Delicious food that was SUPER quick. Portions were great size and it was well priced. The live piano music was a nice touch as well.

We had a great quarter duck for lunch in here. It came quickly and was reasonably priced. It also tasted very nice with the right level of crispiness. The restaurant is also on the seafront which is a plus. Highly recommend.

I’m 💯 a dim sum fiend and this place was so yum, the dim sum was delicious with a great menu and service was so attentive and friendly. Roast duck was also delicious, hardly any to no bones so you got more for your buck which was amazing and delicious - we’ll be back :)

My wife and I visited recently, she had the Salt and Pepper Soft Shell Crab and I had the Kung Po chicken with Egg Fried Rice. The food was exceptional, and delivered with surprising speed. Service was good and we really enjoyed our meal.

Visited Brighton and found this restaurant with a decent rating, but was deeply disappointed by the dimsum. Particularly bad were xiaolongbao (with no soup), egg tarts, the skin of hargao is too thick, etc. Generally the food is quite bad, but the prawn seems fresh. The service is decent too.

The food was absolutely delicious, went in without a reservation but we were accommodated without issue. Staff were very friendly and helpful, decor was lovely, the live pianist was a nice touch as well. Would definitely go again.

This is so far one of Brighton's greatest Chinese restaurants. When we eat in for dinner, the food comes out quite quickly—it seems like you place your order and it gets to you in five minutes or less. Additionally, the staffs are really attentive. We placed an order for special fried rice, egg fried rice, fried beef in bean sauce, and sweet and sour prawns. They're all quite tasty, and we plan to return for dim-sum this weekend.

An absolute gem. If you are craving Chinese food this is the place to be. We ordered prawn dumplings, egg fried rice, chicken with lemon, crispy pork belly and egg tart for dessert. The servings are huge, the price is very good, the staff are very attentive to your needs and the place is very clean. We are looking forward to dining here again and try the other dishes when we come back to Brighton. We are very happy with our experience in this restaurant.

Love this restaurant, we go as often as we can. Our last visit we took our nan to celebrate her 90th, I can’t speak highly enough of the staff, they made the meal feel very special. We always recommend this place to our friends and family

I recently visited China Garden and I have to say, I was really impressed! The food was delicious and had a great variety of options. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was also really nice and had a cozy ambiance. Overall, I had a great experience and would highly recommend China Garden to anyone looking for great Chinese cuisine.

Hong Kong food is very popular in the UK🇬🇧. According to Google reviews, the service at Shuangxilou Restaurant is not good, but after my experience, it is still OK. The food tastes pure. The waiter is very patient in giving suggestions and will match the dishes according to the customer's taste. , English, Mandarin, and Hong Kong can be freely switched, and the food is served at an amazing speed. Dear friends, you can feel free to choose this Chinese restaurant when you come to Brighton Beach.

I’ve visited this restaurant twice now and both times it’s been amazing. The food is cooked fresh and came out very quick considering we came as a group of 8. Service is great, all the staff are lovely and funny. Can’t wait to come back

Wonderful food, super friendly people and excellent service, with a great choice of dishes. We ordered the crispy duck, followed by Cantonese style fillet steak and pork fillets with egg fried rice with ice cream desserts. The flavours were sublime and can honestly say this is the best Chinese restaurant we have ever eaten at. Would highly recommend this restaurant 5*****

We arrived on a busy Thursday evening 15/02/24 and unfortunately despite many members of staff walking past us, we were completely ignored and left standing by the door for around five minutes. In the end we left as we were not made to feel welcome and the staff are unfriendly. An unfortunate experience as we've had great meals here previously, but we won't be returning.

Good Dim Sum on a Sunday. Not quite up to the best available in London, but pretty good.

This Chinese restaurant has been one of the best since I moved here four years ago. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is top-notch. However, I must admit that it is a bit on the pricey side.

Its basic. I wish they’d put more effort into the taste of the food rather than the speed at which it comes out (our 3 dishes came out within 3-5 minutes)

We went on Saturday night, absolutely appailing service, the staff were extremley rude and all they were concerned about was shutting the restaurant and going home. I would strongly recommend not visiting this establishment.

In Hong Kong restaurants, some waiters are extremely unfriendly to mainlanders, which makes them feel very bad.

