Wo! Here I am guys, once again, me, myself and my matcha’s cravings. If you love matcha and want to try something special in London, do go straight away to this bakery. They make it an ice cream. Can you believe it? There is more. You can choose between having it in a cone fish shaped or in a mango flavoured sweet bread. I have chosen the mango bread. Followers, it does taste like mango as well as the ice cream which tastes exactly like tea. This is kind of a dream. It is also so warm, just baked for us! For some reason, I have the impression to eat a healthy treat…crazy stuff over here. Very quick service and friendly staff. Will try the red bean ice cream next time. Cheers you all 👏

They have 3 bakeries all within a small area, very busy with tourists and unfortunately pickpockets. This is my favourite branch for no determinable reason, the ladies that work here are brilliantly no nonsense.The food in my opinion is both delicious and incredibly well priced. I limit myself to one trip a week (work local) normally get the roast pork bun and red bean roll for myself and a pandan triangle cake for my daughter. Delicious. When the day comes that they jack up the prices it will be a very sad day indeed.

Busy, cramped, a bit expensive but worth it. Pulled pork buns or youtiao for savoury, nutella taiyaki for sweet, are all excellent choices. Lots to love here from traditional Chinese to modern twists.

As a sweet tooth the Chinatown bakery is like a piece of heaven! I loved the moon cakes for the Autumn Festival (black sesame, and white Lotus are my favs); and not to mention the fluffy cakes: Pandan flavored cake? Yes please! A little tip is to visit the bakery during at opening hours, because it's less busy.

One of the best bakeries in China Town! My personal favourites and recommendations are the Custard Taiyaki and Sausage Buns. Although the food here is definitely something to marvel at, there is often little to no space in the bakery itself due to the large abundance of people in a cramped space especially at peak times, making it difficult to navigate the shop. Aside from this, it is still worth checking it out!

The bread and cakes were nice. However the movement in shop was really poor: customers need to get in the shop, then go to the counters in other room to pay and finally squeeze themselves out to the door when they originally come in. I don’t understand why it is designed like this.

Nice, simple efficient bakery with reasonable prices for London.

A place that tends to be crowded, it really offers a lot of choice between sweets and various delicacies, including savory ones. We got some kind of coconut mochi which was extremely good but other things looked interesting too. You have to queue a bit to pay but the staff is very quick. Prices okay. Advised!

Very bustling place and small place, they warn over the public address system to be careful with pickpockets. What they sell there is Chinese pastries, the sweets that we tried were very delicious and of course curious. Take a walk eating exotic pastries, what more could you ask for?

I'm so grateful I got to experience this bakery because it's better than anything else I've been to before. The food was genuinely amazing—the best I've ever had. I'm so jealous this bakery isn't in my area, but if you ever go to Chinatown, you have to visit this place. It's incredible!

good pastries for good price! Some staff are friendly (especially the younger), some are less (impatient,...). I love all the products, I do think that the char sui bun filling is a BIT too sweet.

Chinese pastry with a lot of variety. They sell freshly made taiyakis directly outside and there is usually a line. To enter you do it through a door, you take a tray, you fill it in self-service with everything you want and they charge you for it at the exit, which is a different door. The prices are a little high for my taste.

Excellent pandan cake with a lovely colour. Light flavour that comes through delightfully with what I think is a light cream filling through the middle. Would highly recommend and one portion is big enough to share between two. The custard bun was also great, but very filling. My advice would be to order one at the time in case you can’t finish it all haha :)

We ate green tea ice cream. The ice cream was great and incredibly tasty. She wasn't too sweet either.

Used to come here from time to time but most recently a short, dark and heavy Asian female staff working on packaging and stocking buns was absolutely rude even by Chinatown standard… She aggressively complained to customers for them being in her way in such an offensive manner that we just put down the selected products and left. There are plenty other options in the vicinity if you want the same or more variety of exactly the same buns but without some staff seeking to insult customers.

The taiyaki were good. The staff was friendly and the prices were right.

Didn't get a chance to buy cake and try it. Instead I was robbed within the first 60 seconds of entering the store. Asked a lady at the till for help and CCTV info, she told me to go to the police station like it was a normal occurring event. to be fair its posted all over the store that pickpockets work the area.

