Never ordered from here before so thought I'd give it a go!!The food ordered was on delivery early in evening it was diabolical barley warm once arrived.uneadable..chips overcooked ,no good for consumption the only way to describe the chicken (chewing rubber) obviously all cooked in same oil..money in the bin!!..

Ordered 2 chicken currys 1 beef curry 3 curry sauces, chips, rice and a beef chow main, the currys were like thick glue the beef was stringey the rice was in a block the chips cold I phoned and asked for a refund but to no avail they said it was all cooked fresh I think not looks like it went into a microwave after being frozen will not order from here ever again worse takeaway I've ever had ,waste of money but the bin enjoyed it !!!!!!!!

Well!... I should have known not to order. A lot of reviews said so, and the last time I ordered was 2 years ago and it wasn't great then either! I ordered sharing starter and everything was rock hard like it had been refried several times. The rice was really dry, the noodles were marginally ok, i don't k ow what was wrong with the seaweed but it tasted really odd! And what's the point of giving you a time preference when you don't bother reading it?? Ordered for 8:50pm .. arrived 8:05! Thank goodness i was in! (Or maybe it would have been better if i wasn't 🤨) Very poor standards. Maybe consider changing the oil sometimes too

Really happy there's a decent Chinese in BoA now. Went as our usual was closed, and definitely switching now. Fresh chicken, not the usual rubbery stuff, fresh bamboo shoots not canned, nice crispy spring rolls and little fortune cookies too!

Ordered a salt and pepper chicken and was given a sweet and sour chicken, only noticed this when I was home (4 miles away). I rang up the takeaway asking for the correct order, and they have swiftly sorted out the issue by delivering another…free of charge! Thank you China Town, I’ll be coming back again and you’ve made my experience a whole lot better :)

We are new to the area. We have twice ordered a takeaway to be delivered on a week night and quality excellent. However, on Saturday evening we strolled round BOA and ordered a takeaway which we collected 15 minutes later. The place was busy and the quality of our order awful. BBQ spare ribs dry and tasteless, The chow mein noodles overcooked and the aromatic duck like nothing I have ever had before and it is one of my favourite dishes. The cucumber chunks were thick, the spring onions dry , hard and curled and the duck weirdly chopped and not pulled apart. Will try once again but never on a Saturday!!

We've had a bad meal in the past but heard that there had been changes so gave China Town another try. We've now had two takeaways from here in the last month and I'm very pleased to day that both have been excellent.

Family holiday on the canal and this was an absolute find! Moored up, phoned up to order and by the time we'd walked down (15mins) it was ready and still hot by the time we'd walked it back. Absolutely delicious 👌 Really helpful on the phone with fussy eaters (plain noodles with chicken) and food intolerances (gluten free, diary free, chilli free, garlic free). Very impressed 😊 Thank you!

Finally a great Chinese in BOA! I live in BOA and have never had a good Chinese. Had heard there’s a new chef here and friends had had good food so decided to try it. Well, Im so happy there is now a great Chinese! Was quick delivery too. I had the fried Tofu with spring onions and ginger and my husband had the crispy chilli beef, both dishes were lovely, fresh tasting and flavoursome. Please keep up the great work, this will be a once a week treat for us from now on!

Lots of takeaway food in town but this one is my go to for a fast tasty meal. Love the wings and ribs! Update. 4 years later and I think they have a new cook. A real improvement. Singapore noodles excellent. Ribs and wings better than ever. We'll done!

Ordered from China Town tonight, set meal for 4. Delivery was sooner than expected, the food was hot and every aspect of the set meal was delicious! Will definitely be ordering again, it was lovely!

Knowing how to cater for "best friends" invited for drinks and a nosh is always at risk if you've promised to order in for everyone thus relieving the host-stress - putting the responsibility for the food at least onto a "sub-contractor". Anyway, our own single experience lately of China Town was around 7-8 weeks ago when we collected a very pleasant meal only to find a few weeks later that the restaurant was "re-opening with a new chef"! So, tonight we took the plunge. Ordered on-line meals for 4; starters, mains and sides only to be shown "delivery in about 50 minutes". Absolutely fine. We were in no hurry but we were amazed when the food turned up some 25-30 minutes after ordering. Quite likely Wednesdays are a little quiet but .."WOW". The food was hot.... yes, hot, when so many deliveries are not quite. And it was all just totally lovely. 4 adults fully fed and all 4 happy - how often does that happen? It is my honest belief that if China Town can maintain these standards of food and delivery then they deserve to flourish and grow. Well done China Town.

