Bill's Covent Garden (St Martin's Courtyard) in City of London, Westminster

We had planned to go there last week but got there yesterday. They were fully booked except for an outside seat which we were pleased to take. I had a nice large g&t and ordered a mango, avocado and prawn starter. My gf ordered calamari. All food arrived very promptly but unfortunately the calamari had peppers on which had to be returned and a replacement arrived quickly. Both starters were lovely and easy on the eye. For main course I had the chicken the mash and my gf had the burger which she’d asked without sauce and onions. Yep, that had to be sent back but was replaced quickly. All lovely. We finished with a latte and a most incredible cheesecake set in an edible flowerpot with chocolate that looked like soil. It was a dream. It started to get cold hence my 3 star rating for atmosphere as we were outside. We had a blue light card so got a discount. The bill inc service came to £62. A really lovely experience and we shall return. Highly recommended.

Went on very busy half term Sunday at 4pm. Kristin was very accommodating and squeezed the 3 of us in. We were on a tight turnover and we ordered quickly and had our food within an hour. Fab service, thank you 😁

Saj gave me a lovely warm welcome, as a lone diner this is always very memorable. Saj was just polite, helpful and really set the tone for what was to come. I got the big breakfast brunch because I love a full English - everything was cooked really well. There was a small mix up with my order but this was rectified quickly. Edward gave me really great service and I couldn’t have asked for a more attentive waiter - thank you 😊

Awful place, arrogant waiters and management. Order for 6 was messed up big time, non of the courses arrived in the right order. 4 different waiters were looking after our table! The money we spend were just waisted!

As a single diner during a busy lunch time I received brilliant prompt attentive service from Sean … and the food was great .

Our server Ryan was fantastic. He was friendly, efficient and brightened up the room. Brilliant customer service.

This morning, I enjoyed a delightful breakfast outdoors. I savored a soothing decaf tea and a delicious eggs royale dish. The staff provided exceptional service, making the experience even more enjoyable. The eggs royale was particularly delightful, with a flavorful sauce that complemented the dish perfectly. I would definitely return to this place for another wonderful meal.

Brunch here with the gals,.food was pretty good. I had steak, egg and chips, was like a minute steak but still tasty. Good coffee, nice atmosphere and very pleasant staff.

Brunch at Bills's was fabulous. Full English and Eggs Benedict were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The coffee was hot and strong. The staff were professional and friendly. Bathrooms were beautifully clean.

We were in London for 4 days and went to Bills 3 times because the food and service were so great. They have a full Gluten Free menu which can be requested from the server when sat down. On our last visit Stephen was our server and he was fantastic.

Very busy. Recommend booking ahead. We were seated downstairs, toilets up. Bustling, noisy, tables very close together. Orde taken quickly, drinks followed and food presumably ready to go in the kitchen arrived soon after. Everything apart from the poached eggs, which were fabulous, hot and runny was lukewarm and for £16.95, as I had the ultimate garden plate, so my friend and I could share the pancakes, were very spread out on a large plate but meagre upon inspection. Allergy enquiry made as soon as we sat. No choice of type of bread for toast, white came would have preferred wholemeal, but I didn't ask, they may have had it available. My friend's Bloody Mary was apparently lovely, my bramble and gin drink, forgot the name was good too. Would I return, if I had no where else to go. I had a 20% discount as I signed up to their newsletter, otherwise bill would have been in excess of £65

Food was very lovely however the service was shocking , our waiter was rude and ignored us everytime we tried to ask for something. The toilets in their are so disgusting, probably the worst iv ever seen, and they had a tragic sewer smell to them. Overall unpleasant experience , really disappointed in the service and cleanliness of the place. Also at the door they said we had to pay in cash despite the website saying they are a cashless business, although this cannot be helped it would have been nice to know in advanced considering a reservation was made in advanced.

Apparently this is a chain but you wouldn't know it - it's got eclectic decor and cozy seating. It's in a busy area (Covent Garden/Leicester Square) but it's in a courtyard so it's away from the hustle and bustle.

Found this place for breakfast on our first morning in London and the food was so great, we came back every morning. The service was also excellent; Gabriella a great host.

Mika and Salvatore, the most attentive and friendly waiters, very good service, the quality of the food excellent, they brought a Kids lunch to my daughter and with their coloring activities, we ordered dinner with certain characteristics and they fit perfectly and gave recommendations, 10 out of 10

Me and friends visited Bill's Covent Garden yesterday, we had great experience from the start, our food was lovely and we choose to go for the Set menu. Great value, the manager was amazing, she was checking on us all the time and was lovely to chat with her. Highly recommend!

We ordered the Full Breakfast and topped it up with pancakes. The portions were hearty, and the pancakes were airy and fluffy—absolutely delicious! The service was excellent, with attentive and observant staff. Overall, a great experience!

The space was pretty and there were lots of seats, so we didn't have to wait! It came out quickly, the service was friendly, and the eggs royale (salmon version of eggs Benedict) was really delicious! I also ordered avocado to make it a little salty, but it was the best to add when you feel salty. I even had a smoothie and it tasted healthy, fresh and refreshing.

