Really great Takeaway . The food is well cooked and tasty. Everything is of a good standard. We go for a treat and it never disappoints .

I might be sounding tight here. You’ve order a takeaway and it comes in its takeaway bag, because it has to. The whole meal is in that bag. It was when I got home and noticed the order stapled to the bag. First on the list was 10p for the takeaway bag. Now I know when you buy a bag in the shops, you have to pay for the bag… but a takeaway bag 10p REALLY!!!!!! It’s not about the 10p it’s just the cheek of it.

Absolutely beautiful! Lemon chicken, beef curry, chicken chow mein, egg fried rice & chips! So good!! Really nice chinese 😋 we all loved it!

Rang up and ordered king prawn fried rice, but they made chicken fried rice instead and were rather rude, implying it was my mistake. Also, had to give card number twice over the phone and had the impression then they weren’t listening. Was told be it would be 15 mins, but when I got there it was ready, going cold. Not my first time with complaint with this place - last time they sent the food out for delivery when I said collection. And the food is nothing special, they’re just lucky there isn’t much competition.

Recently had takeaways from 'China Kitchen'. The food was exceptional! Massive portions. The delivery people were extremely polite and happy. I highly recommend them!

If weatherspoons done Chinese food 🤢 only care about their family eating there. Not their customers and warm beer !!! Do not waste your money

Great Chinese never fails to deliver ,food is always fresh and tasty . It's that good that you can even see them cooking it . None of this hiding out the back or behind a screen like other takeaways . Highly recommend

We ordered our meal and within 20 minutes it was with us...Suspicious in itself! When we unwrapped everything the food looked like it had been either refried or sat around for a while. The Crispy duck wasn't! The whole thing tasted like something you bought from poundland at a discount price. The Chicken balls were so overfried that they were burnt brown & Black with sweet and sour sauce that was niether sweet or sour just simply blaaa! The chips certainly were left overs from lunch time or night before refried within an inch of losing any substance. Chicken curry wasn't spicy at all the sauce again just tasted of Blaa!! All in all a very unpeasant experience where the Boss should have a long hard chat with either the chef or the quality control manager. I have graded the service 4 Star but this only because it arrived very quickly. I have graded the Value 1 star based only on this experience. I work as a warden at a local caravan park and guests ask constantly about local good take-aways, On this occasion this is not one of them I would reccomend.

Ordered red Thai curry chicken that tasted of nothing. Also ordered satay chicken that tasted even worse. Noodles were dry and tasteless. Sweet and sour chicken balls tasted like fish. Even prawn crackers had no taste. I have thrown out the food in the bin. Disappointing and worse spent 29 quid in a very long time. I am sorry to leave such a bad review, but since last owners left (Evelyne), it has not been the same.

Very rarely have a takeaway in Stratford but have in the past had a reasonable singanpore chow mien from here before. Tonight’s effort was greasy, no taste whatsoever (supposed to be a spicy dish) and no meat, just had a few completely tasteless prawns in (supposed to be a mixed special) only taste came from some chopped up Onions. £6.10 - taking the Mickey. Will never go back

I am a massive Chinese food lover and I can hands down say that this has been the worst takeaway I have ever had. 2 items missing from our order, we wanted beef with out dish and it came with chicken. When I called them back to let them know we don’t have everything the guy told me we didn’t order that and hung up. Everything was greasy, the chicken balls were like soggy wet dough. Just tasteless and disappointing.

So I ordered online and paid for our takeaway. Checked the transaction was pending on my banking app. Food was delivered. An hour later at almost 9.30pm the delivery driver was back knocking on my door telling me I hadn't paid? Disgusted isnt the word. My kids were woken up and it's not the treatment I expect as we are regular customers for many years.

Very fresh and tasty . Just what I needed to see the new year in after an obviously difficult year. Satay skewers lovely and tender sauce excellent as always . Broccoli cooked Al dente perfect . Salt and chi🤩

Ordered my food at 7:50pm, got to 9:50pm and still no food. Called the restaurant and they said it will be 15 minutes, they are waiting for the driver to return to collect the food and hung up before I could talk. Awful service!

Really tasty food and though they were busy and it was late they did my order. Definitely be back for another takeaway, yum!

Usually pretty decent food, but my last takeaway they almost cremated our Sweet and Sour Chicken balls. It's bad that they were happy to deliver them overcooked and also charge for it.

Ordered satay chicken skewers and they were completely raw in the middle and had to put them in the oven to cook properly.

