Lemon chicken not tasty at all.

I normally like Chinese but this is a discrace the chicken was bland the rice didn’t taste of anything even though I asked for egg fried rice I person who took my order was really rude and incompetent I will never eat there again

Got mouldy pancakes for the duck, the chicken curry was so strange, chicken wasn’t cooked properly and had strange smell and the chilli chips had three squares of pepper on them. A lot more disappointing from last two experiences

Great Chinese! Ordered online for delivery to Meon Vale which you pay a bit more for due to distance but defo worth it! Great portions & quality. Will now be our go to Chinese

These guys have fallen out of love with Chinese food. No way would their food be acceptable in china….or anywhere. It’s not good. At all. Don’t waste your money. Food was cold and tasteless. Steer clear of their weird vegetarian options…vegetable curry = chow mien in a curry sauce. Super yuck. C’mon china kitchen find the love,

I can't understand the low ratings. I love the place, food is amazing, never had a single reason to complain. They have a big menu too, so there's plenty to chose from (Hong Kong chicken wins it all for me). They deserve better rating.

Rudest person on earth , delivered to the wrong address no apology told it’s my fault and that the driver has given it to someone else. Avoid at all costs , the 3.6 it has is flattering

First time ordering at China Kitchen for delivery on a Saturday night. It was 5 minutes over the time stated on the email, but worth the wait. All food was very tasty and great size. Only criticism (and its small!) Was there wasn't that much egg in the egg fried rice and we needed more pancakes for the duck pancakes. Would definitely use again. Very tasty food!

Food was yummy, ordered with my partner for dinner, chowmein (chicken noodle) was perfect, soft tasty meat that isnt at all dry. BBQ ribs were perfect, literally fell off the bone. The curry sauce was delicious and not too spicy. Singapore noodles were nice but could have been better, there was no spice to them and they should've been dry (too much oil), only reason for missing 1 star. Service was good but delivery system is a little old, you don't really know when your foods coming. Overall great food, would order again. Bonus- Free crackers!!

No matter if i choose to go in and pick up or get it delivered i have never once had a bad meal or experince ive been using china kitchen for as long as i can remember and its the only chinese il use in stratford 5 stars without a doubt

My partner ordered our meal and it took well over an hour to arrive, the chips were disgusting overcooked so we threw most of them away! The sweet and sour sauce tasted off.. will not be ordering again. Disappointed as previous orders have been great but when you spend money on a takeaway you expect decent quality and this was not..

Have always favoured China Kitchen. Tonight’s chicken chow mein was revolting. Not sure what the meat was but inedible cheap poor quality. Won’t be using again.

I have always favoured China Kitchen, but tonight the food was terrible and when I rang to complain the staff member couldn't understand what I was saying so I have come on here to communicate it. Food quality was poor , the meats extremely fatty and cheap. Food was delivered not cold but not acceptable when you spend £50+.

I'm not sure about some of these reviews on Google I have used this takeaway many times over the years and always found the front of house to be very friendly and helpful infact on quite a few occasions have gone way above, I've never had a bad meal neither has anyone I know that uses China Kitchen this is a small local business that needs local support and is doing a great job 👍

Smells disgusting. I’m sure the meat is rat!! I’ve ordered plain chow main, came with meat and smelt terrible. Rang up they sent a new one out no extras as a sorry. Again new one has meat in! No idea what meat but certainly isn’t any that’s edible. Waste of money.

The food here is fantastic. I would wholeheartedly dismiss any negative feedback in the other reviews - just reading them makes me roll my eyes at the privilege and entitlement these gripers exude. I can assure that the service is perfectly adequate. The staff members are generally polite and courteous, as long as you reciprocate their respect and refrain from being impolite yourself. The food arrives hot, fresh, and chock of full taste - they also kindly threw in a big bag of prawn crackers. The wait time is also exceedingly quick. Overall, such a good experience! Looking forward to our next takeaway 😊

My friend placed an order with you yesterday. Their order was right but mine wasn't. I ORDERED SINGAPORE VEGETABLE VERMICELLI. NOT SINGAPORE VERMICELLI. I AM A PESCITARIAN. I DON'T EAT MEAT. This dish has chicken and beef in it as well as prawns. I could eat the prawns but NOT the chicken and beef. I HAD TO PICK OUT THE CHICKEN AND BEEF. IT TOOK ME AGES. I was left with just the vermicelli noodles,onions,bean sprouts and the prawns. I didn't really enjoy the meal. It was curried too and was a bit hot to eat. The next time a person places an order with you over the phone,PLEASE LISTEN TO WHAT THEY ARE ORDERING. THEY ARE PAYING YOY FOR A SERVICE AND EXPECT THE RIGHT FOOD TO COME.

