Perfect food and reasonably priced. I got the chicken chow mein. Keep in mind the restaurant opens at 5 pm.

The place is cash only. Had to run across the road to the petrol station to get cash. Kung Po was not very spicy. Chicken was dry and tasteless. Not very impressed.

Food is great and cheaper compared to some other Chinese takeout. The service is great to have had no problems except than one or twice due to miscommunication

AVOID! Food arrived cold and not very nice. When I called to ask for a refund for the cold food they asked me to bring the cold rice and chips back in a plastic bag to them in person. When I explained I cannot leave the house they refused to help and said I would need to. I asked to speak to a manager who refused to speak. Worst food and customer service.

This is the best Chinese we have had in years. Very authentic,just like a Chinese should taste like.,not greasy and the Singapore rice and vermicelli were nice and spicy made with fresh chillis. In the past we have had these dishes from other Chinese takeaways made with curry powder to make them taste spicy,(yuk it's horrible) Just wish it was closer to where I live 😭

Not really worth a stroke of a star collected set meal awful chop suey no taste, refried chips, sweet and sour chicken balls only 5 in a portion and they were soggy, rice was bland don't waste your money over priced and rubbish. Shame it used to be nice here.

been coming here for over 15 years spending well over £20 per visit and always got a small bag of prawn crackers included. went tonight and only spent £18 no prawn crackers you have to spend over £19 to get free prawn crackers which must cost a few pence to make. this is the last time i will ever go again.

Large order ready in 20 minutes for collection. Food was all fresh and very tasty. Could not fault any of the order. All dishes were superb.

I had par po duck egg fried rice and plain noodles. Absolutely horrible the par pod duck was watery and tasteless the noodles were cold and dry the rice was ok but it’s rice. I will never use again with out doubt the worst Chinese meal I’ve ever had. I should have known when looking through the window at the scruffy kitchen. All this for the massive price of just under £15 what a joke. It’s back to the noodle in on London road for me. Avoid this dive at all costs.

Awful customer service ever!!! This was my first time ordering from here and it will be my last!! The food arrived perfectly on time which was great because it was a Saturday as well. Once we received our food unfortunately they gave us sweet and sour sauce instead of curry sauce, which was a problem as that is not what we had ordered. I rang the takeaway straight away and informed them they had given us the wrong sauce and that can we please have our originally sauce we had ordered, she instantly made me feel like I was lying to her as it felt like she didn’t believe me and I was trying to scam her for curry sauce...which is absolutely ridiculous and pointless! She informed me she will get another driver to send me out a curry sauce, after waiting for 1hr 30 Mins NO CURRY SAUCE WAS DELIVERED!!! We rang her the 2nd time and she said the exact same thing and put the phone down on me, after the 3rd time I rang she said the EXACT SAME THING and then tried on Reimbursing me for the sweet and sour sauce or take it off my next order! To get to the point don’t order from this take away because if you receive something wrong in your order 9/10 you won’t get the correct thing, you will just be ignored unfortunately. Worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever been to and will be the last 🙃🙃🙃

Ordered food at 5.30pm on NYE hoping to get in early, that came to £48 for delivery. No food after 1 hour, waited some more no food after 2 hours, so phoned them up. Told it is on its way. Still no delivery half hour later. Phone up and spend the next 40 minutes arguing over the mistake they clearly made and a discount. Offered it for £40 which we refused. Eventually I had to go down there to collect and they were blmaing the lady that takes the order and telling she had to make up the different of the discount. Eventually settled on £25 and assurance she does not get charged. Never received such bad customer service from all involved. Greedy and rude people. Mistakes all around with orders that's clear to see what waiting. Been ordering here for 12 years and will never come back again. Stay clear of you want good fast service and mistakes quickly resolved.

Avoid this Chinese, ordered food which came To £27 which isn’t cheap. Asked for my order to be confirmed back to me, when it arrived there was no large fried rice but yet I was charged for it, ordered chicken satay with a extra skewer they sent me one skewer but no other satay which resulted on my young son having no food. Called the shop and liability was admitted but when I asked for the food to be sent out the owner said no I would have to pay a further £4.50 for the food as they never charged me for it but yet it was on slip. So they make mistakes send ur order out to you then try to take more money off you even though have admitted liability. Never again will I use this takeaway.

Best chinese in my area and I always go there but I’m fuming tonight. Ordered my scran at 7, it’s now 9, should have ordered my food last Thursday cause it might have come by now. Starting to think china delight is actually in China not Sheffield. Are they cooking my salt and pepper chicken next to a high wattage light bulb? Are they frying my rice one grain at a time? Peeling the spuds with a pencil sharper? Fuming aswell cause I had a cornetto for afters but that’s gone now cause I’m starving. My dad phoned earlier and was on hold for 5 minutes whilst they were looking for my order which isn’t great. I’m starting to hallucinate a little bit aswell, my sofa is starting to look like a spring roll. I’m starving HURRY UP!!!!!

We buy from China Delight almost weekly and have done for years. It isn't the cheapest take away, but the food is always good with decent sized portions. Only had better from one other place and it's not in Sheffield. We'd recommend them any time.