Amazing brunch, fair prices and the waiters were very attentive! One small thing, pancakes need more syrup. Very good experience !

Went for breakfast. Pre booked which I'm glad because it was busy. We opted for the big brekkie & it was lovely. Washed down with a smoothie. Service was efficient. Only improvement would be to have the pay online option which they have in Cardiff where you can a QR on your table, saves trying to get a servers attention to settle the bill.

What is the point of doing a reservation when u still get to wait for 30 minutes having one ….

The food was good, but the staff was very rushed. Removing plates when just 1 of us was finished and removing teacups while there is still tea in the pot. There's no breakfast, only a more expensive brunch

Booked a table before a westend show tonight for my birthday and was very disappointed. Have eaten in Bill's in other locations and was very happy with the service and food, but this location was not great. It took 30 mins for the wait staff to take our orders, a staff member split the water on the table without cleaning it, then one of the starters we received was the wrong one. The main mash potato was slimy, chicken was overcooked and my friend was very disappointed in the aubergine parmigiana, which had big chunks of uncooked veg. She had enjoyed this dish in a different location previously. I felt the waiter when checking how we were getting on was rude and not interested in our answer. Absolutely fair if you are stressed but would have preferred to not be asked at all if going to respond in that manner? Finally upstairs female bathroom was not the cleanest. I really like this chain of restaurants so did not expect to be writing this tonight.

A friend and I went to Bill’s this morning to take two other friends (who share the same birthday!) out for birthday breakfast. It was just really lovely in every way. The staff were attentive and kind, engaged and interested. The place is lovely- always love the vibe and design of Bill’s restaurants. And the food was really great. It was a really lovely start to the day and we all felt very special. Thanks to all the staff this morning and especially our waitress Scarlet. Great special experience! Decent place to grab food. We went for an early dinner. Got the set menu which had a good selection of options. The calamari was good, the minute steak was meh. Overall, the food was fine and nothing to write home about. Service wasn’t great as it took a long time for our server to get back to us every time and it wasn’t particularly busy. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated, really cute spot. Good location too.

I have been to Bill's restaurant in Convent Garden before, living in London it is the place with the best vegetarian lasagna. This was 7 yrs ago, in London now thought I pop in & got that nostalgic feeling. Unfortunately I was advised the outdoor area and upstairs was closed and so accommodating for 1 person maybe a little difficult. I wasn't worried because service in the past has always been amazing. They found me table and I had popped in for just drinks. Unfortunately this is where it all went downhill, waitress and few attendants walked right past me on several occasions. It got to the point I had to wave my hands around to get someone's attention. Second drink, same situation. Now it comes time to get the bill, again no attendant bothered to come over. Intently staring at a waitress didn't do the trick either. Again I wave my hand around, to get the bill only to get the response "yep we can see, someone will be with you shortly". My time at the restaurant was short, but for just drinks the service was horrendous. I didn't make a booking possibly why I got a shit service but to have to wave my hands around for someone to pay attention to me is not what I want to do in a busy restaurant. Shame because it is a beautiful restaurant with delicious food and drinks

I went to have brunch. The location of the restaurant was very good. The staff were really friendly. As for the food, the hamburger was really delicious~ The patty was thick and the french fries were delicious~ There were a lot of people, but the lively atmosphere was nice.

Very good gluten-free menu, we ordered burgers with potatoes and Caesar salad to share. Everything is very good and the place is beautiful. We went without a reservation on a Tuesday in September and it was very good.

the place is located in the central london, they have a small terrace and 2 floors inside. great place expecially to take a brunch i went with a couple of friends and ordered a full eng breakfast and was fantastic. fast services, good taste of the food, and good prices

The servers ignored our table of four for at least 20 minutes. We had to remind one server that we hadn’t been asked to order drinks yet. They brought my husband the wrong food. Then later they brought the right food. I ordered from the separate gluten free menu and did not have a bad reaction (celiac). I enjoyed my Hippy bowl and my husband said his pancakes and chicken were tasty too. The service is horrendous. We had to repeatedly ask for the check. Sundays are busy. The bathroom had multiple stalls and was clean.

Our host Edward was amazing. The turmeric coffee latte was beautiful & delicious, but I did need another coffee. The halloumi fries were delicious! We had never had fried cheese & honey together… Atmosphere 5 stars, Service 5 stars; but we are American, and we haven’t been crazy about any British food yet; so we can’t say we loved our meals. But they aim to please here, and my daughters Coke classic came in an original glass Coca Cola bottle. That’s a finishing detail not often achieved! Bills was highly recommended and we can see why. Amazing food and amazing service. Our waiter Ahmad was delightful. He explained the menu very well and made some excellent suggestions. My friend and I went out on a cute little lunch date here and everything was amazing!!! After our meal we had the bottomless pancakes and I just have to say that after two rounds you’ll be wanting more so it’s worth the try.