Picked up a Chineese last night as we usual do when we are in the area and as usual it was fantastic

After not going to this takeaway for a few weeks due to receiving a few wrong orders and not so good meals , they seem to be back on track . Crispy duck excellent , salt and pepper chicken crispy and flavoursome . And the house noodles had fresh crunchy veg and all meat was cooked to perfection .Wull be returning soon , getting back to how it used to be .

El pato aromático crujiente es genial, el arroz frito con huevo es sabroso, la carne crujiente está bien. . . . . Crujiente La única mosca en su ungüento son las bolas agridulces, en ambas ocasiones han sido muy poco cocidas y no están muy bien. Ir para el estilo de Hong agridulce es mucho mejor.

Thought we would try a different Chinese takeaway for a change so opted for China Kitchen. Ordered online which was easy to do and opted for a delivery (at £1.60). Asked for delivery asap. Having put the order through and paid for it, a message came up to advise it can be anything up to an hour. Over an hour later there was no acknowledgement email and no meal! They were obviously busy as it took me several attempts to get through on the phone only to be told they hadn’t received my order. I advised the money had been taken and I had an order number. Finally (having repeated my details 3 times) I was told my order was on the delivery van. Around 10 minutes later food arrived. Unfortunately it was luke warm and quite unappetising. Will not be going back. Extremely disappointed

Thanks for putting meat into my meal ( I'm a strict vegetarian ) and not willing to deliver a new one because " it wasn't yer fault " ... made me almost cry ( not because of the money ... ) ruined my night :(

Nunca habíamos ordenado desde aquí antes. Fue tan fácil hacer un pedido en línea y hubo muchas opciones. Estuvimos contentos con el precio y cuando llegó nuestro pedido, ¡había tanto de cada porción! Solía visitar mucho la cocina china cuando vivía en la zona, pero ahora vive lejos y esta fue nuestra primera vuelta por un tiempo. Qué alegría, así que ve a ver que es tan bueno como lo fue siempre, tal vez incluso mejor. El pato crujiente como entrante era divino y la carne de pollo igualmente deliciosa.

Este lugar solía ser increíble, sin embargo, lamentablemente, ya que los nuevos propietarios se han ido cuesta abajo. A lo largo de los años he tenido casi todo en el menú! ! Lamentablemente, ahora todo lo que está crujiente está empapado, le sobra la sal, lo que hace que se atragante con la mitad de la comida y los trozos crujientes de verduras recién mezcladas han sido reemplazados por tristes cojeras de papas a veces no identificables. Recently used China Kitchen for takeaway. Few issues with the food ordered - mixed vegetable noodles contained ‘fried cucumber pieces’ ?!!! And veggie spring rolls had a duck in them...so as a vegetarian I was quite disappointed with the dishes I’ve ordered

Perhaps we’re just lucky when other people haven’t been, but on two occasions recently when we’ve had a late evening takeaway it’s been superb.

Hace poco pasamos un tiempo en Stratford y buscamos un local chino para llevar a un parque de caravanas. Justo antes de pedir el menú especial para dos del menú pensamos que verificaríamos las críticas. Bueno, en ese momento pensamos que estábamos cometiendo un error al leer acerca de la rudeza y la mala comida fría, pero a pesar de eso decidimos seguir adelante.

Waited for over an hour, ignored requests for all dishes without onion , food soggy , wrong noodle dish also. Will not be returning.

We visited on the Christmas Market weekend and underestimated how busy Stratford-upon-Avon would be.

I arrived around 6.30pm and there was 4 other people in the restaurant. The restaurant looks a little 'tired' but there was plenty of choice and the food was hot. it was very cheap (i think under £15) and for the money it was ok

The food is excellent, cooked in front of you and always tastes fresh. It's definitely the best Chinese in Stratford area.

Early eve Saturday so not busy. Great food ready in 10 mins . Good value for money . Recommend . Only suggestion is that they might like to check why beef is so tough

Ordered Chicken curry with half chip and half fried rice, and Kung Po with half chips and half fried rice, as tourists we thought it would be okay turned out to be over £20 when the lady come out with order she told staff they had overcharged us and refunded £2.50 could easily have gone unnoticed

Rang at 8.40pm last night, to be told it would be an hour as they were so busy. Understandable as it's bank holiday. Waited up 9.50pm and rang them again to be told that it was on its way and would be there in a couple of minutes. 10.15 pm still no sign so ring again....its on its way.... Not happy by now as the food wasn't just for me. She then proceeds to tell me that they only have one delivery driver. Why they didn't tell me when I rang to order in the first place I don't know!!! 10.35 pm...... No sign of any food and my other half rings then up absolutely fuming and having a full blown argument with them. 10.40pm food turns up.... And the driver is then informed to give us £10 back.

