My favourite Chinese in Darlington. Most things far surpass any other Chinese I've had. The garlic chili chow mein is delicious hands down my favourite especially the beef (though I wish there was a little more meat sometimes) they have proper homemade style chips bit like pub chips and i think the only Chinese in darlo that does them you can get kids meals with chicken balls, chips and sauce for under £6 which makes a fab starter/side. There are a few things disappointing like the aromatic duck has been dry and bit bland everytime I've tried it but that might be a supply issue as I've not had a really good one for years. Also the munchie box is a bit samey, too much salt and pepper and chicken could do with a bit more variety, I'd do away with the spring rolls and one of salt chicken items and do like a bit of seaweed, prawn toast, ribs, satay but good value for what it is if you like that. Also the phone staff are always so lovely, extremely polite, easy to understand and happy to answer questions about the food and always remember to ask which freebie you'd like when you spend over the threshold. I get terrible phone anxiety but calling here is tolerable! Another plus is location, super easy to collect as they're just opposite asda/matalan so can nip into their car park if no street parking and then you can pick it up hot and fresh in about 20 minutes rather than relying on drivers. Perfect.

It’s always lovely food normally however this time iv been put off as found a big long black hair in my salt and pepper chicken dish so whoever was dealing with the food needs to start wearing a hair net and tie hair back it’s a shame

Absolute diagrace. Took our order and still not arrived after an hour. Rang up and said they hadn't started cooking it! Stay clear, usless.

I knew there was a reason why I stopped using this takeaway some time ago. They got my order wrong again. Big difference between King prawns and whatever that meat was.

First time and last.....noodles like mush Worst Chinese ever tasted ....Bland.... Very poor quality

I will be very lucky if I don't get sick. Chicken fried rice.. one of the top selling dish should always be fresh. Mine looked and tasted like it was forgotten a few days ago and just found to be later sent. Other dishes not much better. Shame on you!

Ordered an hour in advance 17.40 for delivery 18.45. Called twice only to be told no drivers available. Cancelled order 19:47. Please don't take online orders if you are not able to fulfill the orders. 2hrs is not good

Taken over gone down massively in food quality and quantity used to be my favourite now I am.afraid it is shocking and getting worse since take over will be avoiding from now on

Since been taken over a year ago everything has gone down hill the staff are nasty to each other and not very respectful to customers and I'm afraid I would not give my dogs the food that comes out of that place it looks clean an tidy but truth is there's been more accidents with staff due to food and dirt all over.

I've never left a review before but this time I feel I need too. If you want the best chinese takeaway in darlington then this is the place was really delicious and it arrived in 25minutes piping hot

Although the food is normally lovely , I was extremely disappointed with the delivery service. They completely misled me about the delivery times, and I believe they should have been more transparent. It's disheartening when a company fails to be honest with its customers. As a result, I won't be ordering from them again.

We ve have been using this Chinese for the last year. Always had beautiful food and lovely polite service from the staff. One of the dishes we always get is crispy shredded beef and peking sauce. We ask for the sauce to be sepwrate as we don't like the sauce to soften the crispy beef by the time we get home. Until tonight this has never been an issue!! Sadly, tonight the lady behind the till has refused, saying it's not allowed to be separate as it's a meal. When explained that this has always been accommodated she stated it shouldn't have been as its a meal and xant be seperated??? Needless to say we have not proceeded with our order. Very disappointing. What happened to customer service!! Usually purchase very regularly from this establishment.

Delicious food good value staff very pleasant very clean

The woman that works behind the till is absolutely fabulous and really kind and friendly, But every time I have been in they have messed up something in my order, Forgotten to put something in or given us a completely wrong meal.. We have phoned up to get this corrected sometimes and occasionally they have fixed it but after asking for things to be fixed so often I've finally given up and I don't think I will ever be going back to this restaurant.. The food is really nice I have to admit but with the amount of mess ups we have had with our meals I don't want to go back..

Superb food every time!! I've tried most Chinese takeaways in Darlington and this is the best for me, also the Chinese lady is such a lovely funny person. If I did have one complaint it would be that the online payment rarely works but that is a minor issue in the overall scheme of it.

A Chinese not accepting card payment s shocking now adays no wounder so many are closing down food OK wouldnt say its the best but it is on door step hence why I thought I'd give a local business my money but think I will take my custom else where from now on

Absolutely spot on, everything was beautiful. Looked at other people's recommendations and reviews for this place as I had a few bad experiences with Chinese resteraunts but I absolutely recommend this place, I chose egg food yung and chop suey, so each to their own but the curry sauce and chips are amazing

Had a lot of recommendations for this place and omg were they right! I ordered chicken curry , fried rice and chips. It came with mushrooms and onions and I asked for peas in too which was no trouble at all. Now I've failed to find a nice Chinese curry sauce for years but now I have, beautiful homemade chips and lovely fresh meat. 10/10. My new go to and will highly recommend.

Been getting our food here for a while, same order every week and it has always been spot on, but tonight the black bean sauce was non existent,. It was like dishwater and the overall meal was very disappointing so maybe time to try somewhere else.

Just ordered chicken and black bean and chips on new years eve, and some salt and pepper chicken. Both are spot on, lovely thick sauce in the black bean dish and great tasting chunky chips. Salt n pepper chicken has a real smokey and spicy taste to it. Overall the best I've had from China china to date

Munchie box is absolutely beautiful, salt and pepper chips are the best around...proper chips. Staff are always friendly and the delivery drivers always polite and fast. Definitely worth trying

Sadly egg fried rice is like rice pudding and spoils the meal, curry has far to many onions and mushrooms in it to enjoy. Cook needs to improve his cooking methods to get a improved rating.