Awesome takeaway. My girlfriend and I have struggled to find a decent Chinese takeaway for years but after remembering once someone saying this was nice we decided to give it a go. We weren’t disappointed. The food was excellent. We ordered three dishes and each one was delicious. A lot of Chinese takeaways seem to be very greasy but this wasn’t at all , just well cooked a bursting with flavour. I’ve seen it mentioned that the English lady on reception is a bit frosty and to be honest she was a little but that won’t stop us going again because the food was so nice .

China delight is ok. The food is quite nice, but if you go into the shop they ignore actual customers to answer the phone orders. So you can wait quite along time with orders queuing up in front of you. We also check our order before we leave the shop because we have had the wrong dishes before now!

This was one of the best Chinese takeaway we have had in a long time. Plentiful tasty prompt delivery. We'll be back.

OK food. Staff are hostile English, with Chinese chefs in kitchen. Glared and barked at. Hostile staring from English staff. Average food. Expensive. Never again.

I always get my Chinese takeaway from China Delight, after being disappointed with other take-outs. The dishes are really tasty and not greasy. They use decent ingredients such as real chicken (not the horrible watery stuff) and a good range of Chinese vegetables. My favourite dishes are the 'Sea-spicy' ones (medium hot and beautifully tasty) and their tofu dishes. The Mushroom Chow-mein is really lovely with lots of sliced dark mushrooms, beansprouts and spring onions. I heartily recommend this place.

Beware you have to pay cash, ordered half a crispy duck was told we would have to have to quarters when we got it home one quarter was barely ok the other we couldn't eat it was burnt to a crisp, will not go again.

Did it's job as a hole filler, but the lack of vegetables, mushrooms and any care or imagination. If you order a special meal, that's what you expect, order any thing from here and I suspect you should be prepared to be underwhelmed. Thanks but no thanks.

Great place fast service good food

The review below is unfair. “Disgusting” implies that the food is bad. “Overpriced for what we ordered” might be fair, and then causing further doubt by saying a food inspector had visited is unfair too. That’s what they do after all. It is a good Chinese takeaway.

Ordered from here and although the service was relatively quick I found that the portions were much smaller for a higher price than other takeaways. Wouldn’t have minded but the food was a bit cold and the rice was had almost a plastic texture to it. May have just been unlucky though because my friend swears by them as an amazing Chinese takeaway.

Foods ok but that woman on the phone needs to learn some manners and look up the word personality in the dictionary. Very very rude woman with serious issues. sort yer head out luv your customer service is abysmal not ordering from these again purely cos of her!

Prawn crackers too thick and sweet, shrimp chow Mien bland. Singapore Chow Mien also bland. Waited about 25 mins. However the food wasn’t covered in grease.

Fantastic takeaway - been in business under the same name for more than a decade. Food is cooked quickly and honestly prepared in an open kitchen. Staff are committed to good service and quality cuisine.

My family has ordered from China Delight for many years and while you pay a little more than other places, it is very much worth what you pay! During holidays such as new years they will throw in a free calendar and sometimes some fortune cookies if they have some, and you always get free prawn crackers. Food is consistently given at a great quality and they deliver! :)

Typical Chinese, food not bad, plastic container they served mixed starter in melted against ribs so had plastic in food....

One of the worst takeaways I have ever purchased. 2x dodgy people taking the money (one wearing a dirty white vest), and counting receipts. 'Cash only', and no receipt for me? Food was awful and bland. PLEASE don't do it! Buy yourself a big Mac. At least you know what your getting🤐

Waiting for the bus coming home on a night out a few months ago I called in for some supper. Bought chips and curry sauce. Best curry sauce I've ever tasted. Have also had delivered and enjoyed sweet & sour chicken.

El principal de fideos de Singapur también fue agradable, pero la carne de vaca Szechuan era un poco demasiado dulce nunca tuvo una dulce todo lo contrario. Valor razonable para dinero y no grasiento.

Estaba un poco preocupado por algunas de las críticas anteriores, pero decidí probarlo aquí para un cambio. Realmente contentos de haberlo hecho, todo estaba delicioso, una buena variedad de verduras en los platos vegetarianos que conseguimos y los niños les encantó el pollo al curry. We ordered a takeaway from here after having previous good food when my parents used this place. We were so disappointed. We had the crispy prawn starter which tasted greasy, dirty oil and the batter inside the product was uncooked. The prawn toast again tasted of dirty oil. The spring roll was crisp but completely tasteless. The duck and the seaweed were equally tasteless and bland. I'm sorry but we won't be making a return visit.

Delight is not a word I would use!! Chicken wings covered in a slimey sauce the Mongolian curry bland and not ideal for curry lovers everything was cold and I live a few minutes away first and last time ordering that pile of crap!!!!!💩

I have used this place for years, they take time with deliveries it's usually 3/4 hour to an hour, this is hat we were told on this occasion. Having used this place you plan I suppose, but when it takes 1hour 45 minutes I feel it has lost point I may as well cook, the food was cold was delivered and the owner is in a service industry and has no concept or awareness of this no apology until of any strength. Would not use again they fail to realise that what they charge it is more a treat and the end product was very poor and service.May as well cook or go to a restaurant

Fast and efficient, you can watch your order being prepared while you wait. Can get very busy but if you have to wait, take a pew and hope you can get back up! Delivery service available but its as quick to call in person.