Worst service ever!!!! The guy is so rude to you in person, he doesn’t pay attention to what you’re ordering! He read my order back to me and he missed 4 items and then shouted at me saying I didn’t tell him and that I’m wasting his time! I spent £70 for me and my family! What a disgrace, I checked the bag over and I got the food and didn’t even get half my items! I asked for them then he refused to give it to me unless I paid again!!!! Even though I got a receipt for it!!! Would not recommend at all!!!

This is my favourite Chinese restaurant. My go to dish is chicken and cashews, special fried rice and crispy seaweed. I'm not completely sure what they do to make their chicken and cashew nuts better than the competition but it is. The portions are large so you can probably share that with someone else. Best way is to call them after 6pm when the Meer St bollard is down and then drive in immediately, park outside, pick up and head out.

Hardly ever do I like Chinese takeaways away from home but wow, this was really lovely. Food was of good quality and tasted great. The salt and pepper chips were not fully covered and seemed to just be at the bottom of the packet however the best chips from a takeaway I’ve had. Highly recommend

Disgusting food (microwaved rice, tough old chicken and watery tasteless soup), disgusting service (arrived very very late), would give zero stars if possible. Emailed owner to be told that 'the chef had 20 years experience and I should find another restaurant'. Charming!! Do NOT order from them.

I've tried many of the Chinese takeaways in Stratford upon Avon, but for me China kitchen is way above and beyond the rest. I've never had a bad meal from them EVER!, and I have had well over a hundred! (only ever at most once a week!) They are polite punctual with the delivery and more importantly the food is delicious. If you're looking for top notch Chinese takeaway then this is the place to go!

Ordered at 8:30pm, by 10pm still no sign of food. Would give zero stars if it was possible.

Disgusting service received a phone call to confirm my order and was met with accusations of prank calling I threatened by the women on the phone that the police will be involved. Will not be attempting to order from here again absolutely shocking behaviour.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!! Absolutely disgusted from China kitchen in Stratford upon Avon! Me and my partner ordered food on New Year’s Eve, we had to wait hours for the food only to have the wrong order, when informing them of this they asked us to come and collect the right one? However this was not acceptable and had to argue with them to re-deliver it!? .... it came wrong AGAIN!! We’ve recently just bought 1 pot of BBQ sauce to get home and realise it’s curry sauce!? Called up to explain our dissatisfaction and they blamed us for the wrong order. Absolutely dreadful service and will never be returning, stay away if you want good food!!! ❌

Tonight we had a takeaway from China Kitchen. Sadly we found a used lozenge, cough sweet in one of our dishes. Unsurprisingly, we could not continue to eat our food as it was just utterly disgusting that a sweet from someone’s mouth ended up in our food.... safe to say we will not be returning.

Cash only, which in 2021 only means a tax reduction exercise. Food was disappointing, with no flavour and obvious bottled sauce in the Szechuan dish. So sad, as we are new in town and looking to frequent local eateries.

Great choice, cooked well, reasonably priced.

I always enjoy the food: it's not expensive and yet still pretty decent and served in generous quantities. But only taking cash feels risky in these times. People finger their cash, hand it to the server, it all goes in the till, it's picked out and handed to another customer. When the contactless limit has been raised specifically to prevent this, it's poor that they continue to risk spreading the virus. Also very inconvenient as this is now the only shop I go to that doesn't welcome modern ways of paying.

What a JOKE! Awful telephone manner and service. I got shouted at on the phone. Food came on time but the taste was just BAD! I’ve had lots of Chinese takeaways in the past and I’m pretty confident this one is my bottom 3 list. Do you waste your money! Tesco’s Chinese ready meals are way better in comparison.

Recently. I have a deep obsession with Chinese food. The food here was lovely and hot and filling.

So disappointed this evening!! Since the old owners have left slowly but surely the food quality has gone downhill. We waited for two hours for food this evening, we even called to check the status of our order. My husband's order was wrong, but he insisted he was fine with what he'd got... Despite that meaning he paid almost £7 for a small, not very eggy, egg fried rice. My order was correct, however my blackbean sauce seemed to have misplaced the black bean element and was almost beef in tasteless gravy.

Have always found the food good and the service polite

I would seriously advise not to order any food from this takeaway/ as it made all three of my family who consumed it very ill, including me.

Over an hour and a half to deliver and food very poor. Couldn't recommend this place as I'd never use it myself again!