Had dinner here last night with my family to celebrate brothers birthday. Food was mediocre, not great. Woke up vomiting and am sick. My mum is also and brother and his girlfriend. Really disappointing and I can only assume they do not have good food safety. Avoid.

Decided to choose this place due to the good reviews and the constant stream of customers inside the restaurant. However, the food was appalling, the food was bland and had barely any seasoning except from salt. The meat tastes like it has been boiled before hand and then they had poured the sauce on top. The sauce itself was nothing exciting either. I’ve had better from the Chinese takeaway down the street. The prices were ridiculous for the quality of the food. On the other hand, the service was very attentive and we did receive our food quickly. The restaurant also was clean. It’s the shame the food wasn’t worth it. I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this restaurant.

I ordered watermelon juice and it didn’t come then charged me for it

Food was great and the service. The only reason I gave this 4 out of 5 stars is the wine is ridiculously expensive. Cheapest bottle of house is £25. We paid £60 for 2 bottles of wine.

Expensive meal, stuck in a tight corner so close to the nearest table that our night was completely usurped by their conversation - not their fault, I’m sure they didn’t want us hearing every word they said either. We could not even have our own conversation. If they are going to charge high prices, then they should ensure a positive dining experience.

The dim sum menu is why I come here and it's consistently satisfying, even if it's not next level good

Ate here last year for our Christmas work do and it was honestly one of the nicest Chinese restaurants i've been to. We were waited on like royalty and the food without a doubt matched the service! The menu is vast and we certainly tried a fair chunk of it. The main highlights being the Dover sole, lobster and kung-pao chicken. Couldn't recommend enough!

My first experience of a Chinese restaurant that served dim sum. I went for lunch with friends, and I was impressed with China Garden. Efficient, friendly service, excellent food. I will be returning.

Great meal. Portions were good so ordered too much 🤣all very tasty and service was fab. We didn't book and they made no fuss squeezing us in and the were busy. Obviously very popular as a queue formed at one point. Lovely evening. Well done.

This is the place I go for special occasions, because its a bit more on the expensive side, but its worth every penny! Their Dim Sum is so good, and they have alot to choose from. Staff are great, no matter how busy it is!

Lived in HK for nearly 50yrs. This is the most authentic Chinese restaurant I have been to in UK. Much better than "Chinatown" in London etc.

Stopped in for a late dinner, not knowing where to go. We were very impressed with the quality of the food, (not smothered in sugar, oil, or cornstarch), and the attentiveness of the service. Pleasantly surprised by a really excellent meal and good value for money too, walked (or waddled) out highly content and congratulating ourselves on an excellent choice.

Food was great ! But their attitude and the service, i think it is the worst we have ever experienced. Even if the food was great, would never go back again.

Come here regularly for a Friday night treat. Amazing chicken satay and dim sum! Great attentive service especially a waitresse called May, she is very friendly and is interested in the customers and gets to know them personally which is such a lovely touch. Staff are always checking up.on you to see if you need water topped up and feedback about the food. All round excellent 👌

Forget the negative reviews, if you are in Brighton you have to try this Chinese Restaurant! We chose the set menu, which included the crispy aromatic duck and it was fantastic. The staff are very attentive and contrary to some reviews, they do not rush through the service, in fact we were asked whether we would like a 10 minute break between courses, which we really enjoyed. We will definitely be returning..

This was the second time we had visited China Garden in two years. The experience, service and food were all excellent.The dim sum was delicious. Every mouthful a total delight.The staff are cheerful, quick and attentive just perfect.This is our favourite dim sum restaurant now that we have moved house into the nearby area. Some chinese restaurants in UK seem to use a mass production approach. The chef at the China Garden in Brighton in contrast is an artist and clearly must love his job. We had fish soup to start with.Delicious and subtle in flavour with just enough ingredients. This was followed by lettuce wraps whose filling and sauce were exemplaryWe finished off with half a duck with the usual onion , cucumber and pancake accompaniments. The duck was well cooked and had more than enough meat .But the star of the show was the sauce. Tangy and beautifully complimenting the rest of the dishAnd all this combined with attentive friendly wait staff , beautiful table cloths and more than adequate social distancing of table.And all for £50 for two

Lovely Food and great friendly service, we were there as a group and there were 3 other groups from our conference there who also had great meals. This restaurant was recommended by locals to us and we weren't disappointed

I visited with a group of colleagues whilst here on conference. We were greeted straight away and shown straight to our table. We were served promptly and the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and there was nothing to fault. We went here on recommendation and I can see why it is a popular spot.

