China Express in Halton

The food from here is amazing! I've been coming for over 2 years never had a bad meal. Would recommend to anyone.

Order a banquet for 2. Unfortunately I am now paying for it. Not even 2 hours after I ate it, I was being sick, had the sweats couldn’t keep nothing down. The spring rolls was basically raw, the beef was like string. The curry was lovely. Normally my local but unfortunately won’t be ordering again. Such a shame as it used to be a lovely Chinese. Food came within 20 mins when they stated 1hr 30mins.

Ordered 2 noodles boxes with delivery was £14.10 which was fine ordered them lots of time to work unfortunately they gave us 1 meal which was sweet n sour chicken n rice!! Tried to ring them no one so it have left 2 girls very hungry!! Wat happens wen your food comes at 11.25 and its wrong who can u contact..very disappointed 😞

Ordered a big family takeaway for 8 over the phone. Various starters, meals & extra dishes. Collected in 20 mins despite being Mothers day. Food was piping hot & excellent. 3 x free bags of prawn crackers & fortune cookies also given. Would highly recommend & will use much more often.

We moved into the area nearly 12 months ago and started using China Xpress as our nearest takeaway that delivered, for convenience. We then started ordering as a weekly treat. Initially the delivery times were reasonable (30-45 mins) and the food was always hot and delivered quickly by friendly people. Over the last four to six months the service has deteriorated so much - the food tastes dreadful - chips are rock hard and the sweet and sour balls are nothing more than enormous, greasy doughy lumps - even the sweet and sour sauce has been vinegary! My husband's last vegetable curry was a liquid mess of mostly cabbage which smelt and tasted dreadful. The delivery lady we've had recently is extremely surly and having now had between an hour and fifteen minutes and an hour and a half's wait for the last three orders in a row, we certainly will not be using them again even though they are the only Chinese in the area that does delivery - not worth the money in any shape or form.

The meal was great and the staff really nice. I ordered Salt & Pepper chicken and a Hot box and they were delicious.

I went to China Express for a treat takeaway for myself and the girl behind the counter was very helpful and polite. The service was quick as I went in early. The food was very very tasteful. The prices are reasonable as well and I would definitely order from there again.

The curry is absolutely amazing.But am afraid that the chips , spring rolls etc are from , maybe Iceland ? Threw in a chip fryer x Not fresh potatoes etc x Not what I expected

We ordered a take away tonight, it arrived within 15 mins which is ridiculously quick for a sat night. I ordered the sweet noodle box..... absolutely vile... please see pic of my illuminous noodles. Then my husband had salt and pepper chips which were hard and sweet chilli chicken the sauce was watery, again vile. I’ve ordered from here in the past and it’s always been nice but certainly won’t be going back in a hurry

We ordered last night and we spent quite a fair amount of money. The food took over an hour to come (which to be fair, I prefer as you know it’s fresh) when it came the chips were cold, the spring rolls were basically just filo pastry, there was no filling at all! Additionally we ordered special fried rice with no prawns as my boyfriend doesn’t like them and when it came it was FULL of prawns, do they not realise that we may have ordered without prawns for an allergy reason?! We tried to call back to explain about the rice and there was no answer! In the past we always ordered from here for Chinese food but we won’t be doing again!

Awful found some sort of foreign object in the chips tasted vile and smelt like poo. Myself and my family feel sick and my partner was sick when he found this. Will be reporting.

They have a fabulous menu including English dishes. The food is cooked freshly for each order and you get plenty of it.

ordered a vegetable noodle box as i had been told they were nice from here. came in a box with prawn crackers and they were indeed very good, the box is delectable big.

Well I have to say I was very disappointed with my meal... I had beans o looking forward to some salt and pepper chips after being away... they were dry tasteless no spice at all... the curry was watery and the rice was mediocre... won't be ordering again!!

Worse meal ever from a takeaway. Boiled rice all stuck together. Chips awful. Thai green curry passable

Beautiful food, fast and friendly service! The salt and pepper chips are a must! The mixed starter is fab!

The food is very nice, the service is quick, and the staff are very welcoming. There is a few vegetarian options.

Best Chinese takeaway in the area, always cheerful, very fast service, hot tasty food. Telephone delivery available, only take cash.

Popped in for a quick bite to eat and it was quick! Spring rolls were a bit smaller than my usual takeaway, but were very tasty and nicely cooked! Chicken curry was perfect! Quick visit, quick delivery, quick review but worth 5 stars!

If you like English....Asian...Chinese...Oriental...Cuisine then look no further....one of the best fast food outlets in the area..

we ordered by phone and arrived 10 mins later the food was ready the service was great and the food was lovely will be using them again

Así que 5 estrellas por el servicio pero como no saco el chef cocinero/chef buena servirá una comida horrible!!

As always top class take away. Lady owner makes you feel welcome and cannot do enough for you. She always makes an effort with my little girl and takes in interest in you as a person. Food is always amazing

Use this take-away regularly for their dim sum - great selection - also the hot and sour soup, ribs, singapore noodles and they do sui mai - my favourite

Ordered several times during long night shifts and have always delivered a hot meal on time. Free prawn crackers with every meal. Delivery drivers are also very courteous. Will keep using them.

Very disappointed with the taste and quality from here. Seems hard to find good quality tasty Chinese food in this area.

Ordered a takeaway new years eve picked up the meal at the time arranged the food was hot and tasty only one problem the chicken in plum sauce was not in plum sauce

The best Chinese food I have ever had, I have tried many many Chinese resturants but this one tops them all, definitely recommend

Saturday night and i'm sat in. Again. Salivating. I glance over to my partner who is open mouthed, tongue out, saliva dripping watching the tele. Is this really my life? I pondered. Trying to add a little spice to the relationship, i suggested yet another take out. China express i thought aloud- he immediately grabbed his mobile, googled the number and requested salt n pepper chips, vermicelli and spring rolls. Upon entering i was given a warm oriental greeting 'we have been expecting you' she said bowing to me. She gave me complimentary prawn crackers- which means.... We will be back!!! I recommend this takeaway, not only is the food delicious but you can see the chefs cooking it in the clean open plan kitchen

Sometimes I order from here and get a fab meal and I'm extremely satisfied. Other times I have decided not too finish my meal just because I wasn't enjoying it. Can also be quite pricey for what it is and portions are smaller than average. Also it seem garlic is the only ingredient they use to cook nowadays.

I used to be a regular, but stopped when the crispy shredded chilli chicken became chewy chicken more often than not. Other bits stopped being as good as well. Shame, it was great a few years ago.

Just had delivered soup, quarter duck and some nibbles. It cost a fortune and the portion size was tiny!!! The chicken in the soup was awful, the duck was burnt to nothing and the ribs where so dry I couldn't chew the meat plus everything was freezing cold. Won't be returning!

Delicious take away Chinese food! Great that you can see your food being cooked in the open kitchen, although I always feel that they could put a little more veg in the dishes other wise very good, Staff are friendly and efficient they also offer a delivery service .

This place used to be called the Chinese Open Kitchen and you can openly view your meals being prepared as you wait, its a unique feature and reassuring to see your meal next up on the wok...they do an excellent range of both Chinese and Thai food, delivery etc, and the fact they always have a good crown of customers says it all....