Very decent food , tasty and also good value for money, and not long to wait for . Also I found staff helpful as sometimes is hard to choose .

La nueva administración no muy bueno, tardó 10 minutos en llegar a ellos por teléfono. Al realizar el pedido, la chica os repitan lo que pedí, fui a recoger y me dieron la bolsa. Cuando llegué a casa en lugar de darme pelotas de pollo me dieron arroz dulce y salsa y patatas fritas, llamó para explicar que tenía la comida equivocada y me dijeron que lo sentían pero estaban ocupados para entrega pero me daría dinero o una comida gratis la próxima vez.

Devolverle la nuestros chefs y frente de la casa. Sin duda no es tan sabrosa comida ahora. No es gratuito o galletas saladas de gambas. No pedir de nuevo.

If you want to feel like you are doing a restaurant a favour by ordering their food then you have come to the right place. Rude staff backed up by cr@p food. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. Food was edible at best, but had better in many other restaurants in Stratford. All I can advise is look somewhere else for your takeaway unless you fancy a mediocre meal.Might be reasonable, but so are may others around town.

Stratford is limited when it comes to Chinese takeaways but we've found this is about the best in the town centre.We've never had a bad meal , but at the same time it's not amazing.

Ordered meal for 2 at £20, terrible! bbq ribs were tough as old boots, two main meals tasted exactly the same ( red, sweet, sticky congealed mess) Beef was pre chewed by grandma, and fried rice, Ha, more like sweep ups from last night. totally dreadfull. AVOID.

In a very busy town like Stratford upon Avon ... It really is such a shame that no- one actually provides a decent chineese takeaway ... You can not order (because no one answers the phone) ... You can't be sure that you receive your full order if the order is 'eventually' delivered ... And .... To be faced with containers with a layer of grease floating on 'something' that is clearly not what was described in the menu ..Then be informed ...When you complain ..In person .(because no one answers the phone!) The next day ...' you should have called us directly if you were not satisfied' .... Terrible food ...Terrible service and ... Absolutely no care whatsoever for future custom ..We are not only local ..But also local business owners.. shame on you.

Thought post theatre takeaway would be ideal as China kitchen advertised open until 11.30. Turned up at 11.05 and they were shut! This isn't the first time this has happened. Suggest that you ring ahead to see if they are open. Very disappointed.

Fantastic takeaway always has constant level of quality unlike most takeaways and the staff are very pleasant. In at least 10 years of using this takeaway I have never had any disappointment with any of the meals.

had special noodle it was vile to sweet and no love to the meal just noodles and meat plonked on top only come here because visiting area never again also ribs were very fatty

Have used this place many a time and have never had a bad meal here! The food is fantastic, the service is superb, I often get a takeaway either from there or delivered (for free) can not fault any aspect of this little gem!

I use the China Kitchen for a Takeaway once a month and have done for some time.I have never been disappointed in the quality or quantity of the order.The food is of very high quality and tastes delicious. It is always fresh and non-greasy.The portions are good. I am always told 20 minutes for collection and have never had to wait. Service is polite and prompt.I live about 10 minute drive away and the food is still piping hot when I get it home.

I have begun to be a regular visitor to this town centre Chinese takeaway restaurant. The food is tasty, with reasonably generous portions and certainly very competitively priced for its location in the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon.It would be unfair to say this was very high quality fine Chinese food, but I have always found that I am not disappointed by the flavours and tastes of the dishes I have sampled.

The best Chinese in Stratford, but is let down by the poor service, it's a Wednesday night, I've been trying to get through since 7.30pm and it's now 9.40pm. I'm a regular at this Chinese and have been for a while, I order atleast once a week, and have spent a lot of money over the years, you would expect a better service, even more so when they even have my address saved. And maybe a free bag of prawn crackers for the regulars once in a while wouldn't go a miss! Over 2 hours of waiting and now I'm having to order else where!

