a bad meal there and don't know anyne who has.

Food was ok. Temperature of food not very hot, came out quickly, as in most Chinese. We ordered soft drinks most were flat so had to be replenished.

We have been here a few times in the past and never really been overly impressed with our experiences. This is the only Chinese restaurant in Ashton..so we gave it another go. I can’t really think of any positives about this place, apart from there is never the need to book a table, even on a Saturday evening. The draft beer is Carlsberg. No music on upstairs, strange atmosphere as a result. The prices for the sit in menu are at the higher end of what you would want to pay for the food. The food itself needs a little extra flavour, the ribs..ahhh, they needed some sauce. Also, I asked for some chilli oil and some soy sauce with my meal, only for the waitress to respond with ‘the kitchen is too busy’. There were only 2 tables in the restaurant, and we were one of them. All in all, this is not a popular place to eat in, and it shows. The business has now seemingly descended into servicing takeaway orders as a priority. If you want a good Chinese restaurant I would advise that you go to Sing Faye on the lancs. Chinese Garden is a missed opportunity, but without major changes this restaurant will remain not really a restaurant.

Just recived a takeaway order within 10 minutes of ordering it . Very quick . Salt and pepper chicken , barbecue pork and curry samosas £17.10 I thought was a little expensive for what I ordered and then once it had arrived it was cold and looked like someone’s left overs , the salt and pepper chicken was soggy and all stuck together and the pork was dry with a very small amount of sauce .both arrive in the smallest container possible with a very small amount of food inside , not even full containers , disappointing to say the least and will not be wasting my money again

I always get salt and pepper ribs from here but I was so disappointed due to they were not the same as usual they were battered!

Fantastic food best Chinese I’ve had in ages. Bought a few different things for a family of 7 and it was all tasty! Would order again.

I thought I would try this place, only because the other two places I usually go to were closed. Food was below average. The chow mein was bland, and the chicken had clearly been cooked earlier and just thrown in. The chicken in black bean was awful. All of it was very greasy. I definitely would not be ordering again, extremely disappointed and such a waste of money.

Delivery was early which was great but the soups were so watered down there was almost no flavour. The chow mein was also very weakly flavoured. Overall I was left disappointed.

Do not order from here...the food is absolutely disgusting the customer service was just as stale. My boxing day was ruined for My family and myself with this place. They came back out to me after me ringing about the food they call Chinese to be pushed into my house with a box of food and told I wasn't entitled to a refund. I wouldn't of given this to my dog. STAY AWAY!!!

I ordered a takeaway with my boyfriend at 7, it was estimated to be delivered by 8.15. By 8.30 it still hadnt arrived but it said on JustEat that it had been delivered? I rang the shop and was told that my food was just being cooked and that they where busy. The girl on the phone said they might be able to give me a refund or a dscount but the manager wasnt there to talk to me. She said she would get the manager to ring me when shes in, no one rang. By 9.10 i rang again, and this time i spoke to the manager. My food was still not cooked and she told me that it was the food i had ordered that had made the food take so long! Ridiculous. I was also told that she could refund me and if i cancelled i wouldnt get my money back because JustEat takes all the money! I asked would it be easier if i came to pick it up and they could give me the delivery money back and they said i still cant have any money back. My boyfriend needed to get a train and he was going to miss the one he was planning to get but decided to wait and get a later one. I was tld it would be 20 mins. It arrived 30 mins later, the cicken dumplings were inedible! The beef chewy and cold, the seafood dish smelled very fishy and was gritty and so was the hot and sour soup! Me and my boyfirend didnt eat the food and tried ringing the restaturant numerous times but they never answered. After 30 mins i chucked the food down the waste dispsosal and put the tubs out in the bin. I complained to JustEat who couldnt get in touch with them for ages! When they finally did they refused to give a refund, and then refused to ring me on the phone as they were too busy. Then they tell just eat that they will come and get the food and only then will they give a refund! Funny how they arent too busy too do that, but cannot talk to me on the phone! In the end i rang the restaurant, they refused to refund my £27 without the food, which is impossible as it went down the waste disposal! I told them i will not be using their services again! Justeat are going to refund half of the money, but the whole thing is just ridiculous!!! VERY DISAPPOINTED, AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

2 hours late, food was terrible. Offered no refund or reduced price as it was paid by debit card on just eat. Tried ringing after the food had arrived nearly 2 hours late as it was inedible, and they didn't answer. Normally a nice place to eat, but about at all costs on the weekend. They cannot handle it when it's busy.

Ordered a take away at 6.50pm for 6 people still not arrived at 9pm despite several phone calls asking where it was. The final phone call the owner said if we wait a little longer they would throw in a bottle of coke and fortune cookies! Although we've been here many times before we will not be going again. Avoid unless your happy to wait a very long time!

was due at 745, but at 8.25 ...40mins late... we rang to be told they lost our ticket and were just starting the food which meant our guests couldn’t eat as they had to leave. it’s lucky we called as they didn’t know until we called. absolutely disgraceful service and we are regular customers. never again

Worst I've ever had..it was cold and salt and pepper chips was Aldis cheapest frozen chips. I avoided eating dog when I wasin Korea but I think I have just sampled it..rubbish.

Although delivery was quick, food was appalling. Rang up to make a complaint and all was said ‘food is made this morning’ even though we ordered at 10pm. Was very rude on the phone and did absolutely nothing about it, would NOT recommend.

Food is usually lovely from here and have ordered before with no issues. However the wrong order was delivered today. Spoke to the restaurant who advised they said that they would speak to the driver and have our order brought from the wrong house to ours. Explained I didn't want this as the food would be cold and someone else would have unpacked it. Was told they would speak to the manager to see if they could cook a fresh order and call me back. No call back, delivery driver arrived with correct order which was cold, clearly hadn't been cooked fresh. Attempted to call the restaurant and no answer. Appreciate it's a busy night but disappointed

Not the best food, chicken satay skewers were tough and hardly had any sauce, egg fried rice had no egg in it, we asked for no peas in the chicken and ham fried rice and it came with peas in it. Usually lovely food from here as well! On a positive note it did arrive 10 mins early.

I ordered the food at around 19.40, the initial indication was that it would arrive at 20.40. This then changed to 21.10. I called the restaurant at 21.20 as it hadn't arrived (and didn't until 21.40) and the customer service was shocking. The explanation was that it was busy and if I ordered again over the phone I could get a discount. If you are busy, stop taking orders rather than delivering food late. She also stated that my problem was with Just Eat, not them. Shocking.

Terrible food... No taste. Very bland. Vermicelli tasted like it was coated in powder. Can't even cook chips all undercooked. Tried it for the first time and will never be returning again. Awful.

Food was 20 mins late and so I rang the restaurant . They then informed me that my food was going to be a further 20 mins . The status from the restaurant was not updated on here and took for me to follow up.. THe order was put in at 7:30 and the food only came after 21:20. The food wasn’t very hot either. More warm than anything ..

Took 2 hours and 10 min to get me and i live 10min drive away!!! Absolute joke if you are too busy that your going to deliver that late, do not accept orders its that simple! I will not be ordering again...

food was superb however it came 20 minutes early which messed up our eating times for guests. had lots of food but no guests!

Everything we ordered was tasty, fresh and hot, order was ready when specified, reasonable price, would order again