I didn’t enjoy this Chinese. The chow mein was like a pot noodle and the prawn dish was putrid. Everybody tried a prawn and we had mixed reviews: I thought they were gross, other said they were okay. It’s no hardship to throw them in a pan with garlic, chilli, salt and pepper. It was like minestrone soup on bland prawns.

New chef started recently, now it's a very good Chinese takeaway, just the aroma in the car on the way home was enough to convince me he knows his stuff. Highly recommended....

We ordered a takeaway from here whilst on our boat trip on the canal. The food was good, really hot and delivered very promptly to the boat yard. Would recommend, good Chinese food, free prawn crackers and fortune cookies.

I find some of the reviews ill-informed and one written by a drunk, who was suffering from alcohol not food poisoning. This should not have been posted as it is offensive. China Town is an above average Chinese for a small town like Bradford. Who eats chips from a Chinese?

I wanted to have a Chinese delivered for Chinese New Year on Friday and haven’t had a Chinese before in Bradford On Avon so did some research so I was influenced by the reviews but the 4 out of 5 hygiene rating swung it for me. The food really was out of this world and I am so glad I went there. I will definitely return.

Fancied mixed sweet and sour balls this evening, most definitely not the first time they had been cooked, and then again fried in dirty oil. Totally disgusting, greasy and burnt. they went into the bin. Will not visit again. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Really disappointed.

Usually order from a Chinese takeaway in Trowbridge who wasn't open. Bit concerned because of a few bad reviews but food was good. Won't be returning to the Trowbridge one. Delivery was a bit slow but I was warned when I placed the order. All in all a good experience

Either the curry sauce or chicken fried rice was very salty. Realy bad. Chicken balls were brilliant.

Ordered food for our new years eve party. Great service and prompt. The food was piping hot and was enjoyed by all. Delivery driver very polite and happy. I order on a regular basis and am thoroughly happy with the food service and delivery. Would recommend 100%.

We rang and ordered a takeout and were told it would be 50 minutes and being a busy Saturday night weren't too concerned. An hour and a half later and several calls to the shop our food arrived. The beef in certain dishes was like shoe leather and the chicken dish brought tears to your eyes because it was overly hot. This Chinese takeaway has been in BOA longer than me and I have grown up having it there after nights out on the town so I really wanted it to be as good as I remembered it. It missed the mark slightly on this occasion but I'm sure I'll be using them again at some stage.

Almost two hours after ordering and an hour after a text to say it was on the way our food turned up cold. We refused to pay which they wouldn’t accept so we sent the food back. I love a mile away so how did it take an hour to transport?! Awful service.

The worst Chinese food I've ever tried to eat.. tatesless and way over cooked. Chicken was hard, curry sauce was terrible.. the duck spring rolls were worst thing I've ever tasted.

Just had a takeout from this place. I asked for thai chilli prawns but got sweet and sour which i hate. I also asked for spring onion instead of white onion and only got that (not much of it) and no other veg with the prawns as you would usually expect! Was basically 4 prawns in a runny sweet and sour soup. Rice was dry and overly microwaved. Thought about emailing to complain which i never do but the website is all in chinese. Waste of time / money.

Some of the reviews on here describe China Town as being terrible - I would not agree. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t mind blowing or the best Chinese I’ve ever had but it was good. The food was hot and tasty and the prices are good.

We've had several take-away meals over the last 3 months and all have been hot, generously portioned, tasty and value for money. It does a job without frills. Ok, the shop looks a bit tired, smells of hot cooking oil, needs refurbishing and the outside needs a sweep. The 4 out of 5 hygiene rating is displayed proudly.

Firstly this place does not even deserve 1*. I only gave it one because there is no zero option.Being fairly new to Bradford-On-Avon we choose to ignore the poor reviews for this 'restaurant' and decided to give it a go. What a terrible mistake that was!Never before have I had a take away that was inedible but after 3 or 4 mouth fulls (or 1 in my wife's case) the entire two meals and starters were in the bin.I'm not a fussy eater but my noodles looked like brown mashed potatoes(but tasted far worse) and the pieces of 'chicken' had a texture like rubber. My wife's tofu was so dry and tough she couldn't even chew it.In all honesty, i have no idea how you could even make a meal that tasted so bad.

Had a meal for 4 and a meal for 2 delivered early doors last Saturday. This was to feed 8 people and there was plenty left over. The order was delivered exactly when promised and was still piping hot. This place has upped its game recently and we’ve not had a bad meal unlike the Beijing Paradise which is terrible food. I collected so can't comment on the delivery. The food was ok, plenty of it but the egg fried rice was almost black and really salty - I've never had egg fried rice like that before.

Little Disappointed here as this was a good Chinese, not sure if a change of ownership but certainly the standards have dropped.

