Our favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. The flavor and the amount of the food is just right. For around 35£ you can have a two day meal you can't eat in one sitting:) and I love to eat a lot hehe

Get home to find this in my prawn crackers a dead dragon fly in them, totally ruined my food to then ring them up and complain and be offered a free bag of prawn crackers next time i come. Great service. Will never use the place again. Absolutely disgusting

Last minute decision to stop here for a meal. Quiet with being mid-week, but plenty of people picking up takeaways. Delicious food, plenty of it and piping hot. A first time visit for me but would highly recommend it.

Excellent Singapore fried rice and noodles, never had a bad take away from here in the last ten years always exceeds your expectations. I live in the Dunswell village and use the restaurant regularly and take away occasional.

We collected a takeaway from here today. It was awful all of it. The food was definitely not cooked today it tasted old. The chips were the worst I've received from anywhere. They were dry and old and some didn't even have potato in the middle. I even for a surprise mushroom in them. All this food went into the bin where China red should have put it instead of selling it to me. Never again.

Normally fantastic but picked up a takeaway and really was disappointed, food dried out, king prawn and pineapple had lots of tomato in it which is not normally in this dish, awful, chips and soft noodles dried out think it was day before food, big let down.

First time I've been and absolutely love it. The was was excellent and very quick on being served to your table. Will definitely be going again.

We had just arrived at our holiday cottage in Dunswell, and read the good reviews of this establishment, so decided to give it a try. We ordered chow mein and special fried rice, and it was roughly a tenner each. We ordered it on the phone, and picked it up ½ hour later. It was absolutely delicious and it was a large portion...if you have a small appetite 2 people would be happy with one meal. All in all, a great experience.

Could not fault the food and very chilled atmosphere. Not rushed and very authentic Chinese food

Nice food but restaurant it very dated, feels like your eating back in time, could definately do with a refurd. Staff are nice and very quick to bring your dishes! Would go again but the decor let's it down!

A family tradition, each year on Christmas Eve, we go to eat out as a family tonight. we went to China Red, we preBooked ages ago, and the food was brilliant, and the service was really nice. I highly recommend visiting. we really enjoyed everything we had to eat There was only one small issue. we prebooked a table ages ago but couldn't get one in the main area, which was a little disappointing But we got a complimentary wine and a box of chocolates, which was fantastic of them

From years ago when I first had the smoked garlic chicken was still amazing. Well worth the trip 😊

Dropped in unexpectedly as staying overnight in the area and had a very enjoyable meal, food was delicious and always attentive service.

Food was very good. I had a beef curry my partner had a chicken curry with salt and chilli chips which was also very nice. The only negative thing I can say is two of the staff were stood about 12 feet away from us all the time. I suppose they were there in case we needed something but it Made us feel uncomfortable and we felt we couldn't talk freely. If there had been more customers in the restaurant it wouldn't have felt like that but we were the only people there at the time. Apart from that it's a very nice place.

Very good service. We had Duck in Blackbean Sauce, Chicken Chow Mein and Egg Fried Rice both very good and reasonably priced. Restaurant could do with redecorating. Too much red and yellow.

Food was OK, but NO tofu (bean curd) dishes, so very disappointing for vegans.

Came here as a large group for a birthday meal. The food was absolutely gorgeous, it all came on on time and lovely and hot. Service was fantastic very polite and very quick. A small picky eater child was accommodated for food wise which was fantastic and he loved his plain crispy chicken. Would definitely return.

I've had an absolutely wonderful time here for mother's Day with my Two sons, delicious food and lovely wine. Staff were lovely and helpful. Would recommend this place. It's been a while since we were all here.

We had booked a table and it started to get busy when we arrived. We were shown to our table quickly and our drinks order was taken after a couple of minutes. Our drinks were brought out almost immediately. We ordered the hot mixed starter for two, which came out within minutes. It was very tasty and full of flavour. For our mains, we ordered the house special satay and a roast duck fried rice. The satay had plenty of peppers and onions, and lots of different meats. The fried rice was also full of meat and wasn't too stodgy or oily. Very quick, attentive service, the waiters were on hand as soon as you needed them.

Nice food but too quick!!!!, didn't have time to breathe. Starters, mains, beers and bottle of wine in under 45 mins

Staff friendly,showed us to our seat we ordered starters and mains,starters arrived within 2 minutes of the order being taken,plates was taken away and mains was brought straight away,was luke warm,green peppers was raw practically and also the onion. The experience from start to finish was about 15/20 no joking,it took me longer to travel to the place than cook my food,will not be going back any time soon.

Really nice food, reasonably priced and massive portions. If like me your eyes are sometimes bigger than your stomach you can ask for a doggy bag.😅

Enjoyed the food quite busy place

Food really nice, however some of the staff are really rude, and very impatient. It's never a relaxing experience in China Red, you feel like a burden and they rush you on, whether you're sat in to eat, or doing a takeaway order. It's also quite expensive for what it is.

Probably the best Dine-In Chinese restaurant this side of Hull. Polite and friendly staff, the restaurant always seems to be available for booking, and you won't go hungry as the portion sizes are quite large. I've gone her occasionally for many years, and I won't be stopping anytime soon.

Restaurant was cold and food was served very quickly

My family order from here not so often, only when we want the occasional, nice takeaway meal. However, when we last ordered, I can only assume I got food poisoning, as well as my dad. As I was on and off the toilet for the next 12 hours the day after. Was not a pleasant experience. Food tasted good. But did not sit well in my stomach.