Online ordering was easy. Delivery was quick. Most of the food was OK. Just OK. I ordered a Thai green curry. When you think of Thai thoughts of basil, chili, lime, Lemongrass, coconut come to mind. Oh no, not here. My green curry was not green at all. It was grey and tasted of salt and cornflour. It was frankly terrible. Message to C. K. If you can't cook Thai the don't.

This Chinese is the best I have ever tasted and the customer service was amazing. I would definitely come again.

Terrible food I looked on line for the menu and the thick noodles with chicken on the menu looked lovely.. and my hubby orded a special chow main well I can safely say I won't be ordering again. Food cold nothing like the pic they gave me egg noodles and said they was thick.. no they wasnt. My hubby had small batter things hardly any meat in them and two pots of sweet and sour taste like vinegar .. small bag of crackers. The chicken bits were just a strip of chicken..... I called him bk and he didn't apologise just said they are thick noodles.. terrible!!!

These boys know how to cook! Quick too! Everything is 10 mins and there food is on point. Sweet n sour chicken to die for, crispy shredded beef that you would trade your mother in for and swift polite service. These are the go to guys for Chinese take out in Stratford and Warwickshire. They even deliver.

There is nothing remarkable about this typical Chinese take away. You will find all the usual things on the menu but it provides parking on its doorstep and is open at night in an area where takeaways of any kind are in short supply

Really bad food. Very sweet. Chilli beef over cooked or Re-cooked to the point of disintegration of meat. Soup sweet, prawns taste very old, pork dish watery. Only thing that was half good was the bean Sprouts.

Excellent food, they use first class ingredients and don't skimp on them. Cost is a little more than usual run of the mill takeaway but you do get what you pay for. I would highly recommend

Ordered at 7:30pm. Waited over 2 hours for our meal, called twice only for the person on the phone to argue and say it was not his fault that they had taken so long. On a £34 order they offered £4 discount - that’s £2 for every hour we had to wait. Could not believe the manner in which the man on the phone spoke to me. Ended up cancelling the order as it had still not arrived at 9:30pm!! Seems like the new management do not have the same customer service levels as previously. Will definitely never visit again!

Bring back the old owners!!! The standard of food now is extremely hit and miss!! The vegetables are small and soggy, the customer service is shocking! Have missed items often and then refuse to come back... Even when you've paid?! They don't even remove the "poop pipe" from the prawns anymore!! Just not the standards we are used too after 10+ years of amazing takeaways! Again.... Bring back the old owners!!!! This takeaway has gone so down hill!!

First time visit Avon . Just at the right time and right location I ran into this take away restaurant. Ordered food back to the hotel. I, a Chinese and my husband, a western guy. Both us enjoy the food very much. The kitchen treated me a bag of pawn crackers was taste good too. Definitely come again when I next visit Avon.

We visit this takeaway often and it’s usually good but tonight all the food was dripping with grease. Shame as usually very tasty. Pricey but good portions.

Absolute joke, can't get an order right to save their lives.

Poor service! Spent over £50 online on a meal for my family as a special treat, food was 3 hours late, first called up after a hour and a half asking where my delivery was and was told that the chef was busy doing are order as we spoke and that it would be about 30 minutes before it was ready, then I called every 30 minutes after for the remaing hour and a half getting the same answer, finally got bored of the lies and spoke to manager, who then went on to say that they where very busy and struggling to get the orders out, I went on to say that I had children here very upset and wanting to know when there dinner was going to arrive, he continued to say that he was sorry and that they where busy and offered to send us extra food for waiting such a long time, we received 2 bags of prawn crackers for waiting 3 hours for food, don't think I'll be ordering food from there again as they are purely greedy taking as many orders as they can and then not reallt careing if and when you get your food! Absolutely sickening service!!! If I could give less then 1 star I would

Rude and unhelpful on the phone, made a mistake with my order and demanded we pay delivery cost for them to come back with correct food! Unbelievable

I would not recommend this place! The chap who answers the phone to take orders is very difficult to understand and quite rude when you ask him to repeat what he has said after reading out your order. He speaks very quickly and seems to try and rush you through your order. We ordered from there on 10/3/18 and was delivered food that was not what we had asked for. We called China Kitchen to inform them of the wrong order and get it collected so we could have our right order re-sent. The man on the phone said it was our fault and that we had made the wrong order and said he would only send out the correct food if we paid extra for it. We said that was not acceptable and we ended up with him putting the phone down on us. We now have food that we dont want and could have easily been resolved.

By far the best Chinese takeaway in Stratford (I've tried them all). Very friendly staff, food always delivered on time if not early. Very good prices for the quality of food.