Ordered food at 6.43 was advised would be 45 mins at 7.30pm phoned shop to be told lady had left15 mins later phoned shop again to be told they would phone back No call back did not answer our call,We are regulars at this take away and feel very let down with service we order 3-4 times per week spend a lot of money in this take awayIf we were told over an hour we would of collected food ourselves We have not received an apology or a call advising what the issue was When food finally arrived we refused delivery and used a Chinese closer to home with no problems We will not be using takeaway again and as they are so busy they will not worry about a regular who uses Chinese really 3-4 times per week pretty amazing in this day and age,We have regularly recommended this Chinese to visitors in town and will not be again Very disappointed not to receive an apology

As a visitor it's always hard to find Chinese take aways in the centre of Stratford. This one is a good find & always delivers the goods. Soup was better seasoned this time & the chicken fried rice was excellent. All for £7.20, great value & nice service.

for chines food you cant get any better in Stratford than china kitchen, the rice is always perfect and the dishes are quite big for a take away, and the staff are always happy and friendly

In my opinion hands down best Chinese. You get what you order, no surprises. Delivery can take a long time so sometimes it's quicker to go pick up if you can. The lady at the desk is friendly, but I must admit the inside of kitchen ect could really do with updating and good steam clean. It would have put me off if I hadn't sampled the food first.

We had a takeaway from here. Must say it was very nice.Can not compare it to another Chinese in the area as i never saw another.But great food & not to badly priced.

After placing my order on Saturday I waited 30 minutes before it was ready (it was a big order). I was a amazed by the number of people who came in and were known by the staff behind the counter. Obviously a lot of return visitor which says a lot about the place. When I arrived home the food was great and greatly enjoyed by all. At £42 for six persons I think it is great value.

Tasty, well cooked Chinese takeaway, delivered in reasonable time. Consistent quality. What more can you ask for?!

There are other options for Chinese food in Stratford, but they all have their shortcomings: poor value, badly cooked food, alarming predominance of Caucasian staff (is that racist?!) That's why we always head to China Kitchen for our late night takeaway.The food is well prepared (you can watch them cook it), the portions are generous and the service is great too. Some of the curries can be a bit sketchy (bit gloopy and luminous!) if you're not a massive fan I'd suggest picking something else off the menu. Would also recommend the chips too, however much ordering them makes a mockery of the traditional Chinese experience!

Had a meal delivered this evening but was very disappointed by the fact that I couldn't even eat half of it, it was cold and tasted burnt, will NOT be ordering again!!

Haven't had a take away from here for a good few years.Took ages to get through on the phone and then had a long time for it to be delivered, but it was lovely.Will be returning.

Brilliant. Salt ribs were very good. Chicken black bean sauce was the best black bean I have ever had. Chicken Szechwan was also very good. Let down was the pork noodle which was bland and dry. Just needed some more flavour. If this had been better then 5 stars.The special rice, which they did without fish, was also very good.

I order here every time I am in Stratford (at least once a month) and the food is consistently fantastic. I've not had a bad experience here so far. I've not had a better Chinese takeaway from anywhere else. Staff are friendly. Recommended!

Tried this Chinese tonight never again walked into pick it up the place was dirty the menus on the counters dirty , the staff looked like there uniforms had not been washed in a month got the food home to find hairs in it ended up throwing the lot in the bin what a waste because of there poor hygiene never again

Unfortunately with been the best Chinese in Stratford delivery does take an hour, but non the less food is warm and its very good quality, always had China Kitchen and always will, good value for money and his second to non in local Chinese takeaway. Collection is best here as quicker but either way delicious!

The food here is by far the best Chinese in Stratford. Unfortunately this means that everyone uses it. It takes a long time to get your food which you don't mind because it's so good when it arrives. The annoying thing is when there really busy they take their phone off the hook so when you call you just keep getting an engaged tone and eventually give up and go somewhere else.

Friends and I placed an order lastnight for takeaway to be delivered. The order was phoned through at 9pm and we were told that there was a wait of an hour- fair enough, it was Saturday night.I was really excited as its been a while since I've had a Chinese takeaway and I've heard good things about this place. 10pm came and went and about 10 minutes later we phones to check on the order- they were just making it? I don't know if our order was misplaced or what happened but it arrived at 10:30 by which time we were really rather hungry.Our order was all correct and we tucked in. It wasn't 'til I took a second serving of my vegetable curry and boiled rice that I realised how horrendously salty it was. It was so salty, I then couldn't finish it. I asked my friends if there's seemed too salty and they agreed. It was a shame and with the delay I was quite disappointed. I hope they were just having a bad day but I'm reluctant to try them again.I'd love it if the China Kitchen offered Tofu for veggie dishes

Not easy to get to by car until pedestrian regs end at 6pm. satnav doesn't get you there easily either. Persevere as it is a pretty good Chinese takeaway. Ordered chicken & sweetcorn soup & a chicken fried rice & only paid £6.90. Good VFM.Soup was lacking salt & as I was in a hotel room eating I couldn't add any to it. Chicken fried rice was mine of the best that I've tasted & im a connnoissof fried rice! Giv

First time I have visited here. Somewhat limited vegetarian options but the mixed vegetables in oyster sauce and the stir fried mushrooms and onions in garlic sauce were very tasty. Very fast service once the order was placed.