Worst experience ever cold over cooked food reheated

This was absolutely awful and by far the worst chinese I have ever had. We tried China town for the first time 6 months ago and were disappointed. We thought we would give them one more go. I'm not a fussy eater, but this was inedible. I couldn't even tell what the meat was suppose to be.

My wife & I visited China Town on a previous visit & were very pleased with the food & price. This time we found the menu had changed a bit but the food remains excellent, well cooked & reasonably priced.

Food is so tasty. Delivery is ridiculous, waited over 2 hours for food to be delivered.. No appolgy for it just said they was busy! If I ever order from here again I'll have to collect.

Never ordering from this company again. Their policy is to deliver to the furthest away last and allegedly this could take over 50 minutes from leaving the store to deliver. The food was bland and tasteless.

My fav dish is the crispy shredded chicken with lemon sauce, consistently good. Great delivery service always arrives quickly and hot, and very pleasant staff.

Ordered a chicken noodles and beef fried rice with pot of curry sauce...... can safely say it was a huge mistake ordering from this place.... chicken actually tasted like it was off the noodles somehow where chewy and the curry sauce was a pure taste of salt!! Chinese has to be my favourite food but 100% this was the worst I have had!!

As Tyrone put it below, "it's a little worse than average". Small portions and nothing we ordered got a review any better than "yeah, it's alright" unfortunately. 'Alright' is probably a fair assessment.

I've ordered food here plenty of times and not had any problems. Quick delivery and polite delivery person. I can't fault anything.

We've been regulars here for ages, couple of weeks ago they had a management change, gave it a chance, order was well over an hour late, also wrong, rang numerous times and spoke with just eat, the right order turned up 3 hours after placing our original order, tonight was no better, ordered at 6.15, got here at 8.20, not even warm, no offer of compensation, also they said it was delivered on the just eat site when it clearly was not. DO NOT USE.

we ordered our meal for 8pm and it arrived at 6.15 ??? we sent it back and rang china town they explained the fault was with just eat as they were instructed to deliver straight away. This whole experience just ruined what was supposed to be a chill out Friday night, the meal was ok but the beef chow mein was ineadable as the beef was sooo tough and dry.

Anyone looking for a nice Chinese takeaway,Do not go to this place!. Ordered a chilli chicken the other night and although last thing at night I'd of expected a good standard of food,what I got was so overpowering with vinegar it was disgusting and the chicken was pretty sparse too,more carrots!!.To make it worse they seem hard pushed to give you a smile or use basic manners. Sorry but you've lost my business as I'd rather go all the way to the Beijing paradise! Their chilli chicken is lovely and served with a smile!!.

We ordered sweet and sour chicken but got given curry sauce instead of sweet and sour sauce. We rang the restaurant and they said they wouldn't be able to deliver sweet and sour sauce for another 30 minutes. We also ordered prawn toast and that was very greasy with very little prawn. The rest of our order was pretty mediocre.

Salsa viscosa, verduras pasada y casi indistinguible, tuvimos que pagar extra por el arroz que estaba seco, muy salada y tenía huevos en él cuando se suponía que iba a ser sencillo. Mi hijo había dulce y agria, la salsa era vinegary el cerdo y pelotas para sumergirse y duro eran duras.

Ordered from just eat who then took our money and lost our order, all very confusing and haven't a clue whose fault it was! Eventually got our order nearly 2 hours later but was very enjoyable when it did arrive.

This is the third time we've ordered from them.. We've not been disappointed before but tonight has just ruined it for us. The portion sizes wouldn't have satisfied our 7yr old let alone sharing the dishes between two adults, it's not cheap either..

Food was unappetising, Very strong flavoured BBQ sauce overpowering food. Sauce was extremely thick giving a glutinous texture. small portions even though we had paid the extra for large. this is the last time i will try somewhere new. stick with what you know. would not use again

Crispy Chilli beef has 0 chilli to its name, not even a flavour! Rest of the food was good but would not order chilli beef again.

The second time I've ordered from China Town. Some items are nice, some bland and tasteless. The sauce on the special rice and chow mein was a little gloopy. However I would order the chicken wings again. Still prefer this chinese over my local one.

Decided to try Chinatown Takeaway because the other local Chinese takeaway was closed... Error!! Not only are the portion sizes much smaller and the quality a lot lower but, they also messed up the order by forgetting to deliver an item. The delivery chap returned with the missed item & then came back a third time claiming we hadn't paid for it..! Upon calling the Chinatown takeaway, they admitted fault but still expected us to pay the "debt collector" they had sent to our door! Avoid Chinatown and got to Beijing Paradise, it's much better all round!!