I normally love this place but I got custard fish from here yesterday and they were honestly not very good. They gave me pre made ones already bagged and they were cold and the custard wasn't melty. So basically cold batter with tacky custard. Not nice and not worth it. My friend got an ice cream and it had a hole it so it was melting everywhere. It's such a shame! The issue could easily be fixed by going back to the system on giving out fresh custard fish.

Hit or miss in terms of food quality, but still tasty overall. Reasonably prices compared to Chinese bakeries in other UK cities. Good food hygiene measures. I recommend the pandan cake & the roast pork bun. The place is always crowded but the queue moves fast. Give it a go if you're in the area!

Was yummy but not the greatest thing, still good tho!

I have bought cakes here many times. But actually today I feel very disappointed. In the evening, when I returned home, I ate cake, but inside the cake there were salmon bones. I’m so scared. Because the staff wasn't careful while making the cake, that's why it happened. Please check the quality of the cake before selling it to customers.

Busy bread shop . Bread taste ok

I tried the Chiffon Cake, the taste is unusual, but I wouldn't buy it again. It cost £2 a piece.

The filling was poor and prices were high.

Light Soft and springy texture. It have variety of bread, curry bun, polo bun, char siew, red bean and etc. Beside bread, it have cake too, panda and vanilla cake too. Some special flavour such as chicken floss cake too. Good place to fixed your craving.

I bought a red bean paste bun today and it was all filled with baking paper👎🏻 The quality control of this store is really poor. I will definitely not come here again.

It is not the first time I have gone to this store, and it is never that they have been the height of excellence and friendliness! The other day I went again after many months without visiting and it will be the last time I go. All the staff are rude, unsympathetic and they make fun of any type of customer, whether you are a tourist or a local and they always charge you a few pounds extra for no reason!! You complain and they laugh in your face... with absolute passivity!! I will never buy from this store again… because there are many more in London with better quality and treatment!!!

This shop is always busy and crowded, but all their pastries are so soft and good quality. Sweetcorn chicken floss cheese bun is my new favourite, it has spring onions in it too, slightly spicy, so yum. Asian mum approved.

Decently priced, freshly made buns and snacks. Standouts for me are the BBQ pork bun and peanut cream puff. They don't skimp on fillings, and each is around £2, so probably the cheapest snacks around Chinatown. They have a few branches around town, and this one's the busiest, but you shouldn't wait more than a couple minutes to pay. Good stuff.

I have to agree that the pork bun is good. Unfortunately I prefer it warm not room temperature.

I had the chicken curry bun which wasn’t the best. The chicken was dry, no curry flavour just oil. I’m not sure what happened as usually this bakery has a good selection of items.

The fish shaped Taiyaki with the custard filling were super hot and tasty.

Taiyaki ice cream and BBQ pork buns are both big favourites here. Service always friendly and food always delicious!

Just grabed a redbean taiyaki and what a delicious treat. Will definitely come for more options soon.

I have been a regular customer of this store and bought it many times. I didn’t expect the bread to be very stale this time. I didn’t expect the business to be so good. There is also this kind of bread that has been stored overnight for several days!

Chinatown Bakery, the name says a lot but the service did not I'm shocked! We went there twelve of us and obviously bought food from the bakery, nice food but unfortunately when we ask them for tissues they don't have any, asked them for (knife and) forks they don't have any. The lady replied both the times harshly and she said we have spoon. When I request her for spoon she questioned me with why do I need spoon for(harshly). I answered I have got kids with me and for them I need spoon. She gave me finally but only two. So I was upset with the service from the Chinatown Bakery.

Always come here for the pandan chiffon cake and the custard taiyaki. Recently tried mooncakes for the first time, i got the pandan mooncakes and loved them!

The baked goods are all new to me and weren't that expensive for a quick snack in China Town. The price ranged from £1.80 to £2.50. The total price for me was 13 pounds and then some. There are many sweet baked goods, but savory ones with meat, garlic or onions. The tastes couldn't be more different there. The ladies there are super fast and very friendly. In the shop they also offer small dough fish (sweet dough) with pudding filling 4 pieces for 2.50 pounds or dough fish filled with ice cream.

Very top pastry in the Chinatown neighborhood, there are at least 3 from the same chain in the area. They bake everything daily and have sweet buns, taiyakis, savory breads, cloud cakes and a lot of other things. If you are passing through London it is a good idea to stop by ♥️

I tasted some delicious hard donuts with vanilla cream.

The meat floss bread is delicious and the price is very reasonable. Especially compared to the surrounding cake shops, I think it is very cost-effective.