Called in about 7.30pm on a Sunday evening. Excellent food and excellent service. Would definitely go back again. Had a set menu for 2 - so much food - felt embarrassed that we really could not eat it all - it was enough for 4 people !

I want my waiters to be ready with a full jug of water ready to refill my thirst. Didn't even had to ask and in 1 second my glass was full again therefore back to stuffing my mouth with saucy chicken balls. Also, toilets are downstairs and very clean.

Great food, great service, spacious surroundings. There are so many second rate Chinese restaurants, it was a pleasure to find one that reminded us why going out for a Chinese meal is so much better than a takeaway!

My wife and I went to this restaurant for their dim sum menu and we couldn't have been happier. Their baos and noodles were amazing but the best were without any doubt their grilled pork dumplings. A real piece of China in the Brighton. The staff was also great and the lady that brought us the bill was very happy and friendly when my wife tried to compliment the food in an improvised chinese!Tai hao chi le!!!

First time visiting here and as a solo diner I was still made to feel welcome which isn't always the case. I have to say the service was the fastest I've ever experienced, it was literally a minute between placing my order & the food being served..astonishing! I had the Chicken & Black Bean sizzler,generous portions,tasty & reasonably priced. The restaurant also has a nice position,I could see the sea from my window table. Recommended

Top quality Chinese! Little bit pricier than back home so moderate what you order as good sized portions and we simply ordered too much. Cheapest red wine £26 the Shiraz was very good! Very enjoyable!

The garlic prawns and the satay chicken 🐔 tasted lovely .a couple of the male waiters came across a little rude but it was busy unlike the female waiters who came across to be very friendly

We go here twice a month, usually on a Friday. Service is slick, food is freshly prepared and always super tasty. The crispy seafood noodles and Peking duck with pancakes are always a treat. Few restaurants can pull-off perfectly steamed xiaolongbao, delivered piping hot to the table, but The China Garden does it well, alongside other fantastic staples, such as the char sui cheung fung and the pan fried dumplings. Finish off with the steamed egg custard buns and a post prandial nap in Regency Square, as your Ringo parking app counts down its last few minutes and puts you on the wrong side of the law.

i ordered crab claws. they delivered one. Tasty ginger sauce , but not enough for a 5 pound starter.i ordered roast duck the portion was so small. im still hungry .im not someone who eats a lot , on top of everything.def wouldnt recommand.

We fancied a quick something to eat in the evening and whilst staying close by we haeded here in the hope of a walk in which we luckily got (but only just) the restaurant was incredibly busy for a Wednesday.This a great Chinese, standard fayre at ok prices but delicioulsy cooked and swiftly served, did what it needed too perfectly.

Visited this restaurant after having Googled “Best Chinese in Brighton”. It did not disappoint. The food was served promptly, was the best Chinese we have ever tasted and the setting was authentic and clean. The menu choice was terrific and it was great value for money. You must try it.

We had a shared starter of lettuce wraps then shared Singapore noodles and prawns with mange tout peas and. All delicious and such lovely people serving us. Will definitely go again!

Having not booked a table, we were very pleased that they managed to accommodate us. Food was very very good and to a high standard, very tasty and great service. Would of given 5 stars but when I checked my receipt I had been charged £4.20 for a small bottle of beer and there was also a service charge added which I don't agree with but did pay.

A dinner date with brother and sister and law - 4 people in total. The restaurant was very busy, as per my previous visits. The team are very speedy as they are extremely busy - this, unfortunately means that as a customer you are not felt to be as important as one would like as they are flying around from table to table.I always enjoy the food and it is well cooked and well presented. We shared half crispy duck as a starter and enjoyed separate main meals - I plucked for the chilli shredded beef (one of my favourites). Wine was very good but slightly pricy @ £29.We asked for a second bottle but unfortunately as the waiting team were bustling around, the second bottle never arrived until food was eaten and as such was too late.Not a cheap restaurant, food is always good for the regular diner but probably best as a location for a special occasion.

Last night of our Brighton trip so we just turned up here and had the nicest food of our stay. there were 4 of us, our friends had a set meal for two and my partner and I went for the dumplings and then the crispy duck, lovely! Struggle to find any fault with this food so I won't try ! Certainly up there with the best sit-down Chinese meal we've had, honestly. Our friends were of the same opinion. Will head here again next time we're in Brighton for sure...Try the lemon chicken !