My boyfriend have ordered from here twice before and have loved every dish! Fantastic service - food always ready when they say it will be. We will be using this as our go-to Chinese takeaway place for sure. Highly recommended!

Once again I have used China Kitchen for a takeaway treat. This time for delivery (a first) rather than collection. As always, the service, clarity, helpful and polite telephone manner I received from front of house made ordering easy and swift. My meal was delivered well within the time expected and by a great to see smiley face. I tried their sesame prawn toast for the first time. All I can say is WOW, and thank you. Actual chunks of real prawn in a generous thick layer on top of crispy hot toast. Prawn Toast as it should be. Always had perfect food from this fab, and friendly Chinese takeaway.

I can honestly say this place does such yummy food. The food is outstanding. The Chicken with Ginger and Spring Onion and Crispy Shredded Beef is amazing.

Ordered a takeaway for several guests on Xmas eve (in excess of £60). We were able to order just prior to the 5 pm opening time and our order was delivered within 40 or so minutes. However it was clear that the food had been reheated from the previous days business and the dishes were smothered with the various sauces in an atempt to disguise this fact. Any establishment that us prepared to serve food like this clearly has no interest in customer satisfaction and therfore will receive neither a second order or,a recommendation from myself.

We had a takeaway delivered from China Kitchen, over the years I've tried most the chinese restaurants in Stratford but I have to say this is first that I will definitely use again. The food tasted good and fresh and one thing I noticed was that it wasn't over salted, a refreshing change for chinese food. We had a Kung po dish, Cantonese style sweet and sour and fried rice, a lovely meal.

Bit of a saga on this one, as I ordered on phone and lady was very helpful and read back whole order and said about 20 mins. I set off for take away about 10 mins after ordering and headed with my partner to pick up said order at the take away. When I was dropped off I saw there was a queue inside so spent 30 secs or so looking at menu outside, something didn't seem quite right - the menu looked different to what I had ordered off. Not put if I stepped inside and realised by English voice at counter and from kitchen that this was not where I had ordered from. It then dawned on me, I had got my names mixed up and thought I had ordered from the takeaway I was stood in, but actually it was another one. Oooops, quickly left. Drove to where I thought the other one was, never having had food from there before, so was thinking the worst. Well I could not have been more pleasantly surprised, China Kitchen is one of those lovely take aways where you can see the Chinese family cooking the food, and the delightful girl had my order ready to take. Got home and discovered a new gem of a takeaway, tasty great food, nice light fried rice with a fabulous chicken satay. Will deffo order from here again when back in Stratford!

We started ordering with China Kitchen last year. The lady on the phone is so lovely, orders are always on time delivered. The food is never greasy and always freshly cooked. My favourite take away in town.

We were staying locally during some truly awful weather so decided to dine in the hotel room. A quick bottle of wine from a Tesco and the special banquet for a tenner a head from the China Kitchen. Really excellent. Friendly service too.

Just had one of the best chinese takeaways I've had for a very long time. Food was fresh and tasty and all of us (4) really enjoyed each main dish we had, crispy beef was especially gorgeous and the king prawns in the schezuan dish were plump and juicy.

Tried then all and China kitchen is without best in town, good service and love food. However, did not get my egg friend rice on last order, sure it was an oversight and you will add to the next, thanks, 'dry' chicken chow main :-)

I must say this is one of the best take outs I have had in a long time, its hot, fresh not greasy, just what I needed!

ive had many chinese meals takeaways the lot and we ordered a take away from china kitchen and was awful food was reheated and the sauces tasted like washing up liquid the food was rank never tasted something so vile and awful never again!

I have to say in my lifetime I've had many a take away ; The China Kitchen has to be up there with the best Chinese .. Maybe the others in Stratford upon Avon are poor but this place is by far the one that serves the best food. Always a smiley cheery welcome whether its queues out the door or quite midweek order, no order is to complicated or a tweak to a favourite dish to help with dietary needs they will always try and assist. Once you get home and eat it you'll never use anyone else .. Try the crispy beef or chicken with chilli salt and try to leave some its just not possible; those on diets stay away awesome food quality and Service. 10/10