My wife and I had another nice meal in this very popular restaurant. Friendly staff with a good selection of food. The Sichuan king prawn and scallops in ginger and spring onions particularly tasty. The dim sum is also very popular. We will be going back very soon. Booking highly recommended even for lunchtimes.

Lovey dinner with family - Rare these days to be able to get crab claws and they didn't disappoint. Crispy duck was so tasty as was everything - a rally good meal.

Very disappointed!!!!Marbe they change chef's but I ask so many dishes and the Singapore noddle look like it was a legt over, looks like rice crumbled. They use sweet and sawer sauce for the port ribs, when in manu was different.Really, ruin our family lunch.

Ate here in Xmas holiday break 2019.. we passed the restaurant early in the afternoon and popped in to have a quick look around. We were recommended to book a table which surprised us. We were glad we did. The placed filled up very quickly in the evening. The food was very good and prompt. Good service and good atmosphere. my wife particularly like the crispy chilli beef and still comments on it a year later. Very pleasantly surprised and had a good time.

Llevo 20 años viniendo aquí, regularmente dos veces al año cuando visita Brighton. El domingo pasado notamos una clara caída en la calidad. Mucho si nuestra comida estaba tibia y tenía un sabor fresco, como quizás recalentada. Como siempre, el servicio fue excelente, pero es triste ver que un restaurante chino que alguna vez fue excelente sirve comida tan pobre. . .

El personal era muy agradable y atento y la comida realmente excelente con porciones realmente generosas.Probablemente porque llegamos un poco tarde a las 2 pm un sábado, el restaurante solo tenía 2 o 3 mesas ocupadas, por lo que nuestra comida fue bastante rápida, ya que sin duda la cocina no estaba demasiado presionada.Aunque sí, es uno de mis platos favoritos, la carne de res y los fideos fritos con salsa de frijoles negros (más pimientos, etc) fue la estrella indudable para mí. Sufro de privación del sabor post Covid, así que no he ido a muchos restaurantes, pero en realidad pude probar esto. Pequeña nota al hacer el pedido, las porciones son generosas. Pedimos 2 porciones de arroz hervido pero eran tan grandes, 4 de nosotros tenemos un trabajo y creo que nos llevamos un poco a casa junto con el pulpo tailandés (frío) que pedimos demasiado.La factura que incluía mucho té chino era de unos 25 por cabeza, lo que, teniendo en cuenta lo que pedimos, era razonable.Sin duda volveremos, con suerte cuando tenga más gusto. Entonces tal vez hayan arreglado la gran mancha de humedad bastante desconcertante en el techo cerca de nuestra mesa

Visitamos aquí durante nuestra estancia en Brighton.La camarera fue educada, atenta y la comida llegó bastante rápido a pesar de que estaba muy concurrida.Pedimos unos 5 o 6 platos diferentes, incluido el bistec chisporroteante. Simplemente se derritió en tu boca y estaba tan tierno. Todo estaba caliente y muy sabroso.Recomendaría encarecidamente comer aquí y definitivamente consideraría visitar Brighton nuevamente solo para poder regresar al China Garden. Mi esposo y yo pensamos que era una de las mejores comidas chinas que hemos comido en años.

Pedí una entrega a través de Uber Eats. La comida estaba fría, pero ese podría haber sido el viaje para la entrega.Sin embargo, el entrante satay de pollo no se había cocinado correctamente. Apenas era posible cortarlo y tuve que tirarlo, ya que no era comestible.Resultó ser una comida cara que no pude comer.

Cuatro de nosotros comimos aquí en septiembre de 2020. Todos comimos diferentes. Pedimos y las comidas estaban con nosotros en 5 minutos, lo cual era preocupante, ya que no podrían haber sido recién cocinadas. Mi amigo tenía la carne deshebrada que todos probamos y nadie podía decir qué carne era. No era comestible. Comí langostinos que estaban tibios con jengibre y verduras encima. El arroz frito con huevo también estaba insípido. Los fideos de Singapur estaban nuevamente tibios y no al nivel esperado.No particularmente barato. No está fresco. Y no sabroso. Cargo por servicio obligatorio y no merecido.Evitar.
